A lovely cottage with lots of extras and a great heating system, but beware of the garage parking. When we got there workmen were at the other cottages and with the narrow entrance, dustbins and a tight turn we were unable to park and had to use the road. Customer 1 (03 March 2017)
Perfect family accommodation. We will defiantly stay again it was lovely x Jane from Cambridge (17 February 2017)
We enjoyed our stay in leeward cottage but we prefer to be closer to the quay. . parking in the garage proved a bit too tricky as it would have involved moving all the wheelie bins out of the way each time. we parked on the roadside and managed to get fairly close to the cottage. . we found the beds quite uncomfortable (too hard) and both suffered with bad backs for the first week. . . in spite of these minor niggles, everything you might need is provided. it is a pity that some guests do not clean the crockery properly!. . we would stay again, but it wouldn't be our first choice. Carol from Bedford (30 September 2016)
We really enjoyed put stay, the cottage is comfortable and well equipped. Not really suitable for six adults as the bunk beds area bit small, but otherwise very spacious. The shower was great! . only drawback for a family is there is no garden, but given its location there are plenty of places to sit out close by Kate from Cambridge (16 September 2016)
Wonderful cottage enjoyed by all. Kids loved the toy chest and board games. The welcome pack was a lovely gesture especially after a long drive and the cottage was beautifully clean. Location was great too. would definitely recommend and we will be staying again in the future. Amanda from Darlington (26 August 2016)
Very comfortable. Lovely cottage with everything we needed. The only negatives would be no washing line for drying wet towels and one of the sofas was a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, it was exactly what we wanted. Clean, close enough to the town, fully equipped. Very enjoyable stay. Confirmed Guest (12 August 2016)
Having a 4yr old with us we were pleased the cottage was so child friendly, the box of toys on the landing and the bathroom were lovely suprises. We would recommend darker curtains in the bunk bedroom, it gets light at 4am! was that time to get up! the cottage is in a quiet street but not to far to walk for the main hub of town. We loved the generous living room and large dining table, great fordoing the jigsaws and games that are available, with plenty of wine or pimms of course. Kate from Peterborough (15 July 2016)
The cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. It's in a perfect location for exploring wells and the north norfolk coast. Just a short stroll around the corner from the shops and quayside at wells. The tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival was a nice touch, as were the cupboards full of games for the kids to play when we'd done exploring each day. I'd definitely stay here again. Gareth from Notts (03 June 2016)
We had a fantastic week in wells next the sea. The cottage was excellent and meet all our expectations and the location was perfect. We would recommend staying here to anyone with or without kids who wants a holiday where you dont need the car all the time. Carol from Leatherhead (01 April 2016)
A very pleasant cottage very close to the buttlands and staithe street. A good base for a stay in wells. High street is a very quiet road- few cars or pedestrians. The cottage is modern but has a nice country feel to it. Hugh from Bury St Edmunds (15 February 2016)
An excellent house to stay in - location very good . the garage situation tricky but fortunately managed to park close to the house. the house was well equipped. Jean (18 September 2015)
We have stayed in leeward cottage on a number of occasions and it meets our requirements perfectly Confirmed Guest (28 August 2015)
We had a lovely holiday in wells. The cottage had lots of lovely extras, the toy box, games cupboard and dvd draw are a great idea. The kitchen is slightly cramped for a party of 6 and the lack of garden was the only downside. Clare from Leicester (14 August 2015)
For me having no garden was a problem it didn't mention there being no garden on the site but if your staying in a 3 bed house you assume it has a garden as most houses do. So would defenatly been helpful to advertise that it doesn't. . the squeaky floors upstairs made it unbearable & it did not feel like a comfy home. So I will not be returning to leeward cottage sorry. . also when I stripped the beds for the cleaner on the last day even though the bedding was crisp clean & lovely the mattress protecter was covered in stains & pubic hair. Clair from Bexhill On Sea East Sussex (07 August 2015)
This is a lovely cottage within easy walking distance of the quay, pubs and restaurants. the cottage is a good size and has all the facilities we expected and more. Wells-next-the-sea is a great village to stay with superb places to eat and drink and loads to do within a short distance from the village. Anthony from Hertford (10 April 2015)
Overall good experience Anthony from Brighton (28 December 2014)
A very cosy base for a long weekend walking parts of the norfolk coastal path. Had everything we needed, a short walk from the shops and the quayside, nice & quiet inside. Warm too! would definitely stay there again. Adrian from Burwell (10 November 2014)
Good location, close to main streets and quay etc., but there was absolutely no outside space; drying beach towels etc. In the summer would be a problem here. Tomasina from Coventry (26 September 2014)
An ideal base, in easy walking distance of wells harbour with its many and varied eating places, yet not so central as to make access by car difficult. . the garage is not large enough to house a medium sized car though, but I had no difficulty in finding on-street parking within a few yards. Also it was handy having the garage to park my bicycle in. The lack of en-suite facilities does not trouble us, but might be a problem for some. Martin from Leicester (19 September 2014)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage, it was like a home from home. they owners had thought about everything. the small starter pack(tea, coffee, biscuits and toilet roll ect) left for us was a lovely touch. If wanted to stay in wells next to the sea would stay at this cottage again. Paula from Boston (30 May 2014)
Great cottage - nice and warm - 5 min walk from pubs, easy to find and parking no problem outside. Rachel from Luton (03 January 2014)
Lovely cottage with a very spacious living area and bedrooms, nice touches, such as the christmas tree ect..and very good location. We would happily recomend this cottage. Melanie from Cambridge (30 December 2013)
This is an excellent cottage near to the town and harbour. We were a family of four ( including 2 young children) and it was great for them. Parking is normally not a problem, the garage provided is not really suitable as it is quite small and awkward to get in and out of every day. We parked near the church on the road and there were always spaces (only 1 min from cottage). the beach is a little way from the harbour (1 mile) but it is a lovely walk which takes about 30 mins at a steady pace. You can park in a car park very close to wells beach at a cost of £6 per day, the small train costs more than this for a family of 4 (one way!) and it only takes you about two thirds of the way!! only thing that the cottage didn't have was any outside space / garden but being out most of the day this was not a problem. Definitely recommend the globe inn and french's fish and chip shop (always big queues in the summer!). . overall a great cottage, lovely town, family friendly beach with golden sand and enough to do to keep the kids amused (park, crabbing in harbour, amusements and ice cream / candy floss everywhere!!). thank you for a lovely stay and we will return!! Gary from Cuffely, Potters Bar (23 August 2013)
No outside space and difficult parking. also, fridge was a bit dirty and front room furniture was a bit shabby and grubby. Joanna from Deepin St James (09 August 2013)
Very comfortable and all our needs were catered for only thing missing for us was lack of lamplight in the lounge - but this a minor poin Customer 25 from West Mids (15 Jul 2013)
Really nice cottage on a quiet street belied by the name "high street" - this is in no way a thoroughfare more occasional use. The kitchen is compact but has everything in it that we needed and the main room is laid out nicely for family use. the owner has obviously given some thought to how to make the cottage family friendly and the rooms were both sweet and functional. the photos on the website make the house look like a new build but it's not, it's a cottage befitting of the village and within easy walking distance of the village centre and quay. Kirsty from Lymm (05 April 2013)
A perfect cottage in an excellent location in wells - close to the village centre and quay and the lovely pubs/hotels in buttlands. Quite street with plenty of off road parking. spotlessly clean and cosy. pictures do not show new woodburner (perfect for snowy feb eves!) and widescreen tv (loved by kids!). would def recommend. Cathie from Cambridge (15 February 2013)
Very well equiped. cleaning materials also provided. Essentials in the cupboards. a small chest freezer provided if you wanted to make use of it. Barbara from Woodhall Spa, Linc'S (20 July 2012)
Little extras such as milk. Tea & coffee and lots of toys for the children together with a very, clean and comfortable house with generous room sizes made our stay a real pleasure. Customer 29 (April 2012)
Exceptionally clean, warm and homely with just a short walk to shops, pubs and the harbour. Customer 30 (February 2012)
Great homely touches - we really enjoyed and appreciated them. Superb location - Wells is a great town, with traditional butchers and bakers etc. just like things used to be - without any of the chains ... We had expected the cottage to be cool, and needed to put the central heating on (as it was early December), though we found that the heating had already been put on for us already. Another nice touch. We also chose this holiday cottage, to fit in with our visit to Thursford Christmas Spectacular - if you’ve never experienced this then you have to ... check it out on their website. The house was fully equipped. The beds high quality and comfy. The property was only a couple of minutes walk from the nearest shop, pub, cash machine etc. A toy box and book case were provided catering for all child and adult tastes. The kitchen is small but comes with everything needed and the rest of the property is spacious. I fully intend to try and book this property again. Thank you for making a lovely holiday.
