A lovely place for a quiet break, made to feel welcome by the owner. Customer 1 from March (04 May 2017)
It is more for younger people a great for a base for visiting the area . sloping ceiling in bedroom was a problem for me but we managed otherwise it was ok very quiet. Carol from Ulverston (18 March 2017)
Well equipped & very clean compact cottage set in a lovely village. Close to a pub just under 10mins walk & a very welcoming golf club that sells snacks & lovely cake to all! Lisa from Leicester (15 July 2016)
The cottage is well thought out and is "compact" and cosy but is actually very small and upstairs you can only stand in the middle of the room. there is little space for meal preparation. it is situated near to a main road, which cannot be heard in the cottage with the door closed but is very evident in the garden. denver is a lovely village with a friendly pub, post office, etc. We have stayed in lots of self catering properties and think that this one is over priced for the lack of space that it offers. Lyn from St Albans (30 May 2016)
Ideal for a short stay Linda from Peterborough (18 March 2016)
Mini cottage served as a lovely getaway from the city for my girlfriend and I over a long weekend. The name is certainly well grounded in reality, and for a longer stay or any more than two people it could be a bit of a challenge, but for the two of us it was perfectly sized and wonderfully cosy! it had everything we needed in terms of equipment and we were made very comfortable by our hosts, who were accomodating with check in times and provided a few core essentials, as well as giving us a good overview of the area. The location is lovely and remote, but downham market was easily accessible by foot. All in all, a great bolthole for a long weekend in the country! Martin from London (14 February 2016)
Lovely setting, quiet location, adequate size for two people for a short break. . friendly welcome upon arrival. . perfect for a real country retreat away from the city. . would definitely book and stay again. Andrea from Broadstairs Kent (27 September 2015)
We found the cottage perfect for us. Although small it had just about everything you would need. The location is great as it is nearby to various sightseeing places and attractions. We would . definitely go again if we wanted the same area. Wendy from Chesterfield (19 September 2015)
Had a lovely stay at the mini cottage - the cottage was really compact but perfect for a long weekend! the hosts were very friendly and accommodating too. The cottage is a short walk (10 min) to the local pub and post office, but if you want to go further afield then you probably need a car. Helen from Hertfordshire (31 August 2015)
Although situated in a very pleasant location with very nice owners the property was a bit cramped - mini cottage is an apt description. It was quite romantic having to crawl into bed because of the limited height of the upstairs roof, although it was possible to stand upright in the centre at the bottom of the bed. Terry from Fleet, Hampshire (15 August 2015)
We had a great time at mini cottage. Confirmed Guest (28 June 2015)
Cosy, quiet and very pleasant. Sheila from Dartford (16 May 2015)
Very much as shown - small and cosy even in february (especially after central heating problem solved!) Dee from Uxbridge (21 February 2015)
This is a mini cottage indeed, but that was just what we were expecting and it is very good value for money. It was just the right size for two of us and a dog and whilst there were one or two things that would improve it a little, these are small things and they did not affect our overall stay (and we have mentioned them to the owner). just be aware that the bedroom does have low eaves, but once you get used to it, it is very cosy. and whilst there isn't a 'proper' oven, the combi-microwave and mini hob were ample for our needs and we managed meals without a problem. Keeping things simple means there is more time to enjoy the countryside! we can also recommend the downham fryer for really good fish and chips. . there was a welcoming tea tray when we arrived at mini cottage and the owners, who live next door, were extremely helpful. The large garden was good for walking the dog and the owners allowed us to pick fruit from their orchard to take home. . . the cottage was a good base for a weekend exploring the area and the north norfolk coast and there are some lovely walks in the immediate area and a visit to the mill and cafe is recommended. Ann from London (28 August 2014)
Very nice location owners very helpfull and freindly needs a little more attention to it ie there is no oven if you need to cook or roast and having joint problems having a lot of problems getting in and out of bed Nigel from Wadworth Nr Doncaster S , Yorks (28 June 2014)
Petitte but not practical. Preparing a simple meal was nearly impossible, washing up hopeless and the bannister in bedroom dangerous. Not able to stand up in the bedroom. Heating and hot water not existent. Came home day early. James from Norwicxh (11 April 2014)
It was much too small was ok if you were a midget not one of our best choices. Very disappointed as it was our wedding anniversary and we just wanted a short break a couple of nights away from it all. But came home early the next day in fact much too small. Lynn from Luton Bedfordshire (11 November 2013)
Convenient for our needs nice location best for a short rather than long stay as it really is small. nice owners Confirmed Purchaser from Wells (13 September 2013)
Very compact.if you want to be able to swing the proverbial cat, then it's not for you. However, there is everything you need for a couple of nights break down a wonderfully secluded lane in a delightful village. How the ownts all that equipment and local information in such a small space is amazing! Allan from Dewsbury (09 September 2013)
If you wish to remove yourself from the electronic world and enjoy your surroundings, this cottage is ideal. Perfect location for dog walks. Pub, shop and flour producing mill all within easy walking distance. Owners are friendly, welcoming but not intrusive. I plan to return. Tracey from Norwich (19 August 2013)
We had a lovely break at mini cottage! it really is mini! but had everything we needed. The lovely owners are next door, and were really responsive to anything we requested. My husband, whippet & I had a great weekend! Christine from London (04 August 2013)
The location is very good for visiting the region. It is at the end of a country lane so there is no noise which is absolutely fantastic as very relaxing and peaceful. The garden area is very nice to have a drink or breakfast. When we arrived there was a tray with some scones and all necessary for a cup of tea which was a very thoughtful gesture. The bedroom has a comfortable bed. Corinne from New Barnet (02 Jun 2013)
A beautiful setting for a very sweet and cosy cottage, nicely presented. Laura from Shipley (27 May 2013)
Good location for sightseeing. Customer 24 from Havant (25 August 2012)
The cottage was very small but this only addede to our enjoyment as it was so cosy. Customer 25 (May 2012)
Beautiful cottage, perfect for a weekend away. Very welcoming hostess. Ideal quiet location. Customer 26 (March 2012)
Very pretty but small, all facilities very nice to use. In very nice village with friendly people. Customer 27 (March 2012)
Although the cottage was a little small it was well laid out and had everything we needed. The owner and her daughter were extremely helpful and in no way intrusive. They suggested places to visit and recommended a very nice pub which was within walking distance. Customer 28 (October 2011)
A delightful cottage to spend a weekend break. Very cosy and quiet as well as being a good place to go walking in the countryside from. The village itself is friendly and the local, nearby pub served good, well priced food in a welcoming atmosphere. The village itself is situated near to other small and large towns which were worth a visit. Customer 29 (October 2011)
Enjoyed my stay. Very quiet location. Hosts were welcoming, (tea supplies, milk, and a breakfast pastry on arrival). Customer 30 (June 2011)
Good location - the weather was much colder than we had expected and we weren’t sure how to best use the heater. Also although the pictures of the property were accurate I don’t think we were quite prepared for how low the ceiling in the bedroom was. Customer 31 (May 2011)
Very clean and welcoming, the owners had left coffee and milk etc for us and welcomed us as we arrived. They also called round later that evening to check that we were ok. Customer 32 (November 2010)
Beautifully kept, compact accommodation for the perfect weekend away for two. Customer 33 (April 2010)
It was very clean and tidy. Lovely finishing touches, eg pictures of local scenes taken by the owner of the property. Customer 34 (March 2010)
