My partner, 15 year old stepson and I stayed over the easter weekend (2017) arriving friday afternoon and leaving monday morning. The cottage was perfectly clean on arrival and has everything in terms of pots, pans and cutlery, kitchen equipment and furnishings that you could possibly want. It is a comfy and homely little cottage situated in the heart of flamborough with a lovely wood burning stove in the living room and a plentiful supply of wood in the outhouse. It is part of an old fisherman's terrace with a living room and kitchen on the ground floor, double bedroom and bath/shower room on the first floor and twin bedroom on the second the shops (including a coop, pharmacy and post office), take-aways and pubs are within a 3 minute walk and the coast path is a 30 minute walk across fields on public footpaths or on pavements at the side of the road. The only slight inconvenience was that the garden is separated from the cottage by a communal walkway so we couldn't let the dog outside unsupervised. . we spent a lovely 3 nights in lobster cottage, can thoroughly recommend it for it's lovely 'home from home' feel and will definitely be returning. Many thanks. Dave from Derby (17 April 2017)
The cottage was fine, nice and cosy especially when the fire was lit. Location perfect for filey bridlington scarborough and whitby. Just one or two things to mention, the sofa and chair was ok if you wanted to recline, not for people who suffered with a bad back, we had to bring pillows down from the bed for a bit of support. The other downside for us was that we had to park outside a working men's club, this was suggested in the letter we received, and carry all our luggage etc. Down a ginnel, we didn't realise that there wasn't parking outside, we had our car scuffed on the first night so we decided to park anywhere but for there. All in all we would stay at lobster cottage again and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Gary from Yorkshire (01 April 2017)
The cottage had everything we needed clean and well equipped the only downside was double bed very uncomfortable Angela from Lewes East Sussex (19 March 2016)
Nice clean cosy cottage situated in the heart of flamborough. Roger from Sheffield (07 November 2015)
Lovely cottage ideally placed near the local amenities. Also easily access to major routes, whitby, bridlington, hull etc. A few minor issues need addressing to make the cottage a more comfortable, home from home experience (double bed and living room sofa n chairs). with these improved I would recommend to friends for future use. Local pubs have wonderful atmospheres, friendly people and food. Local lighthouse is definitely worth a visit!! Lee from Peterborough (31 October 2015)
Did not find the down stairs furniture very comfortable and the bed matress was past its sell by date. Every thing else was of a good to high standed Keith from Milford Haven Wales (26 September 2015)
A comfortable, warm & cosy cottage. the cottage was dog friendly which is very important to us. in the heart of the village which has a good little co-op supermarket where we could get everything we needed. The pubs are dog friendly too & there is even a coffee shop that allows dogs & provides a doggie treat. We would stay at the cottage again. Janette from Birmingham (23 May 2015)
All ok apart from nsh (night storage heaters). not efficient enough. . Harold from Leeds (07 February 2015)
Comfortable cottage, great walks and variety of beaches and cliffs Viv from Tiverton (01 November 2014)
Good location . quiet despite being in center of vllage Jackie from Doncaster (27 September 2014)
Lovely cottage.facilities in the village are excellent.good pubs offering good food at reasonable prices, all within 2 or 3 minutes walk.no noise problems in the cottage.all in all a very enjoyable holiday. John from Great Yarmouth (06 September 2014)
The cottage is cosy and homely and is equipped with everything we needed. The village is lovely with good local shops plus several pubs to chose from in which we had some very nice meals. We also some very tasty fish and chips (huge portions!) from the local chippy. The location of the village is brilliant for walks plus not too far to travel (in a car) to all the nearby sea-side resorts and the north yorkshire moors which is simply stunning. We had a wonderful week in lobster cottage and would most definitely visit again. June from Gloucester (28 June 2014)
This is a lovely cottage in the centre of flambrough. There are 4 food pubs within 200 yards. Also an enclosed sunny garden. The cottage is well equipped, clean and cosy. Ann from Sheffield (14 June 2014)
The cottage is dark and dingy and needs to be refurbished throughout with lighter bright furnishings. Slate floors very uneven and uncomfortable had to wear shoes downstairs. Spa bath broken with part on order so good luck if it arrives. Strange smell in cottage down stairs. Garden furniture in garden is picnic bench not as in photo's Gloria from Newcastle (26 April 2014)
A lovely well equipped cottage. Very quiet considering it was in the middle of the village. Within walking distance to lots of places to eat . and flamborough north and south landings both only a short walk from the cottage . a fantastic base for the whole area . would definitely come back to this cottage if visiting the area again. Sherolyn from Biddulph (24 August 2013)
Perfect size for the three of us, and - cant be determined by the booking- but a glorious week of sunshine. Great to have pubs beach and shops within easy walking distance Rachael from Long Eaton (11 August 2012)
Lobster Cottage is a very well kept and clean fisherman’s cottage. We had everything we needed and loved our holiday there. The owner was extremely helpful and made everything very easy for us. The cottage is right in the center of Flamborough but it was nevertheless very quiet. A small Co-Op shop was 5 minute away and several pubs with good food and drinks were also nearby. There is a very nasty review about this place on Tripadvisor. Having read that review and after staying a week in Lobster cottage the guy who wrote this review must have been to total different place as nearly everything is wrong in that review! Customer 17 (August 2012)
Good location for shops and pubs/eating establishments etc. Superb if you like walking and bird watching. I live close to the area but this is a good base to explore other resorts and places of interest. There is something for everyone not too far away. Customer 18 (May 2012)
Cottage comfortable and had everything we needed. Nice local pub to eat at that was dog friendly. Customer 19 (March 2011)

Very dog friendly. Customer 26 (February 2009)
Well equipped cosy cottage, warm and comfortable. Excellent base for a variety of activities. Customer 27 (September 2008)
The Cottage was in a very good location, central for visiting many attractions up and down the coast. It was very quiet at night even with the Victoria Club being very close by. For eating out we were spoilt for choice, everything was only a few minutes walk away and very good quality. Customer 28 (August 2007)
Lobster cottage is an unusual and charming fishermans terrace. it’s set between the two main streets, just a few steps from the shops and pubs The cottage was well appointed and very cosy with its wood burning stove. Flanborough is a beautiful part of england that we have never before visited, friendly and welcoming. We intend to to back in the spring. Customer 29 (October 2006)
The cottage had the best quality kitchen equipment that I have ever found in a holiday cottage. The situation was very peaceful and the accommodation extremely comfortable. Flamborough is an excellent choice for people who enjoy cliff walks and bird watching. Customer 30 (June 2006)
