We have always loved our holidays in this lovely house.roomy, comfortable, perfect location and a fantastic pool as the icing on the cake. We are due back again next year and hope the weather is just as good and we all enjoy ourselves as much as we did this year. Michael from Norwich (07 July 2017)
Wow what a stunning place to stay - the pool made it!! we went in a party of 12, with 6 grandchildren in tow, for our annual easter get together and we all agreed that this was one of the best easter holidays we have ever had. The heated indoor swimming pool was the overriding big hit for the grandchildren and they had tremendous fun in it from waking up up to going to sleep. They said it was just like being abroad without having to bother to hop on a plane - the pool room was heated wonderfully and the pool water temperature was over 30 degrees - so just like being at the med in mid summer!. . this area of norfolk is an absolute treasure, with so much to keep the kids amused (once we managed to drag them away from the pool). old hunstanton beach, with it's golden fine sandy beach and surrounding sand dunes was their favourite and whilst the adults kipped on the beach the grandchildren dug away in the dunes creating cavernous holes as they tried to dig down to australia!. . will we come again - you guessed right - we sure will!! Vas from Leek (21 April 2017)
We had a great week at the house, enjoying the pool most days and visiting norfolk attractions. there was plenty to do and some amazing places to eat nearby. Kate from Milton Keynes (07 April 2017)
A super house to enjoy a family reunion for new year celebrations..excellent golf facilities locally and of course the pool. Sandra from Bracknell (04 January 2017)
Overall a great holiday, however two of the beds were very uncomfortable and made sleeping difficult, not good on what should have been a relaxing holiday. Pool and snooker table well used and enjoyed by all 3 generations of the family. We enjoyed 10 pin bowling and a seal trip from hunstanton. Lin from Hertfordshire (28 October 2016)
We made some amazing family memories. ... . . great for three generations of family to be under one roof. Karen from Corringham Essex (26 August 2016)
A great house, with a fantastic pool which the whole family enjoyed. Lots of room, and plenty of bathrooms. Well equipped, pretty much everything you need in the kitchen. Only negative is the beds, we found them almost universally uncomfortable, some new mattresses needed! Caroline from Marple (19 August 2016)
Another brilliant holiday in matai house. Confirmed Guest (22 July 2016)
Wonderful house. Everything we wanted and more. Ten people fitted very comfortably. bedding clean and comfortable and overall cleanliness great. weather poor but the amazing pool made up for that. nearly all of us enjoyed the pool and it was in use several times a day. the housekeeper was extremely helpful and kind and we felt that no concern was too much to handle. We hope to return in the future. Susan from London (03 June 2016)
This is an excellent property especially the swimming pool Sheila from Chipping Norton (06 May 2016)
A great time had by all the family from eldest to youngest ( 70 - 5). would certainly. Recommend to family and friends. Swimming pool certainly made the holiday for all ages. Children didn't want to leave house which was lovely and big so plenty of space for . everyone no treading on each others toes. excellent. Frances from Harlow Essex (19 February 2016)
Great place & perfect for family entertaining. Swimming pool was fantastic & owners on hand to help with any queries such as working oven, heating etc. . the only reason we didn't give a higher score for comfort was because some of the beds were a bit lumpy/hard, particularly downstairs bedroom which was a shame as disabled aunt had to stay in there. Although not a problem for our stay due to dark morning but could imagine a nightmare in the summer, front right bedroom as you look at house had a very see through blind on one of the windows which in summer would let in a lot of light very early in the morning. Michelle from Woking (28 December 2015)
Lovely house. Good location, only improvement would be if it was closer to beach. The addition of a hot tub would be the icing on a cake. Caron from West Midlands (02 October 2015)
Another lovely holiday with some of our family, although the weather wasn,t perfect having a good pool made up for that.we saw the most beautiful sunsets 6 nights out of the seven we were there.altogether a lovely holiday. Thelma from Coventry (11 September 2015)

The pool was very well used and gave hours of fun and enjoyment. we can recommend pensthorpe bird santuary and the new sealife in hunstanton. The staff their were very knowledgeable and helpful to visitors. we highly recommend visiting matai house. Eileen from Lincoln (26 June 2015)
Excellent house for all the family to stay together. Lots of things to do in surrounding area plus the bonus of the pool. Totally recommend. Janet from Bracknell (17 April 2015)
All we could have wished for to celebrate my 70th birthday with all the family James from Skegness (27 March 2015)
The house size was perfect but could perhaps benefit from a little updating of appliances for the benefit of having 12 people. The pool was a great bonus especially for the time of year. Confirmed Purchaser (04 January 2015)
We were only there for 3 days but we all had a fantastic time, we all loved the pool, very homely and everything we needed was there. Plenty of things to do for the whole family, rain or shine. Rachel from Colchester, Essex (03 November 2014)

The sofas were not very comfortable but the beds and equipment were fantastic. Had to pay £15 for wifi I think this should have been included. Perfect position. Susie from Essex (01 August 2014)
A wonderful holiday was had by our family of 8 ranging from 23 years to 84 years. the pool was a hugh success and one of our party learnt to swim. The downstairs bedroom and toilet was perfect for our disabled family member. we would recommend snettisham park and for a great day out the pensthorpe bird sanctuary. A big thankyou to the owners for answering our queries before we booked. The wine, biscuits and tea making equipment on arrival was most welcome. We will recommend matai house to all our friends. The property was everything we were led to expect from the brochure. The pool was very popular with the younger members of the party. It was suggested by some members of the family that a hot tub would be an added attraction! Customer 35 (August 2011)
As a family of eleven, all three generations really enjoyed our holiday. We made good use of the pool and even our one non swimmer, was swimming before we came home, very comfy and homely, and plenty of things to do in the area, loved it. Customer 36 (August 2011)
Very clean and roomy. Swimming pool is excellent. Customer 37 (April 2011)
The pool was a great size and the water warm enough for all ages; from 20 month old to over 60’s. We had good entertainment in-house via the dining table/pool table and there was an excellent chef nearby who came to cook our celebration dinner- and clear up after. Brilliant! Customer 38 (June 2010)
Matai Country House is a very clean, comfortable, well equipped property. The benefit of the attached swimming pool and an enclosed rear garden was fantastic, coupled with accepting one dog was just what we needed. Customer 39 (April 2010)
Spacious accommodation, well looked after, clean and comfortable. Lots of bathrooms ideal for large family party. Pool was very nice. Customer 40 (March 2010)
A very high standard of accommodation. Lovely furnishings and very high quality facilities. Customer 41 (December 2009)
It was all it was made out to be. The description of the setting was incorrect, as the farm is now a 4 star hotel and mention should be made of the NEW 18 hole, 7000 yard Heacham Golf course, as this will increase the market for the property. "Overlooking the golf course" to most people who know this area, they would assume a holiday pitch & putt. Customer 42 (November 2009)
For a large family group this property is fantastic, not only does it have a swimming pool but also a snooker table. Plenty of room for 12 people. The location is fantastic. We had a fantastic holiday even though it rained most of the week. Customer 43 (July 2009)
Rooms very clean and well decorated. Brilliant Pool. Good time had by all. Customer 44 (April 2009)
Fantastic spacious house with a great pool, superb size bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, great garden and large driveway. Perfect for all the adults and children in our party - it comes highly recommended; we will be going back ourselves! Customer 45 (November 2008)
Lovely house, beautiful setting, great pool. Customer 46 (May 2008)
We were celebrating a ’special’ birthday with family and friends and this property was perfect. A big bonus was the heated pool which served to entertain the guests of all ages. Customer 47 (November 2007)
