We stayed here for 2 weeks for our family holiday from asia. The location was great - deep in the kent countryside but only 5mins drive to sevenoaks with all its amenities. We loved walking in the lanes and spending time in the peaceful garden. . . the cottage has quite a quirky layout as the bedrooms are at separate ends of the house with kitchen and sitting between - perfect for 2 small families but a little trickier for us with 2 small children. It was great having the downstairs play room. We found the top single bedroom unusable for us due to the very steep stairs up but it would be fine for a teenager. The utility room was also a big plus. . . the property was generally in a good state of repair and nicely decorated. We found most of the beds and pillows very soft, especially the upstairs bedroom which we were unable to use, but this is personal preference. Kelly from Singapore (21 July 2017)
Myself and 10 members of my family ranging from 3 to 70 years had an amazing stay at the priory barn in june 2017 to celebrate my fathers 70th birthday. The building itself was very spacious and beautiful (i have a soft-spot for beams and exposed brickwork), the children loved the games room and huge garden and exploring the barn. We were also very lucky with the weather and made full use of the patio and gas bbq. . melanie, the owner, visited us to say hello and take custody of the security cheque and was very nice. We didn't have any problems during our stay, but I felt that nothing would be too much trouble for melanie if you had need to report something to her. . the barn is exceptionally well equipped and all found the beds to be comfortable (everyone has their own preferences) but if I had to find a niggle it would be that the wifi is a bit patchy, but we were not there to sit around on our gizmos, so this was a small inconvenience rather than any kind of issue. The pillows, for my taste, were a bit too squishy, so next time I go, I will take my own!. . there isn't too much in terms of facilities within walking distance but as we had transport, this wasn't a problem as we found all we needed within 10 mins drive. We spent a lovely day at hever castle, but didn't venture too much further as we had a wonderful barn and weather to enjoy!. . all in all, we had a really lovely, memorable weekend stay in the barn and if we ever have the need to repeat the trip, I would definitely stay at the barn again. Rob from Colchester (19 June 2017)
Lovely barn with everything you need in it. Beautiful countryside and lots of places to visit nearby Joan from Redditch (15 May 2017)
Lovely house, beautiful gardens and great walk across the fields. House ideal for two families as plenty of space and full of character. Not walking distance to any amenities but very peaceful. Would definitely recommend a stay at this property. Julie from Warlingham (03 April 2017)
Needs more signing on the main road. .we all drove past the little road ..the name plaque was way down the road on the barn.but needs a sign on the main road. Gransden (20 March 2017)
An excellent location for a family weekend party, with comfortable accommodation for 8 adults and three children, a very well-equipped kitchen and very good play facilities for children and adults alike. we'll happily use the priory barn again. Barrie from Dulwich (28 November 2016)
This is a super property with huge amounts of space. There is everything you need to enjoy a fun family break and the older kids just loved the games room. The proximity to major towns makes food shopping and excursions easy and there are so many places of interest to see locally. Nichola from Orpington (21 October 2016)
We had a lovely 3 day stay at priory barn and made full use of the games room and walks from the door step. Fantastic amenities and great accommodation for our 4 small families and dogs! we are already planning to return next autumn. Ali from Sutton (10 October 2016)
Just wonderful - even better than the pix! upstairs twin bed a bit soft - but we had enough space for me to move down to the double. but really - this is a superb place and so well designed Robin from Bristol (16 September 2016)
A large group of us stayed for a family wedding and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The area is beautiful and so peaceful with an abundance of wildlife. We spotted rabbits, dragonflies, bats and countless butterflies and that was just from sitting in the garden. . our hosts have thought of everything and there were many little touches that were much appreciated. There are plenty of lovely kentish villages and stately homes worth exploring nearby, plus some great pubs. Jo from Bexhill (02 September 2016)
Fantastic house and well presented and has all a family would need Damien from Ireland (05 August 2016)
What a marvellous place to stay. Our grandson ( 4 yo ) said to his dad 'i want to stay here always' . plenty of room for our special wedding weekend including high level pegs to hang all our wedding clobber. Roomy car park, enough for our 4 cars and a big rear garden for the youngsters. Not forgetting that all important 'one stop' shop open early till late 7 days for all those essentials food & drink requirements , nout but a couple of miles away. For those interested in the night sky, the garden , free of light pollution offers a great view on a cloud free night sky. They have thought of everything including high chair and stair gate. Thanks melanie for a great place to stay. Customer 12 from Dorset (11 July 2016)

Ideal for a family gathering. Plenty of space and very well appointed. Lovely and spacious garden Laurence from Bournemouth (10 May 2016)
A fine holiday in a very comfortable house in a beautiful area. Ro from Leusden, Netherlands (06 May 2016)
This property was even better than we expected. Beautifully presented, cosy and warm and slept 9 adults very comfortably. There were extra children's beds downstairs which we didn't require. The delightful kitchen was well stocked with crockery, cutlery and glassware - absolutely everything we required. There is an enormous dining table if you are entertaining as we were with family. The property is close to town, has plenty of parking space but surrounded by beautiful english countryside. It has an enormous flat lawn and barbecue area which in the warmer months would be a huge asset. The property's managers were friendly, efficient and helpful. I would highly recommend this property. We loved our 5 days here - it felt like home. Jane from Brisbane, Australia (26 April 2016)
A truly lovely place to stay. . perfect location for visiting local places of interest. . the games room was everyman's dream room come true!. . will go back again. Chris from Brighton (21 March 2016)
A great house for a gathering of friends. Games room was fantastic for the teens to hang out, whilst the grownups enjoyed the lounge and log burner upstairs. Comfortable, clean and nice extras left. Dee from West Sussex (15 February 2016)

Blissful weekend, gorgeous property, lovely owner Sarah from Bromley (28 September 2015)
This was a lovely house and location for accommodating three generations of our family. the spaciousness of the accommodation meant that we could keep the younger members entertained and yet still have areas of the house in which it was possible to sit in peace and quiet. this is a lovely part of the country in close proximity to popular tourist and national trust attractions. the large garden is an added bonus. Sue from Preston (07 August 2015)
