The cottage is very pretty, well equipped and cosy. The area has lots of walks. . unfortunately the open fire was out of use which was a real shame as we wanted to experience true cottage living. the weather was very cold at that time too so we agreed that we could take an oil filled radiator. A downstairs or second useable toilet would have been useful as one bathroom between six people took considerable negotiation and compromise. Sarah from Stoke-On-Trent (25 February 2017)
A lovely, cosy little cottage which provided a great base to explore from. We didn't know the area at all so I would be aware that it is on a main road which is busy from the early hours until late so can be a bit noisy. It gets full sun on the front so can also get very warm (we took a fan which helped) but I would definitely book again if we return to that area of wales. Jan from Dagenham (17 September 2016)
Comfortable and clean and rural. Good for walks. Sylvua from Aylesburu (03 September 2016)
It is a wonderful location with lots of walks in some beautiful countryside. We visited b ffestiniog and had a lovely trip on the steam railway and also bounce below which our 14 year old grandson enjoyed. We also visited llandudno of course mount snowdon and lots of other places. It was a shame that the tv reception is bad as we could not get any bbc channels so could not keep up with the olympics. Also the garden is not enclosed for our dog as advertised so we had to prop something up between us and next door. Overall a nice little cottage in a wonderful location. Barbara from Knodishall (20 August 2016)
Had a great time. no bbq thought it said that there was one?. lovely views from cottage. Very easy location to reach .attractions. Dorothy from St Neots (30 July 2016)
Nice house and location, severely let down by the cleaning and state of repair. Tv aerial bare wire hanging out (fixed) upper bunk bed dangerous plus v hard to get up ladders. Owners need to review level of cleaning as a matter of urgency. Andy from Scunthorpe (04 June 2016)
Very nice and clean cottage Mike from Northampton (03 October 2015)
Really enjoyed our stay apart from the beds was very uncomfortable. Wales is beautiful and the cottage is lovely . Angela from Erith Kent (19 September 2015)
Very cosy cottage in beautiful and convenient location. Nigel from Long Eaton (12 September 2015)
Fab cottage, has everything you could want and very central to the tourist attractions Tracy from East Sussex (05 September 2015)
The house could do with a good clean. when we arrived the previous occupant bikini was in the washing machine, there were cobwebs everywhere, previous occupants rubbish under the beds. . . the views are amazing and the location is brilliant but I just felt the need to have to0 clean everything before I used it. Donna from Reading (29 August 2015)
Lovely little cottage. It is on a reasonably sized road, but that didn't bother us, there is not a huge amount of traffic. . the only slight issue was that the bins did not get emptied, but the owner got in touch with the council, so that should be resolved now. Glenn from Southam (22 August 2015)
Top marks, beautiful location, great value, home from home, fully equipped with essentials. Will definitely return as very well located for exploring snowdon and snowdonia national park amongst many other places. Swallow falls is a must see and only a 10 minute drive from the cottage. Stunning scenery to wake up to as surrounded by hills, trees and the sound of the river. Marie from Wimbledon (08 August 2015)
Best holiday cottage we have had to date. Very comfortable and clean with lovely views. Susan from Rosyth Fife (18 July 2015)
I have stayed at dolbryn many times. I find the location is lovely, quiet but easy to travel to betws-y-coed, snowden, blaenau ffestiniog and not far to the coast of portmadog, so is central. the facilities and parking is good although when coming from blaenau you do need to give the car a full turn up the hill but am used to stopping the traffic to do it!. . this year when I stayed I was pleased the old spooky pictures of welsh families from the 1800s on the landing have been replaced with flowers. Whenever I visit family and friends in wales I always stay at dol bryn Olwen from Lincoln (09 May 2015)
We arrived at this cottage on saturday to find the tv wasn't working and the heater in the living room had been turned off. This was reported on the day of arrival to the owner who advised me to contact the housekeeper. The housekeeper did call twice to fix tv, it was the tuesday before it was working. The heating was switched on, however as it was a night storage heater it would be expected to charge overnight. The following morning there was still no heating in the living room, again reported the issue, this did not get fixed until the thursday, again would only heat overnight so no heating until friday which was the date we were leaving. We bought logs and coal for the open fire, there seemed to be a grate missing from the fire, it did not seem to heat the living area. The cottage was dark and gloomy and in need of refurbishment. . there was restricted space to move around in both bedrooms, the main bedroom due to a wardrobe, and in the second bedroom the heater . the cottage was in a good location for us as we enjoy walking. Lynda from Newcastle Upon Tyne (02 May 2015)
Enjoyed the time Confirmed Guest (11 April 2015)
Great cosy cottage set in the welsh mountains perfect for anyone wanting to get away David from Wymondham (04 April 2015)
We found the cottage far too remote. . we found the double beds quite difficult to get into on the left hand side due to wardrobe/fire place/storage heater. . just a point of note, the bins had not been emptied for what looked like weeks. Helen from Isle Of Wight (01 November 2014)
Great, comfortable, clean, well equipped cottage. Great to have the lovely river directly opposite and the train station meant that the husband could take a break from having to drive. The train journey was very scenic... the dog particularly enjoyed it. . lovely cottage in a truly beautiful area. Thanks for lending it to us. Confirmed Purchaser (02 August 2014)
Excellent cottage only downside was beds could be more comfortable Customer 21 from Ormskirk (31 March 2014)

Great cottage, very clean and well presented. It was well stocked and felt like a home from home. It was very warm and cosy. We may well return here. Emma (28 July 2012)
Happy to accept dogs. Very clean. Nice character. Andy from Ottershaw (21 July 2012)
Overall the property was lovely, warm and cosy, we had a good time despite the weather. We appreciated the heating being on through the day, but would have liked to control it ourselves. Driving access from Dolwyddelan necessitated driving past the cottage to a convenient turning point and then retracing our footsteps. The views from the cottage were excellent, it was "interesting" watching the river flood the field opposite during the horrendous rain we experienced, but it quickly receded to the flood plain it is. There had been vast improvements to the roads around North Wales since our last visit which cut down travelling time greatly. Wildlife beside the cottage was interesting - buzzards, owls, squirrel, dormouse, many other small birds. The cottage and location was very suitable for our dog who made herself at home quickly. Customer 27 (June 2012)
We were very pleased to see the TV had been updated to a larger screen. TV is an essential part of a holiday for many people especially on rainy days and cold nights. Customer 28 (May 2012)
Lovely little cottage. Parking is behind the cottage and you have to turn up the lane just before the cottages to park. The instructions don’t tell you this. Customer 29 (March 2012)
Great for a quiet break, peaceful, beautiful location. Customer 30 (February 2012)
We had a lovely time in Dol-Bryn. The adjacent road was perfect for us as we needed accesibility and everything was tip top and as described. Customer 31 (October 2011)
The cottage was on a main road and there was a tidy walk to the village BUT it was comfortable and cosy and provided everything you could need. It was also ideally placed for visiting the major attractions of the area and set within breathtaking scenery. Overall it was beautiful and a perfect place for a holiday. Customer 32 (July 2011)
The cottage was warm cosy clean and comfortable. Even though it was on a busy main road it was still very nice place to stay. We are thinking of booking again in the autumn. Central for many places and the walks so close by. 10 out of 10 for this lovely cottage. Customer 33 (June 2011)
A really lovely cottage right in the heart of Snowdonia. Very warm, clean and comfy. The weather was not to good, but we still made it to the top of Snowdon and what a wonderful view we had. Overall a very good holiday, many thanks. Customer 34 (June 2011)
Cottages was spotless, warm and welcoming. Very well kitted out and everything worked perfectly. Local Spar shop is excellent - sells practically everything and staff are very helpful. Please feed the fat(!) tame robin that inhabits the garden. Customer 35 (April 2011)
Fantastic cosy property with everything that we needed. Customer 36 (February 2011)
We found the kitchen spacious and well equipped. The sitting room with open fire was very cosy. Customer 37 (December 2010)
Very cosy, clean, and warm, great wood fire and close to the village and pub! Customer 38 (December 2010)
The cottage was lovely. It had an old and rustic appearance whilst also having all the modern items you’d expect and need. It was clean and warm. The surrounding area was beautiful and the views across the fields and mountains from the bedroom windows were fantastic. It also had interior doors which could be shut - this was really good as we have a toddler who is into everything! Customer 39 (August 2010)
Good location, clean tidy. Customer 40 (July 2010)
Very clean, cute little cottage, which gave a real feel for the local village. Loved the open fire and the wood beams. Customer 41 (July 2010)

Dol Brynn is a lovely cottage in a great location. It is a place that you can chill or go for a walk. Customer 46 (May 2009)
The cottage is very homely and welcoming. The great location is Ideal for whatever you wish to do on your visit. Customer 47 (February 2009)
We were most pleasantly surprised just how well equipped Dol Bryn Cottage in Dolddwelan was. It really was a home from home. Our last visit to Snowdonia was almost 30 years ago - but we’re already contemplating going back again in 2009 to the same cottage, so impressed were we with the standard of the accommodation. Customer 48 (June 2008)
Dol Bryn is in an excellent position. Ideal for any activity you wish to take part. Customer 49 (February 2008)
I thought the cottage was really charming with some lovely period features. It was immaculately clean and our every need was catered for. Thank you. Customer 50 (February 2008)
