We had a really lovely week at cruachan lodge and particularly enjoyed the hot tub and watching the birds and red squirrel on the balcony. The lodge was spotlessly clean and very homely and the owners made us feel very welcome both on arrival and throughout the week. This is a beautiful part of scotland with lots of places to visit. Thank you sam and jim for a great holiday. Confirmed Guest (28 July 2017)
We stayed at cruachan lodge for the wkend & it was everything I wanted, if you want to go & do the sightseeing side of it then it's all there for you, we on the other hand just wanted a relaxing break, the cottage has everything you need. The prosseca & scones on arrival were a lovely touch. We would definitely go back Lillias from West Lothian (14 May 2017)
Stayed at cruachan lodge first week in may and can give nothing but praise! the lodge itself is first class with everything you need for your stay. We loved the log burner when the evenings turned cooler and made plenty use of the hot tub. the owners sam and jim made you so welcome and were very informative about the local area. the homemade scones and bubbly on arrival were such a nice touch along with the fresh eggs. Thanks for such an enjoyable week. Elaine and george Elaine from Glasgow (12 May 2017)
Really enjoyed our stay at this great lodge. Would highly recommend. Confirmed Guest (02 May 2017)
We had an amazing week staying at the lodge. We went travelling around the beautiful countryside most days and then would come back and relax in the hot tub while our 8-month old son was asleep in the evenings. This is the most beautiful part of the country in my opinion and the lodge was a lovely place to explore from. But equally the lodge itself is comfortable enough to stay local. . sam and jim made us so welcome and helped out with local tips and directions and even provided some great fresh scones on arrival. The only reason for the slight drop in score is because the kitchen might need a couple of extra bits. Cafetière would be pretty crucial to many people we know, for example. . we are used to rural holiday locations, so the track to the house and the lack of phone signal/internet were not a problem. In return you get red squirrels on the balcony in the morning and lochs, bens and glens just up the road, so it's hardly a sacrifice. We even appreciated being cut off from the world (there is sky tv if you're desperate). . we really do recommend staying here. Spend some time in the hills and forests and some time in the hot tub. We will definitely go back for our next scottish holiday. Ben from Worcester (28 April 2017)
We had the most wonderful time at the lodge. it was spotlessly clean, modern and very cosy and samantha and james were so welcoming and just next door if we had any issues. We only marked amenities down as a 7/10 as there weren't many but this is way we expected and wanted as due to the location it is lovely to have landscape instead of shops everywhere. that said, there is a lovely pub 2 minutes drive away which is modern and serves lovely food. The lodge was such a great find and we cannot wait to return. Lynsey from Littlehampton (21 April 2017)
Absolutely fantastic cabin. Everything you need is included and the owners are fantastic. Will definitely return! Steve from Newcastle (14 April 2017)
This is a lovely place to stay with luxury finishes. Owners are so friendly and helpful. Hot tub is wonderful and the surroundings are great for kids adventures. Home made scones with cream and jam on arrival were delicious. Definitely go again! tranquility personified. Lisa from Glasgow (02 April 2017)
A lovely place to stay, spotlessly clean, cosy and warm with floor to ceiling windows to view the abundant wildlife. The hot tub and log fire were very much appreciated too. The owners are very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Maz from Grantham (18 March 2017)
