We had a great holiday but the property needs a good overhaul. Quite a few issues in the property. The conservatory needs knocking down the roof leaked so was unable to use the downstairs toilet. Alot of the glass was cracked the double doors did not lock so property insecure. We used the tumble dryer but the reservoir had not been emptied the hoover was full. The bathroom door handle very stiff got locked in a few times. Slug trails on carpets in a morning. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and there was plenty of room for 9 of us. Would not recommend though until the issues have been sorted. We did contact the owner re these so hopefully will get sorted as could be a beautiful place. Alfie from Hull (11 August 2017)
Our party consisted of 6 adults 2 young babies and 2 dogs we found the house perfect for our needs it was clean, comfortable and homely with an enclosed garden. We would certainly book again. Keith from Newport (19 June 2017)
If we had known that this property was on the market to be sold we would not havebooked it.there was a few problems (1).there was no lock or bolt on the gate leading into the back garden so anybody could walk in. (2)the back door to the conservertry was the only means of lockingthe house up and I had to screw the handle back on,it would not take much efort to force this door open. (3) the patio doors could only be opened by one door (this was secured by two bolts at the bottom) as one bolt had no handle to it.( 4). the tiles outside were ether brocken or lose or missing.(5)when we went to make a cup of tea we had to wash the cups etc first as they was not clean. (6)no blinds on bedroom windows so as soon as it got light your room was like you had put the light on .(7) the vacum cleaner had no filter in it and it had not been emptyed in weeks if not months.(8) the bolt on the bathroom door was hanging off and could not be repaired. On the whole we thought that this house could do with a good clean and we did our best.(9) the carpets in the concervertry and kitchen were filthy. Considering all this we still enjoyed ourself going out ad about. Fossett from London (19 May 2017)
A lovely house, very clean, spacious and plenty of room for extended families. large, secure garden is perfect for the grandchildren and dogs to play in safely. a real home from home, very comfortable, with everything that you need and very convenient for the shops and boat trips on the broads. we had a lovely week there, the only problem was that the week went too fast! Hilary from Lincoln (14 April 2017)
Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Jennifer from London (04 January 2017)
The house was perfect for our family holiday with plenty of room for the 6 adults and 4 grandchildren. lots to see and do locally but due to some poorly little ones we didn't do all we planned - will need to return. Catherine from Witney (28 October 2016)
Lovely dog friendly garden and spacious accommodation . Confirmed Guest (22 April 2016)
A brilliant place for exploring the city, countryside and coast. Really good facilities in the house that provided space and comfort for several generations on a family holiday. Not palatial but very comfortable and the owners had a lovely, friendly, flexible, relaxed attitude which was a joy. Really impressed at the owners determination that my mum was going to be comfortable and she had all the support re her mobility that could be made available. Kathryn from Bedford (15 April 2016)
Apart from the worst easter monday on record everything else went to plan. The location was very centralised for keeping the grandchildren occupied. The furthest we travel was about 7 miles to dinosaur land. Brian from Dagenham (01 April 2016)
This 'cottage' enabled nine very important people and one equally important dog to be together for several days in comfortable, warm and ambient surroundings. We had everything we needed in appliances and tools and a very comprehensive supermarket within five minutes walk. Pretty damned good, thank you. Mlck from Stevenage (19 February 2016)
Three adult couples on a great winter break. Perfect location and plenty of room. The owner was great and answered any little questions posed. Property has a garden t o keep you active, and a wall into town taking no more. Than 15 mins. All round a great time was had by one and all. Gerald from Romford (27 November 2015)
Needs some updating and rental income would surely rise. A nice property but let down by old and jaded fixtures, fittings and features. Disappointing experience with washing machine. Stephen from Rochester (06 November 2015)
A great place to stay, my girls loved the freedom of the large garden. Lots of room for us all and plenty of equipment. We are discussing when we will be coming back for our next holiday Kerri from Southend, Essex (30 October 2015)
We had a lovely time the house is very comfortable and only 15 mins walk from wroxham centre. We like the bedroom and children room downstairs with bathroom and worked really well for us as in our party gave the grand parent there spare and own bathroom too. Owner has thought of everything and like the little touches like shower gels for toilet rolls in all bathrooms, kitchen is well stocked with plates, cutlery and lots of cooking trays and dishes and even got children cutlery and bowls . garden is lovely and big and safe for the dogs and children. Can't wait to stay again. Claire from Basildon/ Essex (25 September 2015)

Excellent location and a really lovely property. spacious and kitted out with everything you needed. clean and given a personal touch by the owners so that you would enjoy your holiday to the fullest. the house is in walking distance to the broads. our dogs loved the house too and had free run in a fully enclosed garden. I would absolutely recommend this as a great place to stay if you want to explore norfolk and the broads. Sophie from Devon (27 September 2013)
Very noisy, busy road and beds not great. However we had a super week and appreciated all the raspberries! Jenny from Diss (30 August 2013)
Porters was exactly as described. It is not the most "modern" of places but has everything needed for a holiday stay for large groups. Comfortable and plenty of room, all equipment and day to day appliances were all there etc. The rear garden is great for the kids and very secure. The owner even provided a good choice of kids toys (indoor and outdoor) which was a really nice touch. Road outside is busy and there is a railway at the bottom of garden, but neither of these intruded on our break at all, overall it is in a very quiet location. The owner was very pleasant, the welcome wine and biscuits was appreaciated. We would definately use "porters" again if we holiday in the area. Ideally located for the broads and 1/2hr away from loads of lovely beaches and seaside towns. We thoroughly recommend the booking of "porters". Brendan from Kettering Northants (23 August 2013)
Good size accommodation ,well equipped and lovely totally enclosed garden, good for the dogs. Pleasant willing owner. Handy for walk into town and a lovely walk for dogs by the broads nearby. Plenty of off road parking. Vivien from Goring By Sea (31 May 2013)
