This is a well equipped dog friendly cottage where the humans are well catered for too. Good location for touring north norfolk. We also picked up on a couple of ideas for our cottage at home Ray from Draycott (14 July 2017)
The barn was spacious and comfortable. It lacked for nothing even down to a notepad and pens in a drawer. We were greeted with a full afternoon tea, milk, fresh bread and two eggs for breakfast. The owners were a phone call away if we needed them otherwise we were left to enjoy our holiday. A very pleasant area and a lovely pub next door serving great food . all in all probably the best cottage we have stayed in and when we looked in the visitors booked we were not alone in thinking that. Mrs Smith from Mansfield (07 July 2017)
Great holiday in a lovely cottage! Robert from Sheffield (05 May 2017)
Extremely comfortable cottage with well equipped kitchen. owners have put a lot of thought into making it cosy. would definitely stay there again. Lynda from Totnes, Devon (24 March 2017)
A lovely cottage with everything you need, including food for us and the dogs when we arrived. we did find the cottage quite dark. Otherwise perfect. Lorna from Nottingham (14 October 2016)
Excellent right from entering with the very friendly welcome, all the goodies & information of places to visit,& especially the beautiful weather that we asked for. Malcolm from Colchester (19 August 2016)
Lovely cottage , but no pub and fish and chip shop has stated on web site, more than 1 mile to beach. Also the neighbours were grumpy , had a good day out and was met by neighbours complaining how we had parked car even though we were getting car unloaded after day out. Would have been better if owner had let us know when he was calling(buy text ). also a bit disappointed there was no wi fi and the tv was a bit on the small side. Amanda from Halifax (12 August 2016)
We have had a really lovely time and we're made to feel so welcome with delicious home made goodies. It was well equipped and beautifully presented and a pleasure to come back to after our days out discovering north norfolk. It was great to meet the owners briefly and personally thank them. Our only comment would be to ask for a softer pillow.. or two Zoe from Solihull (29 July 2016)
This is probably one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. Brilliant welcome back, well equipped, enormous bed, comfortable and everything you could home for in a holiday cottage. Owners were very helpful. Parking right in front of cottage. Nikki from Prestwood, Bucks (15 July 2016)
The bedroom, particularly the bed, and the bathroom, were the most pleasant rooms because they were light and airy. The lounge/dining room and kitchen were on the dark side, particularly on gloomy days. However, the cottage was extremely well cared for with some much appreciated, lovely personal and generous touches, including the best welcome pack we've ever had. The owners clearly take a great deal of pride in making guests feel welcome. The cottage was very comfortable and comprehensively equipped. The tv was on the small side, and there wasn't a dishwasher, but we weren't bothered by this. . langham itself is very well-situated for morston, ( 1 mile),blakeney ( 2 miles) and binham.(2 miles), but a warning - we had to walk 100 metres down the road to get a phone signal, and the only place we could get the very weak bt wi-fi signal was in one corner of the bedroom - a nuisance if you're addicted to your smart phone. Our one reservation did concern the location. Entrance to the courtyard and the cottage passes across an area fronting a neighbouring house. Although we were told we could park in front of the gate, or in the courtyard, it soon became clear that the neighbours didn't like it, so parking in the road is probably safer and less hassle. Jenny from Shropshire (24 June 2016)
The barn was very clean and freshly decorated. The kitchen is very smart and well equipped. There is a comfortable super king sized bed and a good sized bathroom. There is ample hot water and heating and it is nice to have an open fire for cool evenings. Parking can be a bit tight if you have a large car. The location is excellent and well situated for the attractions of the blakeney/holt area as well as the rest of north norfolk. It is difficult to think of any criticisms - maybe the tv could be upgraded as the (satellite) picture was rather variable. Peter from Upton, Nuneaton (10 June 2016)
The owners are very hospitable to both us and the dogs which we found extremely pleasing. the cottage is ideal for 2 adults with excellent equipment and facilities. we found it ideally located for for every destination which we visited and we went somewhere different each day. the only small quibble is that the pub next door has been closed for a few months and is unlikely to open again. this is important to us as we source our destinations (twice yearly) based on distance to the local pub as we like to walk there to eat and drink. John from Bacup (03 June 2016)
Such a lovely cottage with all the items of equipment one could want .. and more . it was so nice of the owners to provide a welcome pack for afternoon tea and next day's breakfast. The rooms are all of a good size, the furniture comfortable and the décor a delight- all on the theme of sea and sand, all in blue and white. I cant' think of anything that wasn't good. Gloria from Sheffield (06 May 2016)
A delightful and cosy home-from-home - in a great location for exploring the beaches and wetlands of the north norfolk coast. Sue from Lenham (22 April 2016)
A lovely cottage and felt spacious and very well-appointed for two people. our dog was made to feel very welcome. however if you're not a dog person, the cottage does not have any trace that dogs stay there. Jenny from Bath (08 April 2016)
Extremely well equipped and very clean cottage with lovely welcoming goodies. Liz from Inverness (11 March 2016)

We have stayed at old salts barn now for the last 4 years,. it has all the home comforts you will ever need, it is always spotlessly clean. The welcome pack is always appreciated Steve from Royston (19 June 2015)
This was the cleanest and most well equipped cottage that we've stayed in. The owners have put a lot of thought and effort into making our stay truly comfortable. There was a much appreciated welcome pack upon arrival for us and clean water for the dog, plus doggy treats and toys. Salt barn is excellently situated, near to the coast and the countryside and a pub near by. A great place if you want a quiet, relaxing holiday. Janet from Rochester (05 June 2015)
Had a fantastic holiday and the cottage was extremely good, absolute comfort, cleanliness and was very cosy. the welcome pack which was left for us was excellent. the location was perfect for visiting all the coastal resorts, and other places of interest. our preferences were blakeney point and wells by the sea, walsingham and holkham. eating out was not a problem as there were lots of places within easy reach. Brian from Horbury West Yorkshire (22 May 2015)
Excellent cottage with every thing you could think of inside for you to use. Norfolk is a lovely area but could do with better and more footpaths. The weather was good and people were friendly. . plenty of wildlife to keep a look out for in the surrounding areas. Bernadette from Rawmarsh (10 April 2015)
Parking in the courtyard was difficult but just about okay. A saucepan handle fell off. once we got the hang of the t. V. That was fine. Otherwise good. welcome pack very welcome! we had dreadful weather but we can't blame that on the cottage ! loved the area . Maureen from Bath (03 April 2015)
A wonderful welcome package. A lovely cottage in a charming village. Janet from Tycroes (20 March 2015)

Gorgeous cottage. Welcome packs for us and the dogs which were much appreciated. Extremely comfortable and superbly equipped. Loved it. Carole from Nottingham (26 September 2014)
The only thing we missed in this delightful cottage was a dishwasher. Lovely personal touches. It really felt like a home and is perfectly placed for access to the coast. Right on a national cycle route - we hardly used the car. The wonderful village pub is a bonus. Hedley from Bury St Edmunds (29 August 2014)
We had a super time of course weather was fantastic. Young people who worked in nearby hostelry were very friendly and helpful. The most we travelled in a day was 8 miles! plenty of nearby places to visit and to walk. Irene from Portpatrick (08 August 2014)

We have stayed in many cottages but this was the best. Brian from Lincoln (28 December 2013)
Extremely comfortable, well-equipped holiday cottage. perfect for visiting the north norfolk coast. Gill from Framlingham (25 October 2013)
Had a lovely week, with the added bonus of excellent weather. The welcome that awaited us was exceptional, and we really appreciated the very high standard of comfort provided. Have marked the location down slightly, as there is not really room to park 'off road' and the neighbour was less than enthusiastic about our parking outside his property. Adequate parking on the opposite side of the road, although the agricultural vehicles which trundle through the village from dawn to dusk, whilst adding to the rural atmosphere, left a covering of dust on the car every night. Clive from Worthing (19 Jul 2013)
Old salts barn provided everything we required for our holiday and was very comfortable. Roy from Halstead, Essex (12 Jul 2013)
Careful attention to detail by the owners. Everything we could possibly need was thought of. An excellent place for a relaxing holiday. Mary from Gosport (28 Jun 2013)

Wonderful welcome pack. Everything you need when on holiday to hand/provided, even for pet owners. owners very friendly & helpful, especially if you happen to leave something behind!! Duncan from Robertsbridge (29 March 2013)
The good points where that there was "no bad points". we thoroughly enjoyed our week stay there, big bonus was the bluebell pub about 20 paces away.this is where we enjoyed our main meal of the evening on 6 evenings and was able to take the dogs in with us. Helen from Wirral (08 March 2013)
We had a lovely relaxing holiday at old salts barn and were made to feel very welcome. It was nice to arrive to home made cake etc after our long journey and a lovely valentines gift. The barn was very clean and comfy and we were not too far from the local beach and a visit to see the seals. A stay at this holiday home is highly recommended. Nichola from Cambridgeshire (15 February 2013)
Good space for two: fab wide bed; kitchen well equipped, . nice place for coming bad when in cold weather outside Arnz from Nottingham (28 December 2012)
It is nicely furnished and well equipped with nice little extra touches of a welcome pack. Maureen from Braintree (16 November 2012)
The Old Salts Barn was very comfortable and cosy. We really liked the super king sized zip and linked bed and we are thinking of buying one for ourselves. The welcome pack was certainly delicious with the home made jam and clotted cream. When we holiday in a cottage we usually take all the basics (washing liquid, cloths, bleach, etc) but all these were provided. I know it might be a quibble but a dishwasher would would have been the icing on the cake. Customer 55 (October 2012)
The cottage was very well equiped, spacious, warm and comfortable - it was a little gem. Jan from Leeds (14 September 2012)
This was the best holiday cottage we have stayed in - the little touches left by the owner were super (scones, strawberries, cream - even biscuits for our dog). Would love to stay again even though we have visited Norfolk many times. The local pub was 3 doors away and made us very welcome. Customer 57 (September 2012)
The property was lovely we have a brilliant time. It was better than we thought. The scone, jam, eggs and bread was a lovely thing and we can’t wait to go again soon. Customer 58 (June 2012)
