This was a very cold property and not helped by the inadequate heaters. . the hot water supply wasn't very convenient as the immersion heater couldn't be left on and it was on a pay meter. There was no shower. . however a lovely area for walking. .but be aware of parking restrictions outside the property on the road. Karen from Suffolk (11 November 2016)
Very clean cost cottage Sally from France (09 September 2016)
Lovely little cottage, a minutes walk from town centre. Clean and tidy. Lovely facilities. The garden is a little sun trap (could do with cutting back as the bushes are starting to get a little over grown). local transport link (bus depot) within short distance. Lovely cafes, pubs and tourist attractions in and around the area. Have very much enjoyed our stay! Ken from Tyneside (02 September 2016)
This cottage was very clean and comfortable. Bridport is a charming little place and a good location for the varied places of interest in the area. The parking was a small problem since the nearest car park was a short stay hence making it hard to remain in the town for long. Although a long stay car park existed it was rather far away. Best not to take too much luggage as it is a trek to get it to the cottage. Water pressure was very low which explains why there was no shower. Periwinkle cottage is very pretty with the adjoining garden and the bed was very comfortable. Possibly a little larger screen tv would have been nice. The olive tree restaurant in the town was a great place to eat and the cottage's situation was good for shops and the wonderful market on saturday. Ann from Norwich (17 June 2016)
A very convenient cottage in the heart of bridport. Parking a bit expensive close by, a bit of a walk to the cheaper long stay parking. Cottage, although warm did have a bit of a 'damp' smell but quickly got used to it. Joyce from Sandy, Beds (13 November 2015)
Great holiday location cottage was damp and sometimes cold. Eileen from London (28 August 2015)
Fantastic location and beautiful garden. The cottage itself was a bit small, dark and old fashioned and the deal breaker for me was the lack of a shower coupled with the water pressure being so low that it would have taken forever to run a bath. Also most nights there was a lot of waste from the fruit and veg shop in the passage leading to the cottage. Lynn from Bicester (31 July 2015)
Lovely little cottage in a lovely. Convenient location. Bridport is fabulous Ann from Malvern (12 June 2015)
Lovely cottage in a lovely town, peaceful but a surprising ammount to find to do inthe evening. Would have to admit, have fallen in love with dorset, and this cottage is part of it. Parking is an art in bridport though. Rod from Telford (08 May 2015)
A wonderful little cottage close to town centre but very peaceful. Fell in love with area, great beach close by, as seen in broadchurch. Parking in bridport is a skill. Would like to think will get back there sometime. Rod from Telford (12 September 2014)
Wonderful! David from Pau France (11 July 2014)
We love periwinkle cottage for its ideal location and its wonderful walled garden at the back. Its so quiet, even though it is near the centre of town. We have stayed in the cottage three times and hope to return next year. Alison from Penarth (13 June 2014)
The lack of parking,, the fact that there is no shower, and the £1 coin meter for electricity are real downsides. But the location makes up for this to a large extent. Confirmed Purchaser (30 May 2014)
Dinky cottage, super location, nice outside space. drawbacks: no washing machine/inadequate towels supplied; electricity via £1 meter. Catherine from Burgass (30 August 2013)
Good location; v,quiet. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable lounge & bedroom. Appreciated the patio esp. As weather was good Irene from Mandurah Wa (12 Jul 2013)
This was our second stay in periwinkle cottage and we enjoyed it even more as the weather was good. It was lovely to relax in the walled garden full of summer flowers. We met the owner of the cottage, who kindly gave me a tiny hollyhock plant which is now thriving in south wales. The cottage is perfectly situated for bridport and the coast. It is cosy and comfortable, a great little retreat. Alison from Penarth (05 Jul 2013)
Lovely little cottage tucked away behind main street, so very easy access to shops and market, but very quite. charming little walled garden with table and chairs. very well equiped, and very clean. we had a great weeks break. Julie from Brentford (21 Jun 2013)
Quiet, clean, and convenient for local shops and saturday antique market. Kitchen well-equipped. love the little garden - great for sitting and eating in. Pauline from London (07 Jun 2013)
It`s in an ideal situation in the centre of bridport, close to all amenities and bridport itself is a good central point from which to visit other parts of dorset. David from Chesham Buckinghamshire (05 October 2012)

Delightful location. Customer 25 (April 2010)
The location was very appealing, being tucked away down a small lane behind a shop, but very accessible to the centre of town and all its facilities. Customer 26 (March 2010)
Total peace and quiet, but right in the town centre. Old style cottage with modern amenities. Customer 27 (October 2009)
Periwinkle was very clean and the equipment up-to-date. We thought the garden and courtyard lovely. Situated in the heart of Bridport it was very convenient for shops and buses and the Museum and Arts Centre. The owner has presented the property very nicely. Customer 28 (October 2009)
The location - in the heart of Bridport but down a quiet alley way - was superb and very much undersold in the brochure/online. Customer 29 (August 2009)
Central location good providing easy to Bridport on foot - a pleasure to leave the car in nearby carpark and relax. Customer 30 (July 2009)
The cottage leads directly into the main centre of Bridport. Customer 31 (July 2009)
Periwinkle Cottage was a delight, so peaceful and tranquil considering it’s town centre location. Had we not been so totally satisfied with the property we might have seen a bit more of Bridport, let alone Dorset! Customer 32 (August 2008)
A couple of pleasant touches. A pint of milk and a car parking pass. Very nice to receive. Nicely presented. Helpful hints on how the cottage operated, where to go and where to get what. Very good!! Customer 33 (July 2008)
