Lovely cottage in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Had everything we needed. Highly recommended Sarah from North Hampshire (28 July 2017)
We had a wonderful stay and the cottage surpassed our expectations. Faith from Glasgow (21 July 2017)
Lovely cottage, we really enjoyed staying there. The immediate surrounding were lovely but just wish there had been more pubs and shops in the village. Kim from Buckinghamshire (14 July 2017)
Beautiful cottage, perfect place to unwind. The garden is private & peaceful. Would go there again. Having to open and shut two farm gates as you go up the drive is a bit of a pain, Chris from Leeds (23 June 2017)
Very nice cottage, nice quiet location easy access to main road to all main towns. Fully equiped with everything we needed. Lindsay from Ware (19 May 2017)
My first visit to this part of norfolk , totally fell in love with it. Great for dog owners with plenty of walks available . locals are friendly and helpful , would book again no problem. Confirmed Guest (16 September 2016)
The cottage was clean and adequately furnished. The general location was very good and the immediate surroundings were very convenient, i.e. The fields. The general maintenance of the cottage was below expectations, e.g. The kitchen lacked a range of basic utensils for self catering, the skirting boards in general needed fixing back, the french door glazing was v. Poor, toilet handle flush needed repair, the bathroom sink tap washers were dripping and the decoration was very tired. Not one of your best properties that we have stayed in. Phil from Farnham, Surrey (01 July 2016)
The cottage is in a great location for easy access to sight seeing and beautiful beaches which many are dog friendly. very cosy cottage with a fantastic garden and access to larger area for dogs to run about in. Bedrooms were great size and beds very comfy. Nearby, old hunstanton beach is a lovely sandy beach which is perfect for dogs to run on and not at all crowded. . . some lovely eating places and dogs are welcome in the bar area. First time in norfolk and I was away with my dad for the week with our dogs, will be looking forward to going again to north norfolk. Yvonne from Newbury, Berks (24 June 2016)
We had a very comfortable stay at grooms cottage, which is in a lovely location. Confirmed Guest (08 February 2016)
We had a wonderful time. Cottage comfortable, clean, warm and welcoming. Lovely location, plenty to do and see, more than enough local amenities. Helen from Northampton (09 March 2015)
We had a very enjoyable christmas at grooms cottage. it is situated in beautiful parkland and is a lovely, clean, comfortable and warm cottage. Vicky was so helpful and efficient when we found we'd left some of our belongings at the cottage. we would definitely go back. (for anyone with a dog there is a new fence all around the garden) John from Bedale (28 December 2014)
The cottage lacked books / dvds/ boardgames for nights in and rainy afternoons. in addition it hadn't been cleaned properly and looked a bit tired (eg ripped curtain / slat missing on a chair). the smoke alarm kept going off as did the carbon monoxide alarm, which when we were told to just take the batteries out of until they could call an electrician...this failed to happen for the whole week. opening the oven door once the oven is on, sets off the smoke alarm which doesn't make for very relaxing cooking (no there was no smoke!!)! lovely setting and comfortable beds, good garden, so it was a shame about the rest of it. the owners had failed to keep a cupboard full of essentials, which in this day and age is unusual, so there was no salt, pepper, oil, tea bags, washing up liquid. finally the kitchen utensils were poor, as well as scarce.....not one I would recommend until they get more proactive. Hannah from West Meon (15 August 2014)
A cosy little cottage in a pretty location, but very 'tired' and in need of repairs and decoration, and not very clean. The garden is not secure for dogs and there are not enough garden chairs for 5 as one is broken and another has been put to use by a previous holidayer to block a gap in the fence and is now overgrown with weeds. The 'children's play area' is a large roughly mown field with nettles - good for dogs but a gap under the field gate leading to sheep field makes it unusable. The rule 'no dogs upstairs' is a little difficult to follow, as there is no door to shut a dog in the kitchen and no stairgate provided. Luckily we took our dog's crate to sleep in! quite steep, slippery, uncarpeted stairs with a handrail only on one side. This could be a lovely holiday cottage if it was cleaned and better maintained. Angie from Northamptonshire (20 June 2014)
Comfortable cottage in very quiet location - only downside is gravel access road. Confirmed Purchaser from Essex (04 October 2013)
An attractive little cottage in a very pretty location. The kitchen is very small and old fashioned and lacks work space. Confirmed Purchaser (05 Jul 2013)
Lovely outlook from front door, warm, plenty of hot water, comfortable beds, well furnished and well kept in a nice location. Matt from Virginia Water (31 May 2013)
