We had a lovely time and 2 the courtyard is a very lovely property. Zoe from Market Harborough (14 July 2017)
Not cosy- in need of basics such as chair in bedroom - stool in bathroom - new towels that are absorbent - toaster was old as was the television - mattress in main bedroom too uncomfortable - condensation in bedroom windows in the morning - locks on windows not foolproof Sandra from Norwich (16 June 2017)
We enjoyed it so much we extended our visit. Spacious accommodation in a tranquil location with easy access to beautiful woodlands (especially stunning with all the bluebells in flower), the coastal path, beaches and local towns. Highly recommended. Confirmed Guest (24 April 2017)
Great stay and would recommend for anyone who would like easy access to a beautiful country park and within walking distance to the northern cliffs with spectacular views. . . the cottage itself as was well equipped and generous room sizes. Long was huge and very spacious. We had expected the bedroom downstairs to be near a toilet for easy access to a disabled family member but this was not the case. Despite this though a lovely cottage. . only one thing I would suggest is for the owners to consider having a bike shed. The area is fantastic for cycling and this extra security would have made the stay perfect. Imam from Bristol (07 April 2017)
Thought the apartment was very good. the quality of the equipment and furnishings were far beyond a lot of self catering accommodation. The grounds it sits in are beautifully kept. We would certainly stay again when we are in that part of cornwall. A couple of minor points, a chair in the main bedroom would be useful for leaving clothes on and if it was possible, though being a listed building it may not be, is some discreet lighting of the stone steps down to the front door. Rhona from Plymouth (31 March 2017)
Gorgeous house, fabulous location and central to just about everything in cornwall Rob from Lincolnshire (10 February 2017)
Good accommodation, well located for following the weather east, west or south, and fail all else you can spend time studying the works of art throughout the "cottage"! range of local supermarkets is good. Ability to walk out from the cottage in to the park or to the cliffs to the north is also good. Cottage is well equipped, very "designer" in style and feels very special. Steve from Wilmslow (23 September 2016)
While we were there we had a lovely time. It is a beautiful place to stay in and really well equipped. We agree with previous guests that curtains overlooking the rear garden would give more privacy on dark evenings. Would have liked to have a map of the trehidy estate. We have already booked for next year. Trevor from Calver (09 September 2016)
The property is very clean and tidy. The local shops in pool are relatively few, but there is lots to do of course in cornwall generally. The estate itself is very quiet so for a peaceful break it is perfect. The furnishings are very good so it makes for a comfortable place to be when the weather is not too good. We had a thoroughly enjoyable break and would go to the courtyard again. Stuart from Solihull (19 August 2016)
Would have been nice to have some garden furniture that was us able Paul from Crawley (10 June 2016)
Fantastic location in a absolute beautiful area. Very close to a forest, which even makes it ideal for kids. The house is amazing, part of the really nice park area. Very clean, all equipment was as promised and nothing to claim. We can only recommend this perfect place for holidays. Confirmed Guest (03 June 2016)
What an absolute privilege to be able to stay in part of this wonderful property. We always try to spend a little time researching our chosen properties prior to each booking but the delight we have had in staying here for a week more than exceeded our expectations. The property is part of the story of the history of the county as we found on our travels around & has been carefully & tastefully presented . a beautiful area to explore & enjoy. Thankyou Graham from Bedford (29 April 2016)
Fantastic location in country park and within walking distance to the coastal and local beaches. The property is of an extremely high standard with all the necessary equipment and also very comfortable. Wifi was also available. The owner was very helpful when contacted. John from Dudley (26 October 2015)
The whole area is beautiful. the house is gorgeous and surrounded in peace and quiet. a total relaxing holiday. if you have an inner snob this house will definitely bring it out in you. Kim from Surrey (16 October 2015)
Beautifully quiet in a wonderful location this is a perfect getaway from it all choice. Confirmed Guest (02 October 2015)
Great house in a fantastic location Matt from Munich (07 September 2015)
Lovely accommodation, lovely location. Really high quality furniture and furnishings, very comfortable and a luxury treat. location wise you are so near so many sites and right in the tehidy national park which was perfect. . one disappointment in that there were no tvs in the bedrooms as advertised. however on a positive note it was advertised with no wifi, but wifi is now available. Clarita from Nottingham (21 August 2015)
Perfect locatiion, garden and building. The start was a little confusing: payment fee for payment with credit card, booking fee.. from cottages4u. We where happy that we did not have also to pay for electricity. The plan to find the house was wrong and we need with high end navigation systems and asking many people in this area nearly 2 hours to find. As we arrived, we had not telephone contact number and nobody was at the house. We ask a neighbour to help us. He knows, where the key was put near the house.. but after all these starting problems we where extremely surprised about the luxury house. We will come back and can say that everything in this house and around this nice garden is more than perfect. The owners have a lot of taste for nice colors and nice interieur. Thank you for this good time! villa-schmidt.de Michael from Hamdburg (20 October 2014)
Excellent venue, spacious and pretty comfortable. Lots of odd lights not working tho expecially the outside light at night and the upstairs landing. Good for visiting places as centrally located. new table and chairs with cushions to put on outside would be nice as they are unstable on the gravel for an elderly person. Malcolm from Bournemouth (03 October 2014)
Had an excellent stay here. There is internet access available now. Ideally placed for touring cornwall. John from London (12 September 2014)
Lovely property and nicely furnished, but could have been cleaner (there were lots of spiders in residence) and the neighbours are all full time residents and not particularly friendly - we had 2 people moaning about where we put the rubbish bag on bins day! also parking is not always available on the lane outside. cream carpet and furniture looked stunning but isn't very practical with kids - we were on edge against spillages all week. any issues we had were dealt with the next day, but we did have to do some minor repairs to the dishwasher ourselves, not what you want on holiday really. Next time would go for somewhere with a private garden and parking, and more practically furnished. Lara from Kingswinford (22 August 2014)
A delightful, elegant and comfortable very well equipped residence in an excellent location. Jill from London (20 June 2014)
We thought the house was dirty - lots of cobwebs and dust and needed a good start of season clean, felt like no one had been in for a while. Washing machine did not work and although someone was sent over to have a look we were asked when we could stay in for an engineer to visit!! kitchen utensils were lacking - luckily I always take my own. no one to meet us when we arrived and we had some issues with heating and hot water. would have thought a joiners instruction book would help - where and when to put rubbish out simple boiler instructions, where to hang washing out etc rather than having to read the manuals. previous renters clothes left in drawers in the downstairs bedroom too. we have stayed in other properties at tehidy and we were disappointed this one. it wouldn't take much for it to be a fantastic property Katherine from Portsmouth (23 May 2014)
Fantastic location and cottage.. we had a good time here and will strongly recommend it.. only one neighbour doesnt like people clicking pictures around the area (specifically around the tower). even he couldnt dampen the mood. Customer 24 from London (21 April 2014)
Very nice place in great location. the only problem we had was that the downstairs bedroom was not suitable for a young child alone - distant from other, first floor bedrooms and having patio doors to outside, open courtyard. this was not clear in advert. Tony from Northampton (06 September 2013)
Had some problems with a neighbour complaining that house should not be rented (one of our children went on his grass when we weren't looking). other neighbours were very friendly and helpful. Chris from Reading (19 Jul 2013)
Loved the open and large lounge. Loved the decor and all the extras. Iman from Solihull (05 April 2013)
Just the amazing setting, and the pillared lounge! not to mention the sound system, superbly equipped kitchen and 3 toilets-heaven with 4 adults and a potty training toddler! Chrisitne from Suffolk (31 August 2012)
Lovely light house with lots of room and great grounds for playing in. We found it a great base for cornwall in general. The local beach at gwithian is wonderful. The house is spacious and very attractive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Rachel from Manchester (27 July 2012)
Excellent accommodation, ideally placed for visiting South Cornwall. Beautiful location - only a short walk through the woods to the coastal path. Customer 30 (June 2011)

The accomodation was absolutly stunning. It had everything you could ever need. Customer 34 (August 2010)
The apartment is spacious and light. It is very comfortable, four star hotel standard but more luxurious! and The surroundings are AMAZING, beautiful Italian garden, rose garden and 41 acres of stunning woodland. Our children loved the wonderful outside space. It was also incredibly quiet and peaceful. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND. You won’t be disappointed, It has real WOW factor. The location is also very good, local beach Portreath is a family friendly surfing beach. You are also close to Penzance, Lands end Senne cove etc. Customer 35 (August 2010)
This property was set up as a home, with all good quality fixtures and fittings. Lots of items like games including computer games and the kitchen was very well stocked. Unlike some houses i’ve stayed in, which definitely had a holiday house feel. Customer 37 (September 2009)
Spacious and luxurious. Customer 38 (September 2009)

Light, airy feel and good decoration. Customer 42 (August 2009)
Property is beautifully designed and presented - very light and airy with attractive views over the private gravel terrace and communal gardens beyond. Plenty of lovely walks in the surrounding parkland. Excellent, central location - Falmouth, St. Ives and Penzance (St. Michael’s Mount) are all no more than half an hour away by car, and only about 45 minutes to Padstow and Eden Project. Great beaches nearby at Portreath and Porthtowan. Customer 43 (July 2009)
Beautiful setting. Good proximity to popular attractions and places. Customer 44 (July 2009)
Beautiful accommodation in quiet unspoilt surroundings! Customer 45 (August 2008)
