We stayed at manor cottage for a short honeymoon with our 4 year old boy and jack russel for four nights. The location is fantastic; located in the quieter end of the village but with great links to the coastal road that runs the length of the beautiful north norfolk coastline. The cottage itself is enclosed by gates either side so we were happy to allow the dog to explore the cottage grounds safely, the interior of the cottage could do with some cosmetic updating but it is not shabby just characterful. The kitchen area has all useable appliances/ utensils and was well cleaned prior to our arrival along with the rest of the cottage. Our four-year old son found his bed to be extremely comfortable although we found ours to be overly soft (which is purely personal preference). the noise of the boiler can be a little intrusive at night as it fills and heats itself up, but we are both light sleepers so don't put too much credence on this. The tv signal can be a little erratic but given the cottages location you can easily forgive this. Overall manor cottage is a well kept characterful little gem that is ideally located for exploring north norfolk. Richard &Amp; Sarah from Ipswich (21 July 2017)
Unfortunately we were unable to use the small single room as it smelt of damp/urine and the cottage as a whole cottage was pretty dirty. The kitchen lacks basics such as a draining area, which is required since there is no dishwasher and it could also do with an extractor fan. The whole place is a tad tired and could do with updating. On the positive side the wifi works well and it is great to have access to a swimming pool and tennis court and the outside area is nice as is the village, although it takes a lot longer than 10 minutes to walk to the sea. Donna from London (07 July 2017)
Very nice cottage and location the kitchen was very shabby not very clean William from Norwich (30 June 2017)
We and our friends absolutely loved our stay at manor cottage. Gorgeous rooms, comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen meant that we spent a large amount of our time at the cottage and exploring the local area. The village is beautiful, quiet and has a great pub as well as walks for the dog and a play area for children. Definitely will be returning at some point in the future! Veronica from Brentwood (23 June 2017)
The cottage and location was very pleasant and restful. However the kitchen utensils and cooking equipment are long overdue for renewal. Non-stick pans are no longer non-stick, mismatched crockery (including approx. 20 ramakins??). kitchen drawers contained hand me down implements that would not normally be used by holiday makers. The large screen tv was wasted due to the appalling reception, a sky dish and freesat box would cure this instantly. Frank from Leeds (16 June 2017)
Manor cottage was peaceful and relaxing, which is just what we wanted. It was also ideally located to explore the wells to sheringham area of the norfolk coast. Jayne from Northamptonshire (19 May 2017)
Manor cottage is a lovely place to stay and is dog friendly which was good for us. . the village has a great pub and village shop/cafe where you can get the essentials. . the location at stiffkey is ideal for getting to all the best places north norfolk has to offer. . we would definitely book again. Jeremy from South Lincolnshire (20 January 2017)
We arrived at 4pm and the house was freezing it took 2 days for it to warm up storage heaters i'm moist roomns hgad not been switched on. Noi hot water as emersion heater also switched off. The answer from the owner when she called around on the afternoon the next day was remember to shut kitchen door as no heating in there. The cooker wassi old it took over an hour to heat up and knobs oin hotplate so warn you didn't knoiw what number they were on. The toilet sit was hanging off. the cottage was furnished well most crockery still had labels on. We love norfolk and stay in cottages there at least 3 times a year at nearly 900 for a small cold cottage this was not good value for money and this time we won't be recommending it to friends as we normally do. Sarah from Rothersthorpe (04 January 2017)
Very comfortable cottage, thankyou. Confirmed Guest (19 November 2016)
Lovely village and surrounding area, nice and peaceful. Cottage was comfortable however certain things needed updating such as the kitchen and its equipment. Loo seat was not attached properly, shower not very powerful and leaked. Also cottage advertised for 5 people when we arrived only plates, bowls and table setting for 4! Confirmed Guest (29 October 2016)
Nice cottage in a good location with a pleasant local pub and shop Gary from Basingstoke (01 October 2016)
The location was great and so was the property externally. Just a shame they did not maintain it. Just because we take dogs does not mean people should accept less than clean accommodation. Elizabeth from Chesterfield (17 September 2016)
