Just a lovely place to stay, so clean, quite location and well kept, excellent value for money. . not negatives in any way but the stairs would be steep for parents with young children or others with walking difficulties. Whilst the parking space is fine the entrance between the wall and the hedge could be tight for the larger car. Edward from Market Rasen (17 April 2017)
Lovely cottage, set in a pretty village. Close to all the main attractions. Would certainly book again. Ruth from Nottingham (07 April 2017)
My friend and I had a very pleasant weekend stay, and were very comfortable. the cottage is available for 4 people which might be slightly "cosy" in the lounge/dining area as only one sofa and one chair? the bedrooms were more spacious. the parking space outside would be rather tight for a large car. Frances from Kettering (29 January 2017)
My husband and I took my elderly mother to hollyhocks cottage for a few days recently. The cottage was clean and very comfortable except for the fact that the heating only came on for an hour each evening. The owners did say we could contact them to change this but this seems a long winded way of doing things. It was chilly early morning and in the late evenings (there was no thermostat to change the temperature). also, a minor but annoying thing, was that there were no tea towels provided. We knew there were no towels but were unaware that we needed to take tea towels with us!. otherwise hollyhocks cottage is a great little escape in a good location and if you are staying during the summer months this problem would not even exist! Melanie from West Sussex (21 October 2016)
We had a lovely few days at the cottage, very clean and in a nice village with fish and chip shop. Sadly we found the cottage was abit too small for us as a family. Would definitely visit again on a child free weekend away. Danielle (04 October 2016)
We enjoyed our stay.the cottage was very nice and clean and spacious . the two problems we had was the steepness of the steps and shower was difficult for us to get in and out. Joan from Sheffield (30 September 2016)
