We had a wonderful time in a beautiful home in a great location, the whole family voted it the best holiday ever Lammond from Boston (04 August 2017)
Great cottage in a fab location close to the beach with a great cafe, local shop and decent pubs. Will be back. Nick from London (21 July 2017)
Huddlestones is perfectly situated for a seaside holiday of high quality. Comfortable and luxurious the property is excellent. Amanda from Aberdeen (14 July 2017)
A well equipped holiday home just a short walk from a wonderful beach. Mark from Devizes (09 June 2017)
We had a great family holiday in an amazing location for walking and time on the beach. However, although the cottage is ideally placed and has plenty of space for a group, it is in places rather "tired". this includes linen, tea towels and towels. As previously mentioned by other visitors there were a large number of light bulbs that needed replacing - not just the odd one and whilst there were spares in the cupboard this is not what we expected from a 5 star property. . this cottage could be outstanding with a little care, but we do not feel it warrants its 5 star grading currently. Ann from West Wickham (02 June 2017)
We all had a great time at huddlestones. Great value for money and the pictures really do not do this place justice. . . really nice touch with sky tv movies and sports. Lovely aga and wood burning stove. . . 5 minutes away from local pub & playground. 10 minutes to a gorgeous dog friendly beach. . . one thing I would say is i'd be careful if you've got young children on the move with furniture items, aga etc. . . thank you so much for your hospitality. We can't wait to return! Customer 6 from Essex (01 May 2017)
Beautiful spacious property only a stones through from the beach. well equipped with fully enclosed gardens so the dogs are safe. old hunstanton is lovely in its right and a good base to explore the area. The neptune, a michelin stared restaurant five minutes walk from the house, well worth a visit. we have stayed twice now and would highly recommend. Helen from Hertfordshire (28 April 2017)
A great family home in a quiet and convenient location. The property is comfortable, spacious and we appreciate the ability to take our dog. The downstairs bedroom with its sitting area is ideal for my parents who are less mobile now. We have stayed twice here and we are looking stay again next year. Jules from Bedford (14 April 2017)
We had a lovely week celebrating the 60th birthday of one of our party. The barn conversion is exceptional, with so much space, and it has a nice 'lived in' feel. The garden is beautiful. We particularly appreciated the aga - we used to have one years ago - and having sky on hand, including sky sports. The 'study' area on the first floor was a great bonus. Very comfortable beds and furniture, and very efficient heating. . it was good to be so close to the beach - just a 1/4 mile or so walk. A terrific beach, too - both dogs loved it. We can thoroughly recommend both of the local pub/restaurants, the lodge and the ancient mariner. . . if i'm being really picky, the tablemats could do with replacing. Otherwise, we found huddlestones superbly equipped throughout. We considered booking again for christmas but it's taken! . . a welcome pack of wine and shortbread was a lovely touch - thank you! Stephen from Letchworth (07 April 2017)
Stunning property in a great location, most pet friendly area we've visited! will definitely return. Karen from Bury/Lancashire (17 March 2017)
Excellent cottage and great location. We loved it so much we have booked again already. Philip from Stamford (20 February 2017)
We had major safety issues with the property which have been dealt with directly with the owners. Susan from Norwich (10 February 2017)
Great barn very spacious with everything you need. It's in a great location short walk to pubs and beaches. overall a wonderful place to stay. Susan from Rotherham (27 January 2017)
Outstanding! probably the best new year i've ever had! huddlestones was perfect, we've already recommended it to lots of our family and friends. I cannot think of any criticism. Once again- perfect. Thank you. Adrian from Newmarket (04 January 2017)
This was our second visit to huddlestones and there is very little to complain about. One or two very small niggles but not enough to spoil any part of our week. . we were expecting to find enough fire logs for the first night as advertised but there were none; neither were there spare light bulbs to replace the ones not working. There was a tissue under one of the single beds and we had to clean the placemats which were very sticky. . one thing that could be a problem is if you are a party of eight, you could not all watch tv together in a comfortable chair as the two sofas each seat three. There is a request not to move furniture so the two comfortable chairs upstairs cannot be brought down. do not let these comments put you off, the place is stunning. Jo from Ely (02 December 2016)
I have already written a letter of complaint to the owners of huddlestones and sent a copy to english country cottages. the cottage is in a perfect location and the outside is wonderful. unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the inside. various problems as outlined in my letter. Gail from Longfield (14 October 2016)
This was out second stay at huddlestones the cottage is in a lovely location not too far from all local amenities and just a quick walk from the beach. It is a very dog friendly area and the cottage is very welcoming to dogs. The only thing that disappointed us was that the aga was not working we had planned meals around using this. However the owner quickly replied to our query by text and arranged for someone to come out and look at it, it was just unfortunate that repairs could not be completed during our stay. As a party of three couples the cottage is big enough so that we were not in one anothers pockets and the downstairs bedroom with ensuite was a godsend for my sister who was awaiting spinal surgery. Without a doubt we would recommend this cottage to anyone. Linda from Doncaster (07 October 2016)
We all found huddle stones a wonderful property. A short walk to the beach and a very nice restaurant. I didn't think it was child friendly with no stair gate, cot or highchair and lots of wires visible for small hands to get hold of. Fine for over fives. We all had a lovely holiday and found huddlestones in a fantastic location to explore the many sights of norfolk. Sally from Pottersbar Herts (02 September 2016)
We had a lovely holiday and enjoyed our stay. . the house and gardens are beautiful. . the cooker isn't too efficient and it would be good to have an extra key for gate to road to beach. . we'd definitely go back. Penny from Cheshire (05 August 2016)
The location of the cottage was perfect and we found it very spacious. the beds were very comfortable. . . we found there were not enough lights in the living room and also in the upstairs living area so reading in the evenings was difficult. several lights bulbs were not working throughout the house. also, the waste pipe in the ensuite shower in the upstairs bedroom was totally blocked so we had to unblock it ourselves. . . apart from that, everything was excellent and we enjoyed our week. Confirmed Guest (24 June 2016)
Despite 'reassurance' from owner the house was not as clean as expected. Kitchen area particularly needed a thorough clean. Location was good. Very spacious but would not stay again as overall cleanliness was not up to standard given the cost of renting the property. Confirmed Guest from Wiverhampton (17 June 2016)
Huddlestones is a lovely property in a great location, sadly minor faults that are easily rectified make this place good and not fantastic which we expect from a 5 star luxury property - kitchen untensils very basic (no can opener)leaking downstairs toilet, bulbs missing/not working, bedroom blinds broke/missing,no radio, and would expect tv's to be in bedrooms and kitchen?hotwater and heating had been turned off on our arrival so had to figure it out for ourselves. Lloyd from Ashbourne (20 May 2016)
As a group we agreed with many of the former comments posted by previous visitors. We were delighted with the location of the property as we found it extremely tranquil and convenient for the local amenities. Huddlestones was comfortable but we felt that the kitchen in particular was jaded and requires refreshing. The kitchen equipment also requires some improvement, eg two can openers provided but neither functioned effectively. Whilst we appreciate this is a barn and subject to cobwebs, again we felt that the property needed a deep clean throughout. Beverley from Shefford (02 May 2016)
We had a great time at huddlestones, wanted to stay longer and hope to be back soon!. . the location is great. we had a walk on the beach before breakfast, stopped at the lovely little local shop for supplies, then back to the luxurious but welcoming barn - not a bad start to the day!. . there was plenty of room for 5 adults, 2 children and a dog. . we only live an hour away and so know north norfolk well but still had plenty to do and found new areas to explore. . . we would highly recommend this wonderful cottage. Susie from Ely (11 April 2016)
Our second visit to huddlestones, and thoroughly enjoyed it again. The house is beautiful and great for 2 families as it's very spacious and having 2 en suite bathroom s as well as a separate bathroom is really useful. The utility room is also a bonus as we had a dog. It's in a fantastic location with the beach only a few minutes walk away and lovely restaurants and cafes also in walking distance. . only minor issues were that the upstairs shower was still leaking down into the downstairs shower room and we had reported this problem last year. The milk provided on arrival was also out of date and had gone off! Alison from Staines (08 April 2016)
The cottage exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, comfortable and well located being a short walk to the beach. It felt homely and was ideal for my elderly parents with a downstairs bedroom with en suite and sitting area. I would recommend the property and would happily return again. Definitely agree with the 5 star grading. Jules from Westoning (01 April 2016)
It is a beautiful house home from home everything you need. Only one complaint shower in upstairs ensuite needs descaling and hand towels would of been great Caroline from Sheering (21 March 2016)
At first site this is a lovely property in a great location. Unfortunately on closer inspection a few things let it down badly. . up to eye level it appears clean, however above this there were a lot of cobwebs in almost all rooms and things like the top of showers were very dirty. Blinds were missing or faulty on a number of velux roof windows. . the kitchen is in need of complete refurbishment with cupboard doors not fitting, one ring of an old cooker not working, broken shelves in the fridge which incidentally needed cleaning before use. A number of lights in the kitchen were not working notably over the work surfaces. . there was nice porcelain china but a mismatch of cutlery and we had to search to find some wine glasses (plenty of plastic ones) in a box in the utility room. . the two main bedrooms were very nice but the others were not at all of a good standard for a property at this price. Roy from Wrexham (14 March 2016)
Huddlestones was fantastic. the only reasons I am not giving it perfect score is because I was expecting a set of towels per person, but we were supplied one bath sheet per person. this is fine had I known in advance, but I didn't. the second criticism is that our group is full of folks who love to cook. the kitchen is great, no complaints, but the cookware is a bit old and sad. for this type of house, a new set of pots and pans would be a great improvement if you like cooking!! other than that, the house is large and so comfortable. the walk to the beach is ideal and old hunstanton beach is beautiful. Judi from Camberley, Surrey (19 February 2016)
Huddlestones is a lovely house, with good amenities, we stayed at christmas and the house was very welcoming even down to christmas decorations. However one or two little negatives which if corrected would make huddlestones perfect. There were a lot of cobwebs, we know it is a barn and have no issues with cobwebs on ceilings but the shower head in the down stairs on suite was covered, also the net curtains in the down stairs bedroom had large tears in two places. Kitchen was lovely but needed a good wipe down ! on arrival prior to unpacking. Overall our stay was excellent. Helen from Peterborough (28 December 2015)
A fantastic very spacious house in a great location for the beach and the lodge (for great food) at old hunstanton. Lynne from St. Albans (30 November 2015)
Great accommodation, with plenty of room for a party of 7 adults and a lovely location for walks to the beach and for access to other places on the coast. Also plenty of places to eat out without the need for taking the car. Would certainly go again!! Gordon from Ely (Was Hollingworth At Time Of Booking) (27 November 2015)
Lovely barn cosy yet spacious.fairly well equipped.excellent location.nice garden. Andrea from Royston (02 November 2015)
The property more than met our expectations everything was there that we needed and more. The welcome basket was really top notch and greatly appreciated. As a family break for six couples no one was disapointed so much so that we have already booked a week next year in this cottage. Linda from Doncaster (05 October 2015)
Fantastic cottage and location. Would recommend it to friends. Jenny from Sandy (02 October 2015)
Excellent well equipped cottage in a tranquil location. Would visit again. Jonny from Swinton, Rotherham (18 September 2015)
This was a lovely cottage in a great location. walking distance to the beach, lots of attractions, come rain or sun and good amenities close by. . as a party of 6 adults and 2 children this accommodation provided enough space for all and with three separate outdoor areas this was great for relaxing. I would definitely recommend this property to others. Lynsey from Essex (04 September 2015)
Huddlestones is a beautiful family house in a lovely location a short walk from coast. it is very well equipped and furnished . small issue was the house didn't seem to have been cleaned very well lots of cobwebs and windows and internal glass also lack of towels for a large family. besides that it was lovely and would definitely recommend. Maria from Leeds (14 August 2015)
Great location - so close to a lovely beach. house was fantastic - really well equipped and spacious with plenty of room for everyone. Claire from Rugby (07 August 2015)
Great location, the beach only 10 minutes away, accommodation amazing. Cannot recommend this property high enough. David from Royston (24 July 2015)
A fabulous place for a holiday, near to all amenities, quiet location, large garden to back , smaller garden to the side with table and chairs, huge bedrooms. 5 stars Derek from Kidderminster (29 May 2015)
Wonderful restored barn, silly things like bedside table lamps, only plug for one side, and very poor light for readers in bed. . some bulbs were not working. . as I say I am nitpicking and the overall experience was superb, I will certainly be back. . bryan & chris Bryan from Milton Keynes (22 May 2015)
The property was perfect it accommodated 7 people very well. Everything provided was to a very high standard. They even allowed us to use sky box office at no extra charge. Great location too! Janet from Bershire (08 May 2015)
