A beautiful little cottage in lovely surroundings. Has everything you need inside and very friendly helpful hosts. . the cottage is very isolated with only 1 local pub for an amenity so you need a car to get around. Lisa from Barnet (01 May 2017)
Enjoyed my stay relaxing quiet and loved the woodpecker who visited the nuts! Heidi from Bedale (28 October 2016)
A lovely, compact, cottage, with use of lovely garden, in very rural area. Enjoyed our first visit to the isle of wight very much. Christine from Peterborough (09 September 2016)
Fantastic location to explore the iow. Lovely cottage with a beautiful garden. lots of nice small touches that make the cottage feel like your home for the week. Laura from Peterborough (27 May 2016)
The cottage had everything we needed but nothing extra (minimal crockery and glasses meant we had to put the dishwasher on quite often). the bath towels were very small and thin, which seemed a bit mean. The biggest problem was that the whole place smelt very damp and all our possessions smelt damp when we got home. Lynn, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming, and the cottage is generally comfortable and quietly and prettily located, but the damp smell and dark feel would put us off staying there again. Martin from Hereford (16 May 2016)
The accommodation was excellent. it would have been helpful however, to have a shelf/dressing table close to a mains plug in the bedroom to enable the use of a hairdryer with ease. the lead on the hairdryer was not long enough to enable easy use in front of a mirror. Confirmed Guest (19 February 2016)
The shower is dangerous, it is very easy to accidently move the temperature control/on/off handle to very hot whilst in the shower causing a possible scalding. Roger from Abberley, Worcestershire (25 September 2015)
We liked the cottage a lot. One thing bothered us a bit, and that was the showercubicle. The shower was too big for the cubicle. Guus from Nieuwegein (18 September 2015)
An excellent compact cottage ideally suited to a couple. Warm, clean and well equipped and the 'welcome pack' was well appreciated as were the fresh flowers on the table. Set in the owners lovely garden. Jim from North Lincolnshire (11 September 2015)
Excellent place to stay with the only noise was natures. Ideal place for walking along the coast headlands. Will certainly return later Nigel from Erith Kent (24 July 2015)
We found the cottage to be an ideal place to stay for our holiday on the isle of wight. It was clean, comfortable, and situated in a location that was ideal for visiting the various places of interest on the island . we would recommend the cottage wholeheartedly to couples who want a quiet place to stay on the island. A pair of binoculars are provided to allow the visitor to keep an eye on the varied wildlife that visit the area around the cottage. Much more enjoyable than watching television !. the isle of wight is a lovely place to have a holiday. There is a tremendous amount to see and do and we will certainly be back at some point in the future. Lee from Sheffield (17 July 2015)

Cottage clean and well appointed, friendly hosts, everything you needed for a week away. Charles from Sawston / Cambridge (31 August 2012)
Beautiful location, but very isolated. We were surprised to learn that there were no local pubs or conveniences within walking distance. The property was lovely & perfectly designed. The owners were very nice & welcoming. This is ideal for those seeking peace & quiet. Customer 24 (June 2012)
Well appointed comfortable cottage, in rural location but within easy reach of all the island’s attractions. Owners very welcoming and helpful. Customer 25 (May 2012)
Very helpful owners. The cottage serves as a hide and we enjoyed watching a wide variety of garden birds on the feeders which were close to the front door. This is a good location for walking especially on West Wight. Plenty of places to visit or other things to do if the weather is as bad as it was. Customer 26 (April 2012)
This was, without doubt, the most charming and superbly equipped cottage my wife and I have stayed in. The standards of finish and equipment were of a very high order and the attention to detail to make our stay so enjoyable was quite remarkable. The owners had thought of pretty well everything. The location was very quiet and peaceful with the south coast of the island very close by. A nearby village provided all the essentials you would want including a lovely village pub for eating out. Customer 27 (October 2011)
Beautifully appointed property in a restful, quiet location. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Customer 28 (October 2011)
Tucked away, just inland from the south coast of the Island, Heather Cottage provides an excellent retreat from the rush and bustle of normal life. Comfortably furnished the accommodation is ideal for couples, or a single resident. Conveniently situated for access, by car, to all parts of the Island. Customer 29 (September 2011)
Comfortable and well appointed cottage, ideal for two. Handy access to whole of island, lots of good walking. Customer 30 (July 2011)
Heather Cottage is a beautiful cottage set in a very peaceful and tranquil setting, which is an ideal base for exploring the whole of the Isle of Wight. Customer 31 (June 2011)
This is a lovely bijou cottage, quite small but very well equipped and decorated to a very high standard. The location is quiet and peaceful but not far from the Military Road which runs round the south part of the island so is ideally situated for exploring both east and west of the island. There is an excellent shop / deli with a lovely cafe at Chale Green, which is open until 9.00pm I believe and two very different pubs within 1.5-2miles of the cottage: The Wight Mouse in Chale (large, family oriented pub) and The Crown at Shorwell (nice local pub in a cute setting). Both do great food but The Crown is not so large and can get busy so best to go early! Customer 32 (May 2011)
The property was very clean, fully equipped with good quality furnishings, set in a lovely location and very quiet a lovely place to enjoy a break! Customer 33 (November 2010)
Well equipped kitchen, luxurious bathroom, well appointed furnishings. Peaceful location, lovely gardens. Customer 34 (September 2010)
Well appointed, attention to detail, all excellent. Customer 35 (July 2010)
Its cleanliness, friendly welcome and peaceful setting. Customer 36 (June 2010)
The West Wight setting is peaceful and relaxing. Customer 37 (April 2010)
Well furnished, lovely location in owner’s beautiful garden and beautiful part of the Isle of Wight with a stunning view from the patio. We haven’t given it excellent as we don’t think it was really big enough or suitable for a child (6 months) - even though we knew it was just one bedroom, it stated that high chair, travel cot was available, implying enough space for both. Customer 38 (September 2009)
Very clean and well equipped. Quiet location and helpful owners on site. Customer 39 (June 2009)
A very central location for exploring the Isle of Wight. The refurbishment of the cottage was top quality. A quiet location. Customer 40 (May 2009)
