Excellent although personally I would have preferred less firm pillows! Tony from Chichester (07 July 2017)
A well appointed cottage with modern facilities. Comfortable beds and friendly hosts. Well situated for exploring the north west wales area Susan from Yateley (16 June 2017)
It's a fabulous holiday house in a perfect location. This was our third visit & we'll be coming again! thank you tom & sarah x Alison from New Mills (17 February 2017)
We had a great wintery week at rhydlanfair. the cottage is great for those with children. our eldest enjoyed seeing all the farm animals and the whole family enjoyed the farm trail. the cottage also has lots of toys and games which is helpful. lovely and warm in winter and really handy for getting around snowdonia, being just off the a5. Eleanor from Essex (06 January 2017)
We had a wonderful 4 nights at rhydlanfair. The cottage had everything we needed. It's in a peaceful location with beautiful views. Our children enjoyed greeting and feeding the donkeys every morning. We hope to be back. Nicole from Oxford (04 November 2016)
Great location lots of things to do with in half an hour. Kids loved the farm and donkeys Neil from Stockport (28 October 2016)
The owners were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. this is a beautiful cottage in a very beautiful location. the cottage was like home from home - everything we needed was there. we would highly recommend this cottage to everyone, we felt totally refreshed after our stay and the beautiful walks and stunning views were both breathtaking! Andrea from Bridgend (09 October 2016)
We enjoyed our week but the cottage looked very tired and in need of freshening up. Some of the information in the cottage was out of date as well. Angela from Maldon (16 September 2016)
It was a lovely cottage to stay for a few days, no any big complaint, we are quite happy with what we got. The only two things could improve is the mattress in the main room, not very comfortable and the dvd player makes a lot of noise. But will definitely stay there again. Amy from Loughborough (09 September 2016)
Charming old cottage but with modern facilities. lovely location in the countryside . tom, the farmer and his wife were always friendly and helpful. the cellar playroom and the access to the leisure centre in betws-y-coed made entertaining the grandchildren simple in some typically welsh weather. the grandchildren loved being on a farm and playing with the old, retired sheep dogs. everybody loved the farm trail with some outstanding views over snowdonia. within an hour's drive there are many castles, beaches, railways and adventure activities so the cottage is an excellent base for everyone. David from Macclesfield (26 August 2016)
Wonderful for children. Lots of animals to feed and plenty of space to run around. Lovely views and very quiet and peaceful. Very good location for visiting the many attractions of snowdonia and the coast. The farm trail has lovely views of the mountains. Tom and sarah were very friendly but unobtrusive. We had a very enjoyable week. Christine from Letchworth (12 August 2016)
Lovely quiet traditional cottage in a beautiful valley. Great walks from the cottage door. Tom the sheep farmer and his wife were very helpful and friendly, especially when we had some medical problems - one couldn't wish for a better host. Many thanks. Steven from Kassel, Germany (29 July 2016)
Great location and setting, very clean and spacious, friendly & helpful owner. Steve from Bicester (04 July 2016)
We were delighted with our holiday let and the friendliness of the family. We were blessed with fabulous weather so snowdonia was looking at its best. couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. Sar from Liskeard (03 June 2016)
The cottage was perfect for our family short break. The surroundings are stunning and the view over the open farmland is beautiful. We had great fun in the games room with the pool table and the additional treat of having access to a local spa and swimming pool. The cottage was very clean and comfortable providing everything we required. April is a great time to go with children, it is wonderful to see all the spring lambs leaping about. We would certainly go back. Paula from Merseyside (17 April 2016)
This is a fantastic family property in a wonderful location. The use of the leisure facilities is an added bonus. The family make you feel very welcome. I would most definitely recommend, we had a fabulous week!! thank you! Alison from New Mills (20 February 2016)

Stunning location, very comfortable property - farm location perfect for children & good for dogs. Fab time had by all. Very friendly owners. Alison from Derbyshire (13 February 2015)
Well located property in a nice setting, but it needed a good clean and the three piece was past its best. . otherwise a nice place and given a refresh somewhere very nice Jeff from Battle (12 July 2014)
A lovely cottage in a fantastic location with extremely friendly and helpful owners. The farm trail was great and the children loved the games room. The cottage is situated in a lovely area with limitless opportunities for things to do in the locality. Paul from Eastbourne (19 April 2014)
A beautiful cottage in a stunning location, would love to go back and experience it during the summer months. Holly from Liverpool (21 October 2013)
A dated property that needs upgrading, price is determined by its location near betsw y coed, although a car is needed to reach the town. Hot water is a major issue, the bath cannot be filled as there is not enough hot water, and the power shower is tempremental, ( not what you need after climbing mt snowdon). Marc from Loughton (31 August 2013)
We had a really lovely family stay here. The keyholder was really friendly and there if we needed anything. The kids (1 and 3) loved waking up to see the sheep outside and the farm trails were lovely. The pool table and games room went down a treat and the kitchen was more than stocked with everything we could have ever needed! Natalie from Stockport (27 Jul 2013)
Beautiful setting, simple old welsh cottage. Great base for seeing wales. The place is on a working farm so lots of animals to see: kids loved the donkeys that came to the fence. Free pass to local pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam rooms was welcome after a walk up snowden on a damp windy day. I would love to own and do the place up! Glenn from Doncaster (06 May 2013)
Location Michael from Bishops Sutton (13 April 2013)
Fantastic location, lovely clean cottage with very nice and helpful owners.. welcome tray was very welcome after a 5 hour journey with two under 5's!. huge bedrooms, and very comfy beds in the twin room - children slept like logs ( may be due to all that clean fresh air!). lovely to wake up on a farm and go down to see the donkeys, which our children loved feeding carrots too! spend a very peaceful new year there. Helen from Bath (05 January 2013)
Lovely quiet location. Very helpful landlord. Elspeth from Cheltenham (27 October 2012)
Fantastic accomodation in a beautiful setting, lots of places to explore and plenty of scenic walks, the leisure centre was perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring. A perfect holiday. Customer 31 (August 2012)
Lovely setting with great views. Quiet and peaceful, brilliant for dogs as the cottage is in its own grounds and nowhere near roads. Excellent base for touring the Snowdonia area. Great for bird watching all around the Farm. Customer 32 (May 2012)
We love this property. It’s in the heart of the farm so be prepared for animal noises and to be woken by the cockerel at daybreak! It’s quite isolated which is one reason we like it. Kids will love feeding the donkeys and there’s a games room in the cellar to keep the little ones amused while parents relax. Large property, clean and tidy. If you aske Tesco’s to deliver your groceries, make sure you give them sat nav coordinates or they’ll never find it! Customer 33 (April 2012)
This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. You really feel ’away from it all’. I would definitely stay again! Customer 34 (April 2011)
Location is fantastic, rooms clean and spacious. Cottage is very well equipped. Games room for the kids is great. Customer 35 (October 2010)
The accommodation was spacious, with the exception of the kitchen/breakfast room which was cosy but perectly acceptable. The rooms were adequately equipped and the whole place very clean on arrival. The accommodation was well situated, in a rural location, yet within easy reach of Betws-y-Coed and other North Wales attractions. The owners were extremely welcoming. Customer 36 (August 2010)
Good location. Very quiet and peaceful, except for early wake up call by the cock. Picturesque. Able to walk anywhere on the owners’ farmland. Lovely stone cottage. The in-property information could have been better organised and out of date items of places to go weeded out. Customer 37 (June 2010)
Very clean and welcoming pack was lovely. Customer 38 (April 2010)
A perfect getaway for the ultimate in relaxation. Customer 39 (April 2010)
Very homely, well equipped, good location. Customer 40 (November 2009)
We had a very warm welcome from the owners, we had every thing we required, would go again. Customer 41 (October 2009)
Great location. Lovely and quiet with such a beautiful outlook. Extremely well equipped property. Lounge so relaxing. Customer 42 (September 2009)
This was our second time to the farm and we loved going back. The kids were very excited to see the donkeys again - and feed them several times a day, every single day! Great location - lots to see and do in the immediate area. Lovely host family - very friendly and accommodating. Will be staying there again. Customer 44 (May 2009)
The location is very good and the property is very calm. Customer 45 (May 2009)
A delightful and quiet location but very convenient for visits to different places of interest in all directions. Customer 46 (July 2008)
Peace & tranquility in beautiful surroundings, lovely cottage and the woodburner made it very cosy. Close to interesting places. Customer 47 (May 2008)
Outstanding country accommodation with excellent outdoor facilities within easy reach. Even though the weather was fair to poor there was sufficient activities in the immediate grounds to keep us fully active. i.e. swimming pool, local tree covered walks, museums etc. Customer 48 (April 2008)
The use of the swimming pool and other leisure faclilties at a neighbouring hotel included in the price of the holiday really make this holiday value for money. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Customer 49 (October 2007)
This is a wonderful place to stay, the owner and family make you feel so welcome, it’s like a home from home. Our two dogs love to play with the farm dogs and we were allocated a field in which they could run free. Wonderful! Customer 50 (October 2007)
Working farm so kids can see farm animals (sheep, cows, chickens). Also, two friendly donkeys to feed carrots to every night! Fantastic location - loads to see within half hour drive of property. Customer 51 (May 2007)
