We love beccles the town is just a stroll away with some great places to eat. we will be returning for another stay soon. Customer 1 from Felixstowe (03 June 2017)
Very comfortable cottage in a beautiful riverside location. Within walking distance of town yet peaceful and relaxing. One of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. Never tired of looking out the window. This was out second visit and we were sad to leave and hope to return. Linda from Southend-On-Sea (13 May 2017)

Beautiful cottage on the riverside at beccles, suffolk. the cottage was extremely clean and tidy and everything you could possibly need was there. lovely spot to sit in the sun and take in the lovely views and fish. boats too and from on the river, but very quiet. beccles has a few decent supermarkets in the town, but also lovely querky shops, bars and restaurants to suit all pockets. beccles also have a village show and parade through the streets in august - but thats really nice too. Jen from Sheffield (27 August 2016)
Great location and well equipped house. It is quite expensive and would expect tv signal to be stable also wifi is almost non existent Pete from Hull (06 August 2016)
This beautiful house is a home from home very well equipped with everything you need,it is situated in a lovely location with lovely views but also handy for the shops and restaurants and is in a good location for visiting other places, this was our second visit and we enjoyed it as much as the first. Janet from Mansfield Notts (30 July 2016)
A super house in a super location. there were only two of us but with six the house would still feel spacious. the kitchen was very well equipped and there were a decent supply of conidements etc probably left by past visitors, together with a fresh pint of milk in the fridge. There was plenty of garden furniture including six sun lounges and a barbecue. the two largest bedrooms each had a hairdryer and were very well proportioned. wi-fi connection was excellent. the town had a good range of shops, pubs, restaurants and take aways. Helen from Sheffield (09 July 2016)
We (3 men) rented this property for a fishing holiday. The location and accommodation was everything we could have hoped for. Easy walking distance to the town for breakfast, the shops and dinner and drinks in the evening. The property had everything we needed and the fishing was very good. Compo from Kettering (30 June 2016)
Had a wonderful time and have already booked for next year Linda from Rothwell (25 June 2016)
This is the third time we have stayed at riverside, and have already booked again for next year. The house is warm and comfortable and alway spotlessly clean, with large airy rooms. It's position by the river is a perfect place to watch the world go by especially if, like us, getting about is a bit difficult. Beccles is a delightful town with good places to eat and much to see around and about. Jenny from Felixstowe (28 May 2016)
Good value although the kitchen pots and pans need upgrading Confirmed Guest (02 May 2016)
Spacious house in a fabulous riverside location within easy walking distance of the centre of beccles. It is an ideal location for touring suffolk and norfolk but you could just stay in the house and enjoy the view if you wanted. Sarah from Basingstoke (09 April 2016)
Ash was not cleaned out so we could not light a fire. Grill was dirty had to scrub it before use. Litter left in bin in the living room. Patricia from Ingatestone (29 February 2016)
The cottage was brilliant. Warm, comfortable and very well equipped. The welcoming touches were much appreciated. The only thing we could not find was a maid! Brian from Stebbing (03 January 2016)
Wonderful place to stay and relax everthing you need. Linda from Rothwell (19 September 2015)
Everything ok except the tap water which was very hard. we used bottled water all week and despite using three lots of descaler on the kettle we still couldn't use it. would stay again. Confirmed Guest (12 September 2015)
Fantastic location with quay and shops nearby. Lovely spacious house with everything you could possibly want and swans for visitors. Geri from Essex (05 September 2015)
A lovely well equipped house right on the waterside, perfect if like us you came for messing about on the river in boats. It has everything you could possibly need on holiday and was very spacious. lots of parking space at the house and only a short walk into beccles which has a wide variety of shops and eating/drinking places. The pub at geldeston locks has music in their gardens on sunday afternoons and thursday evenings which we enjoyed and came across by accident. All in all a very enjoyable holiday and the weather was excellent for our stay. Even if the weather isn't too great you can still bbq on the patio thanks to a retractable awning (i want one of these at home now)! Joanne from Bury, Lancashire (15 August 2015)
We stayed at riverside house in july and can honestly say we had a great time. The house has everything that you need , it is well maintained and very spacious, every room has a riverside view, great for relaxing and watching the boats go by. The fishing that week was great for my husband who caught some large pike!!. would definitely recommend riverside house and would not hesitate to rent this place again. Lorraine from Cheshire (01 August 2015)
This is one of the best houses we have rented. It is just like home from home, and the location is perfect. We were able to leave the car and walk to town which is a charming and friendly place. We love it so much we have already booked again for next year. Jenny from Felixstowe (23 May 2015)
Liked it so much have booked again to return in september Linda from Rothwell Northants (21 March 2015)
Comfortable house with beautiful river views, amazing sunsets across the marshes. very comfortable bed, kitchen area small but not a problem as plenty of places to eat out. Would definitely stay there again. Karen from Norwich (28 February 2015)
A lovely place for a holiday, the house was decorated for xmas, it was lovely and clean and well equipped . being right on the river made it feel like we were on a lovely boat, beccles is a lovely town with lots of great bars, resteraunts and entertainment, we'll definitely book riverside house again. Bernie from Lutterworth (28 December 2014)
Fabulous holiday home. great location for shopping and fishing. Ann from Exeter (04 October 2014)
We thought the house was excellent and loved the views of the river from almost everywhere. it was very comfortable. just two small points: we thought we had to take towels and when we arrived they were neatly folded on the beds. the recycling bin was full and when we told the men they said they wouldn't take it because it had bottles in it. Sally from Kettering (05 September 2014)
Location second to none. really enjoyed the local facilities particularly the waveney hotel for meals and twyfords cafe with its secret garden. the bathroom facilites are a little outdated; could do with a 2nd shower when there are 5 of you. harvey (the dog) really enjoyed himself and the great walks. a fab holiday. Ena from Cw2 8Ps (16 August 2014)
Fantastic location, lovely views from all very nice bedrooms. Lots of places to visit within and around beccles. Highly recommended!! Peter from Haddde (09 August 2014)
We really liked riverside house. its location was wonderful right by the river and it was lovely waking up each day to that view. we also liked the the fact that the house was well situated within the village and easy reach of the shops, restaurants and pubs. a big thing was that the beds were comfy and we all had a great time. The only downside for us was that when the five of us tried to get ready together we could have done with another shower room. Customer 34 from Kent (19 July 2014)
Fantastic location on the river, near to quay and shops. House beautifully presented, clean and spacious, wonderful views from all windows. Will certainly return. Geri from Essex (04 July 2014)
This place worked perfectly for us. John from Cleethorpes (27 June 2014)
Riverside house is in an idyllic location. we just sat on the terrace watching boats pass by and occasionally taking out the rowing boat. the house is more home than holiday home and was so comfy we considered squatting. it was also absolutely spotless. Obviously wouldn't recommend for families with you children though, because of proximity to river. Sally from Lincoln (07 June 2014)
The house was lovely in nearly all aspects - outstanding. . my only criticism as I like cooking & usually do it for the whole family was that there was very little food storage space & very little usable work surface for meal preparation. Ken from Royston (10 May 2014)
Fantastic house in a great location. Well furnished. Clean. Fully equipped. Close to town centre & well located to explore local area and towns. Great views. Would recommend to others. Thank you David from Market Rasen (08 March 2014)
