Lovely cottage in a charming location. Handy for many resorts in the county. Nice safe garden for the dogs.. can recommend this cottage to people who like character and quirkiness
Ali from Newton Le Willows (01 July 2017)

The cottage is comfortable for two adults any more would be a bit of a squeeze. The location is ideal for exploring cornwall, with dog friendly beaches and walks.
Fisher from Bognor Regis (17 June 2017)

Perfectly located for touring around the county. When we drove up to the cottage it looked lovely, and we weren't disappointed when we got inside. It was warm and welcoming. The cream tea was a lovely touch. The weather was a bit wet at start of week and we had to visit lands end twice just to see what we'd missed the first time because of the weather!! minack theatre is well worth a visit. We did the park and ride to st ives which was great as trying to find a car park would have been a nightmare. We also did the coastal walk to st ives as well and got the train back which was good. Would definitely recommend the cottage to family and friends. If we were visiting cornwall again it would be a cottage we'd return to.
June from Cumbria (20 May 2017)

Peaceful cottage with sheltered garden and five minutes from the excellent village shop.
Customer 4 (13 May 2017)

Picturesque! lovely thatched cornish cottage, loved the location. Great for anyone with dogs. Fantastic local walk, shop round the corner . fab weekend.
Graham from Manchester (13 March 2017)

Park cottage is a typical cosy cornish thatched country cottage. Great location, especially for dog owners. It is well equipped, clean and comfortable. Flowers and cream tea are a generous indication of hospitality. The well cared-for enclosed garden is another positive asset. We stayed there during quite a wet period and in the house is was a bit moist and damp. A tumble dryer could be very helpful, just to get the towels dry. In addition the roof needs to be renewed. The owner told us that the cottage will get a new roof this autumn. When this is done, park cottage will get again our highest recommendation.
Martina from Pocking / Bavaria (17 September 2016)

Lovely cottage, nice quiet village, a cream tea was waiting for us on arrival, which was a nice surprise, would. Definitely stay there again.
Deborah from Kent (03 September 2016)

The cottage was in a peaceful village and in a great location. it was comfortable, clean, cozy and a real bonus was being able to take our two dogs. a great base for exploring cornwall.
Sarah from Woodley, Reading (20 August 2016)

My husband, myself and our dog alfie had a fabulous week at park cottage. we loved the location and it was a great base to explore other parts of cornwall. will definitely be back!
Linda from Birmingham (16 July 2016)

Unfortunately we had a lot of rain in june however it was warm.
Confirmed Guest (25 June 2016)

Had a fantastic time at park cottage. Would love to go again next year. Ideal for us and our to springers. The cottage is lovely and makes an ideal base to all the surrounding attractions. The cream tea on arrival was a lovely touch. Can't speak highly enough of this lovely cottage.
Julia from Chelmsford (11 June 2016)

A lovely cottage in a perfect location for falmouth and truro areas. excellent sheltered enclosed private garden with constant birdsong from the nearby woods. . . a larger bed would have been more comfortable, and the stairs were rather steep, though of course this is an old cottage.
Jane from North Wales (21 May 2016)

Lovely cosy cottage warm and comfortable. Good secure back garden for dogs. Good location for exploring cornwall. Cream tea on table on arrival was perfect treat after long drive. Bath small but fine would be useful to have shower hook on wall but very minor point that in no way detracted from stay. Two rainy days out of six in march otherwise spring sunshine so perfect week. Thank you would love to visit again.
Sue from Essex (26 March 2016)

Cottage is in a great location. . it is very comfortable and the gardens are lovely. . my only suggestions would be that the owners should invest in a decent shower. It was the biggest disappointment. Even if it meant removing the bath, which is too small, a decent shower would make all the difference after long walks and days at the beach.
Viv from Hereford (18 March 2016)

Lovely cosy cottage, very welcoming with cream tea and fresh flowers! very people and dog friendly place.
Philip from Cowplain (12 March 2016)

Lovely cute cottage in a great location. we would recommend it for a relaxing break and will definitely be back again soon!. . the owners have taken the trouble to leave lots of information about local attractions, pubs, restaurants and nearby walks which helped to make the most of our short break.
Claire from Benfleet Essex (22 February 2016)

Good location, warm cosy characterful cottage with all mod cons. Good local walks, local shop and pub. Fresh bedding and towels, and the welcome gift on arrival was a lovely idea. Communication with the cottage owners was friendly and helpful.
Simon from Nottingham (01 February 2016)

The house is dirty and in poor repair, various areas are covered in mould and fungus, often painted over but showing under paint and tiles. the double bed is terrible, firm on the edge, saggy in the centre. the roof is leaking and in very bad repair. there is no place to dry and washing but a rail in a very mouldy and damp "drying room". windows and doors do not shut properly. the place is a lot smaller to what it looks in the photos. The gas fire was condemned the day I arrived, in october.
Sbd from Wales (17 October 2015)

Very comfortable warm cottage with a small( perfectly adequate) and secure garden. Lovely and quiet at night, one night we didn't want to go to sleep as we would have missed the owls hooting - just idylic! lovely walks from the door and famous nursery a couple of minutes away. Within easy reach of great beaches and things to do.
Paul from Marlborough (10 October 2015)

Beautiful little cottage in a lovely location. Gorgeous cream tea on arrival. Great location for woodland walk at kennal vale.
Colette from Manchester (26 September 2015)

Love park cottage. It is an easy stroll from the extremely beautiful kennall vale nature reserve. Location is so peaceful &, dog owners, garden is genuinely fully enclosed, so peace of mind for you regarding your hairy bff. Garden is a sun trap too so no need to go out & about if you don't want to.
Donna from Bristol (08 August 2015)

Private and peaceful with lovely walks for the dog. just what we wanted.
Jackie from Westerham (27 June 2015)

Beautiful ideal for all the family and the dog. Great area ideal for visiting different beaches and exploring cornwall. Had everything we needed.
Sharon from Luton (11 April 2015)

Delightful little cottage in a perfect location, garden very secure for dogs very friendly landlord at the stag pub had a wonderful time great location for day trips out to the number of beaches and coves around cornwall. . I would highly recommend it. Regards bob and helen
Robert from Telford (27 March 2015)

Just had a wonderful week in park cottage with husband and dog. The cottage was very comfortable. we found a great local walk for the dog in kennal rise with woods, waterfall and various paths, and the beaches were great and not too far away. We chose a different one each day! a lovely touch was to be greeted upon our arrival with homemade scones, jam and clotted cream. the local shop was well equipped and sold some lovely pasties and the meal in the pub nearby was very good. all in all a very nice cottage and a very nice place.
Elaine from Barcombe, Near Lewes (21 March 2015)

Lovely cottage with nice enclosed garden for our 2 dogs. Good location for kennal vale, falmouth and the beaches. Standard of cleanliness in some areas could be improved. An information folder would have been helpful about local services, bin and recycling info etc..not one to be found in cottage.
Fiona from Hertfordshire (24 February 2015)

The cottage was very cosy and welcoming. The cream tea on arrival was the perfect start to our week in cornwall. The dehumidifier was a little frustrating and a new roof would be money well spent. The screws had been tightened to much for the batten supports on the double bed and as a result the pointed tips are protruding on every screw which snagged a pair of my wife's jeans and are quite sharp for calf height. the fridge door needs to be shot in properly or better still a nice new fridge. The entrance to the parking is quite tight and could cause some difficulty for larger vehicles. Overall it was a lovely cottage and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The enclosed garden was great for the dogs and we would recommend it to others.
Adrian from Burgess Hill (01 November 2014)

Picturesque cottage, central location fine upstairs but downstairs could do with some tlc. lovely enclosed rear garden ideal for our little dog.
Tina from Plymouth (04 October 2014)

The cottage looks quaint and this is part of the charm, the rear garden is totally secure and our dogs were fine there. the seclusion of the place is very good even tho it is on the outskirts of the village. . however I cannot iterate enough that the stairs are a problem for someone who has a slight difficulty in climbing, we have open stairs at home but the depth of the tread was the problem and also the handrail as you could not grasp it. . the property obviously has a problem with dampness, as the dehumidifier running and the slight smell of damp in the kitchen cupboards shows. . the owners need to do something about this. . we enjoyed ourselves there but the difficulty of the stairs meant we left a day early.
David from Cirencester (27 September 2014)

Lovely pretty little cottage, comfortable and had everything we needed with secure garden (great for dogs). lovely walk just up road in kenall vale nature reserve (site of old powder mills). village pub serves excellent food and is dog friendly (food only served eves weds - sat + sun lunch when we were there). good location for exploring cornwall.
Nicola from Maidstone (20 September 2014)

Lovley idyllic spot shame about general cleanliness damp dust cobwebs rust under fridge and found dead maggots under microwave . :( woudnt book through cottages for you again
Stacey from Barnsley (13 September 2014)

Cottage was a little damp but otherwise a nice setting.
Confirmed Purchaser (23 August 2014)

This was a perfect thatched cottage in a convenient location to visit all of cornwall. We had a lovely week and found the preparation for our visit very welcoming.
Customer 33 from St Albans (16 August 2014)

Beautiful, peaceful cottage. Very comfortable & cosy. I would definitely go back there. The ceilings are low though, so if you are over 6ft you may be a bit cramped.
Donna from Bristol (26 July 2014)

Lovely location & ideal for dogs with enclosed garden & great walks at kennell vale. The cottage was nice but, even in july it still was very damp with humidifier running constantly. Also water leaking from back garden wall resulting in permanent puddle by the back door.
Alan from Cambs (19 July 2014)

The thatched cottage is a delight and in great location for sw cornwall, but access to main trunk road from ponsanooth village is difficult. Cottage very comfortable, with good storage and hanging space, is exceptionally attractive, and with pretty garden which is enclosed and safe for dogs/children. It was a pleasure to sit out using the garden furniture. Wi fi was welcome and worked well. Cornish cream tea was left for us on arrival, and the owner told us of a fantastic local walk for dogs (and humans!) just 300 yards away at kennal vale. The house need some maintenance: an adjacent small spring needs to be diverted into the drains, and the concrete round the house replaced with chips to reduce dampness. Shower is effective but not easy to control; leaking tap in kitchen.
David from Edinburgh (12 July 2014)

Some improvements could be made to the cottage. It was damp even though a humidifier was provided. Heating and hot water, kitchen and bathroom were acceptable.the beds were comfortable. It could have been cleaner - there were dog biscuits under the double bed,a can under the sofa, and hairs throughout. The cottages are always better when a caretaker is not relied on.
Alison from Buckingham (24 May 2014)

We like it so much this was our second visit!
Liz from Northampton (17 May 2014)

We had good communication prior to our arrival, informing us of directions, access information and contacts in case of any problems which was very good. On arrival at park cottage we were greeted with some lovely home made scones, strawberry jam and clotted cream, which was lovely, and a vase of flowers was also a nice touch. the cottage itself was very cosy and lovely to stay in. everything you needed was to hand and we were very happy with our stay. the location of the cottage is ideal for dog walkers as kennall vale is just a 5 mins walk away and there is also a pub, post office and newsagents within walking distance which is very handy. the local pub "the stag hunt" serves very good food and would definitely recommend if you would like to eat out. the enclosed garden is ideal for dogs and the off road parking is very handy. The location of the cottage is also ideal for travelling to all parts of cornwall. overall we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend park cottage to couples or small families with dogs.
Lee from Bristol (10 May 2014)

The outside was aesthetically pleasing, on arrival there we're lovely touches cream tea. but whilst in the cottage smelt of dog and damp, there was a dehumidifier masking the smell, but it was very poignant in the downstairs room. the living room had a can of red bull under the sofa where is not been cleaned. . the cottage needs a lot of tlc. the bathroom was clean however the bath panel and the woodwork for pipe work was all broken and milder. Kitchen units warped .. . I appreciate the inclement weather may have caused damage to the property but if the owners rang us to reschedule when improvements were done we would have appreciated it. fortunately we was only there for a weekend and used this as a base. Otherwise I wouldnt have been happy to stay there for the weekend .
Michael from Caerphilly (17 March 2014)

We stayed at this cottage a year ago. It is still a sweet little cottage, nicely placed for kennall vale and with the huge advantage of a secure garden - ideal for our two dogs. following months of rain it was pretty damp on arrival - we were the first to stay for 3 weeks or so. the standards of cleanliness have slipped, there were cobwebs in some corners, hair in the bath but the bedding and loo was clean. plenty of defects - back door does not close properly, a bolt has fallen off, tv worked some of the time, and the fire in the sitting room still does not work (and hasn't for a year going by visitor comments). fine for our purposes but it is looking a bit tired compared to a year ago.
Damon from Gosport (22 February 2014)

Potentially a lovely cottage and in a great location, however the whole property was suffering from damp. The owners provided a dehumidifier, however this had to be on 24*7 and still struggled to keep up. Unfortunately this has led to pealing paintwork (kitchen, bathroom), mould in most rooms and on shelving in kitchen/cupboards and an overall damp atmosphere. Cottage has the potential for being a great property, however as this is such a small property you cannot afford it to be damp. Based on our experience and the cost of the property for the week, we did not find it value for money.
Martin from Swindon (31 August 2013)

Park cottage is a lovely cottage to stay in, we were lucky on our stay as we caught the august sun of 2013. The cottage itself is very attractive and has that lovely cornish feel to it both inside and out. We found the cottage to be very clean and it had everything we needed for our stay. The location was good, there is a really good park and a shop at the bottom of the road. . I would stay here again, as its well equipped with an adequate secure garden for the dogs, there is off street parking, comfy beds, wifi, looks lovely has a nice feel to it, and although you are in a village the cottage is far enough up the lane to give a nice quite feel to it. All in all a great cornish cottage. .
Rob from Hants (17 August 2013)

Lovely cottage that grew on me after the initial disappointment of spending a couple of hours cleaning kitchen and bathroom before moving our things in. I am sure this has been amended as owner/caretaker were responsive. Cottage damp even in august but nothing to ruin holiday. . good location for visiting various parts of cornwall.
Karen from Windsor (10 August 2013)

An excellent cottage, in a great location.the cottage had everything that we needed and a nice private garden. Walking distance of pub which serves good food and the local village shop.
Jackie from Ross On Wye (06 Jul 2013)

The cottage appeal. Lovely location, gardens etc. Upstairs was clean & comfortable. Lots of good kitchen utensils.
Lynn from Manchester (29 Jun 2013)

The location close to the forrest. The quiet surroundings. Good access to all sights of interest.
Bernhard from Idar-Oberstein (25 May 2013)

Milk, bottle of wine and box of shortbread greeted us on arrival. Very clean and tidy.lovely little cottage with easy access to towns and beaches.
Andy from Haywards Heath (06 April 2013)

Position for us was perfect and felt very homely and relaxing
Debbie from Dunkeswell Devon (01 March 2013)

Ideal for small family and dogs, everything we needed. . loads of charms not too perfect - not a show home, comfortable to stay in
Damon from Gosport (22 February 2013)

Very charming little cottage in a brilliant location with the amazing kennall vale nature reserve just up the road. Very welcoming with wine, shortbread, tea, coffee and even a pint of milk in the fridge for much needed refreshments after the long drive down to cornwall. Heating already on an a bunch of cheery daffs too! lots of information about local attractions in the cottage. The enclosed rear garden was brilliant for the dog.
Melissa from West Wiltshire (15 February 2013)

Beautiful little cottage nicely laid out and well equipped.
Ben from Isle Of Wight (15 December 2012)

Enclosed garden. Lovely bath and lots of hot water. Snug tv room. Warm cottage. Good location. Bargain of the year
Paul from Westerham (24 November 2012)

Beautiful cottage on the outside and inside. Enclosed garden excellent for dogs. Good location for touring
Deb from Eyam (10 November 2012)

Cleanliness, equipment and comfort - all excellent
Anne from Bournemouth (27 October 2012)

This cottage was perfect for our family of three. We had an excellent week and thoroughly loved our little cottage. We had all the necessary comforts including a washing machine. It was spotless when we arrived and the welcoming touches of flowers, shortbread and wine were a lovely touch. would recommend this cottage to anyone and have already booked again for next easter. Cornwall is beautiful and we have fallen in love with it lol x
Marie from Rotherham (20 October 2012)

Very homely, lovely fresh flowers, wine and shortbread a nice touch. Beautiful and romantic for out honeymoon. Let us take all 3 small dogs
Tracy from Harlow (13 October 2012)

Location very good. Easy for south and north coast. Quiet location. Very good. Shop on the door step for supplies
Merilyn from Derby (06 October 2012)

A very well appointed traditional cottage. This however means headroom is slightly reduced so tall people like me have to stoop here & there! However this is more than offset by the facilities, cleanliness & tidiness. There was plenty of information about what to do & where to go including previous occupants comments on local pubs, restaurants, places of interest, etc.
Customer 59 (September 2012)

Great location, close to beaches and within easy reach of eden project and other attractions. Really lovely local pub and beautiful woodland walk just 5 minutes walk away. Good enclosed garden for children and pets.
Maria from Manchester (16 June 2012)

One of the prettiest cottages in Cornwall. So quaint and full of character. Good location to tour all of Cornwall.
Customer 61 (June 2012)

Very sweet cottage, exactly as described. Easy access to all parts of Cornwall. I don’t think there was a bay we did not explore. The cottage was warm and comfortable. The enclosed garden was a bonus for the dogs. The welcome tea tray wine and flowers were a nice touch. Would highly recommend.
Customer 62 (October 2011)

Apart from a problem with condensation the property was cosy and historically attractive. This was a good location for Holly the Collie as poo bins and a stunning walk (Kennal Vale) were close by.
Customer 63 (September 2011)

We loved this cottage it was absolutely perfect for us and will definitely going back! We did have a problem with the hot water when we first arrived but the agent was easy to contact and had the problem fixed ASAP, he was really helpful and friendly. The stairs are open without a bannister on one side but my 21month old boy could manage them no problem, i think there are only 8 steps in total! If you want a real cottage this is it. There were many thoughtful extras at the property, such as a bottle of wine and pack of biscuits on arrival, current magazines and fresh flowers, there is also a selection of board games and some fiction and local interest books. The home books is excellent, and should be read as soon as you arrive to maximise your holiday experience!
Customer 64 (June 2011)

Cottage was very pretty and so was the front garden but the rear garden could be nicer for sitting out in (few more shrubs or plants).
Customer 65 (June 2011)

It is obvious that a pride is taken in the cleanliness of the cottage and the little added extras, like flowers on arrival, are a lovely welcome. If you have a car the location of the property is excellent as you can get onto the A road that enables you to explore. We tried to book for our next holiday but unfortunately for us the property was already booked!!
Customer 66 (April 2011)

Great local pub, very friendly. Kennal vale FANTASTIC.
Customer 67 (April 2011)

Very well provisioned. Sweet cottage with everything required. Easily accommodated 2 adults and 2 younger children.
Customer 68 (December 2010)

Fabulous cosy cottage, typical chocolate box cottage.
Customer 69 (December 2010)

Very quaint thatched cottage in a lovely area.
Customer 70 (November 2010)

Nice location. Well equipped.
Customer 71 (August 2010)

Nice cottage but could be better.
Customer 72 (July 2010)

Beautiful cottage in an excellent position for people with dogs/or walkers, as the magical Kennall Vale is within 30 yards of cottage. It is also well placed for easy access to dog friendly beaches.
Customer 73 (July 2010)

Clean and tidy.
Customer 74 (June 2010)

The size was a bit of a shock when we first arrived. We had anticipated the cottage as being a little bigger from the virtual tour. On our return, we looked again and the `tour’ was quite accurate. The open staircase could be a hazard. However, apart from a few light bulbs being out and no replacements, the property was clean, tidy and comfortable.
Customer 75 (May 2010)

The cottage was smallish but very cosy. We loved it and would definitely recommend it.
Customer 76 (March 2010)

Exactly as described on website. Cosy, comfortable, clean, well stocked accommodation in lovely rural setting. Would love to return in near future.
Customer 77 (February 2010)

We found Park Cottage very comfortable and cosy. We hope to visit again in the near future. Very well presented.
Customer 78 (October 2009)

Quaint cottage in a great location for exploring Cornwall.
Customer 79 (July 2009)

A cottage that is diminutive in size but immense in charm.
Customer 80 (April 2009)

The cottage was very clean and bright with fresh flowers, bottle of wine, treats and a tea tray including fresh milk.
Customer 81 (March 2009)

The wine and tea which was there as a welcome was a very welcome gesture, much appreciated. The cottage was more than suitable and was very comfortable and cosy.
Customer 82 (August 2008)

We couldn’t ask for more from the cottage and the location. It was the ideal place to explore the best parts of Cornwall. I would like to thank you for an excellent service you provided in booking our holiday. I would pass on my recommendations to anyone who is looking to book a holiday with yourselves. Thank you.
Customer 83 (August 2008)

This was a fantastic cottage, the best we’ve stayed in. It was clean and very comfortable and the garden was great for our 2 year old son. There was everything we could have needed and it was nice to have tea, coffee, milk and a bottle of wine there on our arrival!
Customer 84 (July 2008)

Excellent to access St. Anthony Head which has a lovely 5 mile walk.
Customer 85 (March 2008)
