Very comfortable with everything we needed, quite and peaceful, within easy reach of beautiful walks and good places to eat. Pamela from Lowestoft (31 July 2017)
Grey ladies is a very well equipped cottage. There were excellent walks with the dog straight from the door. Short drive to many places we like to visit like sheringham park, sheringham, felbrigg house and aylsham and not far from holt. A great place for a relaxing holiday. Sandra from Huddersfield (16 June 2017)
Lovely little cottage, quiet and out of the way, perfect base to see northeast norfolk. Craig from Barnsley (30 March 2017)
We had a great time away, just some minor issues. The doorway to the living room needs highlighting really as my husband caught his head twice. Customer 4 from Lincoln (27 March 2017)
Excellent location for us to explore and do our bird watching. great to be able to leave car at base and walk. Elizabeth from Northampton (23 March 2017)
Lovely quirky cottage with everything included that was required. Suitable for pets with enclosed garden. Would recommend this as a great place to stay. Simon from Lincoln (12 March 2017)
Just not for us .also should have signs over low door and stairs. as we fell down the stairs both of us and bang our head on the door frame Christopher from Newcastle Upon Tyne (04 January 2017)
Lovely cottage , wood burner and facilities very good Nick from Northampton (28 October 2016)
Grey ladies is cosy and well heated and has a very good shower. The utensils provided were very good, including a slow cooker. It also has walks from the door, if you like walking. However, the description of fridge/freezer being available is not entirely true. It is a small fridge, with a very small freezer compartment, with the door missing, which caught us out in terms of bringing frozen food. We managed to fashion a cover from tin foil and got it working to some degree. Also, the light and extractor fan over the cooker is broken. To be fair to the owners, maybe they are not aware of these things and are hoping to fix/replace things during the winter months? James (18 October 2016)
General property and garden slightly smaller than expected. parking arrangements not ideal. logs in wood basket consisted of 6 small pieces of wood. Still had a great time loveley location to explore the norfolk coast. Colin from Lincolnshire (05 September 2016)
Stunning cottage in beautiful surrounding and super close to everthing needed to make a holiday with our without children. Gemma from Cambridge (02 September 2016)
Super little cottage, good, peaceful location. All we needed for our weeks stay. No issues with quality cleanliness and facilities. We would return for another break. Michael from Benfleet (26 August 2016)
A beautiful cottage in a lovely setting. The owner rang the night before we arrived to explain how everything worked. Really friendly. Only drawbacks: no washing machine and stairs are very steep so need to take care if you've got young children running about. James from Selby (19 August 2016)
Property was a little smaller than expected. Head height coming out of the living room was an issue. June from Loughborough (12 August 2016)
An ideal cottage for our week in north norfolk. very comfortable and clean with nice modern bathroom and kitchen. well-equipped and nice not to have to worry about taking our own bed linen and towels. friendly neighbours too. Anne from Derby (05 August 2016)
Nice little cottage in a quiet area. Downside for us was we had to drive to get anywhere as the village is just a few houses. Upside it seems the owners take note of comments and act upon them as we had things like bath mats provided which I had read to be a negative before we travelled. Steven from Mansfield (15 July 2016)
Nice place. Very comfortable. Parking difficult. Bed clothes inadequate Confirmed Guest (26 May 2016)
Fantastic stay Confirmed Guest (25 April 2016)
A few points affecting the score - no bathmat; inadequate lighting in dining room and bedside lamps; no dishwasher; no shelves in bathroom; shower tray very slippery. But generally we were pleased with the cottage and enjoyed our stay Richard from Stafford (21 March 2016)
A lovley well presented cottage very clean and everything cattered for Colin from Cambridge (06 March 2016)
A fabulous cosy cottage in a wonderful location. Very comfortable and every need catered for. close to stunning beaches and all amenities. loved it and would definately visit again Sarah from Bury St Edmunds (26 February 2016)
The cottage had all we needed (except a tea towel!) and the wood burning stove made us very cosy for a february break. The best shower we have had in a cottage!!. we used only one bedroom but perhaps there should be a warning that the second bedroom opens directly onto the stairs and could be a risk for young children or elderly, especially as the toilet is downstairs. We,including dog, would be happy to go back again. Kathy from Suffolk (19 February 2016)
Perfect base for exploring. Customer 23 from Bristol (12 February 2016)
Fantastic little cottage that met all our expectations. Had a lovely mini moon thanks to these lovely owners who were so very helpful and kind. Definitely would come back our dogs loved it. Thank you Olivia from Bedford (03 February 2016)
The main disappointment was that there was no basket of fuel for the log burner on our arrival. not that we needed it - but it was a promise. the cottage is bijou even for two of us and would be a bit cramped for four. the door out of the lounge into the dining area is dangerous - could do with something to highlight the very low clearance. beds very comfortable and facilities generally very good - though would have benefited from a cd player John from Derby (15 October 2015)
We had a great stay at grey ladies. the cottage was very quiet and neighbours very friendly. The stay could have been made better if the dog rules were made clear prior to arrival and also no fuel for the log burner was left out. Confirmed Guest (12 October 2015)
We enjoyed our stay very much at grey ladies. Everything was there for our needs. . if we were to be critical of anything, it would be the fact that the superb bathroom was not upstairs but all in all a lovely cottage in a great location. Barry from Davis (09 October 2015)
Suited what we wanted a bed and somewhere to relax. Very friendly owner and secluded location. Will book again. David from Coventry (21 September 2015)
Lovely holiday, beautiful cottage, great location Margaret from Rushden (24 July 2015)
Although you state that the staircase is extremely steep, which it is, you make no mention of the fact that the exit from the twin room is even more difficult than the steep staircase. The hand-rail stops before the end of the stairs and it is difficult to negotiate the final steps into the dining room. . . on arrival we found a note on the cooker saying it was not working and parts were awaited, and so we were without a cooker for most of the week. We called the owner who apologized and offered £30 in compensation, which we are still waiting for. . . the property is unsuitable for elderly people and young children Bob from London (19 June 2015)
Good clean cottage which fulfilled all our requirements. Very pleased. David from Northampton (12 June 2015)
Well appointed cottage ideal for exploring the north norfolk coastline. a nice little cottage but beware if you are tall as the ceiling height is a challenge in some rooms. we were blessed with good weather which made our trip. James from Worcester (10 April 2015)
Really lovely cottage and location. Clean and comfortable. Sophie from Norwich (06 April 2015)
Cottage was good size and location for my purposes of seeing several lots of old friends. east beckham was a great little hamlet, very friendly. wasn't over impressed with cottage standard of cleanliness (ie it was by no means spotless) but it was okay. next guests would probably appreciate a stair light that worked and a cleaned mug in the bathroom. if I lived there, i'd have to say something about the lights on all night at peacock cottage! shower was fantastic, cottage was warm. dog and I enjoyed lovely walks from the door. Ros from Halstead (23 March 2015)
Great spot , plenty of good walks Paul from Cheadleven Heath (20 February 2015)
The cottage was very well equipped (kitchen) and ideal for our break Ms from Essex (04 January 2015)
Nice hideaway cottage. not sure if walking far from the cottage advisable due to heavy farm machines using small roads. very comfortable and clean. Teresa from Ipswich (03 October 2014)
Beautiful cottage, nice and quiet location.pet friendly- our dog loved it too. Clean and tidy. Kitchen very well equipped. Would love to stay there again and will recommend to family and friends Alison from Doncaster (19 September 2014)
