Great cottage with large private garden in peaceful surroundings. thoroughly relaxed by the end of the week. would definitely stay again. Beverley from Huddersfield (09 June 2017)
Cottage great for family holiday we all enjoyed it dogs to. The owners were very helpful without being in your face. Plenty of walks locally. hope to see cooper again when he is bigger. . pete & kerry. Dogs Peter from Fife Scotland (02 June 2017)
A lovely cottage in a good location for touring the cotswolds and surrounding area. we visited with our two small dogs and the garden was totally enclosed and even though they tried to find an escape route they didn't manage it! we were made to feel very welcome by louise and marc and we enjoyed the complimentary bottle of prosecco. the lower floor of the cottage is tiled throughout making it ideal for anyone with dogs and the baby gate on the stairs made it easier to comply with the no dogs rule upstairs. the entire cottage was nicely decorated and clean and tidy. the garden is quite large which gave the dogs a good space to run around in, a previous reviewer has said there was also a paddock for exercising the dogs, but this is no longer the case. I think this property would benefit from a small fence around the pond to deter dogs from going into the water, although shallow it did look silted. if any dog did go into the water they would need a good hosing down with the hosepipe provided. a range of shops, take-aways, pubs and restaurants are available in cricklade which is around a 5 minute drive from the cottage. We had a lovely stay at the cottage and would recommend it as a base for touring the area. Andy from Wirral (28 April 2017)
The cottage is well equipped and spacious - lovely accommodation, lovely people. Jennifer from Cheshire (14 April 2017)
With two very active miniature labradoodles it was the fully enclosed rear garden area that attracted us to this cottage . it was perfect for our use. the stairs to the bedrooms are off the kitchen and and a child gate provided by the owners restricted wet paws from the upper level. we took an additional child gate and this positioned in the kitchen doorway provided us with a fully contained easy clean area. The grass at the rear is dense so paws were wet, not muddy, however there is a shallow 20' diameter pond in the rear garden that fortunately didn't interest our dogs. . the house is behind security gates. It's rooms are large, very clean and the kitchen is we'll kitted out with utensils and equipment all in good condition and working order. we only used the double bed room where the king size bed was perfect for a comfortable good nights sleep. There is ample hanging and shelf space in this bedroom. . . I have marked the equipment down because there is no means of drying wet clothes. There is a washing machine but no tumbler dryer, no outside cloth line nor indoor clothes horse. The second bedroom had ample room with hanging space on the landing but no apparent shelf space. . louise and marc are both friendly, pleasant host who made us very welcome with good sound helpful advice but they never intruded on our privacy. . the weather during our stay was mixed and rather cold but we went out every day. In all of the normal tourist areas we had no trouble finding dog friendly cafes, "tisanes" in broadway is excellent. Locally we ate locally at the red lion, cricklade and the white hart, ashton keynes. both are very dog friendly and well recommended. . would we stay at the pond house again .. "yes" .. hoping for warmer dryer weather. It's clean, well located for visiting all the regular cotswold towns & villages with the advantage of being dog friendly with a truly enclosed secure garden. The surrounding area offers a numerous variety of walks to suit everyone. . thank you louise, marc for allowing into your home. . arthur & joyce. Arthur from Brixham (24 March 2017)
Exactly suited our requirements for our short break. Friendly and helpful owner. Will definitely stay again. John from Warlingham, Surrey (10 March 2017)
Although the cottage was nice it wasn't suitable for us as had to keep a close eye on dogs with the pond in the garden. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Susan from Gosport (11 November 2016)
Lovely warm cosy cottage. Enjoyed our stay. Paul from Crawley, West Sussex. (04 November 2016)
The four of us plus our labrodoodle had a lovely time at pond house cottage. The cottage had everything we needed and the lounge was a great space. Our dog loved the pond, especially with ducks in it. Anne from London (24 October 2016)
Pond house cottage is in a lovely location. It is spacious and has a well-equipped kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. Our children loved the ducks. The owners left us to ourselves, which was lovely, but were also very accommodating if we needed anything-- they even printed some tickets for us, which was really kind. Customer 10 from Leicestershire (21 October 2016)

Spacious property with all you need, clean and the owners very helpfull. Ducks to feed and horses to see. The only downside was the road could get busy at times. Will stay again Teresa from Sherborne (30 September 2016)
Property was difficulty to find. Kettle needed descaling. . location of property was great for visiting the cotswolds. . comfortable beds. Confirmed Guest from Swansea (23 September 2016)
Cottage was lovely the family were really nice and helpful. . dogs loved the field. Really enjoyable stay. Turner from Essex (02 September 2016)
An excellent cottage although internal door handles were very loose and the tv needed retuning as some channels were unobtainable. . the best feature for us was the really secure garden with a paddock for he dogs an added bonus! we loved the ducks too!. the bedroom was so spacious and the huge bed very comfortable. Lynn from Clavering, Saffron Walden (15 July 2016)
Clean and comfortable cottage in a good location for visiting the cotswolds and surrounding areas. Our terrier loved the freedom of the fully enclosed garden and field and louise the owner was friendly and helpful. the bed was very comfortable and although the nearby road is sometimes a little noisy we slept really well. Would recommend the cottage especially for dog owners and would book again if we were visiting the area in the future. Nigel from Milton Keynes (20 May 2016)
Perfect cottage and very very helpfull and friendly people. We would visit this cottage again! Peter from Raalte (Nl) (06 May 2016)

Curtains and blinds need attention Stephen from Filey (28 December 2015)
The cottage and grounds are fantastic, extremely dog friendly which is such a relief and makes a real change for 'enclosed' to actually mean it. . . all the amenities you could need including a freezer and washing machine. Great set up for the tv and a log burner. very comfortable bedrooms meant I slept really well. . owners were very welcoming and discreet, they leave you along to enjoy your holiday. . . amazing walks at waterhay just down the road. Lunch at the old george in south cerney is worth a go as is the walk into ashton keynes and lunch at the white hart. Both dog friendly. . I am pretty sure we will be back, it is an ideal location and a comfortable cottage. Michelle from Basingstoke (02 October 2015)
Very enjoyable, clean comfortable, welcoming, privacy well respected, excellent wifi. Lovely area. Ken from Royston (25 September 2015)
Very nice stay our dog was loving it too Dougie from Ramsgate (28 August 2015)
We stayed first week in august 2015 and could not recommend pond cottage enough! we took cooking equipment but no need as the cottage is fully equipped with everything you might need for your holiday. our golden retriever sonny had a great time making use of the large field that was on our doorstep, and had plenty of space to run. The cottage was spotless and really lovely decorated, beds we're comfy and clean. The owners were really kind and always made themselves available if we needed them, and louise brought us lovely fresh eggs one morning for breakfast. I can honestly say I wouldn't hesitate to come back to pond cottage, great location for a peaceful break within easy reach of things to do and places to see :) thank you! Katie from Bedford (07 August 2015)
The hosts are nice. The property isn't really dog friendly as thought because dogs are not allowed upstairs. there are signs as you go upstairs saying remove your shoes too which wasn't nice. No full length or reasonable mirrors available. Had to buy a masher for cooking no visible washing line only an airer. Nice grounds but only access to large field through undergrowth. Sharon from Surrey (31 July 2015)
Louise was helpful and kind to us during our stay. Martin from Cumberland (06 July 2015)
Beautiful cottage and grounds, everything you could need and hope for was there. The owners were on hand whenever needed and so very lovely to us and our dogs. We would love to return to this stunning place as I am sure we will. The water park was just a brilliant place to go for the dogs and so close to us, and we found some lovely places to go and visit each day. Thank you for such a great holiday break Pam from Chelmsford (19 June 2015)
This cottage is in a rural setting with lots of green areas surrounding it, great for dog walking. There is a pond in the garden, which was ideal for us (three adults). the owners, who live about 20 yards from the cottage, are friendly and helpful. Good safe parking for cars just outside the cottage. Cricklade is a lovely small town and approximately 7 miles from cirencester, which is well worth a visit. Gwen from Hamilton (29 May 2015)
A truly lovely place to stay, we liked the enclosed garden for our two dogs and the extra space for them to run around in another enclosed area of ground. Enjoyed the use of netflix too an unexpected bonus, we would stay hear again with no hesitation. Ian from Chelmsford (08 May 2015)
Marc & louise and their children were very friendly and nothing was too much bother, lovely freshly laid eggs were given to us for one of our morning's breakfast.there was a great field within the perimeters of the cottage for our cocker spaniel to run around which ted really enjoyed. The cottage was spotless and this holiday stay really is great value for money, apart from all aforementioned comments one of the other real advantages of staying here was it is in a great location to explore the cotswold's . . if anyone is thinking of a peaceful setting, in a great location for getting around this is one to consider. . thanks marc, louise& family . . jason,carmy,grace&ted- hertfordshire Customer 33 from Hertfordshire (10 April 2015)
Lovely comfortable cottage in an excellent location for many interesting walks. Very dog friendly with a super secure field for exercise. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful relaxing break. Anita from Verwood (21 March 2015)
We just returned from a fantastic stay at pond cottahe for my 30th birthday. We wanted to be close to my grandparents near swindon but still have the comfort of our own place. The cottage sleeps 5 comfortably and they even had a cot for my 5 month old baby which was very easy to put up and very good quality. . the owners are absolutely lovely, they brought over some fresh eggs for us and popped over to help us build a fire in the gorgeous log burner. . the cottage is very modern and well equipped and had everything we needed to cook a great birthday dinner party!. . thank you louise and mark, we will surely be back in the future.. Charlotte from Birmingham (19 January 2015)
