A lovely stay in the old dairy. Fantastic cottage for kids, all on one level with an enclosed garden. Good location within easy reach of the coast, broads etc although you do need a car with not much within walking distance. A great place to get away from it. The owners were really nice, taking time with our kids to show them the animals which they loved. Well equipped house, I would have given a 10 but there wasn't a bbq which would have been a nice addition as the weather was nice. Lyn from Ilkley (02 June 2017)
We really enjoyed our stay at the old dairy. My children ages 5 and 3 were very pleased with the box of toys left for them upon arrival and the private and enclosed back garden was perfect for them and our dog. There are beautiful walks straight from the cottage (weavers way was great for cycling) and we found the cottage was in a good location to explore north norfolk. Thank you to the owners for the lovely fresh eggs and homemade fruit compote/marmalade. We would love to return! Hannah from Northants (29 May 2017)
Beautiful area to stay in to reach various attractions. very comfortable and peaceful property Adele from Colchester (19 May 2017)
Beautiful place to stay, short drive from lovely villages and coastal towns. It had everything and more than we asked for and the dogs settled into the cottage well Marie from Colchester (12 May 2017)
We had a lovely holiday at the old dairy - 4 adults, a toddler and a baby. The place is in a lovely rural location with great attractions close by like aylesbury, blinkling hall, cromer and norwich - all within easy reach. The place was very clean and comfortable with everything you could need. The owners are also very friendly and we really appreciated the big box of baby toys that they left us and the nice fresh bread, homemade jams etc. Very thoughtful. Customer 5 (01 May 2017)
Lovely comfy cosy well equipped cottage. beautiful and peaceful rural location. friendly and helpful owners. Great to have a truly enclosed and secure garden for the dogs. all in all a great place that we would like to return to and very happy to recommend. Judith from Malton (16 September 2016)
We really enjoyed our holiday. Corrine from Rushden (02 September 2016)
This is the second time that we have stayed at the old dairy and we found it just as enjoyable as the the 1st it's lovely cottage owned and run by a great couple. Trevor and alison genuinly care and are always happy to show the kids the animals terrance the chicken was the star of the show for our 8 year old! I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay here. Vicky from Nottingham (19 August 2016)
We had a good week at the old dairy. The one major thing we didn't like was the very low windows which meant the inside was quite dark- with no views of outside if you are more than about five feet tall. We feel that this should be made clear in the description of the property: we appreciate that it's an old building but such very low windows are abnormal in ground floor rooms (trust me i'm an architect- and i'm not that tall!). Michael from Macclesfield (05 August 2016)
Very comfortable cottage bigger than expected from photos. Good base to tour around the broads and north norfolk and coast. Lovely restful (and rural!) location with a nice enclosed garden. Owners live next door and were very helpful and provided a lovely welcome pack including fresh eggs from their hens and homemade jam. Would stay again but hope for better weather next time! Kate from Doncaster (03 June 2016)
Great cottage in quiet location. Friendly hosts. Secure garden for young children or dogs. Would recommend to others without hesitation. Eileen from Milton Keynes (27 May 2016)
Lovely cottage, lots of goodies from owners next door to welcome us. Very well equipped and plenty of hot water, heating and fuel. Mattresses a bit hard but then we're used to memory foam otherwise no complaints. Access down a single track lane but plenty of passing places. No shops or pub within walking distance. Margaret from Derby (20 May 2016)

Our son really enjoyed seeing the chickens, sheep and horses each morning! with a two year old safety is top of the list and the cottage offered a great stay, it even had two boxes of toys to keep him amused for hours. It was a beautiful cottage with really nice owners living next door - friendly and there if you needed them for anything. The garden was enclosed for one puppy and 10yr old grandson. The surrounding area was great for exploring. pubs and n.t on the doorstep. Would certainly re-visit for a great break. Margaret from Birchington (06 June 2014)
We enjoyed our short break at the old dairy. The enclosed garden was lovely, perfect for our dog. The location, right on the weaver's way is fantastic, ideal for walks, from the front door. Close to the coast and the broads too. We will definitely book again. Jane from Market Harborough (21 April 2014)
We had a wonderful long weekend at the old dairy, 3 adults, a 4 year old and our small bundle of fur. Our dog was very well catered for and had her own towel left out for her. She enjoyed the enclosed garden and we knew she was safe outside. The views and walks out across the open countryside were wonderful. Alison and trevor invited our 4 year old to see the newly hatched chicks which was a wonderful treat. Fresh eggs, homemade jam, milk and bread were all we needed if we had not had chance to shop..in fact we had everything we needed in the cottage. The ship at mundesley offers good meals and dogs are welcome in the bar, although we braved the sea breeze and ate our sunday lunch outside watching the younger generation play on the boat in the garden! blickling hall made a lovely trip out, as did wroxham barns and the steam train at aylesham..dogs are allowed on the train. We were sad to leave and would definitely return for another relaxing break. Maria from Bedfordshire (14 April 2014)
Great holiday getaway. Went with my partner and german shepherd. Nice size, for once I turned up and it was much bigger than I expected from the pictures. Beautiful dog walks and surrounding. I bumped into the owners and they were very helpful with and questions I asked. The homemade jam and eggs from there own chickens was a lovely touch. Would recommend to couples and families with or without dogs. Lee from Essex/Maldon (30 March 2014)
This was our 3rd visit as a family and is great for our dogs. We have 2 large dogs and not many properties allow that. The house is in the middle of the nowhere but it provides a good access to Norwich, Holt and other towns in North Nrfolk coast. We enjoyed using fire place, kitchen was clean and well equipped. The rooms were clean and nice. We would go again. Customer 57 (October 2011)
This was a fantastic cottage, and brilliant with a dog. Garden really secure, and lots of walks nearby. Alison and Trevor were excellent ’hosts’ - left us alone, but were always available if needed. The homemade jam, farm eggs, bread, butter and jug of milk on arrival were a lovely and very thoughtful touch. A very good base for exploring Norfolk including trips to the coast, Nat Trust and other properties, the Broads etc. Altogether a very happy, comfortable week. Customer 58 (September 2011)
Located on the edge of a small quiet village, ideal spot as a base for cycling or walking being very close to the Weavers Way, Bure Valley and the Marriotts Way. Customer 59 (September 2011)
Lovely peaceful location and excellent facilities. The access to the Weavers way path was great and the folder in the cottage with circular walks around the area of the cottage was a great idea. We had a very warm welcome and really appreciated the little essentials left for us on our arrival (bread, milk, fresh laid eggs, home made jam & butter etc). The cottage was well located for visiting all the local attractions, the coast, the broads, stately homes & wildlife reserves. Customer 60 (May 2011)
The cottage was well placed for visiting the coast and other places of interest in Norfolk. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival, fresh bread, eggs and jams were supplied. The cottage had a totally enclosed garden which was excellent for the dogs, especially as one is a Lakeland terrier and can squeeze through gaps! The weather was fantastic and there were lovely walks straight from the door! Beautiful and quiet location. We would definitely book this cottage for another holiday. Customer 61 (April 2011)
