Stunning location - if you like being in the middle of nowhere - we did :) need to travel 15 mins to nearest shops etc. Basic facilities which was ok, a bit dated - really needs to be updated - yes it has character but some stuff is really 1980's. could have been cleaner, very uncomfortable bed. Kp from Devon (03 June 2017)
The cottage need's up dating, mattress need to be replaced, cottage on the hole was designed for practicality rather than comfort. Gordon from Cornwall (22 April 2017)
We had a lovely time beautiful place definitely going back. Zena from West Midlands (20 March 2017)
Cottage states for 2 couples ,only suitable for 1 couple not enough room to swing a cat around, lounge is a corridor top of the stairs and one of the bedrooms should be a lounge instead, and thats the problem with this cottage. right on snowdonia national park, thats its plus point. If its right out in the sticks is what you want thats fine but 4 miles to the pub. Wont be going back to this one, all in all not value for money. Dave from Cheshire (23 February 2017)
Hi . . not one to usually complain but was not at all happy with this cottage. the couple who owned the property were very nice and helpful in coming out to direct us to the cottage as we arrived quite late. we were due to go to the cottage on saturday 20th august but due to work circumstances on my husband's part we decided to go on the wednesday 24th august 2016. we arrived late. the bedding in both rooms was damp. my son's bed in particular was awfully hard, you could feel the metal springs. we had to gather the cushions off the dinning chairs for him to lay on in the bed it was that bad! the master bed was also very uncomfortable. the sauna was dirty and looked like it had not been used in ages. there were also no towels provided which is not stated when you book the accommodation. however the worst thing was on thursday morning we observed raw sewage had spilt over from the septic tank at the end of the garden. you could see faeces, used toilet paper which I thought was totally unacceptable. the owner told us that they were waiting for the company to flush it through. the couple proceeded to squeeze bleach over the lid of the tank and faeces. we were very mindful where we threw the ball for our dog as we were constantly worried about it being thrown in the raw sewage. when we left early saturday morning (as I couldn't wait to get home) the sewage was still there! I felt sorry for the people arriving that day. . . there is no way we would go back. Samantha from Rayleigh, Essex (27 August 2016)
It was a cute cottage but a bit too small. The furniture (beds and sofas) was very hard and uncomfortable. location great though. Ayeisha from Newark (20 August 2016)
We have a great time. cottage was lovely, owners were friendly and helpful. Cheryl from Worcestershire (23 July 2016)
The cottage is in a fantasic location with brilliant views and the owners were very helpful and they made us feel welcome.we did find it easier to leave the car at the end of the drive.the sofa was very hard and uncomfortable and the mattress was a bit lumpy.the shower, hot water, central heating and television worked well.the windows could have done with a clean but we could still see the lovely views.we did have to buy our own hand and shower towels as there was none provided. Ann from Southampton Hampshire (03 October 2015)
Having looked for something with tranquility my boys and I couldn't have been happier!. from the off peter and wendy couldn't have been any more helpful, from local travel advice to letting bertie put up with our crazy dogs!!. having read previous negative reviews I can only presume they never actually stayed at the cottage , as our experience was amazing and a return visit is obligatory!!! Mike from Bridgwater (15 August 2015)
Probably the worst cottage we have ever stayed in, you my need to check this out. Tony (16 May 2015)
Negatives: dry sauna a waste of space, a well equipped bathroom would have been better. wet room was uninviting with a slate floor, which took forever to dry out which meant paddling in water for hours after use. basin was not user friendly, nowhere to put soap and other toiletries whilst washing. I used sink in kitchen. . positives. Everywhere else was good, but no freezer or freezer compartment was an inconvenience. John from Croydon (25 October 2014)
We found the property very depressing and dark. To reverse the car out was quite an achievement. after being out all day there was no where to relax in the evening. The box room had a hard settee and a television that did not work. We were very disappointed. Ramon from Rainham Kent (06 September 2014)
The cottage was set in one of the loveliest scenery in north wales, we normally do camping so it was lovely to to come back from a wet walk to a warm cosy place Maria from Bournemouth (09 November 2013)
The cottage is much smaller than you would think and the lounge is just a hallway between 2 bedrooms with a tv and a 2-seater sofa. The 2nd bed is lofty and a rather tricky to climb. the kitchen is okay but the toilet and shower are in the same room, and there is only one loo. The sauna worked but as with all heating it was controlled by the adjacent owners and off most of the time when they were out it was cold and there was no sauna or heating. the garden was wild but rather lovely and mostly peaceful when their family dog was not barking. The owners are friendly. Graham from Milton Keynes (17 August 2013)
Excellent rural location, tucked out of the way, very quiet, it was lovely listening to the owls. There was a lovely big beach within 10 minute drive, ideal for taking the dog for a run. Its great for touring north wales and very close to snowden and caernarfon. . lovely owners, very friendly and welcoming. Vicki from Barnsley (15 February 2013)
Good location - quiet, convenient, good views Jenny from Manchester (20 October 2012)

Location, seclusion, accepting of dog Michelle from Sutton Coldfield (11 August 2012)
Excellent location for travelling about N. Wales and very friendly, helpful owner. Customer 24 (July 2007)
A nice cozy cottage well situated for casual hikes. The owners are friendly, the cottage endearing, and the views spectacular. Being in Wales, meant things were a bit damp though. Customer 25 (June 2007)
