We had a very enjoyable stay very comfortable clean lovely spot dogs enjoyed it to Paulette from Bognor Regis (12 May 2017)
I had a great weeks holiday only gripe was the bedroom radiator needs to be bleed as I was noisy and cold, and the washing line in the garden has fallen over, but I would go back again Colin from Rushden (31 March 2017)
Very nice & comfortable cottage.clean.well equipped.nice enclosed garden for dogs.plenty off road parking.main downfall on a busy thru road.quite difficult to get out sometimes. Joan from Northants (10 March 2017)
Out standing would definitely go again lovely views and very clean with everything u need would highly recommend thank u Donna from Ely (04 November 2016)
Well appointed, solid, cosy cottage, centrally and ideally situated for exploring the north norfolk coast. A lovely big kitchen with all the mod-cons and good sized enclosed garden that our two dogs really enjoyed. You definitely need a car to get around because, like most other norfolk country roads, the road outside the house has no footpath and so the presence of traffic prevents walking any distance. The off-road parking is spacious. We would definitely go back. Jim from Horsham, W Sussex. (28 October 2016)
Very old, tired and uncomfortable furnishings, none too clean. Bathroom facilities very poor. Garden dog friendly but overgrown, garden furniture not comfortable. We paid extra to bring our dogs but it didn't look like the carpets had been cleaned all season. We tried to vacuum before we left but the smell from the vacuum cleaner was disgusting. The dishwasher did not remove the stains in the cups and mugs. Angie from Northampton (17 October 2016)
Amazing time at heather cottage the garden was good for the pups who enjoying running around nice and comfortable Adawn from Chesterfield (07 October 2016)
This is a brilliant cottage, with every possible thing we could want/need. Beautiful kitchen and conservatory. Well equipped for folk with dogs too. Loved the old furniture in the lounge, the log fire and the old racing prints. A touch of the past, and obviously sentimental to the owner. Comfortable beds, modern and light, and good ensuite and bathroom. All in all, a lovely holiday cottage.m Ruth from Wilburton, Cambs (30 September 2016)
We had lovely weather & the cottage was very well equipped which all made our week's stay most enjoyable. Sandra from Barnstaple (09 September 2016)
Had a great time and the property is lovely. The kids loved the garden. The wifi was a great addition. . the sofa is a little dated now and a bit uncomfortable but that wouldn't stop us staying there again. . we would definitely go back. Andy from London (26 August 2016)
This cottage was probably the best rental cottage we have stayed in. it just had everything you needed and more. not many rental places leave you clean towels on the bed to use. they had even left fresh milk, delicious biscuits, and even dog treats in the cupboard. . it was clean, comfortable and completely kitted out; board games, books, dvds, even boule in the shed outside and crab lines and buckets. an exceptional cottage. The only down side is the busy road which is hard when you need to walk your dog, and when driving in and out of the driveway - but a small price to pay for such a great location and beautiful cottage - we will definitely go back some day! Emma from Aylesbury, Bucks (19 August 2016)
It is a nice cottage. We have enjoyed the holiday with the cottage. It is clean and well equipped has a big nice garden. . negative points are: . 1. It is located too close to a busy road. thus there is no way to take my dog for a walk. without using a car. and it is very noise from traffic. 2. There is no strong wifi network available in the area. . regards, Kanta from Nottingham (12 August 2016)
Scored it down on location due to the very busy road it was on Shane from Barnoldswick (05 August 2016)
Lovely, comfortable cottage, had everything we needed and more. . one problem, actually leaving the drive onto an exceedingly busy road, the users of which did not stick to the 40 mph limit. . would definitely love to stay there again. Ann from Charltons, Saltburn, Cleveland (20 May 2016)
Our second visit to heather cottage. I brought my 86 year old mother - it is great having a bedroom and bathroom/shower each. we both enjoyed our stays there. the only down side is the road. too busy to walk anywhere, which is a shame. Sue from Kettering Northants (05 February 2016)
We (2 couples) stayed at heather cottage for 3 nights over new years eve and loved it. We thought the cottage was in a great location as although it was on a busy road, it was secluded whilst still being within easy reach of amenities. There was also ample parking in the large driveway. . the open fire was great and there was plenty of wood provided for the first couple of fires. Even without the fire, the entire house was really warm and cosy. . . having two bathrooms was really convenient and both were very nice, particularly the family bathroom. . . we hosted a roast lunch on new years day and the kitchen was a pleasure to cook in - a large fridge freezer, decent oven, dishwasher and abundance of equipment. The caretaker even provided additional crockery for us which was really thoughtful. . a nice touch that dogs were also permitted in the house and garden as it meant our family pets could join us. However, for those who dont have dogs, there was no 'dog smell' when we arrived. . the one negative point (for us) is there was no wi-fi! because of the lack of phone signal this was a bit frustrating but then again it did make us all put our phones down ;). . all in all, I would highly recommend the cottage for a short break. . thank you. Amy from Norwich (03 January 2016)
Lovely cottage, exceptionally well provided. Road is noisy at busy times but otherwise perfect! Pamela from London (30 October 2015)
This cottage was one of the best we have stayed it. It was very well equipped and comfortable making our stay very enjoyable. . . two minor points that did not spoil our visit - . the information about the cottage mentioned a pub at one mile but it was at least 1.5 miles away down a busy road without pavements which made it impossible to walk to. . it might have been useful to also have some information on the walks from the house. Jacki from Hertfordshire (23 October 2015)
Excellent cottage with a fully enclosed garden suitable for pets (ours were dogs - 2) but the downside was the noisy road which was no fault of the cottage - just very busy fora b class road. Roy from Bury St. Edmunds. (16 October 2015)
Being a dog friendly cottage, the nearest beaches had restrictions in summer. Sea palling, 18 miles away was the best doggy beach in summer. The road is very busy, seemingly 24/7 and care needs to be taken leaving the property. The cottage itself is extremely well appointed with a lovely secure rear garden. A choice of nice pubs nearby. Andy from Barlow (14 August 2015)
Super cottage. clean and tidy. well equipped. large rooms and comfortable beds. First cottage I have stayed in which does not have extra equipment locked away. plenty of parking if needed. the back garden is quite large and fenced safely so dogs are secure. . . jessica Jessica from Witley, Surrey (04 January 2015)
A well organised and attractive cottage for up to four adults. Excellent for dogs with a good well fenced garden and a good local walk round the edge of the field across the road as well as nearby beach and cliff walks and felbrigg. The proximity of the "cromer by-pass" means that it is not particularly peaceful. Easy to light open fire with good supply of wood and large conservatory are other significant benefits. . we rarely go back to the same cottage but if we couldn't find another one which had an open fire and allowed dogs in north norfolk we would book again. Chris from Maidstone (24 October 2014)
A very well equipped cottage, and a lovely welcome with milk and tea , coffee and biscuits just what u need after any long drive. . great dog friendly cottage. We will be returning next year . Carrie from Dover, Kent (26 September 2014)
I paid extra for my dog thinking he would have a nice clean kennel to sleep in. There was a mat outside kennel which had grass growing from it,the inside was full of leaves and it looked as though it had not been cleaned for months. Inside the sofas were very low and had about 6 cushions on each which collapsed when you sat down. The back door did not lock properly so struggled with that every time we left house. Very disappointed. Will not be returning. Ii Elizabeth from Leamington Spa (19 September 2014)
The accommodation was very well equipped and clean. However, in particular the. Couches were rather low, uncomfortable and very difficult to get out of. t. He double bed was rather uncomfortable. . the traffic noise from the road outside was intrusive and very noisy at all times and. Could be heard from every room in the property. for this reason alone we would. Never stay in this property again. Customer 25 from Rugby, Warwickshire (12 September 2014)
Very comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage. However it is on a busy "rat-run" road and the traffic noise is appreciable. Mary from Harrogate (05 September 2014)
The cottage was sparklingly clean and very comfortable. Lots of welcoming touches made us feel cared for and very much at home. It is close to cromer for beach, station and shops and yet out in the countryside. the only downside is the road outside seemed quite busy. Karen from Hatfield (22 August 2014)
Lovely clean and comfortable cottage, sadly right next to a very busy and noisey road. The weather was amazing but could not use the garden as the traffic noise was so loud-not what we wanted for our hoiliday-a road noisey then where we live! Christine from Oxfordshire (25 July 2014)
We had a super holiday the cottage was perfect very very clean - garden very secure for our dog did not want to leave. Julie from Wrexham (13 June 2014)
Superb Mark from Swadlincote (04 October 2013)
Yes everything was fine the only thing I would mention is instructions for the microwave would be of value as we could not seem to get the microwave on other than with the grill. We did not use any other appliances other than the kettle and toaster. We had a problem with door clocks but these were attended to (2 faulty) Valerie from Sheffield (06 September 2013)
Exceptionally well appointed home with all mod cons. it comes highly recommended Diana from Ilford Essex (12 August 2013)
My sons and I loved the cottage and we were lucky with the weather. Enjoyed the barbecue and the croquet set in the garden. Handy for norwich and the coast. Patricia (19 Jul 2013)
The cottage is well equipped and laid out. Good bedrooms and particularly nice character lounge, kitchen and conservatory. . the garden is secure for dogs. Simon from Loughborough (05 Jul 2013)
Generally good all round, very clean and well presented. We enjoyed our stay there and would go back again. Frank from Northampton (21 Jun 2013)
Really warm and comfortable with lovely light rooms. Everything we needed was there (including properly sharp knives in the kitchen). very clean and a lovely welcome note + biscuits! we really enjoyed the roaring fire on the coldest days and I even enjoyed making an early morning coffee with the views from the kitchen. Anna from London (02 November 2012)
Real home from home with every comfort catered for! Janet (05 October 2012)
Although rural which we like, great location for sightseeing. Wonderful setup for animal lovers. We had a great holiday and we will be back. Sandra from Wrexham, North Wales (21 September 2012)
Very nice cottage.good for dogs. Nicholas from Mansfield (14 September 2012)
Clean and beautiful accomodation well placed to visit beaches and the broads. Jim from Horsham (31 August 2012)
Good cottage for two couples to share and very good enclosed garden for dog. Valerie from Thundersley (27 July 2012)
All in all a very good holiday. Downsides: though dogs are allowed, at arrival we found a note, that dogs are not allowed on the upper floor. The road the cottage in on is very busy, not a quiet location. One of the reasons we chose the cottage was the woods across the road, which turned out not apt to walk in with dogs, which means there are no safe walk possibilities directly from the cottage. We enjoyed our stay nonetheless. The cottage was superb, clean and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Any time again. Customer 42 (June 2012)
Everything we needed, lovely conservatory and enclosed gardens. Customer 43 (June 2012)
