I have stayed at this property many times in the past and find this a great cottage and location. If I have one negative it would be the shower it needs to be upgraded as the water pressure is almost non existent. Apart from this I would recommend this to everyone due to the peace and quiet plus the location to shopping centre and coastal places to visit. Phillip from Halifax (10 June 2017)
3 couples with ponies and carriages. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again. Mary from Banbury (27 April 2017)
Another lovely stay at keepers cottage. very comfortable accommodation with everything you need for a home from home. excellent facilities if you want to take horses . / dogs with you. very good area for riding / walking and good pubs nearby. roll on next year.. Confirmed Guest (15 April 2017)
Lovely cottage, very comfortable and clean with everything you need supplied, plus a very yummy welcome pack! the dogs loved it too :-) Mary from Witham, Essex (18 March 2017)
This was the second time in january that we have stayed at keepers cottage and intend to stay again. We have always found the property very clean and comfortable and the owners very friendly and helpful. Quite remote but has lovely walks. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Confirmed Guest (14 January 2017)
A lovely cottage, with a welcome including milk, eggs, bread, butter, and a very popular cake. very quiet and peaceful. owners friendly but not overbearing. wood supplied, lovely fire of an evening. unfortunately our toddler was in a destructive phase and broke a lot of crockery and a full-length mirror, but the owners were quite forgiving and wouldn't accept offer of replacement or payment. Suggestions for improvement: a spare stair-gate for use at the top would be nice; mini recycling bins in the kitchen; better/bigger frying pans; the kitchen's big, so a kitchen table would fit in nicely; and, while the garden was big and the dogs enjoyed it, it wasn't fully enclosed for me to let my very naughty jack russells out to play (a big ask, I know). all in all, a lovely time, with trips to several beaches, pubs, sandringham, etc. Thrown in. Colleen from Gamlingay (15 October 2016)
Hi we love keepers cottage as it is great for carriage driving as has off road availability. it is basic but great value. we try to go every year. we do think it needs a bit of updating, especially the kitchen and maybe some better single beds as for ladies of a certain age they are uncomfortable! Fiona from Uckfield East Sussex (17 September 2016)
Beautiful location, excellent for livery (with horses) and having dogs. owners very kind and friendly, nice cake and lemonade to greet us when we arrived. However, it was not the cleanest place we have ever stayed, carpets needs replacing and the shower needs to be seriously upgraded. Jen from London (27 August 2016)
Comfortable place to stay and ideal location for walking our dogs, would definitely go back, owners welcoming and supplied a generous welcome pack. David from Leicester (12 March 2016)
We had a good holiday. Customer 10 from Warks (24 October 2015)
We add a really good time we took 2 dogs and the cottage was perfect for them with big fields to walk them in attached to the cottage and it was only 1/2 hour away from costal destinations Matt from Leicester (18 September 2015)
I booked keepers cottage last minute due to a change of plans and I couldn't be more delighted. My requirements probably vary from most as I travel with several active gundogs and my priority is a safe enclosed area for them and practical floors in the accommodation for cleaning. Keepers cottage is a place I would love to live. Comfortable and clean with a lovely selection of welcome gifts including delicious home made lemonade. Set in lovely farming countryside keepers cottage is easily within reach of north norfolk's fabulous beaches and many more inland attactions. An absolute gem. Wendy from Gloucester (04 September 2015)
A lovely holiday cottage. comfortable and spacious, with a large garden for the dogs to run around in. Nicely situated, near to several holiday attractions and a short drive to nice beaches. We had a very relaxing week! Debra from Borehamwood, Hertfordshire (22 August 2015)
Furniture and carpets looking a little jaded, comfortable enough though! Lorraine from Southampton (25 July 2015)
Well equipped, roomy and well fenced for dogs. A.E. from Leeds (30 May 2015)
My two friends and our 3 dogs would certainly return Kim from Essex (09 May 2015)
Keepers cottage is a lovely location with everything and much more provided. Freshly baked bread and cake, along with fresh milk and eggs , and not forgetting the homemade lemonade. . the dogs thought they had died and gone to doggy heaven with the donkeys and horses on site. . by the way - you will need to take carrots for the donkeys and horses ! Yvonne from Donisthorpe, Derbyshire (02 May 2015)
Our third visit to this lovely cottage and we will be back to our rural idyll in august. you are always made welcome with a super bundle of goodies including a homemade cake and lemonade. the dogs absolutely love running on the land and round the garden. Velda from Westcliff-On-Sea (11 April 2015)
Fantastic cottage and fabulous hosts. Greeted by enormous homemade victoria sponge, fresh eggs, homemade lemonade, bread, butter and milk. Every thing we could possibly need was there for us. Loved all the animals and rural setting unbeatable. Bill and rachel lovely friendly people. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Laurie from Thorngumbald (04 April 2015)
Perfect place for a quiet get away. Beautiful location well equipped cottage. Nice extras like the welcome pack. Nothing is too mu check trouble. Liz from Ipswich (23 March 2015)
A stunning location and a beautiful cottage. We highly recommend this property for those who are looking for a quiet and beautiful part of norfolk to stay in and explore. we had a great time at keeper's cottage and I cannot recommend it enough - it's the ideal norfolk retreat! we would not return to this property only because we've got so much of the united kingdom yet to discover! Martin from Kent (07 March 2015)
Fabulous location with wonderful walks from the door, our dogs were in heaven. Maps of the walks however were a tad confusing but we had fun getting lost !. cottage lovely and homely, a true gem. if you have horses this place is a must, a lovely paddock and grazing land all available right next to the cottage so you can see your horses enjoying their holiday. Our dogs had the best time chasing the poor rabbits and darting through the woods. all in all our favorite holiday cottage to date. Jenny from Frinton On Sea (21 June 2014)
One of the best cottages we have stayed in. The welcome pack was exceptional, cake, eggs, butter and more, plus all the extras like toiletries that were provided. Very well equipped. we loved the peace & quiet but as it was so remote it would be difficult to stay here without a car. The only thing that was annoying was the smoking chimney from farm opposite - very unpleasant if wind was blowing in cottage direction. Chris from Enfield (10 May 2014)
A lovely comfortable cottage in a fantastic setting with great dog walks. only improvements would be a washing machine and more comfortable garden furniture. planning already to stay again Velda from Westcliff-On-Sea (19 April 2014)
We wanted a cottage to enable the family to have a get together over christmas and keepers cottage was the best location and price that we could find. . directions were good and when we arrived the owners had lit a log fire for us and also provided homemade provisions (yule log, bread, butter, milk, eggs and lemonade) a lot of it from the farm. (thank you so much for that). the kitchen was very spacious and well equipped, the one thing I felt it lacked was a traditional farmhouse table although the dining room table was more than sufficient. the lounge and bedroom accommodation was very clean and comfortable and we were more than happy with it. For those with pets, especially dogs and horses, this place is a dream with the outside facilities. The guest book had many entries from satisfied holiday makers who had brought their pets. We had thought we would have to bring or buy our own logs for the fire but we were shown a large log store and invited to use as much as we needed which was very considerate. The only downside we found was that the lanes were very muddy so the cars were always dirty but that's to be expected in a proper rural location and nothing that the owners could do about it, especially as it was december 2013, one of the wettest on record. One of the best recommendations for any location or service is whether we would book again and the answer is a resounding yes. Peter from Leicester (28 December 2013)
Plenty of room, clean and comfortable, nice welcome pack including home made lemonade and cake. Well appointed kitchen and very comfortable bedrooms. Good size private garden. Owners were located conveniently nearby yet we had complete privacy. The children loved the horses and donkeys. Peter from Wimbledon (10 Jun 2013)
Lovely welcome pack and cottage very clean. Great to have a dishwasher as not to have to wash up when away. Corinna from Wenhaston, Suffolk (20 April 2013)
A beautiful house set in an idyllic setting. Greeted with an array of fresh produce . spotlessly clean and ideal for small children with the farm on your doorstep. Grainne from Ireland (02 February 2013)
Well kept,. great place for pets . my autumn 9mths pup had a great time Sam from Carlisle (04 August 2012)
Well positioned for exploring around norfolk or just chilling out. Excellent facilities for an active dog as ours is. Well equipped kitchen for self catering Joanne from Billericay (28 July 2012)
A beautiful location where you can enjoy a bit of solitude or engage with the owners who are helpful and just let you get on with the sort of stay you want. We loved the open space and the animals. The welcome gifts are legendary by the look of the guest book and we found them delicious and a real welcome that started the holiday with a great feeling. The house is self sufficient and all the safety features we needed for the baby were supplied and of a good quality. If I would change anything I would ask for a washing machine but to be honest only needed if you have young children. I am sure the owners would assist if we had asked and they sent on some clothes we had left which they had washed and ironed for us! A really great stay and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you very much. Customer 31 (March 2012)
The cottage had everything that we needed. Customer 32 (October 2011)
A great holiday - ideal for a toddler - secure grounds for charging round and lots of animals nearby to see. Lots to do around the area regardless of the weather. Owners made us feel very welcome and provided a great basket of goodies on arrival. We would love to go back to this property. Customer 33 (June 2011)
Large spacious, clean and comfortable cottage set in a peaceful and secluded location. We had a wonderful week and would recommend this cottage if you want to experience the beautiful Norfolk countryside. Customer 34 (April 2011)
It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and welcome gifts made it feel very welcoming. Customer 35 (December 2010)
Very clean. Beautiful setting. Very quiet. Extremely friendly owners. Great provision and welcoming cake! A superb cottage. Customer 36 (April 2010)
Clean, suitably furnished. Comfortable beds. Excellent kitchen with all necessary utensils, crockery etc. We stayed in February and it was beautifully warm with central heating so the log fire was a bonus. It was very thoughtfully laid ready to be lit with plenty of kindling and firewood to keep us going. Customer 37 (February 2010)
House lovely and clean, lovely home made cake on arrival. Customer 38 (October 2009)
Really good for the family and the two dogs! Customer 39 (September 2009)
Very clean, all facilities as outlined in the brochure. Good standard. Customer 40 (September 2009)
Rooms were a lovely size for a cottage, we did not feel on top of each other. Lots of storage, inside and out, and secure. Excellent quality of stables and grazing. With regard to equipment and furnishings, you did not want for anything, very thoughtfully equipped. The only comment to the owner was because of our outdoor pursuits we would have preferred a washing machine rather than a dishwasher. But we were there for 2 weeks which I suspect is not the norm. Customer 41 (August 2009)
The quiet location and the enclosed garden for the two year old to play in was great. Customer 42 (June 2009)
This property is ideal for a family with children. Customer 43 (June 2009)
One of the best holiday houses our family has stayed in, and we’ve been using your company for 20-odd years. The personal touches, like the welcoming cake, were the icing on the, er, cake. Customer 44 (April 2009)
The accommodation was to a very high standard and very clean and well presented everything you could wish for to have a relaxing holiday. Would highly recommend. Customer 45 (April 2009)
We had a wonderful time at Keepers cottage. Although we were lucky with the weather one day and had a fantastic walk on the beach at Holkham it wasn’t so kind on other days, but that didn’t matter because we had a fabulous log fire to keep us cosy indoors! Customer 46 (March 2009)
The cottage was exceptionally clean, with a freshly baked cake to greet us! The attention to detail was outstanding with beautiful toiletries, ample cleaning products and plenty of logs and kindling for the fire. Customer 47 (February 2009)
The accommodation was great. It was lovely to be able to go away with friends stay in a warm comfortable house with my dogs and horse. Customer 48 (November 2008)
Owner provided lovely chocolate cake on arrival which went down a treat and also provided milk and orange juice which was great to have a drink on arrival. Numerous maps, walks, etc provided which really helped in exploring the area. Customer 49 (November 2008)
A very spacious and well-equipped comfortable cottage. We had no problems with the central heating or hot water as we have experienced with other cottages recently. Customer 50 (October 2008)
