A lovely location but we were disappointed by a few things that could easily have been fixed and would have made our stay more enjoyable. For example:-. -lots of lamps but bulbs missing from two crucial ones. -a "dining" table which wasn't designed as such, so my husband's legs wouldn't fit under. -a washing machine but no tumble drier or outside line. -a limited amount of hot water for showers . -the bare minimum of cutlery. Julie from Rutland (30 June 2017)
A really lovely comfortable cottage in a quiet location yet close to local amenities. very well equipped and good outdoor space. we had a lovely stay at seasong. Susan from Haworth (23 June 2017)
This cottage is stated as being part of the 'luxury' collection. To our mind luxury includes maybe large towels, complimentary toiletries, a hairdryer, a microwave..but a basic requirement would be a dustpan and brush! . having read the reviews before we left, especially the owner's response that the issue with the drains was rectified, we were very disappointed to find that this is not the case. The smell from the drains was off putting to say the least, despite having the windows and door open. We suggest that this is an issue that needs rectifying as a matter of urgency. We acknowledge the fact that seasong is an old building, but this is not really an acceptable reason. Although we had a lovely time exploring the area i'm sorry but we won't be returning. Wendy from Grantham (16 June 2017)
Great cottage in great area, generous welcome pack. John from Edinburgh (09 June 2017)
Beautiful, quiet location just a short walk from the sea and within easy driving distance of local towns and attractions. . . would definitely recommend as the cottage is lovely, but since our stay last year I do feel a little updating is needed now. definitely new pillows are needed as they are now well used and uncomfortably saggy, the dishwasher wasn't working properly and 2 light bulbs blew at the beginning of our holiday but there were no replacements for us to use. also feel that it would benefit from a microwave for guests' convenience. I would have given a higher score for comfort if these little details had been attended to. . all in all a really lovely location, with good accommodation and I would recommend. Kathy from Sheffield (02 June 2017)
Very nice property.clean. Everything there that you needed. Enjoyable and close to all the attractions on the north norfolk coast. Bryan sams Bryan from Brentwood (12 May 2017)
A lovely rustic cottage with lots of room for two and its own small garden. We walked, cycled, visited local villages and dined out/in and had a thoroughly enjoyable time (despite it being winter weather in spring!). Paul from Nazeing (08 May 2017)
This is a really lovely cottage tucked away but so close to the wild sea. great pub with food within walking distance as well as village shop and crab-shack. only a dvd player would improve it and make it a real bolt-hole from the stresses of daily life. Karen from Solihull (24 April 2017)
Bare minimum supplied, actual conversion well done but interior so stark. No colour. Anywhere, particularly bedroom not even a colored throw ! first impression. Very disappointing, cold and dark. . problem with drains, nasty smell would waft in from somewhere. Valued Customer from Bath (21 April 2017)
Short on bin capacity and no washing powder supplied. The welcome package was very thoughtful. Duncan from Aberdeen (14 April 2017)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, peaceful home. . . the logs were not easy to light, maybe not dried out enough, but otherwise, everything we needed was on hand. Estella from Peterborough (30 January 2017)
Problems with the heating on the first night nearly saw us return home. The building was cold and took until the next day to warm through. Hot water was an issue as only enough for a quick shower , not enough for both of us. Cottage was clean and comfortable and a perfect weekend getaway . would have liked a freezer compartment as no where to store ice. Clare from Norwich (09 January 2017)
Lovely long weekend in a pretty cottage. Sally from Oxfordshire (05 December 2016)
We missed not having a microwave, dvd, cd player or radio. The wood burning stove was not very efficient, smoke filling the room at times, and although the cottage looked very appealing and cosy there was not much natural light for reading, except in the bedroom. value for money has not been as good as other properties we have hired from you in the past. Ie the little place in little plumstead. The owner was helpful and pleasant. Susan from Cheste5rfield (21 October 2016)
Seasong is a great little cottage in a fabulous location. only stayed for a short break so didn't really use the kitchen except for morning coffee but it seemed to have everything that would be needed for cooking - although no microwave. the 5 foot bed was very comfortable and the view of the garden from the bedroom window was perfect to wake up to! the lighting was quirky and personally we would have appreciated a bit more light in the evenings but it all added to the atmosphere of the cottage. the overall impression is peace and quiet. we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it if these are qualities you are after. Ruth from Suffolk (23 September 2016)
We used to have a daytrip from cambridge to wells or hunstanton so enjoyed staying to g et to know the area better. Seasong is clean, comfortable and cool in hot weather. We had an exceptionally hot week, so appreciated having a cool refuge to retreat to. The local pub was very friendly and served good food. Our best memory is sitting in their garden with the groups of geese flying over us to roost in the marshes. all this and a full moon too! what could be better? in the cottage there are two steps that do not stand out. It would have helped if they had a warning strip along the edge. I fell on my knees the first day, but no harm was done. Maureen from Grantchester Cambridge (16 September 2016)
Well appointed, compact and quiet, this is a great place to get away from it all. Short walk to salthouse village, with shop selling local produce, another offering excellent crab sandwiches, and good meals at the dun cow pub. Wonderful views of the norfolk coastal marshes and the open skies, and plenty nearby to do and see. Chris from Oldbury, West Midlands (09 September 2016)
This is a wonderful place to stay in a fantastic, quiet location. Coast hopper stops just at the end of the road! local pub, seafood cafe and shop/deli are all very good. Beach is a short walk away. The accommodation is very good. Perfect for 2. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Geraldine from Nottinghamshire (26 August 2016)
Beautiful cottage, lovely location, ideal base for exploring the north norfolk coast. We really enjoyed ourselves. Michael from Hove (19 August 2016)
Lovely cottage in a beautiful, quiet location. a short walk to the beach, pub and shop. What more do you need? however, just one small thing, a small freezer would have been more useful than dishwasher and washing machine. would certainly recommend to those who like a quiet holiday. Sue from Somerset (05 August 2016)
Good location from whih to explore the beautiful norfolk coast, very peaceful place to stay Nick from Lincoln (10 June 2016)
A perfect place, we walked the north norfolk coast path and used the coast hopper to get around, the bus stop is at the bottom of the lane we didn't have to use the car once, which is perfect. There is an excellent shop, deli and pub in the village and its great for bird watching, on cley and salthouse marshes. The cottage is perfect, and the wine and chocolate on arrival really was a lovely touch. We have already recommended it to friends and family who are looking to book it later in the year. We will definitely be back. Sarah from Colchester (06 May 2016)
Highly recommended Sarah from Northampton (04 April 2016)
The only thing I can think of is that the bath towels are too small, lovely quality though. Very cosy, well equipped, secluded cottage. Jo from London (28 March 2016)
We had a super holiday staying at seasong in salthouse. Since we regularly holiday in february we were prepared for the bitter winds of winter and we were glad of our thermal clothing for walking the marshes and coast of north norfolk, the landscape was rugged but beautiful. The beach at wells-next-the-sea with it's pretty beach huts was our particular favourite. Closer to home the welcome and food at the dun cow pub in salthouse couldn't be faulted. If your staying at seasong remember a torch as there is absolutely no street lighting in salthouse and walking at night to the pub without light is fairly dangerous since the footpaths are scarce too. we are surprised at how expensive eating out in the area is, even though we come from the south of england which itself is not inexpensive, having said that we will be back since we want to visit some of the national trust properties which were closed out of season. All in all the area provides the opportunity for a great holiday. Eva from Horsham (26 February 2016)
Wonderful location, lovely cottage. Good, thoughtful welcome pack. Dun cow pub in the village is well worth a visit. Few more logs would have been nice. Eric from Welwyn (19 February 2016)
Seasong is a lovely little cottage in an ideal location for exploring the north norfolk coast. . the cottage was very clean and furnished to a high standard with a very nice welcome pack on arrival. Even though it wasn't that cold the wood burner was lovely in the evenings. I would definitely consider staying here again. Mike from Norwich (25 January 2016)
Fab-u-lous Irene from Bradford, West Yorkshire (22 January 2016)
An amazing cottage and a great location. We had a fantastic stay in this very comfortable and excellently decorated cottage. I would stay here again again! my only comment is that an iron would be useful, but apart from that I can't recommend it enough. Tristram from London (18 January 2016)
Excellent. We had a really relaxing time escaping from the world with a book and the warmth of the log burner. The cottage was just the perfect escape. . great location for doing things or not as your mood takes you. Peter from Lincoln (15 January 2016)
We enjoyed our stay at seasong but felt that there were afew things that would have improved the experience. For winter visitors, it would be good to have a more generous supply of logs for the first day/night. Also, we couldn't find any extra bedding for those really cold nights. The 'open' roof between the bedroom and the toilet/bathroom was a bit disconcerting ! cushions for the dining chairs would make them more comfortable; we had our christmas meal there so we were sitting down for quite a while. Overall, though, we loved the decor and the position of the cottage on the north norfolk coast. Philip from Knowstone, South Molton, Devon (27 December 2015)
Beautiful spot, loved seasong, perfect for two. Great location for getting around and seeing the norfolk coast. Was there for 4 days 3 nights and missed not having a freezer having turned up with some perishables and ice cream!!! no matter. Had a lovely time, thanks. David from London (16 November 2015)
Cottage has been very well converted, and set up for a perfect couples retreat, very quiet and tucked away, although easy access for all you could want. Only real gripe, the bed was on the hard side, for our taste. Nick from Essex (30 October 2015)
An interesting conversion in a nice setting, a short walk from beach and local pub restaurant. Stylish modern interior with some retro furnishings. John from Letchworth Garden City (22 October 2015)
A gorgeous cottage in a lovely village, a great base to enjoy the beautiful norfolk coast. Louise from Wilmslow (02 October 2015)
Very good Confirmed Guest (18 September 2015)
Excellent location. Well equipped, however the fridge could do with an ice box. Janet from Clitheroe (07 August 2015)
Beautiful holiday home in an exceptionally stunning location. Ed from London (25 May 2015)
