The cottage suited us and we had the type of holiday we were looking for. The information available about things to see and do in the area was excellent. The hosts were on hand and friendly. The cottage was peaceful and quiet with plenty of country walks from the doorstep.
Caroline from Gaulby (29 July 2017)

Jeannette from Northampton (22 July 2017)

Lovely cottage with wonderful owners. Fully equipped, comfortable and clean. Lovely village. Great area for touring. Also great country walks
Pat from Nova Scotia Canada (20 May 2017)

Our dogs and ourselves were made very welcome and the cottage itself is lovely and cosy. The enclosed garden was a real boon especially as we were blessed with sunshine for much of our week. It is well equipped and is well located for walks and very good local pubs.
Ian from Liphook (13 May 2017)

The forge is a beautiful, cosy but spacious cottage. Di and geoff have maintained the character of the cottage whilst equipping it with every modern convenience that you could possibly wish for while on holiday. there is great walking right from the door, and with great malvern station a short distance away, it was a welcome treat to be able to leave the car at home and travel by train. there are local buses to worcester and tewkesbury should you feel the need to go further afield. the local pub serves great food and ales. all in all, a fabulous relaxing stay and we will definitely be returning.
Jo from Reading (06 May 2017)

What an absolutely fabulous place, a gorgeous period cottage in its own fabulous garden. Inside there is everything you could possibly ask for, and then more; more like a home than a holiday cottage. There is so much to do in the area, and then it is lovely to come back to this idyllic cottage and just relax. You will find the most delicious home-made cake waiting! the cottage is warm, quiet, extremely comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Di and geoff are the perfect hosts and have created a very special place. Lots of local fantastic dining options if you don't want to use the well-equipped kitchen. We will certainly be returning to this real gem.
Timothy from Nottingham (29 April 2017)

Neal from Isle Of Skye (22 October 2016)

Our fourth visit to the comfortable and well equipped cottage. Welcomed as before by the helpful and friendly owners. Local quiet walks and interesting places to visit within easy reach by car. On a quiet road which has only a small amount of traffic morning and evening it made a welcome break away from our home telephone and doorbell!
Ken from Kenilworth (10 September 2016)

Lovely well equipped cottage. Excellent for exploring malvern. Lovely, helpful hosts.
Sara from Surrey (03 September 2016)

The cottage was perfect in every way and the owners, diane and geoff, were extremely welcoming and helpful. the cottage was very comfortable and equipped with everything one could possibly need and the setting was idyllic. we will definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing and peaceful holiday.
Linda from Liverpool (18 April 2016)

We last visited this cottage about 7 years ago when we had our dog and thoroughly. Enjoyed it. we decided a couple of weeks ago to visit it again and were lucky enough. To find it vacant for the weekend. they have maintained the high standard which we. Remember and it is still as warm and quiet and relaxing as before.
Erica from Doncaster (07 March 2016)

We had a great time staying at the forge in january. The cottage is surprisingly big inside with a nice open plan design. We enjoyed having the log burning stove to use, although the cottage was warm enough without. We used the cottage as a base to explore the malvern hills. Our dog enjoyed the house and the garden, which was enclosed and secure. We had a very relaxing break. Diana and geoffrey made us feel very welcome. The cottage had everything we needed, although the shower could do with changing as the water flow was very weak. We would definitely think about returning to the malverns again and staying at the forge.
Amy from Yateley (30 January 2016)

Great location, fabulous cottage, can't wait to go again.
Clare from High Wycombe (31 October 2015)

Beautiful cottage in great location and excellent for dogs. very cosy, well equipped and perfect for us.
Kate from Sevenoaks (10 October 2015)

An excellent cottage, very friendly proprietors who were available if needed, but not intrusive. warm and comfortable. dog-proof garden a real asset for two tiny dogs.
Christine from King'S Lynn (25 September 2015)

The forge was a delightful cottage in a lovely area, the owners most helpful.

Ken from Kenilworth (12 September 2015)

A lovely comfortable cottage with a very warm welcome from the lovely owners, would definitely stay here again.
Ellie from Manchester (25 July 2015)

A lovely location and cottage, very peaceful, with enclosed gardens and hard flooring downstairs, perfect if you have dogs on holiday. Friendly community in the area. Ideal for country walks direct from the cottage. Owners geoff & di are genuinely nice people who are like good neighbours during the stay. A short drive and you are in the malvern hills or pershore. We would love to stay again.
Steve from Denham (29 May 2015)

Excellent! the owners were helpful and friendly and the premises near perfect.
Graham from Mortimer (23 May 2015)

This is a well equipped lovely comfy cottage. Well placed for exploring the hills and hosts di and geoff are very welcoming and loved our dogs. Highly recommend.
Rachel from Winchester (28 March 2015)

Warm when it was cold, windy but largely sunny. comfortable with everything one could want or expect. excellent dog venue. one morning the maverns glittered snow-capped in the sunshine. great base for walking and visiting local family, friends and national trust properties. decent bed so we slept well; comfortable sofa and chairs. owners live on-site but one never felt watched! nine stars rather than ten only because the furniture and decoration were a bit pedestrian.
Michael from Plymouth (07 March 2015)

A warm welcome from the owners who were on hand if you had any problems but respected your privacy.all round a wonderful holiday.
Confirmed Guest (28 February 2015)

Diana and geoff greeted us warmly and the delicious cake was most appreciated after our long journey. They couldn't have been kinder. the location was brilliant for us with the dog and there is wonderful walking on the malvern hills. we had everything we needed in the cottage, enjoyed its spaciousness and it was very clean and tidy. the spiral staircase wouldn't suit a lot of people but did not pose a problem for us. Rocco mastered it very quickly! our only very slight quibble was the size of the bath towels. we certainly hope to go back again.
Penny from Elham (30 January 2015)

Excellent!
Elizabeth from Leamington Spa (11 January 2015)

Everything was perfect apart from the cooker breaking, but that could not be helped, and I know had our stay been longer it would have been dealt with while we were there.
Anneliese from Blackmill (08 December 2014)

This is by far the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in anywhere in the country! it is the first time I haven't felt that I should wash the cutlery and crockery before using it. we had a very warm welcome from the owners. it is very comfortable, beautifully decorated and furnished, and in a lovely peaceful location which is nevertheless close to everywhere we wanted to go. we were particularly impressed by the totally safe dog-friendly lawn at the front and the enclosed garden space at the back: even our lively young labrador couldn't get out! we enjoyed the log fire but the central heating kept the cottage nice and warm without it. there was plenty of safe parking space for our two cars, not on the road. we are not surprised that the property has three gold awards and they certainly deserve another one, in our opinion! nb we were not on holiday - we moved out of our own house while we had a new kitchen fitted.
Anne from Malvern (28 November 2014)

Friendly welcome from the owners who were available for help or advice if needed but did not intrude. Accommodation is spacious, clean and comfortable and well equipped.
Ken from Kenilworth (06 November 2014)

Highly recommended. Lovely, compact cottage. Owners very helpful and friendly. Very welcoming.
Neal from Isle Of Skye (25 October 2014)

We had a lovely weekend break at the forge. the only problem is that it wasn't long enough!. the garden was totally safe for the dogs and the cottage was very clean and welcoming with everything we needed. Ignore the sat nav though when looking for it . ask a local!!
Pat from Chelmsford (22 September 2014)

Lovely cottage and best equipped we have stayed in.
Roz from Sudbury (19 September 2014)

Lovely cottage, very clean with everything you could need, including usage instructions for all equipment, home from home.
Ivan from Flitwick, Bedford (13 September 2014)

Wonderful owners who are very attentive and helpful
Cherry from Beccles (23 August 2014)

We were met on arrival by the owners who were friendly and helpful. The cottage was well equipped and also had books/dvds and plenty of information on local attractions. The location is very peaceful, but within a short distance of great malvern, upton on severn and worcester. A shop and pub are within walking distance. We had a really relaxing and enjoyable week.
Andrew from Holyhead (16 August 2014)

This is one of the best cottages we have stayed in while we have been holidaying with our dog. We have holidayed with our dog for a few years now and have been all over england.
Susan from Spennymoor County Durham (26 July 2014)

Fantastic cottage in a lovely rural setting . an excellent place from which to explore the malverns & beyond . highly recommended accommodation , will definitely return !

Jacqueline from Princess Risborough (07 June 2014)

What a great cottage - the owners were so kind and helpful and it was just perfect for us in every way. thoroughly enjoyed our week and will certainly be going again.
Kate from Ightham (17 May 2014)

We did not realise this property had a spiral staircase which we could not negotiate. This meant we were limited to the downstairs of the property
Kate from Tarleton (03 May 2014)

Geoff and di have put so much thought and care into making the forge comfortable and well equipped. The log burner was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend to other holiday makers. .
Kim from Maidstone (12 April 2014)

A very enjoyble stay. The overall standard was very high and deserving of the gold award.
Philip from Bridlington (22 March 2014)

Great location, cottage well presented. Fantastic wood burner. Secure garden to front and rear - great for dogs. Owners lovely. One of the best cottages we have stayed in...and we have been in cottages all over the country for the past 30 years.
Barbara from St Helens (15 March 2014)

Very friendly, and the home baked cake was delicious. The log burner was fantastic lovely and warm, the swan local pub pet friendly with good food and warming fire. Visit to the morgan factory a must and walking the malvern hills breathtaking. .
Sylvia from Anglesey (14 February 2014)

This was our second visit and it didn't disappoint - we hope it won't be our last! we would thoroughly recommend the forge. The owners are unobtrusive but always ready to help.
Richard from Tenterden (18 January 2014)

Practical and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.
Andrea from Salisbury (22 November 2013)

The only reason we would not stay again is that we had been on business locally and you could not get a signal on your mobile or connect to wifi which was a must for the business and the reson we booked the cottage. The cottage and the owners are first class. If you are looking for a fantastic place to relax this is it!!
Amanda from Shrewsbury (17 November 2013)

Friendly and helpful owners gave us a warm and comfortable holiday. Y
John from Harpenden (02 November 2013)

Friendly non obtrusive owners next door. lovely old conversion. Upstairs mezzanine bedroom uncomfortably hot in very warm weather we enjoyed during stay.
Stuart from Portsmouth (13 Jul 2013)

The owners were helpful but not intrusive. Quiet and relaxing setting
Susana from Hull (08 Jun 2013)

Very comfortable and welcoming cottage. Arrived to find owners preparing fire for us which was so welcome with the impending rain. Owners very warm and friendly and helpful. Modern large wide screen tv, dvd and even vhs. Lots of towels and blankets. Great oven and gas hob, private parking and enjoyed the sound of sheep off in the distance. we managed to cook lovely meals and enjoyed the comforts of a clean cottage. Plenty of reading material if you forgot yours and easy access to the village or hills for walking which we did on sunday morning. Really lovely cottage.
Kitty from London (15 April 2013)

Excellent safe enclosed garden for my chihuahua. Plentiful supply of logs for the wonderful woodburner. Quiet but withing easy reach of amenities. Friendly but unobtrusive owners. Good walks in surrounding area. Love it!

Jani from Witney (11 February 2013)

-friendly owners. -the whole cottage esp log fire. -we arrived as boyfriend and girlfriend and left as fiancees; the cottage and surrounding malvern landscapes provided the ideal setting.

Paula from Sunderland (06 October 2012)

We have stayed in many holiday cottages. This was one of the best two we’ve been in. Immaculate interior, all the facilities you could need and friendly, helpful owners.
Customer 68 (September 2012)

A lovely and relaxing holiday was spent at the forge. I cannot praise the owners of the cottage enough for their warm welcome and generous hospitality. They made themselves available if we needed them but were not intrusive. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. I would recommend the forge without hesitation to other holiday makers and we hope to return there ourselves in the future.
Carol from Hull (25 August 2012)

Very comfortable and pleasant cottage. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners. If you want a peaceful holiday in very nice surroundings, this is the place to go.
Customer 70 (August 2012)

The cottage was lovely and had everything (except oven gloves, and if im honest, the sofa and chairs were not particulary comfortable), that you could need. We also had a Sainburys online delivery for the food and that was the best idea ever! No trying to find that supermarket on the first day. The only thing i was surprised by was the closeness of the owners house, but it really wasnt a problem. A very peaceful and delightful garden and great for the dog, as it actually was fully enclosed unlike others we have stayed in. A good location for the hills and other walks, although walks from the door were slightly limited. We had a lovely relaxing time and would highly recommended this cottage to couples particularly.
Customer 71 (June 2012)

Extremely well-equipped cottage, spacious and clean. Kind and helpful owners. Village shop charges for carrier bags and debit cards, also expensive. Phipps the butchers in Hanley Swan excellent, pies are lovely. Hope to go back next year!
Customer 72 (June 2012)

Very well maintained, clean, comfortable and everything there that you could possibly want. Ideal for dogs with lots of walks and very safe garden for them to be off lead. Owners were very welcoming. A lovely village with an excellent butcher! Central for exploring Malvern, Worcester and surrounding areas.
Customer 73 (May 2012)

The wood burner was terrific and the owners supplied all the wood we required. there was a back courtyard garden and a front lawned garden - perfect for our dogs. we cannot recommend the forge enough.
Mary from Stowmarket (28 April 2012)

WOW !!! One of the best holiday cottages we have ever had. The weather was awful but the stove burner more than made up for it as we had logs included so we lit the fire nearly every night. Geoff and Di Lack (the owners) were more than helpful although we didn’t have to ask for their help often as everything was to hand. We did notice that cottages 4 you had given them a GOLD AWARD and we think was thoroughly deserved. The garden was perfect for our 2 dogs, fully enclosed. Thank you.
Customer 75 (April 2012)

The cottage was superb and well deserved of the Gold Award, thank God it was so good as the weather was awful!!! It rained everyday and we were in Worcester the day the photographer from the Daily Mail took pictures of the floods!
Customer 76 (April 2012)

Lovely cottage in a lovely location (although much nearer to the road than it appears in the photographs). We really enjoyed our 2 night break and wished it could have been longer. Very cosy and warm and everything you could possibly want is catered for, with good quality crockery. The owners Geoff and Di were very friendly and helpful and the mince pies on arrival were very welcome !
Customer 77 (December 2011)

This is a lovely cosy property, beautifully and thoughtfully equipped by the friendly, welcoming owners who are helpful but unobtrusive. The Comment’s book has entries from people making second visits - always a good sign. This was our first trip to the Malverns and we found the Forge well situated for exploring the area. We’ve taken over 50 cottage holidays and the Forge comes very high on our list of favourites.
Customer 78 (November 2011)

A great little cottage, from the guest book seems very popular! Would recommend it to dog owners, enclosed gardens and good local walks. The log burner is amazing! Plus the local shop, while being small and basic, does some wonderful local ales! Also pretty good O2 reception but no 3G...
Customer 79 (November 2011)

One of the nicest and most certainly best equipped places I have stayed in. Highly recommend.
Customer 80 (October 2011)

We have holidayed in cottages for many years now, this is undoubtedly one of the best in all aspects.

A very comfortable and well appointed cottage with a pretty, private garden. All needs had been very carefully thought of.
Customer 83 (July 2011)

Well presented cottage in lovely rural surroundings. We have stayed at The Forge a number of times and we will undoubtedly return. Di and Geoff are superb, very friendly hosts.
Customer 84 (June 2011)

Property had everything we could possibly need and is in a location where very handy to go to a number of places without taking too long. Many of the people who stay there appear to be walkers but this tme we were unable to do that as my husband’s mother came too. The Morgan factory tour is a recommended visit to anybody interested in cars. We never realised about the Upton music festivals - that seems a big thing for the area.
Customer 85 (June 2011)

Made to feel very welcome on arrival with home made cake and milk. Our dog Bella also made to feel welcome. Well equipped cottage with quality crockery etc. Beautiful area ideally located surrounded by fields. Only 1/2 mile walk to shops, dog friendly pub and duck pond. A real taste of country life. Sad to come home.
Customer 86 (April 2011)

A lovely place to stay and very well-equipped. One reservation is that the free wireless internet connection didn’t work which was annoying for a ’techie’ like my husband. Maybe it shouldn’t be on the list as being available.
Customer 87 (April 2011)

Located in quite area of village with walks for dogs nearby. Super helpfull owners make you feel very welcome. Goog pubs nearby and easy access to malvern hills.
Customer 88 (April 2011)

This is a fantastic property and the owners have been so helpful which has made our stay very enjoyable. Great to here geese flying over in the morning and meet Harriot the chicken. Our dog loved all the country smells and our daughter had lots of fun playing with all the games in the cottage and great reading books to. There was a lovely cake on arrival with milk and tea. Sorry to leave.
Customer 89 (January 2011)

The cottage was one of the best we’ve ever stayed in, well equipped, lovely location, and lovely hosts.

Customer 100 (May 2010)

The attention to detail was noticable throughout the property. Far and above any other property I have stayed in.
Customer 101 (April 2010)

This was a lovely cottage, quaint and cosy.
Customer 102 (April 2010)

Fantastic cottage one of the best we have stayed in. Beautifully furnished, well equipped and the loveliest set of china. The owner provided home made cake on arrival which as lovely and also free wood for the wood burner. We were very warm and cosy. Lovely area to stay in and lots of information in the cottage to make the best of our holiday.
Customer 103 (March 2010)

Wow this place is perfect for a quiet but not remote cottage. The setting wonderful for walking the Malverns, and helped with a cake on arrival. Di and Geoff were so welcoming and really added that special touch to a great holiday. I am sure we will be back!!!
Customer 104 (March 2010)

The Forge was very well equipped, beautifully clean and maintained, the owner were really helpful but not intrusive, and there was a fabulous freshly baked cake when we arrived.
Customer 105 (February 2010)

Well appointed - lots of "extras " provided.
Customer 106 (January 2010)
