Had a great stay. The cottage was perfectly formed and very cosy. The shower was fab and plenty of hot water. The complimentary bottle of wine was a lovery touch too. We would definitely visit again.
Kirsty from Barnsley (28 July 2017)

Great cottage , location perfect, good dog walks, would definitely stay again , the bed was uncomfortable but maybe that's just our opinion . enjoy
Confirmed Guest from Enjoy (14 July 2017)

A delightful little norfolk flintstone cottage tucked away in a quiet row just off blakeney high street. Small but not in the least cramped; perfect for two. the kitchen area has all essentials, including a freezer and small dishwasher, and is well equiped. we slept extremely well in the comfortable bedroom and were impressed with the power of the efficient shower in the small but perfectly adequate bathroom. Well situated for exploring the beautiful north norfolk coastline, and further afield, and with good places to eat on the doorstep we would certainly recommend this little cottage and hope to return ourselves in the not too distant future.
A J (23 June 2017)

The lack of wifi in a 5 star cottage was a nusiance.
Customer 4 (16 June 2017)

The lounge settee was extremely uncomfortable but every thing else was brilliant. Bigger frying pan would be good and wifi a must. Overall I would love to go back
Ally from Norwich (22 May 2017)

Fantastic, white horse pub/restaurant amazing, . great venue
Raymond from Clacton (21 March 2017)

A really lovely holiday cottage in a great location. blakeney is a great place with great pub/s, restaurants, deli, excellently equipped spar, fresh fish shop, art galleries and gift shop. Great location to jump on the coast hopper to explore other coastal towns and villages (make sure you check times online! particularly in winter!). phone coverage isn't great in the area but wifi is available in the restaurant/bar down the road. . the cottage is lovely and close to the harbour. Very quiet. Parking is £3 per day in the public car park just up the road. Wood burning stove is wonderful (we had a problem with damp wood though..) and the layout of the living area is well thought out. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped but very basic in terms of cooking pans and utensils particularly, so if you plan to cook, bring your own essentials. (good knives, tongs, fish slice). the cottage was very clean- although I think dog owners have ignored the request not to take dogs into bedroom as the rug had some long black and golden dog hairs!. I would highly recommend the cottage and location and we will return.
Geraldine from East Midlands (17 February 2017)

Last minute booking for a weekend break. . thought it expensive for 3 nights. . . lovely cottage and loved being away with the dogs, could do with something to stop the dogs going upstairs, baby gate or similar. . would go again for the week because we think it would be better value. . enjoyed the white horse, and the fact that everywhere in blakney and surrounding area is geared up for children and dogs making the holiday more enjoyable if you have either.
Jane from Doncaster (06 February 2017)

A lovely compact cottage in a beautiful area.
Gail from Hitchin (09 January 2017)

We've stayed at the crows nest a few times and it's always good - I have to confess I liked it even more it when it was a bit scruffier though. . . positives : beautiful location, clean, lovely little building and well appointed. Negatives : maddeningly irritating shower and the main windows wouldn't open.
Henry from Westcliff On Sea (28 October 2016)

We had a very good holiday in the crows nest and found it very good for 2 of us. We had everything we needed . a few minor things though - shower fitment was broken and had to be hand-held and a seat out the front for sunny days would be an advantage - but really a very comfortable and well equipped cottage.
Pat from Potton Bedfordshire (02 September 2016)

Fab week. Would visit again. . . just a couple of little tweaks sharper knives, a spatula and chairs that push under the table easily.
Aby from Herts (26 August 2016)

Blakeney is a great location for a relaxing holiday and the crows nest is right in heart of the village. We will seriously consider going back again in the future.
Stephen from Colchester (29 July 2016)

A lovely little cottage , but far smaller than I envisaged, with no where to sit out.
Daralyn from Brentwood (11 July 2016)

The cooker hob was locked with no instructions on how to activate and the caretaker took 3 1/2 hours to resolve it and place instructions in the book, the bed was a little hard and the cooking knives were very blunt - but it is easy to criticize. blakeney is beautiful, the cottage was gorgeous and the area a delight. we will be back - enough said!
David from Burgess Hill (01 July 2016)

A lovely cottage in a super location just off high street, a short stroll from the quay and all the facilities. Two excellent restaurants nearby. The spa excellent with its post office and cash point. Wine and milk in the fridge on arrival was a generous touch in this well equipped, comfortable and quiet property. All that was missing from the cottage was a bench outside-all the other cottages had seating. We also needed instructions for the electric radiators and the cooker.
Susan from Durham (24 June 2016)

Directions were inadequate on approach to cottage. . . although property smaller than expected, crockery lacking (no saucers, for example), and a bit cold we enjoyed our stay, blakeney was the best place to be on that coast, the white horse our favourite bar, a lovely area to stay in.
Anna from Cambridge (21 March 2016)

Delightful cottage, my first reaction was "i wish my home was like this," I can see for some that parking would be an issue, but in february, and not in half term, this was no problem. we did find the electric radiator challenging, bit too hot early morning, not hot in the evening and sometimes not on at all, and we couldn't sort it out, we wished there was an over-ride button. the position of the cottage is quite perfect, very quiet, but close to the deli, pubs, restaurant and fish shop, and best of all just to walk out along the sea defences to cley.
Mark from Trowbridge (26 February 2016)

Lovely little cottage and a great location, we would definitely stay here again. It lost a couple of points as there were no matches to light the fire that has been made up for us and there was a double duvet inside a king size duvet cover which was a little annoying at times.
Sara from Congleton, Cheshire (19 February 2016)

Good ,apart from not being warm enough due to a problem with the downstairs radiator. This was fixed by an electrician ,how ether this and the upstairs one both turned off too early. I did not want to play with them after the problems with the ground floor radiator.
Terence from Thetford . Norfolk (05 February 2016)

A lovely little cottage , which my husband and I thought was just perfect in every way , was near to pubs , lovely walks and a little shop for all your needs . the cottage was clean and had everything we needed .
Julie from Leicestershire (04 January 2016)

A lovely cosy cottage, very well equipped with an excellent kitchen and comfortable bed.
Joy from Peterborough (28 December 2015)

Great little cottage, parking up the road ( 100 yards ) £3 of 24 hours. Loved the village the two pubs are completely different but both lovely, we used the cottage as our base for four days travelling to all the villages and towns, we even when to norwich what a nice city. Very happy with this cottage.
Simon from Kettering (04 December 2015)

Lovely cottage with all the equipment needed. Only downside was parking which was ok because of the time of year but would be very difficult in summer. better directions to help finding the cottage would be good as there is no indication in the street of where to look for it!!
Jan from Sudbury, Suffolk (29 November 2015)

Fantastic stay
Kate from Hitchin (12 November 2015)

Just perfect in every way - what a beautiful cottage in a peaceful location, but with all the facilities you need close to hand (in walking distance).
Lin from Witham (06 November 2015)

Really nice cottage in a great location only a few hundred yards from blakeney quay. Well equipped and comfortable cottage. Like may of the cottages in prime positions in blakeney there is no car parking but the nt car park at the quay only costs £10 per week so you only have to park near the deli for 10 mins to unload and reload at the start and end of the holiday. Only negative for me was that the cottage had no wi-fi, although this is available at the nearby (50 yds) white horse inn.
Colin from Doncaster (30 October 2015)

Lovely cottage. Would have appreciated instructions on the use of the cooker though. A dustpan and brush would have been useful!
Des from Bristol (09 October 2015)

A really lovely place to stay. Great location and immaculate cottage. The heating description is that it is run by the log burner but this seems to be what used to be the case. We found that the electric heaters and log burner were independent of each other. A lovely stay, we would certainly stay here again.
Cat from Norwich (28 September 2015)

We loved staying here, ideal location, cosy and perfect for two.
Fiona from Cotswolds (11 September 2015)

Cottage was nice- not mad about blakeney. Arrived in cottage and the old sheets, previous people's rubbish, etc, were still in bags in the lounge. The bedroom still had cleaning products in. Didn't ruin the break but a mystery why it happened.
Nick from Colchester (31 August 2015)

Cottage was lovely and location was great. Only negative was there was no wood for one fire and that there was no instructions on how to use the radiators. although it was the end of august it did get chilly on a couple of evenings and just a boost of the radiators would have taken the chill off. apart from that, the cottage was lovely and clean with everything we needed. will stay again.
Kelly from Sheffield (28 August 2015)

This is a lovely cosy cottage in a great location. Would definitely go back ! . there are however some areas that need some tweaks which are as follows :. 1) need instructions for the induction oven.we had to go on the internet to figure out how to use it. 2) bench outside the cottage is very rickerty and unsafe. From messages left in the guest book this has been the case for some time. 3) only one bath towel is provided for the whole week along with two other towels that are little more than hand towels. This means that the 2nd in the shower has to use a wet or damp towel and by the end of the week it was getting rather smelly as constantly damp.
Julie from Manchester (07 August 2015)

Great cottage in fantastic position, small ,cosy, great use of old style with modern appliances.would like to stay there a least once a year. Location in blakney couldn't be any better, would recommend to anybody.
Robert from Coalville (31 July 2015)

Great one bed cottage on a narrow alley very typically blakeney. . although on the narrow street acces for loading and off-loading was never a problem. . great pub and deli within yards and only 100 metres to the wares edge and a large n.t. Car park
Terry from Brinklow,Warwickshire (24 July 2015)

Lovely cottage in a great location
Sue from Leicester (22 June 2015)

No instructions for the cooker, and couldn't get it to heat up. We ended up doing jacket potatoes in the microwave and avoided getting food that needed baking. Also the heating needed to be tweaked to get working. neither issue was a real problem, but both equally inconvenient.
Rob from Scarborough (19 June 2015)

Happy overall and a good location but no instruction manuals available for oven and microwave oven.
Peter from Essex (05 June 2015)

Loved the cottage. Lovely location.
Linda from Basildon (22 May 2015)

A small but comfortable well equipped cottage perfect for two people, only a short walk to the beach, shop and restaurant. The only downside was the parking which was only a problem when we had to pack and unpack when we arrived and left. we will definitely go again.
Eileen from Stoke On Trent (08 May 2015)

Love the crows nest. Would highly recommend and will be going back again
Hollie from Suffolk (09 February 2015)

Blakeney's a very pleasant spot. . very quiet location, up a side alley from the high street - but that means no view. The wood-burning stove's nice but expensive to run (a £5-bag of logs every evening) and probably wouldn't cope with a real cold snap. Firm and for our tastes over-springy bed - we laid all available spare duvets and blankets under the sheet to soften it. We couldn't open the windows upstairs or -down so any smoke escaped from the stove hung around all night. Remember to open the flue fully before you open the stove door!. definitely a place for a couple who like being close together!
Mic from Hannover (05 December 2014)

The tv did not work on day one or day 3 and 4 of a four day holiday! the bed was uncomfortable as was the very small settee, without purchasing wood there would not have been heating in the bathroom. The sink rap in the bathroom dripped all night long. You could hear the movement and conversations of neighbours. The cleaning conducted was poor
Chris from Leicester (27 October 2014)

Great location and cottage was very cosy. Found the bed and sofa a little uncomfortable and the tv a bit too small. Bed sheets and towels very clean and lots if hot water for showers etc. Bottle of wine and milk on arrival which was a nice touch. Overall very good value for money, the cottage could do with a little revamp, some nice features/furniture/ornaments there but some dated.
Confirmed Purchaser (17 October 2014)

White & crisp, comfy & cosy. T.m.s.nice & handy on arrival. Wine was a bonus. Parking no problem. Tv reception iffy but so is all n/norfolk. Wonderful l/wend good pubs & food.
Terence from Godmanchester Cambs (22 September 2014)

Cottage was very well equiped. Very of its time. Plenty of info to help you choose places to visit. Cosy but could have done with slightly bigger settee.
Catherine from Biggleswade (19 September 2014)

We really enjoyed our norfolk stay. . however I feel the crows nest holiday cottage could be improved by changing the door mat regularly, having the bench fixed as its lovely to be able to sit outside and also having a decent t.v signal and possible wifi.
Confirmed Purchaser (25 July 2014)

We love staying here. Would highly recommend
Hollie from Hadleigh (24 March 2014)

The crows nest is in a good location and is a very cosy cottage but it is in need of some tlc.
Cheryl from Hertfordshire (03 March 2014)

Lack of doors, and poor sound proofing were a problem.
Christine from Kings Langley (27 September 2013)

We had a wonderful time at the cottage and enjoyed our stay in north norfolk. We would highly recommend the experience to all.
Meurig from Bridgend, Wales (09 August 2013)

Fabulous location, cosy and comfortable. felt at home straight away. everything we needed was in the cottage and we had a wonderful break.
Carol from Westcliff On Sea (22 February 2013)

Very sweet little cottage in a great location. Parking was no problem at all
Amy from Hoddesdon, Herts (28 January 2013)

Wonderful location.
John from Southwell (25 January 2013)

A centrally placed cottage close to village centre. Parking locally. All kitchen needs in place. Log fire which powers the 2 upstairs radiator - so a bit chilly on winter days unless organised with a supply of dry wood. Good dog walking country and information at the cottage of what to do and where to go.
Customer 58 (December 2012)

Good location comfortable cottage
Rita from Castle Donington (01 October 2012)
