Stayed here twice before. Very well equipped but beginning to look in need of a refurb. . issue with slugs in the kitchen in the evening Sandra from Denton. Northants (18 June 2016)
An ideal cottage, very comfy and good access to beach and town. Dawn from Earl Shilton (11 June 2016)
Great location Confirmed Guest (04 June 2016)
We travelled by train having been to sheringham for many years and being familiar with the good bus and train links around the coastline. The cottage was ideally situated with easy access to beach, shops and restaurants. It had very homely and comfortable rooms and was cleaned to a high standard. I would recommend the cottage to friends. Barrie from North London (30 April 2016)
We had a lovely time at the cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Brilliant location. Didn't do much for my waistline though have the fish n chip restaurant across the road! highly recommend this place. Thank you. Carole from Birstall, Leicester (28 March 2016)
A great cottage ideal location, close to every thing, only down side it stated in the description that there was a freezer on site witch there was but this had not obviously worked for some time, lucky we never went to tesco/iceland to get any frozen food before arriving at the cottage (our stay was over christmas) apart from that a great little cottage. Steve from Wickford (28 December 2015)
We have stayed in sheringham a few times , and this is the best place we have stayed in 3 times know Frank from Southend (03 October 2015)
Lovely cottage right in the heart of sheringham recommended will def go again Richard from Liversedge (08 August 2015)
The cottage was excellent, only lacking parking space. Richard from North Yorkshire (25 July 2015)
First class cottage in a great location. . only problem could not use the oven because it had been damaged before we arrived this did cause a problem with our planned cooking which was difficult with a one year old! Donald from Ipswich (18 July 2015)
Lovely cottage located in the heart of sheringham, close to the beech, shops, pubs, restaurants and north coast path. Fully equipped with all you need including guides to the area. . nice private courtyard perfect if you have dogs. Only marked down the comfort due to the double bed needing a new mattress and having to sleep in the single beds. Customer 12 from Nottingham (20 June 2015)
This is a very clean and well equipped holiday cottage. well located in a very good seaside town. the only slight drawback is that the beds could be more comfortable but that does not detract from the whole experience and we will definitely stay here again. Valerie from Burscough (13 June 2015)
A lovely cottage in a perfect location. Annie from Newmarketsuffolk (06 June 2015)
Lovely cottage. Great location, just a few minutes to the beach and very near the high street. The stairs are very steep and shallow so we had to be careful with our toddler. No wifi, which was a shame. Overall, a great place to stay. Would definitely recommend. Fiona from London (30 May 2015)
A lovely and very comfortable cottage. The amenities were conveniently located, and wouldn't hesitate to return. The steam railway and the funky mackerel with it's views out to sea , both dog friendly. We had very enjoyable time there. Philip from York (23 May 2015)
Good location for town centre, beach and cliff walks. Cottage contains everything you need for an enjoyable stay - it is clean and well maintained. We would definitely go again. Only downside is no parking place directly by cottage - you can easily load and off-load outside though. I found lots of free parking spaces nearby where you can walk the dogs - so it was not a problem. Martin from Muespach - Le- Haut, France (23 November 2014)
The cottage was lovely however the beds was so uncomfortable both me and my partner was in pain with our backs we ended up sleeping on the couch and chair in the living room not a nice experience Shaun from Worksop, Notts (14 November 2014)
A lovely very well equipped cottage close to both the quaint town of sheringham and the beach. Phoebe from Ely (10 November 2014)
Our only criticisms are that we found the mattress on the double bed was hard and rather uncomfortable and the springs were very noisy. an electric shaver point would also have been appreciated. otherwise we found the property comfortable and cosy with superb access to everything sheringham has to offer Alan from Bury St.Edmunds (18 October 2014)
The cottage is in the centre of sheringham and an ideal base for exploring north norfolk. Maybe you could find a parking space on an adjacent street although there are a vast amount of double yellow lines but a weekly season ticket to park at the station costs £ 27.50 and being 5only minutes walk away is ideal. Michael from Dronfield (13 September 2014)
This is such a lovely cottage to stay in. Its so cosy and has everything you could need. The location is great, just a short walk from the beach. We would definitely stay at lantern cottage again. Annie from Newmarket (30 August 2014)
Excellent accommodation ,ideal location and would highly recommend it Michael from Stockton On Tees (09 August 2014)
Excellent cottage in the midst of all the action. just like home and the patio garden was a joy. parking in sheringham was the only disadvantage as the streets were not made to cater for the present day traffic. Pat from Swindon (02 August 2014)
A very comfortable and convenient cottage. Patricia from Cambridge (26 July 2014)
Ideal location with excellent amenities. Sue from Wallington (05 July 2014)
Convenient for the shops and beach. No need to use the car. A comfortable cottage which was very well equipped. Christine from Derbyshire (10 May 2014)
A lovely cottage, centrally positioned and close to some nice pubs. Would have scored 10 if it had a parking space. Dominic from Monzo (11 April 2014)
Well equipped cottage in a good central location, it has a very homely feel. Construction of new houses in the adjacent street currently limits the amount of available free car parking due to numbers of workers vehicles. Flying Fairy from Lincoln (28 March 2014)
Very enjoyable stay. Cottage is centrally located, walking distance to all sheringham has to offer. Clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation. James from Leicester (24 March 2014)
This spacious and well equipped cottage in the heart of sheringham was a comfortable home for the christmas week. some christmas decorations and a welcome card from the owners added to the already cosy feel. there were even special dog blankets provided to make our four-legged friend feel at home! definitely worth a return visit. Alan from St Albans (28 December 2013)
Lantern cottage is a lovely, comfortable and cosy cottage, and was very well equipped. the location is excellent for both the seafront and shops and was also a fantastic base for exploring the north norfolk coastline. The cottage exceeded all our expectations and we would definately stay there again. Diane from Peterborough (26 October 2013)
We love lantern cottage, perfect little haven, cozy with all the comforts of home shelagh and john. Shelagh from Bromyard (04 October 2013)
Brilliant. have stayed there on a number of occasions. Katherine from Kettering (28 September 2013)
Great holiday in fab cottage. Little courtyard a lovely bonus, and what a sun trap! great location very handy for all of sheringham's amenities. I would definitely recommend to others. Aly from Corby (17 August 2013)
Very handy for all local amenities especially the chippie!! only drawback was the front door opening straight onto the street which cars seem to wizz down. lovely lady opposite at the florists. Margaret from Norwich (03 August 2013)
It was good to be able to use the central heating when we arrived . although it was the second week of june.kitchen was a good space to cook in.living room cosy & comfortable.we loved the courtyard garden. . . . . . . . . Steve from Chelmsford (15 Jun 2013)
Perfectly located for the beach, butcher, baker etc. good sized bedrooms with plenty of wardrobe space. The outside space is a sun trap and cuts out all the wind - which can turn a pleasant day into baking heat! large kitchen with dishwasher. Owen from London (01 Jun 2013)
No need for a car; everything close at hand. Public transport gives access to many interesting spots. We enjoyed every minute & sheringham is home of the shantymen! Ag from K. Lynn (23 March 2013)
Every aspect met our needs very well, we had a lovely week despite very artic-like conditions outside for part of the week! the cottage was cosy and warm and the little patio also appealing. Ruth from Horsham (02 March 2013)
Lovllely cosy cottage well equipped comfortable close to shops and . food outlets .close to the beach . Jenny from Hertfordshire (29 December 2012)

Nice place to stay. Good walks. Remember to take your own towels! Customer 47 (April 2012)
Lovely holiday cottage; well presented and clean and homely. If you don’t mind a little walk, parking is generally available at the Barford Road end of Cremer Street. Customer 48 (January 2012)
Very comfortable and relaxing. Only one problem in that only two towels were provided, these being hand size. We had to buy some. Customer 49 (December 2011)
Excellent location for walks on the beach. Near to several dog friendly pubs. Wonderfully equipped the owners had thought of everything. Lovely cosy warm bed. Near to shops. Sainsbury’s opens every day. Free off street parking about five minutes away in the winter. Customer 50 (November 2011)
Great location for beach and shops. Can recommend Daves fish and chip shop opposite, best in sheringham. Restaurants, spoilt for choice and all in walking distance what could be better. Very spacious cottage with a garden, ideal when you have a dog. Customer 51 (October 2011)
Have stayed in many cottages over the years, but this was by far the best.Could find nothing to fault. Extremely well equipped. Excellent location. Would definitely rebook. Customer 52 (September 2011)
A very comfortable and well equipped cottage. The enclosed yard was ideal for the dog and was a hot sunny spot to sit in. Would love to visit again. Customer 53 (August 2011)

Great location, very spacious, incredibly well equipped. Although there is no parking, the weekly parking permit only costs £30 for the week and you can use it in all North Norfolk car parks, so good when out and about. Customer 59 (August 2010)
A very cosy and well equipped cottage, which was sufficient for the needs of us and our dog. Customer 60 (July 2010)

Our only criticism is we had to come home. Customer 69 (March 2009)
A beautiful, well presented cottage in an ideal location. Customer 70 (October 2008)
This was our second time at this excellent cottage. Very clean and had everything we could possibly need and close to amenities. Have recommended this cottage to many of my friends and will definitely be returning. Customer 71 (March 2008)
Lantern Cottage perfectly met our idea of a UK cottage seaside holiday being a lovely cottage based in the nicest seaside town in Norfolk. We found it ideal for us and our 3 mth old son. It was comfortable and well equipped and ideally located on a quiet side street off the high street just up from the promenade so very close to both Sheringham’s amenities but also the sea. As result, due to the quality and location of the cottage despite the poor weather (wind and rain) we still had a great time. Customer 72 (August 2007)
This property feels like a home with some very nice personal touches. We would come again. Customer 73 (July 2007)
The accommodation was excellent and well maintained. I was particularly impressed by the provision for the dog. Customer 74 (June 2007)
