I have given the owner a week to respond to our complaint before posting this review as I believe in giving people the opportunity. the barn itself is lovely with good appliances and comfortable bedding. however, there is no telephone signal which is fine if the advertised wifi was available. we arrived and went to tesco and called as the router was not working. we called the cleaning company who promptly called back to advise that there was a lightning strike and the router would be replaced during the week. the router was not replaced when we left after 7 days. I specifically selected accommodation which had wifi. then we also had no hot water fom the fri to the monday. this is a working farm and to get a text advising that we were to top up the central heating boiler is really unacceptable. due to signalling issues I didn't get this until the monday. there was also an issue with the oil. my in laws are in their 70s and thus did put a dampener on our holiday as they had to take freezing cold showers. we were put back to the owner for which we have received no response nor any return in our money. I could easily have selected 10 other properties which had wifi and also I would hope hot running water. Joanne from Glasgow (28 July 2017)
Beautiful spacious barn in a lovely quiet location. home from home. Michele from Haywards Heath (21 July 2017)
There are a couple of minor maintenance issues, but generally this cottage is even better than the photos on the website. It provides everything that you could want for a holiday in this area. David from Barnsley (09 June 2017)
This was our second stay at the barn. my friends so enjoyed it last year that their wanted to return. Joan from Norwich (03 October 2016)
Nice barn everything you could think of and needed but was disappointed in the cleanliness .first impression was good until the evening when the lights were on , the ceilings and walls were covered in spiders and webs. Every room was over run with them, we had to hoover throughout and more appeared from behind furniture so we had to pull out beds and furniture and clean thick dust and spiders away. The barn at first sight looked cleaned but obviously never deep cleaned and the kitchen was also the same especially the ceiling was overrun as were the cupboards . after having a good clean throughout we had a lovely time . Annette from Great Yarmouth (30 September 2016)
Really comfortable and spacious accommodation, had a great week and thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Only downsides would be the slightly noisy heating, and having a highchair available would be a big help for families with young children. Peter from York (23 September 2016)
Love this place! have been here several times before and will be coming back again in the future. Wendy from Eastbourne (26 August 2016)
Absolutely beautiful cottage, beautifully furnished with all appliances new and modern. Thoroughly enjoyed our break. . the cottage is quite rural with the nearest town being 20mjns by car. Caroline from London (12 August 2016)
Lovely accommodation, pretty view and we liked the outside space where the children enjoyed watching the birds and other wildlife. Well thought out in terms of facilities and equipment. Although very close to a road we found it very quiet and it was private although there were two other holiday homes either side. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to others. The welcome pack was a nice touch. Many thanks. Sarah from South Yorkshire (05 August 2016)
A lovely barn conversion! my friends and I had a very relaxing stay here over the easter weekend. We were greeted on arrival with very clean and comfortable accomodation and to top it all off, a bottle of wine! . . whilst the barn is situated in a very remote area, the views are gorgeous and we explored some of the scenery by going for a chilled out stroll. The local taxi firm were also very friendly and helpful when we didn't fancy driving out in the evening. . would definitely stay again Sarah from Lincolnshire (28 March 2016)
Very warm and comfortable. extremely well furnished and equipped did suggest that grab rails were fitted in shower and bathroom. a good welcome pack was waiting for us too. Confirmed Guest (19 October 2015)
This picture of this property does not do it justice. it is a lovely barn, well equipped to a high standard. Everything you could possibly need is there. My friends and I would definitely stay there again. Joan from Norwich (12 October 2015)
We had a wonderful stay at the barn and will definitely go back. The quality of the furnishings is exceptional and the location is great - our one year old loved walking around in the safe courtyard garden and feeding the ducks in the pond. The only thing that needs to be fixed before it gets worse is the dampness/mould in the en suite - we actually chose not to use it by the end of the holiday as the smell was so bad. Customer 13 from Harpenden (25 September 2015)
The perfect bolt hole for a family holiday with young children. . . the beds were really comfortable and the whole place was spotless and really well equipped with everything you need with the exception of a high-chair and travel cot, but we had our own. . . with two toddlers we found it very safe being all on one level. . perfect for visiting holt, cromer, mundesley and the north norfolk railway from holt to sheringham. Customer 14 from Sutton Coldfield (18 September 2015)
Very pleased with mere farm barns, lovely quiet surroundings, this place is near perfect, the decor was very well suited, beds are very comfortable, the only two things we found a little disappointing, was the underfloor heating didn't quite do it's job, and the shower screen leaks, so it has a damp spot at the bottom, apart from that we really enjoyed the stay here. Ian from Woodbridge. Suffolk (11 September 2015)
We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay here, excellent accommodation and a great base for exploring other places around the area. Kevin from Bedford (31 August 2015)
We had a wonderful week at mere farm barns. We have three children and the accommodation was perfect. Clean, spacious and beautifully presented with high spec decoration and all the equipment from pots and pans to the appliances and even the table tennis table were of a very high standard. We were in close proximity to holt, brancaster and experienced lovely meals out even though the weather was less than kind. We would highly recommend the barns to families and hope to return again. Helen from Lowestoft (28 August 2015)
One of the best holidays we've had. Lovely location, beautiful cottage. No problems at all. Well equipped other than the second double bedroom would have benefited from a mirror and maybe a small wardrobe. Would definitely stay again. Eileen from North Wales (07 August 2015)
Really peaceful location, great wildlife. Dave from Herts (27 June 2015)
We were delighted with mere farm barns. however, one reason for choosing it was that it seemed suitable for our elderly mother who uses a wheelchair. the inside was ideal for that but the entrances had steps which weren't so good. it was tastefully decorated & furnished and very comfortable with a lovely garden. the only complaint was that the water would suddenly stop and wouldn't come back for 15-20 minutes. this happened twice in the morning when we were in the shower or the bath! Rosemary from Elm, Wisbech (05 June 2015)
Beautiful property in lovely location. so many brilliant places to visit. we've been 3 times and we still haven't done everything we'd like to yet! lovely little garden, very peaceful place to listen to the birds. very comfortable and very special place. Wendy from Eastbourne (10 April 2015)
Fantastic accommodation - would definitely recommend to others. Andrea from Ipswich (31 October 2014)
Everything was clean, great location, very relaxing!. the only things we wanted extra was information about fishing on the lake, hair dryer and toilet rolls!! the rest was perfect!;) Jennifer from Hucknall, Nottingham (26 September 2014)
Blissful location if you don't want anyone to contact you. No mobile signal at barn, even walking around as suggested; this was not an issue for me as I was with my mother! the accommodation is simply lovely and the garden an absolute joy; it must be south-ish facing as it was wonderfully sunny and the sun shone! such a great base to visit holt, wells-next-sea, sheringham, fakenham, north walsham..all wonderful. I certainly hope to return. Jan from Cambridgeshire (12 September 2014)
