We regularly holiday in norfolk as we have family who live here, and so far this is the best equipped cottage we have stayed in. loved the bathroom mirror!! there are lots of little personal touches that you don't normally find provided (and the range of books/dvds, and especially the toys and games is brilliant). the garden is lovely and obviously very well cared for. You are literally a stones throw from the local shop, which is unique! ringstead downs and peddars way are nearby and there are plenty of walks to holme next sea or hunstanton, etc., plus you are not far from plenty of other places to visit. The weather, except for one minor blip, was lovely and sunny. the gin trap is only 2 mins walk away and is a lovely pub that welcomes dogs (very important!). the 'caretaker' sarah is obviously someone to whom nothing is too much trouble (even though our contact was only by phone after our visit re: 'stuff' left behind!!) & 'judith's' marmalade was lovely! can highly recommend. Liz from Herts (14 July 2017)
Excellent cottage, well equipped with everything needed for a fantastic holiday, lovely garden for dogs. David from Lowestoft (30 June 2017)
We knew we were going to have a good holiday the moment we opened the door. The cottage was so welcoming and the little touches of milk and wine made it so special. Donna from Solihull (02 June 2017)
Fab holiday cottage. They have thought of everything and it's furnished and equipped to a very high standard. More luxurious than home! super selection of toys and playhouse in the garden made it a complete hit with our children. Catherine from Coventry (21 April 2017)
We enjoyed our stay in the well equipped and clean cottage. Trevor from Coventry (17 March 2017)
An excellent cottage. Very clean with good beds, bedding etc. Well equipped for a family stay. Lovely extras given on arrival. Marie from Cambridgeshire (16 September 2016)
Only stayed a weekend. Lovely homely cottage. very clean. had everything we needed with lovely secluded garden. very welcoming with milk, bottle of wine and flowers. shop opposite which had a lovely little treasures part. lovely pub called gin trap 2 mins walk down the road. near local attractions. the only down side was that the sofa did smell strongly of dogs. think it would be good to have a throw on it. would stay again. Virginia from Cambridgeshire (11 September 2016)
We had a lovely say at the cottage. The weather was lovely so we spent most of our time at the lovely local beaches. the cottage was perfect for 2 children and a small dog. the children loved the selection of toys and had a lot of fun in the lovely garden. Ringstead cottage was a home from home and I look forward to my next stay there. Confirmed Guest (02 September 2016)
Everything that we wanted from a holiday cottage. Private garden. Well equipped. Village shop just across the road selling local produce, daily newspapers etc. No parking problems. . nice welcoming touches ie fresh flowers, milk, welcome tray and wine. Ideally located to explore north norfolk . Confirmed Guest (15 July 2016)
The cottage was lovely. Very clean and lots of toys and a wonderful playhouse for toddlers. On the downside, a cot is provided but the only space to put it up is on the landing. With no door between the sitting room and stairs, our toddler could not sleep unless we had the lights off and kept quiet downstairs and then woke up again when we came to bed. We soon moved the furniture about to get him into a bedroom, but that involved some heavy lifting. Fine for a very young baby or a child in a bed (provided upstairs windows are locked as they're at bed level). the house is a bit cluttered and i'd imagine it would suit couples better. Also, the upstairs stair gate is broken. Kate from Sudbury, Suffolk (26 June 2016)
It was our third visit to ringstead and we found the house to be all that we need and without doubt and all being well we will return next year to the same house which feels like home for our holiday.we always return home refreshed. Our only criticism was that the hot water coming from the taps was rather too hot i.e. Scalding. Duncan from Bedale (10 June 2016)
Lovely cottage with all the equipment you could want. Just be cautious as there are very few facilities in the village. The one shop closes at 1pm 3 days a week. Louise from Stourport On Severn (20 May 2016)
Very lovely cottage, very clean, comfy, modern and welcoming. in pretty village very close to local town and shops and in driving distance of local attractions. has beautiful private garden. can not say a bad thing about the cottage - everything has been thought of to make you're stay as comfortable as possible and no expense has been spared to install lots of useful gadgets & equipment. 10/10 Rachel from Nottingham (13 May 2016)
We had a fantastic short break at the cottage, which was spotlessly clean on arrival.there was a welcome pack to get us started with a cuppa and even a beautiful bunch of fresh flowers . everything we needed was there , the weather was kind and we enjoyed a relaxing few days including a great walk along heacham beach with the dog and ice- cream at wells. Fiona from Leicestershire (04 April 2016)
A comfortable, well appointed cottage with a good garden in a lovely location. Janice from Northampton (01 April 2016)
Very cosy cottage, everything you need for a relaxing break. Joan from Oxfordshire (04 March 2016)
Lovely cottage in lovely village. Will definitely book again Donna from Chesterfield (21 February 2016)
Lovely cottage in a very nice village, lots of nice touches like the the wine and milk and even a copy of the radio times. very clean and well equipped. the garden is huge we hope to return when the weather is warmer and make use of that lovely garden. Nicola from Ravenshead (08 November 2015)
Great place to stay, well equipped for families. We will stay there again for sure. We loved the location, the pub and shop were very good. Not near the beaches if you want to walk but a very easy drive, the price is more reasonable for it though. Worth noting the wi-fi is now free. Simon from Lincoln (30 October 2015)
This was a lovely cottage in just the right location for us. It was dog friendly as advertised and was also child friendly although with a 15 year old this wasn't a huge priority for us. The village itself is quiet. If you're arriving at night as we did have a torch in the car as the lack of street lighting can be an issue when you're trying to locate house numbers. Rachel from Leicestershire (19 October 2015)
I have stayed 3times at this cottage. I feel it is ready for an update. The sofas are soggy and uncomfortable. Due to age I think. The knives are completely blunt. Carpets were rather grubby. Saucepans had metal handles and lids so you had to always use a cloth to lift them. Not practical!!! . it's a lovely cottage but just needs a good update. Jane from Walesby (02 October 2015)
Our only regret about this holiday is that we did not book for 2 weeks. a first class cottage in a lovely village. The very useful shop is directly across the road and the gin trap pub (again very good with excellent food) is about 100 yards away. The totally enclosed garden is lovely, peaceful and good for sitting out. Derek from York (11 September 2015)
This must be one of the best cottages to stay anywhere. It is has a homely atmosphere and provides just about anything you might need. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is great and kitchen is excellently equipped. Decor throughout is attractive. The garden is pleasant and well maintained, has various seats and tables and there are buckets and spades to borrow for the beach. In the roomy garage is a snooker table! despite being informed otherwise, there is a hairdryer. Nice touches are milk for your arrival, a bottle of good wine and a pretty bouquet in the lounge. An endless supply of tissues and toilet paper is to be found! please may I suggest, top sheets for optional use as duvets are thick for summer and some spare hand towels. A superb and interesting village shop with helpful staff is opposite (sells daily papers). we would stay here again. Catherine from Grantham (28 August 2015)
Having stayed at this cottage previously we were a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the property as we found lots of dog hairs, there was also a strong dog odour. the cooker was very difficult to use and their were limited instructions. the sofa was also a little saggy. . this is a great cottage in a wonderful location and it would be a shame if standards slipped. Confirmed Guest (21 August 2015)
A very well appointed cottage in a lovely location. the garden is an added attraction Jan from Northampton (10 April 2015)
A lovely cottage within easy distance of the coast. . it has every home comfort you would need and even though we only stayed two nights we were left milk & wine and arrived to fresh flowers in the lounge. There was ample tea & coffee, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc and more than enough loo rolls!. the village shop just across the road is fantastic, the bread is local as were the sausages. We even stocked up on english wine and local ciders. The only downside is that the village pub, the gin trap, is now closed, so going out in the evening has to involve somebody driving. But a small price to pay for a great stay. Hope to return soon to walk a few more of the amazing footpaths. Debbie from Cambridge (08 March 2015)
Our third visit to ringstead cottages-so proves it's an excellent place and exactly what we need for this time of year. Well equipped with a welcome tray including wine, milk and other goodies.- this should be done at all your cottages-we did three others last year none supplied a bottle of milk-one didn't supply toilet rolls ! oven was the only problem-needed a degree to cook anything !! Geoffrey from St. Austell (05 February 2015)
Superb can't wait to return . Andrea from Leighton Buzzard (24 November 2014)
Lovely cosy cottage and very well equipped. Joan from Didcot (08 November 2014)
We had an excellent week here. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. There are toys and a great playhouse for children in a lovely secure garden. There's a very handy shop across the road for anything you might need. Some great dog friendly pubs nearby and beautiful beaches. We couldn't rate it highly enough. Nikki from Romford, Essex (01 November 2014)
Enjoyed using this cottage, it was full of thoughtful touches. Little things like boxes of tissues in every room, enough toilet paper for the weekend, games and dvd's for the whole family, care was taken with this cottage. Yvonne from Reading (20 October 2014)
We had an amazing weekend, the cottage was wonderful, so homely and well equipped. the kids loved it and the amount of toys was so great. Everything was so clean and we couldn't have asked for more. We will be back next year for a week or two. Michelle from Derby (12 October 2014)
Lovely, cosy, well-appointed cottage in excellent location for bird watching on the north norfolk coast. Very clean. unfortunately, the weather was very wet and cold during our stay. Carole from High Wycombe (10 October 2014)
Wonderful little cottage in a friendly clean and tidy village. home from home ewupped with everything you need. Lovely garden with a playhouse for the children. Perfect location as a base to visit places of intetest in the area and great for the beach. Christine from Suffolk (12 September 2014)
Third bedroom suitable only for a small child. Brian from Chesterfield (02 September 2014)
This was our first experience renting a cottage and was very pleased with what we got. There was everything provided we needed, a proper home from home. Although not used by our party, there is plenty of toys and games for a young family. The wifi (£10 for the duration of our stay) was a godsend, the mobile phone network coverage in the norfolk region is very poor (not a criticism of the property). we would definitely use this property again. David from Oxford (29 August 2014)
Very well equipped. ideal for families as nice secure garden and lots for children to do. we were told it did not have a freezer but there is a working fridge freezer in the kitchen. lovely part of the country, plenty of nice beaches to visit and places to visit. Margaret from Sheffield (11 July 2014)
We loved the cottage which is in a lovely peaceful location close to many beautiful unspoiled coastal areas. it had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay - excellent beds, very good shower once we had sorted the curtain ! very good satellite tv & quality radios- washing machine , hob, oven etc all high quality - freezer space plenty for us. A really lovely sunny garden to enjoy and excellent parking in garage area behind or on the front. Very friendly village, great village shop across road that sells everything, excellent walks on the peddars way with our cocker poodle jasper, plus very good eating out at the very dog friendly gin trap pub 2 mins away ! all in all a real home from home and have booked again for next year ! Elizabeth from Bedale (20 June 2014)
We had a lovely short break, ideal for norfolk coast and walking with dogs Lewis from Norwich (06 June 2014)
As always excellent standard. Jane from Walesby (01 June 2014)
I stay at no 7 every year with my daughter and children. no 5 was perfect because I came with my dog who just loved the beach at old hunstanton. the enclosed garden is very pretty. Diana from Maldon,Essex (04 April 2014)
Beautiful cottage in a good location. Great for the dog. This was our second visit and we would love to go back again only problem is it is a little pricey for a weekend visit. Natalie (10 March 2014)
We had a wonderful short break at this property. It was beautifully presented and equipped by very thoughtful owners. the village of ringstead is very pretty and the well stocked local shop and welcoming pub were just a few steps away. We completed an 8 mile circular walk from the cottage taking in holme next the sea and hunstanton which was presented us with the best of the surrounding countryside and coast. We will definitely book here again. Jill from Nottingham (02 March 2014)
Excellent little cottage, home from home Andy from Northants (23 February 2014)
Nice little cottage, great dog proof garden. Only 2 adults and a dog so a good size for us, if a family of 4 or 5 with older kids maybe a little small. Nice location with a great little shop opposite and pub down the road. Natalie from Newbury (17 February 2014)
Nice and cosy small cottage. My family loved its absolutely. The white wine and milk on arrival is very kind and considrate. Very quiet location but with the sky, lots of dvd, and plenty of toys keep my kids occupied for days. Steven from Malaysia (05 February 2014)
We have stayed at this house at least six times. It's great for bird watching. Jan from Leicester (30 January 2014)
A lovely cottage to stay in. It had everything we could have asked for and the extras were great to such as the toys for our son to play with. We had a very nice stay. Katy from Hampshire (26 January 2014)
We had a lovely holiday. This cottage is perfect for children and dogs and their families. Sue from Oakham (18 October 2013)
We holidayed in ringstead cottage in september 2013 with our 3 year old and 10 month old. it was a complete home from home. a lovely cosy little cottage with lots of toys for the children to play with, including a lovely little wooden wendy house in the garden. it is well maintained and very welcoming. there were stair gates and a travel cot and even a toddler pack with plastic plates, bowls, cups and cutlery. it's also close to many areas of coastline (although you need a car) and there is a village shop across the road that sells everything you can think of. there is a lovely pub along the road that serves nice food. Nicola from Beckenham (27 September 2013)
This cottage was a delight both inside and out. it had a generous amount of toys for my grandson to be kept entertained all week. Such a good cottage holiday experience for all of us. Monica from Sheffield (30 August 2013)
We have stayed in several cottages and always want to return to ringstead cottage. Its was our third visit. It is a very comfortable cottage and the owners/caretaker seem to have thought of everything. Also even though we booked for 4 nights, there was a bottle of milk in the fridge, tea, coffee and sugar, and a bottle of wine to welcome us when we arrived. Tricia from Sheffield (26 Jul 2013)
Probably the best equipped cottage we have stayed in. V.comfortable, bed and settees. Wonderful shop just over the road and a pub with good food about 100yards away.cottage garden perfect for our little dog. 2 miles from an excellent beach. A bottle of wine and a litre of milk had been left for us. The sky t.v was a bonus and would have been a godsend if the weather had been bad Beth from Hemel Hempstead (03 May 2013)
A beautiful cottage equipped with everything you could need for a fantastic holiday. Situated in a quiet village with beautiful walks down to 3 different beaches and ringstead downs on the doorstep. Garden was fully enclosed so the dog was safe. Certainly the best cottage we have ever stayed in and we hope to return. Natalie from Wellingborough (26 April 2013)
Lovely cottage house for the children in the garden. . house perfect and in the centre of ringstead Bidisha from London (12 April 2013)
Lovely cottage in a lovely location. Lots of extras like shower gel & shampoos also a welcoming bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. Very cosy and plenty of room for the 4 of us. Lovely enclosed garden for the dog to run around. We found some lovely walks around and the local pub is really welcoming too. Jill from Northampton (05 April 2013)
Very very well equiped, clean and child-friendly cottage in a nice and rural location. Felt homely. Kids loved the wendy house in the garden. Vanessa from Cambridge (10 February 2013)
Well equipped and welcoming. Close to local shop and pub Sue from Cheshunt (03 January 2013)
A lovely cottage in a rural location - it would feel very cut off if not for the local shop right opposite! a real home from home and everything you could possiblly imagine has been catered for. we will definitely visit again. Claire from Hertfordshire (05 October 2012)
The venue was perfect for our needs. The cottage was very well equipped, was very clean, warm and cosy. Customer 60 (October 2012)
The cottage was very well equipped and ideal for families with young children. Our twin grandchildren loved the playhouse in the garden. We have stayed in different holiday cottages for quite a few years recently with our dog and we felt that the holiday cottage at Ringstead surpassed the other properties. Customer 61 (August 2012)
Cosy. Well equipped. Very good for children Confirmed Purchaser (16 July 2012)
This was a last minute break for us and we appreciated the cottage being available. In truth we found it somewhat small to what we usually book but, for a weekend in Norfolk, it was more than adequate. There is a lovely Village shop literally across the road which turned out to be a veritable Aladdin’s Cave - were it located in Holt or Burnham it would have been jammed to the rafters I’d suspect. Customer 63 (July 2012)
Very comfortable and well equipped, much better than any other cottage we have stayed in. Lovely power shower and good toys and great playhouse in the garden for toddlers. Good location near coast and other places to visit. We would happily return to this cottage. Sarah from London (29 June 2012)
Cosy and very comfortable. Lots of little extra's like welcoming bottle of wine, little bottles of shampoo, shower cream. Everything you could think of toilet rolls, paper towel,tea-bags. Village store opposite that sells virtually everything. Maxine from Syston, Leicester (15 June 2012)
Cottage was way much better than we had expected.Very clean and comfortable. We were blown away by the little exrta’s like bottle of wine and milk in fridge on arrival, shower gel and shampoo in bathroom, toilet paper and paper towels provided. Very comfortable furniture. Good shop opp cottage that sells most things, eg papers, groceries, gifts etc. Pub about 5 minutes walk away. Hunstanton and Tesco and Sainsburys about 10 minutes away in car. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone. Customer 66 (June 2012)
Great service lovely location, attention to detail was an amazing place to stay. . Confirmed Purchaser (27 May 2012)
Location great, this not a 4 star property, it is 5 stat. Very, very, very, very wet weather. Customer 68 (April 2012)
Great for bird watching fans, somewhere different to go everyday for a week. A new nature reserve at Sculthorpe was a new find for us, it was brilliant, the Kingfisher posing on the branch in the sunlight finished our day on a high. The reserve is 22 minutes from the house. Customer 69 (March 2012)
Wonderful cottage, every detail was superb and every need catered for. Village was very quiet but then it was January and great beaches of Hunstanton were within short drive. Have already booked for Xmas. Customer 70 (January 2012)
We left a review in the visitors book that said "the best cottage we’ve stayed at" that says it all. Customer 71 (December 2011)
Beautiful cottage. Great location for exploring the north Norfolk coast. Cottage is really, really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Children loved the little play house in the garden. So much to do and see in this area. I’m sure we’ll be back. Customer 72 (June 2011)
Excellent property for young children with secure garden and plenty to play with including the play house. Caretaker welcoming and very helpful. Customer 73 (April 2011)
Compact, clean and comfortable, with many extras not usually expected in a holiday cottage. Customer 74 (October 2010)
Excellent cottage, thought of everything for the kitchen etc. Would definitely book again, its in a rural location but close to the main resorts of NW Norfolk. Customer 75 (September 2010)
The cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Milk and bread was supplied and there was even a bottle of wine. Customer 76 (August 2010)
Ringstead Cottage is a good size and very pretty. It’s in a lovely quiet village, near to lots of places to visit. Customer 77 (August 2010)
The cottage was cosy and well equipped. Customer 78 (August 2010)
We had a lovely stay and felt at home as soon as we walked in the door. The little extras such as loo rolls tea and coffee to name but a few were great. Would like to stay again and would recommend it to our friends. Customer 79 (June 2010)
Very high standard very well equipped excellent location. Customer 80 (May 2010)
We were met by a friendly and helpful representative who showed us round a very well appointed cottage. Some basics had been left for us, tea, coffee, milk etc... and with the village store directly opposite we were able to relax straight away. The attention to detail in the cottage was excellent, a real home from home. Customer 81 (May 2010)
The biggest plus on this cottage is its location, you can just walk out the door to the Peddars Way or take the path through the village and back round by the fields. Also the cottage’s garden was better than expected. Customer 82 (April 2010)
