Pleasant and comfortable. We were four and think that six people would be a bit of a push. I'm ok with night storage heaters but there's a need to give instructions about how to best use them. Confirmed Guest (07 October 2016)
Cottage comfortable in most aspects but chairs in lounge uncomfortable tv quite small and not all freeview channels available . storage heaters not suitable for a holiday cottage . otherwise very spacious and very quiet Confirmed Guest (30 September 2016)
The cottage and walsingham were in the perfect location for visiting north norfolk, being close to all of the north norfolk coast. we really enjoyed our short time at folgate cottage and would definitely book it again Andrea from Preston (24 June 2016)
Had a lovely wkend at cottage , was in nice location , cottage was clean and comfortable , highly recommend Confirmed Guest (28 March 2016)
This is a lovely cottage, close to all the best bits of the north norfolk coast. Quiet, convenient, well-equipped - but cold.. Nell from London (15 February 2016)
The cottage is in a very quiet location a short distance from little walsingham which has a couple of restaurants, a good farm shop and a rather good chocolate shop. . the cottage was clean and tidy and, once the storage heaters were adjusted, fairly warm. The kitchen is compact with one corner cupboard containing the pots and pans rather difficult to reach into. Whilst there is plenty of crockery, the glassware provided needs to be updated. Angela from Bristol (30 October 2015)
This is the second time we have stayed here. Good place to stay and a good site to visit norfolk Howard from Newcastle Staffs (02 October 2015)
Wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. It fitted the needs of our family of 5, with young children brilliantly. Thank you Nickie from Braintree, Essex (21 August 2015)
The property was advertised as dog friendly and we were delighted to be able to take our dog along with us. However, the garden was not dog proof - surely an essential for such a cottage. This did not spoil our time at the cottage and surrounding area but we feel that the owners could easily rectify this problem by adding a garden gate. Jayne from Preston (31 July 2015)
Lovely cottage, quiet, pretty location. Heating & hot water fantastic once switched on:-) walking distance to local pubs with food, advise booking in advance as quite busy. Customer 10 from Derby (06 April 2015)
Heatng system was almost impossible to adjust and when we arrived in mid december it was switched low and was not warm to come in to. Downstairs bathroom lacked a heated towel rail or any form of permanent heating and as this was serving a couple in their 80's they did not feel like showering in such uninviting conditions. (in december!). wood burner unusable as, after initial burning there was no wood and no indication as to where to get any. Ther was an indication as to a spare freezer available in the garage but the key hole was blocked - perhaps there was some wood in there?. this spoiled an otherwise very comfortable stay. Geoff from Wisbech (15 December 2014)
Nice cottage clean and well equipped. The layout worked very well for us. We were three generations so the downstairs bedroom meant that we were completely undisturbed by early morning risers. A fault with a tap was quickly sorted out by alan the caretaker. Would have been better if the water had been a little hotter or if there was an immersion heater to boost supplies at bathtime. Customer 12 from Wakefield (15 August 2014)
Excellent property spoilt only by poor tv and service from the caretaker. Leslie from Leicester (01 August 2014)
Wonderfully peaceful setting but close to many places of interest. . . real scope for staying at cottage and taking it easy or for venturing out to explore north norfolk. . would certainly use this as a base again. Michele from Essex (21 February 2014)
Brilliant accommodation. a really enjoyable location. Sue from Coventry (23 August 2013)
This is a comfortable and well equipped modern cottage. Many of the north norfolk attractions are within a twenty minute drive. Walsingham centre is a twenty minute walk and offers a good fish and chip shop with a restaurant attached, a great farm shop and the abbey museum and grounds. We had a great two weeks. Yannis from Teddington (02 August 2013)
