This is a lovely property which has been carefully refurbished in a very stylish manner. the kitchen is very well equiped on a home from from basis. on arrival we found the whole property very clean and well prepared with an excellent instruction pack. for part of the week we had a full house with six people and the whole thing worked really well for us. the first floor lounge is very comfortable and was a great place chill after a days outing or after dinner. if there is one thing I would change (only because we are a family that showers) I would have had another shower in the main bathroom. however, we managed with the shower on the top floor by early risers making sure they used the shower to prevent a queue. certainly would not have a problem recommending this property as we had a great week. Peter from Cheshire (28 April 2017)
The house is cosy and in a good central location within cley. in the end there were only three of us staying in the house, which was comfortable - had all five people who originally intended to stay turned up, I think the house would have felt very crowded. the first floor with the snug lounge and statement bathroom is very pleasant and spacious, but the top floor is quite cramped, particularly for anyone who is not a hobbit. The house sleeps six people, and in those circumstances having just one fairly cramped shower is insufficient. as there were just three of us, we managed ok. Jennifer from Peterborough (14 April 2017)
Good cottage but parking could be a bit of a problem as we were not allowed in the lane opposite as mentioned in the description Ann from Epping (21 October 2016)
Really enjoyed our stay here. Cottage is very well stocked - crockery, glasses, cutlery, cooking utensils and appliances - all excellent quality. Décor too was so tasteful - lovely rooms and bedrooms. we loved the artwork and sculptures around the place. Seemed like no expense spared. plenty of storage too. Julia from Bury (07 October 2016)
Good holiday in spite of unreliable weather Derek from West Malling (01 July 2016)
A lovely property in the picturesque village of cley. the property is comfortable and extremely well equipped, especially the kitchen. Patricia from Fife (24 June 2016)
We had a lovely time in this pretty, comfortable and warm house. We stayed at easter, which turned out to be freezing cold and rather wet and were very snug. We enjoyed the view towards the sea and loved the velox windows in the bedroom - lying in bed looking up at the stars and moon was great. The house is well equipped, the beds are comfy. We would certainly stay there again. One small issue - parking is not always easy in cley and the neighbours opposite are very active in stopping anyone from parking in the land opposite the house. We had a notice put on our car within a couple of minutes of arriving! Elisabeth from London (01 April 2016)
Really lovely cottage with a touch of luxury. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. High quality linens, towels, kitchen equipment etc. Location perfect for exploring the area and cley offers a great pub, a wonderful village shop and tea rooms. Would definitely return. Georgina from Tonbridge (19 February 2016)
We stayed at maison du quai for a short break in january. the cottage is in a great position a stones throw from the windmill and the costal path - and next door but one to the pub! we had no problems parking in the lane opposite but the village hall (a 5 minute walk) also has a big car park. the cottage is clearly a second home for the owners and not just a holiday let as it is beautifully furnished and equipped, really comfy bed and sofas and the log burner was wonderful. the wi-fi was quick and worked well although mobile signal there is intermittant (not necessarily a bad thing!) cley next the sea is a lovely village and we shopped in the deli and smokehouse, both delicious, and both pubs have good food and well kept ales. the shower upstairs is quite 'bijou' and could be a challenge for taller people but was fine for us - great water pressure too. we did feel that the cottage was a little pricey but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kim from York (08 January 2016)
The cottage is lovely - warm, beautifully furnished and thoughtfully equipped with everything one could need for a relaxing stay. cley is wonderfully situated for walking, birdwatching and eating out. we recommend it very highly - and hope to book it again. Madeline from Cambridge (27 December 2015)
Fabulous, comfortable cottage, well equipped and well furnished. Would definitely stay here again. Kevin from Whitstable, Kent (13 November 2015)
Lovely cottage, well furnished and spacious enough for 6. really enjoyed our time there and it's well placed for the surrounding coastline and attractions, never more than 30 mins from anything so we could make the most of each day. would definitely stay there again it's such a lovely property. . parking is a challenge especially when unloading or loading all your luggage but otherwise never a big problem and there's little that can be done about it due to the location. . my one minor complaint is the description you receive regarding accessing the keys on arrival, could be much simpler. we spent half an hour searching in the middle of the night that could have been avoided with some simpler and clearer instructions. Jim from Selby (30 October 2015)
The house itself is amazing, beautifully furnished and superbly equipped. You will not need to take any additional supplies! the welcome pack was unexpected and wonderful. The only fly in the ointment was the parking, which is non existent. It can be very difficult to park in high season, and getting through the village is a nightmare. none of that can be changed though! the cost of the house is expensive, but given the furnishings, it's probably fair. Thanks for an amazing stay x Helen from Doncaster (14 August 2015)
We had a great week in this lovely cottage. Very comfortable and welcoming. Elaine from Horsham (07 August 2015)
