Great cottage ideal touring base Jane from Shrewsbury (15 October 2016)
Lovely place to stay everything we need was in apartment. Location good, access to a lot of beauty spots would recommend carn brea as we could take our dog with us weather was good as well Confirmed Guest from Gosport (25 June 2016)
Great holiday home, would return! Hannah from Winchester (12 September 2015)
We enjoyed our stay here despite the bad weather for the second half of the week. Location is great - 15 minutes to the north coast and half an hour to the lizard so we had a couple of lovely days at godrevy and kynance cove. the play equipment and the field gave our five-year old somewhere to play safely with children staying in the other lets. there's not much of a view from this let, but there's a great view from the field of the monument and surrounding area and you can take a drink or eat on the picnic table up there. the let is well laid out with a decent-sized kitchen and bathroom and enough storage for two adults and a child. We'd recommend staying here to a couple or a family with a young child looking for a well-located, modern and reasonably-priced place to stay. Mike from Cirencester (22 August 2015)
Cottage was very small, in drab post industrial surroundings, with derelict mining buildings dotted around, in an area not particularly attractive to holidaymakers. the only redeeming feature was that it was centrally placed for all parts of cornwall to be within easy reach. the barn had been converted into 5 pokey units, when 4 more spacious units would have been more appropriate. . . there was a gap above the bedroom doors, presumably to aid airflow around the house (there were just 2 windows and a door at the front),but meant that there was no quiet area within the cottage, and also meant that teddy bears could be lobbed from the top bunk into the kitchen and lounge area!. . furniture, bedlinen and towels, although all clean, were clearly lower end cheap stuff. kitchen was lacking basic equipment such as baking trays, however the oven was excellent, and the bathroom was of a good quality. the owners were obviously more interested in ensuring a high resale value than providing facilities that was commensurate with the charges that they levied to guests. . the yokels in the next property decided to have a party one evening, with the bass tones reverberating around the children's bedroom. I asked them at 1230 am to turn the sound down, which they did for 5 minutes, then went back to original levels until past 2 am. . there is obviously on-going work at the premises as building materials and equipment were dotted about. . . the owners clearly a) don't holiday in self catering accommodation, and b) don't have any children. If they did, then they would appreciate the facilities that one expects when paying a not insignificant sum for a week's holiday. Rhys from Aberystwyth (16 August 2014)
