Enjoyed our stay. Very friendly owners and lovely welcome goodies. ideal for walks with the dogs and enclosed gardens. Lovely base. The local pub, the robartes arms, was a friendly pub that did great meals and provided wifi, which we missed in the cottage. Fantastic walks straight through the back gate. The dogs loved tehidy country park. Melody from Rotherham (29 July 2017)
We had a lovely stay at the cottage with ok weather apart from our departure day. The reason we would not return is that we thought the garden was secure and within 10 minutes of our arrival our highly prey driven springer spaniels had escaped and were running amok in the traffic outside!! no harm done but we did have to keep them on leads from then on. Lovely gesture of gifts in the fridge !! lots of fresh fruit which was very welcome too Marilyn from Clevedon (21 July 2017)
The welcome goodies were wonderful. Unfortunately the garden wasn't secure, as we were told. We had to spend money to secure the garden. Not having any garden loungers or parasol was very disappointing. Barbara from Essex (08 July 2017)
Lovely bungalow. . could do with wifi but not the end of the world. . other than that, it fitted the bill perfectly. Alan from Cardiff (16 June 2017)
Our second stay at pastrol. welcome pack fantastic. possibly could do with a couple of things updating such as cd player with a usb connection. there is no wifi but saying that we had a great week without that making it really relaxing. . our dog enjoyed the garden. . the house was clean and really had everything you wanted. maybe some instructions with the cooker and microwave would be good. we will definitely be making another booking. Donna from Westward Ho! (03 June 2017)
The bungalow was clean and well stocked, and the owners had left us a wonderful welcome package - tea, coffee and milk, very well stocked fruit baskets and a treat in the fridge for us. the location was superb, within easy distance of fabulous walks and beautiful coastline. it was an ideal base and I would not hesitate to go back. . a huge thank you to the owners for making us feel so welcome. Kate from Cotford St Luke (04 November 2016)
Cottage is in a great location for beaches and countryside. very clean and the welcome goodies were more than expected and greatly appreciated. . . would certainly recommend to others and are also hoping to return in the future. Donna from Devon (28 October 2016)
Clean homely cottage, but a bit dated. Very well equipped & everything you need. However, there was a smell of damp in main bedroom and information on how to use oven would have been useful. The location is good for exploring around the area, but without a car not easy to reach the beach, although advertised as coastal property. Good for dogs Denise from Bewdley (22 October 2016)
Very well placed for local beach, property is dog friendly with secure garden. Although compact all equipment is available.owners make you feel welcome without being intrusive Steve from Callands (01 October 2016)
Very cosy cottage the only home comfort missing was no wifi or dishwasher. Not to far from local attractions and we was made very welcome with our. 4 dogs, so yes highly recommended Stephen from Kettering (24 September 2016)
We enjoyed our stay at pastrol cottage. the cottage has all that you would need and is in a nice location. the dogs particularly liked tehidy country park, which was approximately ten minutes walk away. . . the cottage is well situated to explore the local area. we visited trebah (lovely beach), the seal sanctuary, land's end, wheal martyn, healey's cider farm and newquay (very busy). the weather was lovely. Jonathan from Colchester (27 August 2016)
Better for people with pets (ie. Dogs). the property was comfortable and perfectly fine for our 2-week stay, but we wouldn't stay there again purely because it is optimised for groups with dogs. George from Rugby (13 August 2016)
The cottage is situated ideally for touring cornwall. the cottage is very comfortable and fully equipped with everything you need, the surrounding area surprised us in the amenities available and portreath beach was perfect for children and absolutely beautiful, we also recommend the chinese takeaway in portreath and the fish and chip shop in redruth called pysk hag asklos. The one thing that would make it perfect would be the garden tidied up and more garden furniture eg, barbecue. the welcome gifts were much appreciated and very generous, thank you for the superb holiday, rose, jon and lyndon w-wesgate Rosemarie from Cardiff (11 June 2016)
Brilliant Anthony from Moulton (04 June 2016)
We had a lovely holiday in pastrol cottage , the welcome pack was very generous and a great surprise , there was every thing you could need . the conservatory was lovely for eating in even in november . our dogs loved the garden ,it was a real bonus that we could take our 3 dogs into a comfy place for our holiday. Sally (07 November 2015)
The welcome gifts were far beyond anything we have had before, the equipment/materials in the cottage covered every eventuality the position of the cottage was perfect for us and our two gigs to explore tehidy woods and all the north coast we went from st agnes to landsend on our travels and the little path behind the garden made it safe to walk down to the woods avoiding the road. Steve from Plympton (31 October 2015)
Very welcoming host leading to a wonderful week in a beautiful cottage, private yet perfectly located for coastal resorts and woodland walks. Cottage was very clean with all facilities to hand. Conservatory was ideal for breakfast and the garden exceptional for the dogs. Supermarkets close by and portreath beach only a two minute drive. Steve from Warrington (26 September 2015)
This cottage was excellent. The owner had left many lovely surprises for us, which were much appreciated. It was lovely to sit in the conservatory and watch the squirrels in the garden every day. The location of the property is ideal for touring. Sheila from Newbury (19 September 2015)
This was a lovely cottage, well located and a huge garden, the dogs loved it. Hoover was a bit ancient but apart from that lovely little cottage. Ps conservatory was gorgeous. Teresa from Faversham (05 September 2015)
What an amazing welcome to the cottage, little gifts in all rooms, so clean, so spacious and the garden was amazing for the children and our two dogs. Would stay there again and again. Emma from Essex (15 August 2015)
Lovely bungalow, well equipped, good location, nice big garden for dog. would go there again, we had a great time and ben our dog enjoyed it too. Susan from Doncaster (13 June 2015)
A lovely comfortable week in a lovely location for exploring the coasts of cornwall. a very peaceful setting and a well equipped bungalow with a great conservatory. the welcome package was superb with bowls of fresh fruit, wine, biscuits and more. John from Washingborough Lincoln (30 May 2015)
A lovely bungalow in a quiet location. Very clean and the welcome pack was fantastic. The only disappointment was the garden was not fully enclosed, the property could have done with a fence at the front of the property. Jane from Eastleigh (09 May 2015)
Once again, we had a lovely break. pity aboout the weather though! Lesley from Whalley (04 April 2015)
We love this cottage. I think this was our fourth visit? Lesley from Whalley (25 October 2014)
Had a lovely week and will go back, could do with more general information, ie :- how to work heating and cooker, also where to put recycling, apart from that, it's a lovely location to spend your holiday Kay from Poole (20 September 2014)
Great cottage.clean ,private and everything you need.excellent welcome package.thank you. Lynne from Pontypool (20 June 2014)
The cottage is great and is indeed in a fabulous location, especially for walking dogs with tehidy woods just a short walk away, but I would mention that the garden is not entirely enclosed in that my dogs could get out the front by jumping on the ledge and over, also the entrance is rather tight for a 4x4. the conservatory at the back is wonderful and a definite suntrap in the afternoons. some appliances in the property could do with updating and an instruction manual for some items would have been useful. the only reason I stated that I would not go back to the cottage is for the pure reason that we have visited cornwall many times and wish to go other regions. Sally from Godalming (07 June 2014)
Lovely place to stay. Been now twice perfect for the hounds to run around. Great location . such a shame it's £100 increase for next year so can't come same time next year cheaper to go abroad :( Mike from Chippenham (31 May 2014)
