Lovely cottage in a very nice location and peaceful. The only thing that I didn't like was the double bed. . when I booked the cottage I specifically asked if the owner could be asked if the bed was comfortable as I have arthritis. I was told that the owners were visiting and would check the bed. . the bed was uncomfortable and when I looked at the mattress it is badly stained which was a bit off-putting. . apart from that everything was good. Josephine from Brackley (24 June 2017)
Beautiful location. Quiet but accessible. Cottage was well furnished and well equipped. It gave us the peace and quiet we were looking for. It also gave access to so many interesting and beautiful sites of natural and historical interest. . we absolutely loved the experience and the fact we had our dog, riley, with us and he enjoyed the place so much only added to the experience. Stephen from Barnsley, South Yorkshire (03 June 2017)
Great little house in a very quiet area. Off the beaten track - on a single lane road - just what we were looking for. Confirmed Guest (12 September 2016)
Had a lovely time at hazelbank. Amazing location: no traffic, no pollution, no people, no phone signal, no internet. Loved it. Bed could do with a newer mattress and new pillows. Comfy living room and lovely gardens. Grace from Wigan (09 September 2016)
Nice cottage but in the middle of no where with no view except trees. Wendy from Portree (10 October 2015)
Lovely cottage with everything you need except in our case no mobile phone signal or wi-fi. that could be great in some instances but cut short our holiday due to a family emergency and not being contactable. if there had been a phone signal and wifi we could have stayed longer but returned after 3 days instead of 7. The double bed needs a new mattress too! otherwise a lovely home from home cottage in a beautiful, quiet location within reach of many interesting places to visit. will return to the area but for our peace of mind, it will need to be somewhere with wifi and phone signal. shame as really nice cottage. Shona from Burghead (26 September 2015)
Great location... a good place. Thank you Trevor from Chelmsford (19 September 2015)
We had a terrific time at hazelbank in the beautiful argyll countryside. we had ospreys soaring overhead and it was a short stroll to the banks of loch awe. it couldn't be beaten for location. Edward from Tiverton Devon (06 June 2015)
The shower is excellent but unfortunately the shower tray is very small and the shower curtain has a tendency to cling to your body. Gareth from Settle (01 November 2014)
We had a wonderful stay in this cosy, well equipped cottage. The area was beautiful and we would definately like to return as there were so many things we didn't get to do. Andy from Glasgow (13 October 2014)
Nice cottage, clean and warm.parking convenient.the cottage is opposite a nice small church and a shop which is unused and closed up.good scenery nearby. Michael from Kidderminster (27 September 2014)
We spent an enjoyable week in the cottage, but we would criticise three things:. 1. Lack of toilet and washing facilities upstairs [which we did know about]. 2. The shower tray is very small and the enclosure [a shower curtain] was inadequate to keep water within the tray. 3. lack of garden chairs disappointing, especially as it would be an attractive garden to sit in. Hazel from Mablethorpe (17 May 2014)
Very quiet and lovely cottage. Tea, coffee, toilet rolls and washing up liquid already in the cottage Sue from Doncaster (15 Jun 2013)
Loved the garden, perfect for children to play in. Very clean. Nancy from Clitheroe (12 April 2013)
Lovely, well equipped house. There was 4 adults and 1 infant in our group, and there was more than enough space for us all. Very clean and tidy. Lots of board games and books to use. Large garden, and off road parking for 2, possibly 3 cars. Niki from Stockton On Tees (16 February 2013)
Ideal location nice and peaceful spotlessly clean with a homely feel Malcolm from Stamford (21 September 2012)
Very clean, warm and cosy. Kitchen very well equipped, lots of information about local sights to visit. Lovely woodland walk up the road behind the cottage. Good sized garden for the dog to have a run around in. Amanda from Steeton, West Yorkshire (07 September 2012)
The property was warm and comfortable with a good kitchen and kitted out to a high standard . Follow the suggested directions and not the sat nav as sat nav takes you down a tiny B road that is hard to navigate . It takes some time to get around as you would expect on minor roads off the beaten track but the scenery makes up for it . The cottage is a good central location for a number of attractions including the beavers of Knapdale forest the main object of our visit - we did not see them so will have to return ! A great little property at the bottom of Loch Awe. It is remote, 10 min drive to nearest village and 45 min drive to nearest town (Oban) with full amenities but perfect for a secluded getaway. You must cycle the Crinan Canal trail (bike hire at Lochgilphead not at Crinan) and also take a Seafari. Amazing wildlife and scenery. Had a brilliant time. The only downside was the hamlet of Ford is on the logging road so be prepared for lorries in the early hours of the morning. Customer 19 (September 2011)

A lovely cottage in a very nice little village. There is lots to do in the area but the roads are generally small so there is some travelling time involved. Despite some pretty poor weather we all had a great time. Customer 21 (August 2011)
Excellent cottage. Well fitted out. Very modern. A bit out of the way but wonderful scenery. Customer 22 (June 2011)
A comfortable and cosy cottage! Customer 23 (June 2011)
Hazelbank is a beautifully presented property in a quiet rural location. It is ideal for a couple although the second bedroom would easily accommodate one other person. It is a perfect base for local walks and cycling trips. Customer 24 (April 2011)
Visit Kilmartin and go to the museum. And within one square mile of the museum, there are dozens of things to see, for example ancient monuments. Around the cottage it is really quite, and there is wonderful wildlife. Customer 25 (March 2011)
The cottage is great with enough parking for two cars. The stairs are fairly steep but we (two adults) had no problems with this. Customer 26 (March 2011)
Very comfortable, had everything one could need for your stay. Customer 27 (September 2010)
