Exceptional holiday, enjoyed by all. Superb location, superb accommodation. Steven from Beach (17 September 2016)
Lovely family break with plenty of room in the house. The games room was a bonus & popular with the family . beds were comfortable & the kitchen had everything we needed . lovely to see the ducklings coming up the drive way in the mornings. We had some lovely pub meals in the villages around . the owner was friendly & helpful ,would recommend to others ,a car is needed to reach all amenities Kay from Hertfordshire (03 September 2016)
A spacious cottage with pretty much everything you could need in a small pretty norfolk village. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The interior is in need of some redecoration and modernising but that's not a huge issue given you are only renting the cottage for a week or two rather than buying it! do bear in mind that it is an hour or so drive from the coast but other than that we would highly recommend the cottage and had a fantastic two weeks there. The large duck pond and play area literally across the road was very popular with our two young boys. Daniel from Wirral (13 August 2016)
This is a lovely cottage. You do need a car to get around as there is no local shop. It's in a nice peaceful village and a good base to visit other areas not to far from the main tourist areas. If you are two families staying at the cottage it could do with another shower as there is only one. Patricia from Northamptonshire (07 November 2015)
Located in a beautiful village. The house is perfect for a large group of people and family, especially with the bonus of the games room. You definitely need a car to get around as no amenities in the village or in walking distance. The decor is dated and could do with modernising. In the master bedroom the hot and cold taps were round the wrong way. However, the size of the place is great with lots of space to spread out. Michelle from Uckfield (14 September 2015)
Location fine, little annoyed that we had to pay £40 extra for electricity especially as we only used £10 worth. We have stayed in many holiday cottages and this is the first time we have paid extra for fuel. Marion from Cheshire (22 August 2015)
Just come back from a very enjoyable week at the old forge. The house is massive and with 6 adults and 2 children there was plenty enough space with 2 lounges, a games room (very popular with my 14 year old) and a huge kitchen. we cooked every day and didn't need for anything as fully equipped kitchen and bbq. There are also two very big fridge freezers too. The owner was very friendly as were the locals. The location is very remote, no local shop to get a paper or a few essentials from and we had to drive around an hour each day (minimum) for things to do with the kids. there are however some beautiful beaches, esp holkham which are well worth a visit . only negative is could do with a shower in the ensuite (which is once again huge) as one shower for 8 is not enough. all in all lovely house which I would recommend if you want to get away from everything . Jules from Brighton (15 August 2015)
We enjoyed our stay very much quite lovely setting, the only thing I would say it would benefit from another shower, as we were lining up with seven of us to shower. It was lovely to see mother duck with her ducklings walking up the drive every day. There is everything there that you need, would definitely go again. Sheila from Chelmsford (25 July 2015)
A beautiful cottage in a lovely picturesque village. The owner could not have been more friendly & accommodating. It's a perfect location for exploring this gorgeous county and we cannot recommend this place highly enough! Ian from Littlehampton (30 May 2015)
It was ok. Nice neighborhoud Koenraad from Ekeren-Antwerpen (11 April 2015)
We had plenty of room for all our family from granny to the youngest child. Seperate lounge for kids a bonus and good fun with the snooker table and darts. The owner could not have been more helpful, anything we needed just ask. A place for peace and quiet or hop in the car and go paintballing or swimming the choice was ours. a great holiday was had by all. Darren from Peterborough (21 February 2015)
We had such a great time ! we were in a group of 8 people plus our 2 dogs. The house is massive and very comfortable! the shower could have more pressure and during winter would be good to have a portable heating for the games room. Apart from that no complaints at all! the village is beautiful and so the house. We met the owner who was polite and nice to us. Would definitely come back to the old forge cottage! Geisa from London (10 November 2014)
The old forge was comfortable and extremely spacious in a quiet and pretty village. the duck pond was popular with our grandson and there was also a small play area nearby which he enjoyed. Ideal location for exploring the area. we would certainly recommend this cottage to others. Eileen from Croydon (20 September 2014)
Our family has just spent 2 weeks at the old forge and we have had a wonderful time there. The village is really peaceful and very relaxing. A car is needed but you can have a walk to the local pub which takes about half an hour. Owner is really helpful and friendly. There are a lot of places to visit within 30-40 mins. Grandkids loved the ducks coming to visit every day so take plenty of seed with you as there are a lot of them. Would recommend this house as it is very spacious. Carol from Brixham, Devon (23 August 2014)
We had a lovely stay at the old forge. The cottage was spotless, had plenty of space (great with two small boys to entertain) and everything we needed for a relaxing break. Sarah from London (05 May 2014)
Very spacious, clean, comfortable and generally well equipped cottage, although it would benefit from a double oven and hob if you are going to cook for the maximum number of people who can stay there. That aside I would not hesitate to stay there again and highly recommend it for a relaxing holiday. Steve from Haddenham, Ely (04 January 2014)
A really lovely cottage, lovely and spacious downstairs and good size bedrooms. Perfect for large families/groups of friends. Only reason it doens't get 10 is that it could do with at least one extra shower. Friendly owner and lovely location. We will definitely be back. Deb from Ipswich (14 October 2013)
I loved the property and although the general area was lovely I found the village, for me, too remote. It was necessary to drive for everything. Ann from Rotherham (14 September 2013)
Very roomy and comfortable - nice location. found the bath in the ensuite to the main bedroom a tight squeeze and a shower in that room would definately help. Roy from Brentwood (24 August 2013)
We had a really good time the owner was very nice the house was well equipped maybe 1 or 2 things could be added but didn't stop us having a nice time. Elaine from Rotherham (10 August 2013)
Much larger than expected, pictures on the net do not do it justice. Some nice local walks, saw deer, barn owl, hare and rabbits, local duck pond was a favorite of the grand daughter, wanted to feed the ducks every day. Owner very nice. John from Basildon (22 Jun 2013)
Very spacious well equipped, clean, enclosed garden lovely for our dogs we all had a fantastic time from the youngest 10 weeks to his grampy Rosemary from Buckinghamshire (08 Jun 2013)
The house was brilliant, huge we didnt use the second sitting room!! Sinead from Greenhithe (01 Jun 2013)
Amazing house, beautiful location and the games room was great, kids didn't play with anything we brought with us. Owner is really friendly. Nicola from Bideford (13 April 2013)
The sheer comfort and size was fantastic, there were 8 females staying and had plenty of room. The owners very lovely and friendly. Would absolutely stay again. Sharon from Diss (24 September 2012)
