We had a very enjoyable short break in lavender cottage; the facilities were excellent, lots of extra touches and a lovely surprise welcome basket. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and felt like home straightaway. Easy to get to the coast and other places of interest. Stairs are a little steep for someone with two knee replacements, but he coped! Sheila from Brigstock, Kettering (23 June 2017)
Comfortable cottage for me, my dog, and my friend. Dog particularly provided for, with bed, bowls, treats and poo bags! secure, enclosed yard. . stairgate, which we used to keep dog downstairs, was a bit awkward to put up. . cottage was well-equipped, and very comfortable. only problem was that we could not get-the oven to. Work. Celia from Nottingham (17 June 2017)
Fabulous cottage a short drive from the north norfolk coast . a real home from home comfortable and homely in a village with great walks for the dog . a welcome pack with all the family catered including treats for the dog . great attention to detail would definitely recommend . Jane from Staveley Knaresborough (21 April 2017)
Only went for a 2 days and the weather was so bad we had to come home. But the cottage was great. Very clean, well laid out, dvd's on hand for the boys, good walks for the dog. Very quiet, which might not suit some people but we loved it. Be back next spring (please be nice weather ?) garry Garry from Leighton Buzzard (06 November 2016)
The cottage has everything you need for a stress free holiday. Thank you for all the welcome gifts and the dog friendly information it really helped us enjoy all the delicious eateries and amazing beaches in the area. If there was one complaint it would be that the double bed wasn't very comfortable. Despite this I would highly recommend lavender cottage. Joanne from Oxfordshire (29 October 2016)
Lovley cottage. Everything provided. Confirmed Guest (30 September 2016)
Stayed for the weekend, had a lovely time, the cottage was beautiful and a good size, close to all the stunning beaches. We took our dog molly with us and she loved it. Nice welcome pack, the only issue we had was we could not get the wifi to work so we text the owner and she responded in no time at all. (resolved) would highly recommend this accommodation. John from Worlingham (26 September 2016)
Very cosy .village has only one pub which is not noteworthy.did not find any country dog walks nearby.could not fault accomodation Catherine from Honckley (16 September 2016)
Whilst the cottage itself was very nice, it was just unfortunate that the previous guest's who left the morning of our arrival had a smelly dog and the smell didn't go until the day we left 5 days later, despite the number of scented candles and air fresheners. We were left with a lovely welcome pack with a very cute teddy bear for our little girl, however the biscults were stale. The cottage has everything you would need to cook meals and there are a selection of dvds and binders full of local takeaways and places of interest. The cottage is not very private and is very much overlooked when you are outside. There is no grass and is unsuitable for sunbathing, barbeques or some quiet time as a busy road is very close by. The location however is perfectly central and ideal to see the lovely sites of norfolk like brancaster beach, burnham market, wells, hunstanton, holkham and so on. . the beds and sofas are very comfortable and the cottage is warm and the shower is good. . despite the dog smell, the cottage was clean with fresh bed linen and towels left. Jane was very friendly and very approachable beforehand. There is a spar shop approx 15 min walk away and a fish and chip shop which is very close by but you'll need a car to get anything else. I would recommend the cottage but I would prefer somewhere in more secluded surroundings for our next visit. Lee from Stevenage, Hertfordshire (09 September 2016)
A fantastic cottage that I have no hesitation recommending to anybody . and the owner is extremely helpful . Errol from Reigate (22 May 2016)
Unfortunately bad initial impression as no loo roll at all in cottage and crisps scattered over sofa on arrival. However we enjoyed our stay and didn't have any further disappointments. Lovely welcome pack and cottage well maintained and had everything we needed - a part from loo roll. Ellen from London (08 April 2016)
Fabulous, cosy cottage in the perfect location with everything you could every need! kitchen had everything and more, lots of info on things to do in the local area. . stunning beaches at brancaster, holkham and wells next to the sea. fab pubs, particularly the duck inn at stanhoe. norwich definitely worth a visit, lovely city. we will be back for sure! Tracy from Solihull (04 April 2016)

Lovely cottage in a peaceful location. Perfectly placed for exploring the surrounding beaches. Lynne from East Calder (02 October 2015)
We enjoyed staying here so much that we hope to go back with our families next year. The house was warm and comfortable, clean and well equipped. The dog was certainly welcome as she had her own welcome basket. Joan from Chesterfield (25 September 2015)
We were very comfortable in lavender cottage; the owner was most helpful on the phone and there was a generous welcome pack awaiting us on arrival. The cottage is well positioned for visiting much of north norfolk and very close to the beach at brancaster. The kitchen was well equipped, but a measuring jug would have been useful. Jane from Ampthill, Beds (21 September 2015)
Lovely cottage, good location, very clean, we had a fantastic break and would thoroughly recommend lavender cottage!. welcome pack was a nice touch! Stefan from Colchester (28 August 2015)

A beautiful little cottage, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. we would definitely stay again and have already recommended to friends and family! Emma from Leicestershire (29 May 2015)
Nice little cottage to use as a base for exploring north norfolk, very clean, good facilities, parking for one car only however as very tight. Jonathan from Stevenage (04 May 2015)
Beautiful cottage. Quiet location. Home from home. Highly recommend lavender cottage. Sally from Newark (24 November 2014)
A lovely clean and cosy cottage in a quiet location . everything you need was there even for the dog as well ! not far away from some lovely beaches and dogs are welcome too ! David from Grantham (29 August 2014)
Nice cottage in good location to access north norfolk (need transport) with room for a family. Owner has made an good effort in supplying everything you will probably need. Definitively recommend staying here and I thought it was good value. Andrew from London (22 August 2014)
The improvements that have been made by the new owners have ensured that this pretty, cosy cottage is now super stylish, very comfortable and beautifully presented. Jane jones and her family have thought of so many extra, welcoming touches and details to ensure a guests stay is as enjoyable as possible and ours most certainly was. We have already booked for two weeks next summer but are planning some shorter escapes back to the cottage well before then as its just terrific!. thank you jane for making our stay in the cottage that little bit extra special. Nina and family Nina from New Forest, Hampshire (15 August 2014)
We had a great time at lavender cottage. The property was very clean and presented to a high standard with a contemporary yet rustic charm and a light, coastal ambience. It is located in a quiet lane in the village of docking, which is a very convenient base from which to drive a short distance to the sweeping, sandy beaches between holme next the sea and brancaster bay. Stefan from Market Harborough (25 July 2014)
The cottage is lovely. everything was new and it is extremely clean and tidy. its location is good and its only a short drive to the beach. the area is very quiet and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful holiday. Karen from Royston (02 June 2014)
Despite numerous comments in the guest book regarding a noisy extractor fan in the bathroom, I was still kept awake by it one night. Also, the house was poorly cleaned. A shame, as it's a good base and a nice house. Olly from Kingston-Upon-Thames (24 November 2013)
Nicely designed and well equipped cottage, ideally located in a sleepy village with a great fish and chip shop and weekly market where the food produce was excellent and the locals very welcoming. We will definitely stay again as we loved the cottage and the village- few too many cobwebs and dusty ledges which mean the cleanliness score is not higher and surprised that for a 2 week stay there was no servicing at the end of the 1st week just a rubbish collection- didn't spoil the holiday at all but would have made it even better if there had been less dust and a change of sheets. Nina from Hampshire (16 August 2013)
A pleasant light and fresh cottage. Sarah from Grantham (27 August 2012)
Decor, location, comfort, everything!!! Suzanne from Corringham Essex (24 August 2012)

Nicely decorated, well equipped, nice open living room/kitchen. Customer 37 (August 2009)
Very compact but beautifully decorated in a minimilist style to present the property in it’s best light. Enclosed area ideal for the dog and, again, sensibly presented and easily maintained. Decor bright and clean and open plan design made for a cosy, intimate feel. Customer 38 (August 2009)
Nice quiet street, neighbours very friendly and happy to give directions to places. Very nice accommodation all to an excellent standard. Would definitely want to stay there again. Very homely, good decor and all attractions very accessible. Customer 39 (July 2009)
Lovely cottage, clean and warm, and very convenient for the coast. Customer 40 (October 2008)
The cottage was in a great position to explore the area being within reach of great beaches, harbours, villages and Sandringham House. Some great places to walk the dog close by although the cottage itself had only a small garden. We had a fantastic time. Customer 41 (July 2008)
Lavender Cottage was lovely! Beautifully furnished. Customer 42 (August 2007)
