A really lovely cottage. Clean and plenty of room and well equiped. Peaceful location 15 mins from the gorgeous beach.the only downside would be the beds and furniture. Clean but definitely need updating! so much to do around and a good base. Lovely to wake up with just the sounds of the cockerel and sheep! Emily from Watford (28 July 2017)
Lovely cottage with everything at hand. Although just across the way from the owners home, it felt secluded. Local beach is beautiful, fish and chip shop and chinese takeaway near by. Lovely coastal villages within easy reach. Local pubs all dog friendly and dogs allowed on some beaches. Love north norfolk ! Raymond (07 July 2017)
Lovely cottage in a quiet location. Only criticism was the main bed could have been more comfortable. John from Cumbria (16 June 2017)
Lovely cottage in a great location. It's not a bustling area but was perfect for us. Enjoyed walks in the lanes and down to the sea and was in a great location for visiting other areas. Deborah from London (26 May 2017)
Peacefull relaxing beautiful place loved every minute. And great place to stay with my dog. Kay from Northants (30 September 2016)
The coach house is located in the peaceful village of bacton, and is an easy 10-15 minutes walk down a quiet country lane to the fabulous beach. The property is ideally situated, well maintained and very clean and comfortable. It is equipped to a high standard. The only problem we encountered was the internet connection, which is very poor. The owner told us it is a problem with the service provider. We found it was quite pleasant to be away from this 21st century facility for a week, but if you are desperate to go online, the sugar and spice café and the duke pub in the village do have free wi-fi. The coach house also has a lovely secluded garden, complete with garden furniture. We were fortunate to have really good weather and this enabled us to make full use of the garden at breakfast time, and also in the evening when we returned from our travels, it was lovely to sit and relax in the sunshine and enjoy the peace and quiet. . bacton is short of a shop or two, there was a small local supermarket, but apparently it was damaged by fire and is now closed. subsequently it is not possible to pop in anywhere to buy a pint of milk or a newspaper. However, there is a waitrose and a sainsburys within near driving distance, so there is no problem stocking up on the essentials. . the fish and chip shop serve good freshly cooked produce, but be prepared for a long wait, the service is very, very slow - also be aware that the portions are very big and that one large portion of chips will serve two people more than adequately. However, we thought it was expensive. We also tried the local chinese restaurant/takeaway and this also served good food at reasonable prices. . overall we really enjoyed our stay here. There is lots to see and do within a reasonable distance and we would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family. Hazel from West Yorkshire (09 September 2016)
Very nice cottage comfortable no complaints Peter from Notts (24 June 2016)
Lovely and comfortable peaceful. Easy to get anywhere you wanted to go. Would recommend the local chinese restaurant and local pubs to eat good food. Shirley from Birkenshaw (17 June 2016)
Absolutely lovely! go there and enjoy yoursef Customer 9 from Lincoln (06 June 2016)
We had a lovely stay at the coach house and would definitely return. there was lots of storage space for all the clothes I had brought (packing for every weather eventuality) which is usually a bit of an issue in a holiday cottage. the kitchen was well stocked with equipment and the extra counter top freezer was a good idea. we don't have a dog (we do like them!), but the cottage is dog friendly and pleasantly, it did not smell of dog! Allison from Bedfordshire (03 June 2016)
Lovely comfortable beamed cottage\coach house. Excellent spot to get to amenities but also to feel you are far away from the hum drum of life. Great walks nearby and stunning countryside, plus beaches also Michele from Coventry (27 May 2016)
Fantastic holiday, loved the coach house, a bigger tv would have been nice. Rebecca from Leicester (20 May 2016)
A lovely cottage walking distant from the sea. Plenty of places to visit near by. the owner very pleasant and friendly. my only hardship was the bed which I found very hard but otherwise could not fault anything else. Maureen from Market Harborough Leics (13 May 2016)
Great cottage-very cosy & well equipped! lots of things to see & do nearby Lizzy from Shrewsbury (01 April 2016)
This was an absolutely lovely stay. Beautiful property with a very nice lounge and kitchen- the wood burner was great we enjoyed a few evenings in, and the area around is perfect for walking, with a beautiful coastline. Would definitely stay again can't wait! Confirmed Guest (15 February 2016)
Beautiful cottage with very welcoming wood burning stove.. location great for beach walks with my dogs.. Mags from Shrewsbury (12 February 2016)
The cottage was lovely and had a real home from home feel to it. the kitchen was very well equipped (probably the best I have seen in rented properties). the sofa was a bit small for our liking, but everything else was perfect. . the owner was really welcoming and friendly on our arrival which was great and we really appreciated the milk and cookies provided for us to enjoy. Margo from Eye, Suffolk (04 January 2016)
A comfortable and well equiped cottage. Warm and welcoming with a helpful owner. Sally from Llandrindod Wells (02 November 2015)
Very relaxing and beautiful cottage Emma from Bedford (28 August 2015)
Superb, hope to come back soon. Allan from Liverpool (21 August 2015)
A cosy and well equipped imaginatively converted barn in lovely surroundings, an easy 15 mins walk to the beach. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. It is a good base for exploring east norfolk. It is tastefully presented and was well cared for and clean. Lots of useful information about the local area and where to eat. Gill from Herts (14 August 2015)
Lovely cottage, nice location off the beaten track. close to owners house and their other cottage but all fenced off so you still felt private. Confirmed Guest (27 March 2015)
Excellent cottage, location, and price Janet from Harlow (20 March 2015)
Good place to stay; we stayed in feb and the heating was very good. The owners make generous offers of wood which keep a good wood burner busy. Well-planned cottage with everything you need. The only downside is the lack of wifi which is so helpful in getting info about pubs etc. Don't be put off by my score of 6 for location - if it's eastern norfolk's beaches at happisburgh or sea palling you want then this is perfect. With friends in w norfolk, we probably needed to have rented somewhere on that side. Bob from Truro, Cornwall (20 February 2015)
A beautifully renovated coach house with a warm and welcoming atmosphere which included the thoughtful addition of milk, cookies and a vase of flowers. The cottage is ideally placed for visits to the coast and also many walks can be taken from the cottage. Dorothy from Watford (17 October 2014)
The cottage was fantastic and everything we could possibly need. A real home from home plus more! Jill from Crowborough (10 October 2014)
The coach house was very comfortable, clean and well equipped with practically everything thing you could need provided. we had a warm welcome from the owner who arranged for tea, coffee, milk and biscuits for our arrival, which was much appreciated after a long journey. there are a couple of things that could be changed such as the plates were too large to fit in the dish washer, therefore I washed up by hand all the time, but it would have been nice to be able to stack them in the dishwasher to wash themselves. also it would be nice if the towel radiator in the shower room could be operated independently from the central heating as in order to have dry towels we put the heating on, which was not really needed as the coach house was a very warm property. these are only minor things and did not impact on our enjoyment of the holiday. we had a lovely comfortable break and would recommend the property to anyone wanting good quality accommodation. thank you. Ros from Wadhurst, East Sussex (03 October 2014)
We have just returned from the coach house after a wonderfull week, the ch was very well equiped and in a great location for a quiet and relaxing holiday. My partner and I enjoyed many long walks with our dog nancy. We will hopefully return in the future. Jimmy from Carlisle (04 July 2014)
Ideal location if you have a dog Brian from Preston, Lancs (04 April 2014)
This is a very nice place. Whilst it has all the modern amenities it has character too. We enjoyed the local walks and had excellent nights of sleep in a comfy bed. There is ample parking for two cars & a secure garden. A great place to stay tp enjoy norfolks coast & countryside. Keith from Peterborough (24 February 2014)
Lovely cottage in a very rural setting. could not find fault with anything. very tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, and excellent appliances. my husband loved the wood-burning stove. Karen from Mildenhall, Suffolk (25 October 2013)
Beautifully presented cottage, full of good quality equipment, decor, furniture - exceeded expectations on this front. The owner was very friendly and helpful - let us borrow her bicycle spanners and provided a plastic sheet for out toddler in case of accidents! local beaches are fantastic, sandy, very few people. Quiet location. We enjoyed several meals on the outdoor patio in fine weather. Wifi would have been useful as there's no 3g, otherwise we wanted for nothing :) Jonathan from Croydon (26 Jul 2013)
A beautifully refurbished cottage, extremely clean and well equipped. The owner was friendly and very helpful. The peaceful setting made it perfect for long walks and exploration and the bird song was absolutely amazing! a perfect enclosed garden was the icing on the cake! Karen from Nottinghamshire (21 Jun 2013)
Amazingly well equipped. Friendly and helpful owners. Wood burner. No phone coverage - for some that might be a problem but it was fantastic to be able to completely disappear for a week. Rebecca from Maidenhead (22 February 2013)
Well presented . came with all essentials provided. Very helpful owner Murray from London (28 September 2012)
Lovely high standard of accomodation. Well equipt and clean. Great view from upstairs bedroom of bacton church and over fields to the sea. Very warm welcom from owner. Paul (07 September 2012)
Accommodation more spacious than it appears online. Took my frail 93 year old mother and she had downstairs bedroom, which worked well though it could be chilly even in June. Shower was good for her. Excellent location between coast and Broads though weather and age of party could not benefit fully from this. Good walks leaflets at property. Shame about the cutlery, which let the property down! Customer 37 (June 2012)
A lovely Coach House which was immaculate, fully equipped and well thought out. It was great to not have to worry about silly little things like washing up liquid or bin bags as all were provided. Great courtyard garden and very dog friendly cottage with a lovely walk to the beach. We would look to go back in the summer but it was a perfect getaway for the New Year. Thank you Judy for meeting and greeting us and hope to see you again. Customer 38 (December 2011)
The property had lovely surroundings, and we were able to explore with our children on bikes very safely. The beach is lovely and very close. We really enjoyed cycling to Bacton Woods. The owner was very helpful and friendly and provided a lovely welcome pack. Customer 39 (August 2011)
Although weather was not great, there was plenty to see and do - cycling, boating, walking, train rides etc. Also the beach was clean and very close to the accommodation. Customer 40 (August 2011)
Quiet location, away from the crowds, ideal for the dog - walks from the door, beach 10 minutes walk. Very well equipped. Customer 41 (July 2011)
Coach House was in an excellent location 15 mins walk along the footpath took you to Bacton beach where you could walk to Maudsley and Cromer. The cottage was well equipped and very clean thoughout. A warm welcome when we arrived from Judy Reeves was appreciated as was the tea biscuits milk etc. Would certainly book the Coach House in the future. Customer 42 (June 2011)
Lovely cottage set in the quiet grounds of the owner’s property. Excellent access to the coastal attractions of Norfolk and within easy range of Norwich. Cottage, beautifully furnished featuring master bedroom with sea view. Modern shower room with excellent large walk in shower. Freeview satellite TV and DVD and wood burning stove for those chilly evenings. Customer 43 (June 2011)

The property was excellent and within easy reach of lots of attractions. Would love to go back again. Customer 45 (May 2011)
We loved the location of the cottage, plenty of walks and beaches to go to nearby. The only negative was the uncomfortable mattresses on the beds, not good for your back. But apart from that would definitely go again. Customer 46 (May 2011)
Peaceful location, off the beaten track. Customer 47 (April 2011)
