Lovely stable that is ideal for a get away break for two. Couple that own this are very friendly and helpful. The only comment I have is the mud, take your wellies as its a farm and if raining you will need your boots! Sonia from Drinkstone (29 July 2017)
Green farm is an ideal & very peaceful base for exploring north norfolk. there are dog friendly beaches, even in the summer when there are some exclusion areas, both at sheringham & cromer. Proprietors, roy & mary, are friendly & helpful & there were a good number of tourist leaflets for local attractions. Plenty of pubs & other eating establishments where dogs are welcome & local shops & businesses provide a plentiful number water bowls for thirsty dogs. Fresh eggs from hens kept on the farm, available for purchase virtually every day. John from Petts Wood, Kent (22 July 2017)
Used cottages for you 6 times been excellent. This one too small to swing a cat. Joan from Peterborough (10 June 2017)
Nice place but could do with a good cleaning . dog hairs on rugs . around bath mound was present . pots and pans need updating Peter (13 May 2017)
Really good hosts, had trouble with our dogs and they helped out. Definitely recommend Tina from Plumstead (15 April 2017)
Cosy getaway with well equipped kitchen. Tranquil surroundings and helpful owners on site. Cathy from Manchester (01 April 2017)
Coming back here feb 2017! dogs really enjoyed their holiday and it was nice revisiting many of our favourite places Phillip from Southwold (15 October 2016)
Brilliant owners but the place was a bit tired and bathroom was poor. Mike from Ipswich (03 September 2016)
Great place to stay for a relaxing break Jill from Tintwistle (27 August 2016)
Unfortunately the bed and sitting room chairs are very uncomfortable Peter from London (06 August 2016)
Perfect for visiting north norfolk coast, welcoming hosts and grounds full of wildlife and farm animals. Lots to do and see if you like the english countryside. No phone signal o2 or vodafone on site but ok near local towns. We may well return. Gordan from Windsor (21 May 2016)
We really liked the location, the pond and the chickens. Public footpaths on the doorstep too.it was also very well placed for us to visit old haunts and new as we love the area around holt. But we found the stable cottage just too small for us . we would opt for one of the larger ones in future. Christine from Eat Sussex (05 March 2016)
On arrival the heating wasn't working and after informing owners eventually got fixed on day 4 of our stay, we were given a fan heater but this only heated 1 room. Would have been alright if in the summer but not during the recent cold period. Trevor from Chesterfield (23 January 2016)
Loved it! Confirmed Guest (09 November 2015)
A lovely stay in a well-situated, cosy cottage. Emma from Bishop'S Stortford (31 October 2015)
Ok but a bit grubby in places. light in bathroom didn't work and shrubs around door needed trimming. lots of wasps around car parking. Richard from Tewkesbury (19 September 2015)
A wonderful retreat hidden down country lanes, a perfect setting to enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside yet ideally located for the picturesque market town of holt. The splendour of the victorian seaside town of cromer is a mere 20 minutes drive away and is definitely worth a visit if only for the award winning pier and wonderful selection of independent shops. . the cottage itself is adequately but simply furnished and any gadget you can't find, you wouldn't need anyway. The cottage is well equipped and yes it is bijoux, compact, small, call it what you will but you will be hard pressed to find a nicer location with friendly owners on hand to answer any questions you may have .. treat yourselves to the freshly laid eggs, far superior to the shop bought ones. . a true gem in the norfolk jewel chest, we will definitely be back. Darren from Lancaster (20 June 2015)
It is a place more for people with animals as we noticed dog odours in the cottage and we did not have a dog. . a pretty place but quite remote, we had thought it was a little nearer to holt. Good if you have dogs. The owners were nice people. Elaine from Suffolk (06 June 2015)
Lovely location nice building let down by poor furnishing and kitchen equipment.worst bed I have ever tried to sleep in. Bob from Harlow (27 February 2015)
Lovely property, very warm and well appointed. would certainly recommend. Shirley from Dartford (15 November 2014)
The very definition of 'cosy', this cottage is certainly compact but it's also spotlessly clean, well equipped and located in lovely farmland in the middle of the north norfolk countryside. Taller folks should be aware of the upstairs roof beams (especially in the bathroom), while romanced-up couples should note that there is not sofa to snuggle up on, only two individual (and fairly uncomfortable) armchairs - but overall this cottage is a perfectly decent place to base yourself for a week or so away. Despite its size we certainly didn't feel in any way claustrophobic, even with a 6-month old baby to accommodate. Recommended if you're happy to sacrifice on the space. James from Berkshire (28 June 2014)
Very happy and impressed with thoughtfulness' of the owners.tea coffee milk were left among other things for us,and if needed the use of a kennel for the dogs was available. Great holiday may go fir the larger cottage next time, stable was a little snug. Legg from Essex (21 June 2014)
The stable had everything we needed but if we stayed at green farm again we would prefer one of their other properties, either the orchard, or flint cottage, as these are both detached . . the stable is joined on to the coach house which sleeps five, not ideal if you want peace and quiet as their front door is only six feet away, this is not shown on the photo of the stable. Luckily for us it was not occupied the week we stayed, flint cottage is also a lot closer than it looks on the photo's. Kath from Retford (14 June 2014)
The brochure states there is a fridge/freezer. There is only a small icebox in a fridge-no freezer. There are very low beams right above the bed and above the bath in the way of having a safe shower. Richard from Rayleigh (03 May 2014)
Just what we needed, a relaxing get away from it all holiday. Would definitely recommend this if you want somewhere peaceful. Julia from Lincs (01 March 2014)
Had a really good time and the dogs love it, we hope to stay again Kate from Sleaford (17 February 2014)
Ideal holiday base for a short break birdwatching. compact but with everything we needed. wonderful shower! Mark from Preston (14 February 2014)
Exactly what it says it is. warm and comfortable we quickly learned to avoid the beams. friendly, helpful proprietor. Ron from Crowborough (03 February 2014)
Only down fall was needed a sofa to sit on for comfort as the chairs were . so uncomfortable we sat on the floor to watch television in the evenings . other than that a perfect retreat . Maria from Essex (04 January 2014)
It was a very well appointed &peaceful, the owners were very friendly & obliging. a lovely place! Raymond from Earl Shilton, Leicester (28 December 2013)
Excellent barn, very cosy and clean, a lovely holiday Kay from Harlow (15 November 2013)
A wonderful spot in the country to stay. The only slight problem we had was we found the orthopaedic double bed mattress too hard. The owners were very kind and supplied extra underlay. But in every other respect the stables were a very nice holiday venue. John from Maidstone (05 October 2013)
Central to all the places we wanted to visit and a nice homely base. Chris from Lincoln (28 September 2013)
Very peaceful. owners are lovely. Bathroom not so good. difficult to get phone or internet connection which was fine for us, but might be a bother to others. Confirmed Purchaser (31 August 2013)
The stable was clean n comfortable although a bit shall we say cosy the owner's were lovely , fresh milk tea coffee n jam n biscuit's was a nice touch Linda from Rotherham (10 August 2013)
Very peaceful and quiet. No noise from cars or people. Long walks and early nights. Overall a very nice and I would go again. Geraldine from Plumsteadgreen (03 August 2013)
Great, very quiet, location. Well placed for visiting the north and east coast line. Thoughtful, milk and tea/coffee provided. Richard (13 Jul 2013)
Overall the stable was comfortable and spacious and catered for all our needs. Jean from Redbourn (08 Jun 2013)
Pleasant surroundings, many areas available to explore within short distance. owners pleasant and helpful. Confirmed Purchaser from Blandford Forum (27 April 2013)
The property was as described compact and apt for 2 in a very rural location. Quiet and tranquil christmas break just what the doctor ordered. Friendly and helpful owners who will do all they can to help you with your stay. Vivien from Ipswich (29 December 2012)
