Perfect location very spacious very homely and fully equipped. Not forgetting kevin's very welcome lemon drizzle cake he made us also the milk in the fridge and lovely daffodils from his garden was perfect Valerie from Fakenham (18 March 2017)
Lovely holiday house, kevin & sally are wonderful hosts and live across the house. They're very helpful and cooperative. Kevin would drive us to the town if we request. The house is meticulously clean with lavander theme everywhere. Thank you kevin for the lemon cake Diab from Telford (10 February 2017)
It was a lovely place to stay, well equipped and great location with a cheap taxi ride from shrewsbury to bicton Confirmed Guest (16 January 2017)
Best holiday cottage we've stayed at. Cosy, well-equipped, tastefully decorated and furnished, ideal for a couple and with lovely owners. Great location for lots of activities .. walking in the beautiful shropshire hills, visiting interesting towns, variety of heritage sites and numerous places to eat really good food. We hope to return! Peter from London (13 January 2017)
Beautifully clean and well appointed, lavender cottage is a great location to explore the delights of shropshire. it is on a quiet, country lane which is blissfully quiet. I would say you would need a car to explore, although the village is on a bus route. . we were welcomed with a halloween sign on the door, apples and even a bat dangling from the beam! there was also a delicious, home made lemon drizzle cake, milk, tea & coffee which is always appreciated after a journey. . the bed is king size and comfy, 'no roll' together which is always a good thing! the bedroom is large with views of fields to one side and the owner's home with attractive walled border on the other. there are plenty of socket points in the room and I did spot a toy squirrel peeping out from a beam!. . what is useful, is a night light on the stairs, particularly if you need to get up in the night in an unfamiliar place. . the cottage has a large variety of tourist attraction leaflets and a thoughtfully put together brochure including walks which are suitable if you are bringing a dog. there's also a couple of games, shropshire magazines and good housekeeping, as well as books about shrewsbury. . a short drive brings you to oxon, where there is a small parade of shops: vets, fish and chips, chinese, hairdressers, a very good co-op and the park & ride. bicton had a spar,. garage and pub, which took us 20mins to walk to. . I would return to lavender cottage. Tiffany from Cheltenham (03 November 2016)
Kevin and sally made us very welcome. The cottage was excellent, good parking and central to major road links which made visiting sites ie national trusts easy Anne from Nottingham (21 October 2016)
Our second visit to the most comfortable cottage we have stayed in . everything you need in the cottage to make your stay a home from home . added plus this year was the internet .a dog is welcome here but as a non dog owner you wouldnt know dogs stay here. Lovely little cottage well equipped and very clean. Wifi a little hit and miss but so what it's not the end of the world. The bed was extremely comfortable with lovely fresh bed linen and plump pillows. The shower room was clean with a nice shower. The lemon cake was delicious and after a long journey was very welcome with a cup of tea. I would definitely stay here again maybe in the summer next time. Mandy from Plymouth (04 December 2015)

Lovely location. We would love to go again. John from Coleshill (02 February 2015)
The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, the accommodation is excellent for two and ideally located to access major routes around shropshire. we will be returning to lavender cottage again to take advantage of the dog walks which we did not do this time as we visited in december and surrounding farm land was pretty wet. The cottage is worthy of its 4star rating and we would recommend it highly. Nina from Leicestershire (12 December 2014)
Excellent place to stay, central to many cities and points of interest. Kevin and sally were brilliant hosts, there with information and a warm welcome as we arrived, and everything we could possibly need watson the cottage apart from wifi. This was a pain, as no planning could be done for days out etc. Sure a booster or something within the cottage could solve this. Clare from Newport, Isle Of Wight (05 December 2014)
Highly recommend this lovely cottage. stayed here on two occasions and would certainly book here again if we were visiting shrewsbury. Joyce from Dunfermline (14 November 2014)

One of the best cottages for comfort cleanliness and lovely touches we have stopped in would have just liked a pub near by that served good meals so we could have had a walk to in the evening without using the car pub within walking distance didn't serve brilliant meals but we still had a wonderful holiday and the couple that own it could not have been any more friendly and helpful Christine from Riccall York (06 June 2014)

Karen from Leicester (28 December 2013)
We are keen walkers and had not visited shropshire before. The location of the cottage provided many walks from the door and the information supplied by the owners on local walks was excellent. The only downside was that there was no bath in which to ease our aching limbs at the end of the day! . Ruth from Louth (08 November 2013)
We had an amazing weekend away at lavender cottage. It was so clean and comfortable, and perfect for the two of us. We were made to feel very welcome. Lavender cottage is delightful in every detail - characterful, cosy, clean, comfortable and warm with every mod. Con. Desirable and providing access to a delightful part of the country full of history and natural beauty. Wow!!! this cottage is outstanding in every way - a real credit to the owners & a wonderful place to spend our wedding anniversary - we didn't want to leave! the cottage is spotlessly clean & extremely well equipped - I didn't even need to have taken my hairdryer! not only were all the essentials provided but there were thoughtful touches too such as a wonderful lemon cake, milk & fresh flowers to welcome us. The owners were even thoughtful enough to acknowledge our anniversary - which was very much appreciated & totally unexpected. . this is an excellent base for exploring shropshire & the surrounding area. There is plenty of info provided on what to see & where to go. We were spoilt for choice & didn't have time to do everything so will definitely be returning to lavender cottage!. . one last thing to say - this cottage has been given a gold award but in our opinion that should be upgraded to platinum! Lavender Cottage is very comfortable and everything that you might need has been provided. There are lots of places to visit in the area, various National properties, Ironbridge and it’s many museums. There is a Cooperative Supermarket about 5 minutes drive from the cottage and sells a good range of goods.
