Comfy cottage in a quiet position but very close to the town. Very good amenities friendly hosts enjoyed our stay very much. Jackie from Chessington (29 July 2017)
I will not provide a review due to problems outside the control of the owners (power failure) Colin from Bourne (22 July 2017)
Lovely cottage, well located for local amenities, easy walk to town, the country park etc, good position for all the north norfolk beaches. David from Braintree, Essex (15 July 2017)
The coach house is an ideal place to stay in order to visit local area. We enjoyed our stay and often walked into holt which took just over 10 mins. The cake and wine on arrival was a nice touch, many thanks. However the shower is in need of urgent attention, water pressure is very low and it takes an age to wash hair etc. This is a shame as the rest of the property is lovely. A few more saucepans of smaller size would also be useful. Overall we had a lovely holiday and had good weather. Doreen from North Staffordshire (01 July 2017)
Very good holiday Jack from Suffolk (17 June 2017)
Coach house is a great location for visiting north norfolk, however property needs some updating, the shower room is very small - have had larger in our touring caravans- and the shower cubicle needs regrouting. The lounge us comfortable but would have preferred a proper dining table as we had to eat most of our meals on our laps and as no large trays were available this proved to be quite difficult. John from Stafford (10 June 2017)
The cottage was comfortable but could do with a little tlc. The location was very good for visiting north norfolk resorts. Michael from Suffolk (27 May 2017)
Not what we thought it would be, in need of modernisation David (29 April 2017)
Lovely stay at coach house. Ideal location only 10 minute walk away from holt. Very clean and comfortable apart from pillows on bed which were very poor. Also, a bread knife would be helpful. Always plenty of hot water but shower needs attention as it leaks on shower head and so is not very strong. Overall though I would definitely book again. Fay from Worksop (28 October 2016)
Little gripes, hand soap at wash basins would be helpful. bed was really uncomfortable i.e. To hard. . being a dog owner no secure place for her to be able to do toilets Carol from Lowestoft (23 September 2016)
An excellent apartment with a good level of equipment and furniture. Malc from Pontefract (16 September 2016)
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the coach house. it is within easy walking distance of holt town centre & the cottage is well equipped. there is ample room for two people & in our case a large dog, plus it is located in the quiet outskirts of the town with its own parking. the hosts are helpful & ensured that any issues were addressed. wifi coverage was poor & internet access was intermittent; however the owners have purchased a replacement router, which should address this frustration. it is well placed to discover the norfolk coast with holkam, wells next the sea, sheringham and cromer all in easy reach. there are numerous walking and cycle routes in the vicinity. we would book this cottage again. Karl from Basingstoke (26 August 2016)
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the coach house - no problems at all. . . the only reason for scoring '9' was due to the coach house being a little way from the centre of holt - however we were aware of this fact when we made the booking. . we would recommend this accommodation. Andrew from Sheffield (12 August 2016)
Had a great stay. Location allowed to be close to many places to visit. Accommodation was very nice. The only disappointment was the mattress was too firm for us. Owners were next door and quickly responded to any requests or queries. Overall a great place to visit. Sue from Northamptonshire (05 August 2016)
Lovely place with home comforts, attention to detail and in a great situation. just a tad disappointed on the cleanliness side of things which I know somebody else had remarked upon in the guest book. there were quite a lot of cobwebs around the place and an odd smell which was irritating us all week which we discovered on the last night was dog food under the sofa - presumably from one of the previous guests and dog hairs all over the rugs which had clearly not been hoovered because the minute we put the hoover across it ourselves they were gone and it looked as good as new! it would be good if there was a dustpan and brush there so that you could pick up any crumbs you might drop yourself. I feel mean saying this as it is a lovely place and I would recommend it and I would go there again but I do think it needed to be said. :-( Ann from Bristol (08 July 2016)
Had a very warm welcome from jonathan and felt very much at home. The coach house is perfect for 2 people, cosy, clean and peaceful, and an ideal base. We left behind some linen and jonathan has kindly return this to us. Will from Kent (03 June 2016)
A comfortable and very clean apartment in a good location for north norfolk attractions. A good 10 minute walk into holt for restaurants and shops ,but plenty of choice when you get there. A little bit under-equipped but importantly the bed was large and comfortable and the flat screen tv was ok . the heating was also excellent. Patricia from Dronfield, Derbyshire (20 May 2016)
We have had a wonderful week at park barns it was beautiful, very tastefully furnished and extremely comfortable, short of nothing even enough utensils to bake should you feel the need. The seating area outside was a lovely sun trap, ideal for early evening drinks. The wine and lemon drizzle cake on arrival was a lovely touch. a short walk into holt which is a charming town. Christine from Wath Upon Dearne (13 May 2016)
Generally the cottage was lovely. Little touches like a couple of extra towels or larger bath towels would have been good. As the cottage is above the garage we were disturbed every morning when they opened the doors and took the car out. It's a great location and the owners were very friendly and helpful (providing a hairdryer when I asked for one). Confirmed Guest (29 April 2016)
The location was excellent really enjoy our week away, the only let down for us were the cobwebs on the windows above the kitchen, their was a hoover on site to keep the place tidy which was left full with a strong smell of wet dog, but I would have thought they would have hoovered under the bed has this was a disgrace, but we cope with it ourselves, it was a lovely touch to leave lemon drizzle cake and a bottle of wine Nicholas from Barnsley (15 April 2016)
Fantastic holiday, the cottage was in the perfect location and within walking distance to local bars and restaurants! Michelle from Nottingham (08 April 2016)
Lovely comfortable and modern. We enjoyed the spacious feel of the place and would certainly go back as the location is great for both the coast and places like blickling hall. There is pleasant walking in the holt country park which is just down the road Shirley from Driffield East Yorkshire (01 April 2016)
Restful long week end. Cold but sunny. good base for exploring the surrounding area. . . bottle of wine and homemade cake was much appreciated on arrival. Confirmed Guest (15 March 2016)
Really nice flat in a good location. Elizabeth from Reading (05 March 2016)
Nice property, would have prefered a small table and chairs for dining rather than breakfast bar but overall very satisfied. Complimentry wine and cakes was a nice touch. Confirmed Guest (25 February 2016)
Comfortable well laid out accommodation in a quiet location convenient for holt town centre, an easy walk if you want an evening drink. nicely situated for norwich and north norfolk coast. spot on. Ian from Chesterfield (12 February 2016)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the coach house. it is a first floor apartment, very well furnished and a lovely location. it became apparent that my wife and I were in fact the first guests to occupy the coach house, there were a few shortages in what is normally found in cottages i.e. Kitchen utensils etc., but these were soon put right by jonathon the owner, who was very apologetic. jonathon was very attentive in ensuring our stay was a good one and asked for feedback. We obliged making it positive and constructive feedback and in no way any criticism meant. we have no hesitation in recommending the coach house as a place to stay, we shall return to the coach house in the future. Peter from Andreas, Isle Of Man (21 November 2015)
