Very disappointed with the cleanliness of the place. It was clear the furniture was old and tatty. One of the table chair legs fell off when we sat our 18 month daughter on it fortunately I had hold of the chair at that time so no injury incurred. The floors were discusting and we had to go out to buy a mop to clean them, mop left in cupboard for future guests. Hoover was full and looked like it hadn't been emptied for sometime and I had to strip out the dishwasher filter as that was discusting too. along with this the oven looked like it had never been cleaned and when we used the washing machine our clothes came out covered in dog hair we then spent time cleaning this appliance. Due to this and whether conditions we decided to cut short our holiday and left on the wednesday afternoon. Overall I feel disappointed on paying money to clean this cottage when it is clear investment is needed to employ someone and give them the time to do the job properly. This is such a shame when the cottage as the potential to be a lovely place to stay.
Eric from Stanhope (01 July 2017)

Excellent location nice looking cottage completely spoilt because of a lack of cleanliness and the worst beds we have ever slept in . the overall feel of the cottage was that of a cash cow for the owners. Would not recommend this cottage in its present state
Peter from Gtr Manchester (08 April 2017)

We had an excellent family holiday at seascape cottage, the cottage has lovely views of the beautiful village green and the children loved feeding the ducks.
Stephanie (27 March 2017)

A nice cottage with lots of space. However we arrived to no heating (told the oil had been stolen the day before) but we had to contact the owner to find this out. Hot water didn't work for 2 days - electrician came twice. Emailed owner several days after our stay to express disappointment and have heard nothing to date.
Karen from Poole/Dorset (13 March 2017)

Our scoring does not really represent how much we really enjoy staying in seascape (our 3rd stay in 6 years). the cottage is uncluttered, tastefully decorated & warm a home from home but what let it down was the lack of cleanliness and worn out bedding i.e mattresses & duvets in the double bedrooms. The owners can only address the issues if they know, so here is the list: cooker hood covered in grease, top of fridge thick with dust, dinning table was ingrained with grime, single bed in ground floor bedroom covered in dog hair, (all the aforementioned we cleaned). upstairs we found finger/toe clippings in the double bedroom. Last time we stayed aug 2012 we mentioned the mattresses were collapsed & needed changing, feb 2017 the same old collapsed mattresses & duvets resulting in very little restful sleep. The shower cubicle had not been cleaned. This is a shame as we love the cottage & its location, all that's needed is a thorough deep clean, new double mattresses & duvets then & only then would we give a higher rating. Please please please address these issues as this is unacceptable. The cost of holidaying in this beautiful country is at a premium so the holiday let should reflect this. We want this to be viewed as constructive & thus motivate to action! aside from the main issues the downstairs floors, bathroom/toilet were clean & fresh smelling as we entered creating a calm atmosphere. We all had a fantastic vacation catching up with friends & enjoying the surrounding coast line with its many wildlife attractions, we loved it!
Jason from Macclesfield (25 February 2017)

A very cosy cottage and well cleaned ready for our stay. we had a very good holiday and would recommend. just one thing..the double mattress on the upstairs bed is rather uncomfortable and tired and could do with replacing.
David from York (18 February 2017)

What a lovely location and what potential to be great. were we unlucky? sadly, the door of the hot, main oven fell off when we opened it and the microwave oven stole our christmas pudding! - that door stuck shut. never have I slept on a mattress quite so uncomfortable or one that squeaked every time I moved (lets not mention the colour of the pillows when we stripped the bedding at the end of our stay). such easy things to put right, I hope the owners do as the cottage is a gem.
Lorna from Frinton On Sea (05 December 2016)

We enjoyed our stay at seascape it has a lovely enclosed garden which was good for our dog. The house has everything you need and is central to explore north norfolk both the coast and inland it is also relaxing to just sit and watch the ducks on the village green ! all in all we had a lovely relaxing week and scamp was worn out from all his walks on the beaches and in the woods.
Barbara from Knodishall (05 November 2016)

We loved everything about this cottage, it was perfect for us, only criticism was we couldn't find any oven gloves and two of us got burnt using the oven and teatowels
Myra from Halstead (29 October 2016)

Good base for north norfolk
Andrew from Leeds (08 October 2016)

Lovely place to stay. Very secure garden for our dog so we could leave the door open and not worry about safety. Spacious and light. Would definitely go again. good position to explore most of north norfolk.
Emma from Derbyshire (10 September 2016)

Please just make a few alterations and this cottage would be outstanding. it is a lovely property in a great location with a perfect sized garden for small children and a dog. the main issue is that the bedding, quilts and the mattresses need changing / updating as they are very "tired". apart from that we were totally happy and had a lovely stay.
Paul from Essex (27 August 2016)

We have been staying in seascape cottage for holiday over the past three years. Ground floor is spacious, first floor is alright with two single rooms and one double/triple room. Nice size garden, great for barbecue when weather is nice. Mattresses are a bit old and need replacement. Other than that we have had a good time there.
Annie from Halifax (13 August 2016)

A lovely well equipped cottage, very clean and comfortable.
Charlotte from Linconshire (06 August 2016)

Lovely, comfortable cottage, great fire! really good size communal area and a safe ,attractive and private back garden. Very nice shower. Could have done with a couple more comfy chairs, a working hoover and some of the dining chairs needed some glue. The key safe is at the back and we had to find the back gate ,which was very stiff ,to get in. Good value for money and a pleasant location.
Rachel from Sheffield (09 April 2016)

Little disappointed to have other holiday makers dirty linen in the cottage all week! I did call the number provided no response, became clear that the cottage had not been cleaned from the week before! not happy, did try and complain to the housekeepers called twice, no reply!
Rachel from Nottingham (02 April 2016)

As some previous reviewers have said, a few things need doing ie tap turning, mattresses but nothing that stops anyone having a fabulous holiday. We loved the cottage, very spacious and in a beautiful village location. garden is lovely and enclosed a plus if you have small children. . if the owners ever decide to sell perhaps we could have first refusal
Tracy from Selston/Nottingham (26 March 2016)

This is the fourth time of staying in seascape cottage and overall we enjoyed our holiday but the accommodation is a little tired and in need of a few updates mainly the mattress on the double bed is very old and uncomfortable and also the tap in the shower room which we have mentioned on numerous occasions, twists and turns with use, lastly the curtains in several rooms need replacing. I don't want to sound like I am complaining because the cottage is very good value especially with the two person discount for out of season stays.
Angela from Wombourne, S.Staffs (05 March 2016)

Super cottage, ideal location, kids loved it.
Bryan from Braintree (20 February 2016)

Our fifth year in the cottage and we love going there....but the beds are getting more and more uncomfortable. New mattresses needed please.
Diane from Worthing (30 January 2016)

Good location, spacious cottage, ideal for dogs - tiled/stone floor in all living areas. Private and secure back garden with all you need, b&q, table chairs, patio, grass, open areas or shade. Good sleeping areas, three loos and two bath or shower rooms. Off road parking. Both double beds need new mattresses. High level of equipment in kitchen only let down by poor quality and condition frying pans and baking sheets for oven. Non-stick saucepans/frying pans need replacing. For the benefit of the owners/letting agents/cleaners, a comments sheet for us to complete and a visitors book to add comments would be useful. . having said that, we had a fantastic time, I am sure we will be back and we would certainly recommend this property.
Bob from Daventry (23 January 2016)

Have stayed two or three times before, because the 4 bedrooms and location are so good for the price. Just one or two things need sorting, eg the revolving cold tap in the upstairs sink, and the lighting in the kitchen area (in need of 2 or 3 more tracks of spotlights, or similar. Also, the pots and pans have taken a hammering over the years, (as in many holiday cottages). but it is a very comfortable and warm house, highly recommended for parties of 4, who each need a bedroom. And the ducks and geese on the green outside provide a cabaret at any time of year.
Peter from Stoke-On-Trent (28 November 2015)

The residual smell of the wood burner was very pungent. We did not use it, my wife is an asthmatic and had a number of related incidents (smoke related events/places are a trigger). . consequently, we stayed away from the cottage and came away 3 days early. I accept I did not pick up the 'wood burner' issue when booking and should have looked closer. Perhaps an ability within the options to disregard properties with this facility would be useful?. other than this the property was of a high standard and it is a disappointment that we cannot return.
John from Howden (21 November 2015)

Pleasant quiet surroundings. Convenient for north norfolk coast.
Andrew from Leeds (10 October 2015)

This is the third time we have visited this property in the last 5 years and love its setting and access to the local area. unfortunately, the house is now looking a little tired, and some tlc would not go amiss!
Trevor from Church Eaton, Staffs (03 October 2015)

Having been there over ten years ago, and really liking the layout and situation, it was a little sad to see it looked like it needed a bit of refreshment here and there with a few utensils also needing replacing. Lack of wifi was a problem for my teenagers.
Carolyn from Bexhill (22 August 2015)

We enjoyed a fantastic holiday at seascape. It had everything we wanted and so much more..the cottage is extremely spacious and since our party had three generations the layout suited us perfectly, with 2 bathrooms and 3 loos. The garden is a sun trap and being walled was a secure place for our 2yr old granddaughter and our 2 labs. everything seemed to be 20mins away sandringham, the beach at hunstanton and the historic towns of walsingham and wells. I cannot think of anything on the downside so you might wonder why I marked a 9 for equipment...the matress is so soft and I prefer a harder matress so it hardly seems fair since thats just my preference
Dave from Skidby (27 June 2015)

Great location and very well appointed nice sunny and enclosed garden.
Chris (13 June 2015)

The only issue that I could say was the lights were not bright enough to be able to read a book. That aside the cottage was brilliant.
Susan from Tamworth (23 May 2015)

This cottage is a good size with 4 bedrooms, situated in a quiet village. we have returned here a few times now as it suits our needs when we holiday with my sister in law and husband. The bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor is great for them as my brother in law is blind and has a guide dog, and we have the double room upstairs, where there are 2 more single rooms and one bathroom with a shower, so we don't get under each others feet. I would say that if you stay here with a large family, then there isn't really enough soft seating in the lounge area. The garden is a good size and you can park off road in an allocated space (i think there are 2 spaces for the cottage). the only things I would say is that the cottage could now do with a proper deep clean, the stone tiles in the kitchen dining area could do with a steam or jet wash and there are some areas where there are a few cobwebs, and maybe the kitchen cupboards could do with a good clean. but that said, it is horrendously bad, and we do like it there. it is very good value for money, and situated in a good location for the north norfolk coastline. there is also a local pub across the green which is pretty good and does offer food. we could see any local shops in the village where you could buy things like milk or bread, so you would need to go to a supermarket to get your provisions.
Liz from Bury St Edmunds (09 May 2015)

Seascape cottage is a lovely old building but is sadly in need of some repair. The location of the cottage is ideal and is in a beautiful setting. We had great fun watching the baby ducklings on the green. Also, having a play ground across the road with great for the little ones. The garden is very secure for children and dogs, as long as you can closed the gate. It was a long journey (6 hours) and a cup of tea when we arrived would have been lovely. The only problem was that we had been left a few tea bags, a few sachets of coffee and sugar but no milk. This is the first cottage we have stayed in that there has been no milk and we have stayed in many (approx. 34). we also found it very strange that there was no guest book to write comments in. All in all we had a lovely holiday and the children enjoyed themselves.
Katrina from Liverpool (18 April 2015)

Excellent holiday cottage, fully equipped with everything you need. Lovely location just off the village green, with a great play area and field for the children to play. Nicely situated for a host of days out and walking. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our easter week at seascape.
Andrew from Huddersfield / Norwich (11 April 2015)

The cottage is fine but would benefit from just a few improvements which would not cost a lot but would give the benefit of a better standard. Obviously the owners have not lived there! new table mats, there is a mismatch of wine glasses we bought a set of champagne glasses and left them there for others to use. There is no mirror in the small bedroom and in the large bedroom the plug for the hairdryer will not reach the mirror for blow drying. The rug in the lounge area is threadbare!!. other than this we had a good holiday
Jean from Burnley (28 March 2015)

Comfortable , clean , good location .
Confirmed Guest from Skipton (21 March 2015)

We stayed in feb 2015, wow what an idyllic setting overlooking the green, the ducks look very interested if you sit in the window expecting bread. Standard of cottage is very good, has everything you would need, only gripe is the mattress was like a brick in the bed we slept in. Shame theres no village shop but other than everything was perfect.
Steve from Leicester (20 February 2015)

Lovely cottage everything you could think of was provided, would definitely stay there again.
Karen from Ipswich (09 February 2015)

Excellent. Would stay here again.
Nigel from Burton Upon Trent (29 November 2014)

Seascape cottage is very well appointed with all the equipment working and in good order. it is well decorated and all the rooms are a decent size, the kitchen is easy to work in and it's in a blissfully quiet village. we enjoyed our stay there very much.
Confirmed Purchaser (27 September 2014)

Lovely cottage, clean, comfortable, cosy, lovely enclosed garden. Shower very good and spacious. Maybe a bit more lighting in kitchen/dining area. Wifi may be a good idea. Great location for exploring north norfolk by bike, walking or driving. So many pretty villages and places of interest. Holkham hall and blickling hall worth visiting, farmshop at little walsingham great for local produce. hope the local pub the ostrich improves and remains open. Wells-next-the-sea a favourite with holkham bay and beach huts very picturesque. Take a boat trip from morston to blakeney point to see the seals. Wiveton cafe serves great food including locally sourced crab sandwich. the lifeboat inn at thornham a real find. Bircham windmill (open between easter-end of sept) - a fully working windmill with all levels dfrom ground to cap open to explore.
Debbie from Henley, Oxon (20 September 2014)

Lovely comfortable cottage in an excellent location. The only criticism would be the beds aren't very comfy and more lighting is needed in the living area. This was our second stay and we wil definitely be booking it again.
Claire from Suffolk (13 September 2014)

Excellent in provision and location. Ideal for families. Only six miles to most requirements and a great choice of beaches within fifteen.
Alan from Daventry (23 August 2014)

Lovely cottage for the money - would benefit from a pub in the village, it was a little isolated, you had to drive everywhere. beds were ok, not the best. The cottage itself had everything you needed except a torch/candles when the electricity went off and a wine bottle opener! however, like I said, it was a good location for travelling around so I would stay there again; all the downsides were reflected in the price. The area is a black spot for mobile phone connection, wifi would have been good.
Pat from London (28 June 2014)

Lovely location and very comfortable. It was like home from home
Mark from Ashtead (21 June 2014)

Beds were clean but apart from that standards of cleanliness were very poor
Anthony from Beccles (07 June 2014)

Nice clean cottage with lots of room and nice garden space. Only downside was poor tv and mobile and internet reception. Also no facilities in village now that pub has closed.
Mike from Milton Keynes (24 May 2014)

We really enjoyed our stay at this excellent cottage. It has everything needed to make a holiday here a great choice. It is in a good position to make going around the area easy and sitting out in the garden after a busy day was great for us and our dog! we found the cottage exceptionally comfortable and well equipped, with good beds to fall into after busy days!!
Jennifer from Brixham (17 May 2014)

What a fabulous cottage, warm and very comfortable. in an ideal position for visiting the north norfolk coast and all the charm it has to offer. I would definitely stay there again without hesitation.
Pat from Waltham Cross (17 March 2014)

We had a lovely stay at seascape, we didn't feel there was anything that wasn't provided, although wifi would be an advantage.
Melanie from Nottingham (08 February 2014)

This property is located in a lovely relaxing location and the house is clean and spacious with all the needed mod cons.
Rosemma from Leeds (25 January 2014)

We enjoyed a lovely winter getaway at seascape, we are used to staying on the coast but this was a very peaceful retreat and didn't take too long to get to the sea. The accomadation was very good and had everything we could wish for.
Angela from Wolverhampton (18 January 2014)

Seascape is a lovely cottage we would definitely stay there again but it could do with a few upgrades! the sofa's are a bit shabby and the door is a bit rotten. I also phoned to ask about cleanliness after reading some bad reviews and was told it was just a blip with the cleaners. Most of the cottage was spotless but the floor in the main kitchen living area was dirty!
Samantha from St.Albans (23 November 2013)

Couldnt have chosen a nicer cottage in perfect village
Customer 52 from Cleethorpes (16 November 2013)

Sadly shabby; in need of a serious refurbishment. Downstairs beds and upstairs singles have very poor mattresses - not comfortable. Sofas and chair in living area have dirty upholstery. These days you get a higher standard overall for the price. Redeemed, in part, for us by the enclosed back garden and the green opposite.
Frances from Norwich (09 November 2013)

Lovely cottage, well presented so can't fault that. Friendly local pub. Loved the ducks popping over. However, location a bit disappointing as cottage is situated on a busy local road used by a lot of through traffic. Locals park outside to collect their children off the school bus so not private.less than friendly welcome from the caretaker because we hadn't parked the right way in the designated space. Prior instructions would help.
Karen from Nottingham (12 October 2013)

We have stayed here before and once again it was a very enjoyable holiday. Just like home from home, there are no local shops, though you can buy fresh vegetables just down the road, we took basics for breakfast sunday, then went to fakenham to stock up for the week. No problems that. You can get to many of the beaches in north norfolk, just a car ride away.
Phyllis from Hornchurch, Essex. (05 October 2013)

The cottage was advertised as an 8 birth but was really a 6 birth. the pet hairs in the living area was unacceptable. we had 3 babies with us and due to the dirty floor and dirty rug filled with animal hair we were unable to put the babies down. the cottage had no sound proofing from room to room so our party of 9 got no rest.
Julie from London (28 September 2013)

The doors were quite creaky.
Helen from London (17 August 2013)

The cottage was dirty. The garden had dog poo all over the place and we had to clean this up as we had young children with us. The fridge and oven were dirty and had to be cleaned before use. The living room furniture was grubby and again needed a good clean. There were "fur balls" of dog hairs and dust on the floor. The floors needed a good scrub, this was disappointing as I note these points have been mentioned before, clearly the owners of the cottage are happy to take the money but not act on the feedback. On the plus side there were good parking facilities. It was spacious and well laid out. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. The garden was nice and safe for young children and it was lovely to have seating outside.
Jacqueline from Hexham Northumberland (03 August 2013)

Nice location and view across the creake, bedrooms clean. Nice enclosed garden.
Janet from Clacton Essex (08 Jun 2013)

Larger property, comfy beds, good location, lovely secure outdoor area, the ducks coming across the village green to the cottage window was a nice touch for the children!
Liz from Sheffield (25 May 2013)

For us easy access and close to the coast, lovely cottage with all the amenity's you need, beds comfortable and generally clean. This is the second visit for us and we have booked for a third time as my brother-in-law is very partially sighted and its layout is ideal for him and the guide dog, we also have enjoyed a very good meal at the local pub. We look forward to our next stay.
Tim from Bury St Edmunds (04 May 2013)

The cottage was very clean and the location lovely overlooking village green and stream. Nice and spacious and very warm. Very enjoyable holiday would certainly go again.great log fire. Everything perfect apart from few points listed below.
Jackie from Hertfordshire (13 April 2013)

Good layout downstairs, overall it suited our needs. The points bad points below did not spoil out time at the cottage and we would stay again, but only if there 6-7 in our party and not 8.
Jackie from High Easter, Chelmsford (04 March 2013)

Home from home kitchen equipment. Welcome pack excellent touch. Very homely. Good enclosed garden
Kathryn from South Creake (08 December 2012)

Spacious and very clean
Henry from Matlock (26 November 2012)

Had everything that was needed, lovely cottage, lovely touch with the shower gels
Laura from Swaffham (19 November 2012)

Large kitchen and lounge with very comfy seating. Enclosed rear garden, easy parking. Tv is freesat and has built-in dvd player and ipod dock.beds very comfortable.

Excellent location and ideal layout within the property. Well equipped and ideal for our dog with the walled garden.
Geoff from Milton Keynes (08 September 2012)

Great location. Everything nice and clean.
John from Sudbury Suffolk (01 September 2012)

Great for 6 persons. garden and playing field in front ideal for dog. ducks on green for child appeal. good location for coast as well as inland to holt, fakenhma and dereham.
Anand from London (04 August 2012)

The cottage was superb
Kevin from Darwen Lancs (14 July 2012)

Lovely warm and welcoming property will definitely stay again.
Customer 72 (September 2011)

This cottage is in a sleepy little village. The front of the property looks out onto the village green and ducks come to your door in search of a few breadcrumbs. The kitchen is well equipped. The television is tiny so bring your binoculars if you plan to do any viewing. The floor boards have more give than the beds!! Rock hard doesn’t even begin to cover it! The rear garden is a treat becuase it’s completely enclosed and not overlooked at all.
Customer 73 (September 2011)

Immaculate. Impression on arrival excellent. Everything as good as could be expected. (The boiler for hot water and heating was noisy and would need engineering attention. This was mentioned to the cleaner who arrived as we departed so that maintenance could be alerted.)
Customer 74 (June 2011)

Cottage, facilities and location absolutely faultless. Food and beverage at the Ostrich Inn (across the village green) are good. However the food at the Jolly Farmer just up the road in North Creake is at another level... fine dining at pub prices. Accommodation pet friendly fantastic enclosed garden.
Customer 75 (May 2011)

Very clean and spacious house, in a lovely spot overlooking the village green and only a short drive to the sea. We had a wonderful time!!
Customer 76 (February 2011)

It was lovely with plenty of space for 5 grown ups to have there own space. The views over the village green were great.
Customer 80 (September 2010)

We were delighted with the property, which was in an excellent condition, with everything we required. Particularly good was the enclosed back garden in which the dogs could be left safely.
Customer 81 (September 2010)

Seascape was decidedly better than expected. More spacious, excellently equipped and with very good quality furnishings. The outdoor facilities and the immediate surroundings added to our enjoyment.
Customer 82 (September 2010)

Customer 85 (December 2009)

Nice outlook onto green with ducks, plenty of space in cottage, nice homely feel.
Customer 86 (December 2009)

Nicely positioned in the centre of a quiet village, with a pleasant outlook over the village green and only 3 minutes walk from the pub ! It is very easy from South Creketo to reach all the attractions in north Norfolk.
Customer 87 (October 2009)

This property was very clean and had plenty of room for all the family. There was 5 of us but could easily accommodate the extra 3 advertised in the brochure. It was like home from home with all the facilities supplied. Shame no shop in village, but the pub welcomed us all even the dog.
Customer 88 (September 2009)

Spacious accommodation. Three toilets and two bathrooms. Quiet location.
Customer 89 (August 2009)

Spacious and clean, much bigger than we expected. Lovely setting, very tranquil village.

The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. The location is excellent. It is very good value for money and we would definitely recommend it.
Customer 91 (March 2009)

The owner is very helpful. The cottage is well equipped and is particularly well sited for families with village green and park opposite. We will definitely book again!!
Customer 92 (May 2007)

This is the second holiday booked via your website, both experiences have been above expectation.
Customer 93 (September 2006)

A great and comfortable house, would definitely return.
