Fab apartment, excellent location and loved the area. Will definitely stay again and no hesitation in recommending Trisha from Rotherham (07 July 2017)
The main, unexpected problem with the accommodation was the lack of the promised private car parking space. Major construction work has now taken over the former car parking spaces. We were given no warning of this and it made our arrival difficult and confusing. In addition there were one or two minor issues with the accommodation. The lock to the front door broke, which meant that we were unable to leave the flat until it was repaired. There was a speedy response to our request for the repair, and the broken, lighted bathroom mirror was repaired at the same time. Apart from these issues, we were very happy with the clean, very well equipped flat and its superb position in the main street. Sandra from Bridgend (12 May 2017)
Very cosy apartment with all mod cons. no pets was attractive to us. Confirmed Guest (21 April 2017)
A lovely apartment which was perfect for my little family. Big enough for the 3 of us and plenty of space for my 19 month old to roam and explore safely. Location is amazing! parking was good though when leaving our space we did sometimes worry someone may take our spot (this never happened though). Lucy from Derbyshire (14 April 2017)
Excellent apartment in an excellent spot. Helen from London (10 March 2017)
Lovely apartment and wells - but early morning deliveries plus work on building site opposite starting early disrupted our sleep in a big way David from Southwold (03 March 2017)
A great holiday in a superb location. The accommodation was good with some good touches such as a flask to use for picnics. . on down side the tv didn't work/wasn't tuned, sink in bathroom was impossible to shave in and the flat had a problem with bees?!. one distinct issue is the noise from the street, the flat is right on the main street and morning deliveries are noisy waking us up most days at 7am. . the book describing the flat and things to do needs a bit of an update. Simon from York (02 September 2016)
An excellent and well equipped holiday apartment. Very spacious and metres away from local amenities. Only noticed the noise of emptying bins early in the morning on a couple of occasions. Would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a family holiday at the seaside. Ekers from York (26 August 2016)
The apartment is well equipped and is situated in a fantastic location in wells-next-the-sea. We have stayed there before and therefore were very keen to return. As we visit wells every year we will certainly be booking this apartment for our next holiday there. Andrea from Rotherham (05 August 2016)
Great spot and accommodation. Our 4th visit. Maybe a little 'freshen-up' required, but still love it. Jim from Glasgow (15 July 2016)
What a gorgeous apartment in a beautiful little place. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Thank you. Kerrie (24 June 2016)
Good location, convenient for shops, shore & excellent eateries. Car parking space a most welcome addition. Could benefit from secondary glazing. William from Birmingham (17 June 2016)
Very comfortable cottage, great location, only fault we really have is the noise early in the morning of delivery vans, and cars racing down the road late at night. this as not put us off wanting to return, very well equipped kitchen. Sylvia from Doncaster (06 May 2016)
Spacious well equipped apartment in great location Carol (26 February 2016)
Great location but the noise from early morning deliveries to shop opposite did wake us up most days but not a ptoblem if you are the sort of person who can get straight back to sleep. I am but the misses isn't!! Simon from Northampton (20 November 2015)
Well equipped apartment. . the only grumble was bath was not cleaned, there was grime around the bathtub. Karen from Leicestershire (23 October 2015)
More info about parking needed as I had to pay £27.50 for the week .info in the flat should have been available before our arrival Lewis from Shepshed (09 October 2015)
Great property, nicely located for my purposes. Comfortable and pleasant, however, internal noise from I imagine was the boiler got to disturb sleep initially. Rod from Nottingham (02 October 2015)
We had a lovely time and were very comfortable in the flat. It is clean and generally well-equipped, and in a great location, so we walked everywhere and only took the car out once in the whole week. . our only problem was that we had to buy washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, kitchen handwash and binliners. I really feel that these items should be provided in a self-catering apartment - they are not the sort of thing I expect to have to buy when I am on holiday!. . we have booked again for next year, so it's only a small niggle and otherwise we were very happy and had a great time Amanda from Sheffield (25 September 2015)
Second visit to this lovely apartment.well appointed with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Jeni from Cambridge (11 September 2015)
Absolutely wonderful apartment, fantastic location, had everything you could wish for in a holiday. we shall I am sure go again. beautiful retreat. We loved it. Amanda from Cambridge (28 August 2015)
Excellent accommodation. As a poor sleeper I liked seeing the town stir itself early in the morning. Then there was the buzz in the middle of the day and the gradual emptying of the streets in the evening. While one felt right in the middle of things, that flat felt quite removed from them. Lounge was generous and stylish and the galley kitchen, even with a window that looked out on a brick wall, was really well planned. The bedrooms had the bonus of a view, however small, over the marshes, which I wasn't expecting. My one caveat is that a fixed shower head has its limitations - and that once out of the shower the bath towels were clearly intended for people of very little girth Richard from Norwich (21 August 2015)
Extremely well equipped, spacious apartment with a lovely homely feel. Lovely views from the bedroom down to the quay. Car parking is a bit of a pain as you cannot park in the car park next door you have to park about 5 mins away and as we went in peak season off road parking was non existent. Really enjoyed our week but would not return due to the late night/early morning noise! there seems to be a real issue with groups of local teenagers drinking in the streets and unfortunately congregating in the car park next door! most nights we were kept awake until 1.30am by the noise, this isn't further helped by the early morning deliveries and street cleaning most days from 5am. As we went with 2 children ear plugs, which were mentioned in previous reviews were not an option! real shame as it really is a fabulous apartment! Customer 23 from Solihull (07 August 2015)
This was the second time we had stayed at crown and anchor and found it just as enjoyable as before there is so much to do in wells that we didn.t even use the car which was alovely rest for my husband .thank you once again for a very pleasant holiday Janet from Norwich (26 June 2015)
Really enjoyed our stay at crown & anchor, it suited us with the handy convenience store and local shops. downside was the lack of immediate parking which could be a problem later in the season. Noise levels from passing pedestrians was tolerable but again could be a problem later in the season, secondary glazing would help. William from Birmingham (08 May 2015)
Absolutely lovely apartment , which is very homely and everything you could possibly need inside, and great comfy beds, and a perfect location . Amanda from Stockport (17 April 2015)
The apartment is lovely, very clean, well equipped and stylish. It is very close to the quay and local shops etc. Unfortunately, as it is so central, it is also quite noisey, with late night drinkers and very early morning delivery people. . it was disappointing to find out that the parking permit cost £27.50 for the week and was not free and that you could not park in the car park next to the apartment, it would have been useful to know this before we booked in the details provided by yourselves. Kate from York (03 April 2015)
This apartment is lovely and in a very central location. unfortunately, this resulted in a lot of early morning noise from litter collections to deliveries. the permit you are told to purchase does not cover the car park outside! however, we were told to park in the private parking bay which is free for residents of the apartments. the bedroom window is directly above the electricity sub station which hums. sadly not a location for light sleepers. Christine from Portsmouth (20 March 2015)
We returned to this property having previously stayed there because the standard was so high. I would stay there again and I would recommend it to others. Christine from Pudsey (13 March 2015)
Excellent accommodation well equipped and very central Mark from Carlisle (20 February 2015)
Looked just like the pictures ,warm cosy plenty of space Jeffrey from Selkirk (04 January 2015)
Best cottage we have very stayed at. Lawrence from Lakeway, Texas Us (28 December 2014)
We were very impressed by the accommodation provided. The only reason the feedback is not all 10 out of 10 is because, due to the central location, it can be a little noisy early in the morning as rubbish collection, deliveries to local shops and street cleaning take place. Otherwise everything was perfect. Christine from Leeds (28 November 2014)
This is a great spacious and well-equipped property. John from Peak District (24 October 2014)
Have stayed at this property 3 times, brilliant value, location and fittings. Have tried other properties in wells, but always come back to the extent of putting our dog in kennels, so we can stay at this property. Ian from Leyburn (05 September 2014)
It's a fantastic apartment in a great location. It's very well equipped, very clean with plenty of facilities, shops nearby. Wells is a great spot for exploring the coast and surrounding area. We'd definitely stay again. Michelle from Stockport (22 August 2014)
This was our third visit to the crown and anchor, my only criticism would be that the linen and towels could do with being renewed, overall an excellent apartment. Nancy from Glasgow (18 July 2014)
The apartment is really good, the only fault is the noise at night and very early in the mornings, but having such a good position on the main street of wells you have to expect it to be busy. Maureenl from Lincoln (20 June 2014)
A superb apartment within easy walking distance of just about everywhere in wells. It would have scored higher for location if it were not so noisy overnight, due mainly to the local authority (they swept the adjacent car park at 5.00am!); if you are not a heavy sleeper, take earplugs! also, take hand towels as they are not provided. Carole from Suffolk (13 June 2014)
It was family that stayed here , we stayed downstairs at the admiral which was also great, but I have to say the crown and anchor just had that little something else !!! everything was perfect and the added wifi was another bonus , in fact we have already booked to stay here again next year, and we will have this one next year . Amanda from Stockport (30 May 2014)
We had a fantastic time at the crown and anchor, it was a beautiful well equipped apartment in the centre of wells. We enquired about parking at the tours information centre and the lay helpfully pointed us to free on street parking saving us £30 for a permit. We will probably stay here again it was ideal - comfortable with loads of space for 4 people and a baby. Catherine from Leicester (25 October 2013)
Lovely apartment, great location, well equipped kitchen.a little gem. Tina from Reydon (04 October 2013)
Car-parking is an issue in wells -n -t- sea Pete (30 August 2013)
Apartment was fantastic, couldn't ask for more. Home from home, everything you could need was there. Unfortunately the location let it down. Being in the town the very early morning deliveries to the shops gave no chance of a lay in! Hayley from Halstead, Essex (16 August 2013)
We think anyone would be hard pressed to find fault with this property. This was our second visit here. Ideally situated, so well equipped and clean. We realise our individual scores are very high but none of our party could find any faults and as we love norfolk this will be our first choice. Leslie from Northampton (02 August 2013)
Wonderful apartment in brilliant location. handily placed for everything along the north norfolk coast. Shame about the extra cost for parking but that didn't detract from the overall experience. Will definitely stay again if we holiday in norfolk again. Richard from West Yorkshire (28 Jun 2013)
The flat was spacious & finished and equipped to a very high standard and very conveniently located in an idylic coast situation. Paul from Knaresborough (31 May 2013)
A beautiful property, stunning interior and every comfort one could wish for. The apartment in real life surpasses its photos and offers a sanctuary in the wonderful setting of wells. We had a fabulous time, lots to see and do locally, thank you Julie from Norwich (24 May 2013)
Elegant and spacious with light and airy feel. well equipped kitchen. Meriel from Haslemere Surrey (26 April 2013)
Very comfortable flat in an excellent location. Jeni from Cambs (19 April 2013)
Comfortable Elena from Londom (05 April 2013)
Well situated, a lovely roomy flat Frances from Loughborough (12 October 2012)
Great well equipped kitchen, well furnished nice central location Confirmed Purchaser (05 October 2012)
Without exception all our party (4) thought this was our best holiday let to date as is reflected in our ratings, we do love norfolk and this property will be our first choice. Customer 54 (October 2012)
High standard of appliances and very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and nicely furnished. Sarah from Melton Mowbray (17 August 2012)
Excellent location Lawrence from Liverpool (20 July 2012)
This apartment is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen is well designed and equipped. The DVDs and cookery books were much appreciated. We loved the location, right in the middle of the town, and the sound of people going up and down outside. Lovely shops selling fresh fish and veg. Just a minute’s walk away and two minutes from the quayside. Customer 57 (July 2012)
Great location, comfortable and relaxing Graham from Farnham Surrey (15 June 2012)
Property very well situated in the town of Wells by the Sea. Ideal for the town and exploring the local area. Seal trips are a must and the local crabs that seem to be sold everywhere are sweet and succulent go on give them a try! Customer 59 (June 2012)
The apartment is spacious and elegant and, if you like being in the centre of a town, you will enjoy the convenience and liveliness plus a view of the sea. The kitchen is equipped for serious cooking - plenty of space and pots, pans, roasting trays, sieves and knives galore. You will not want to miss the Crab House Cafe (opposite the Ark Royal pub) - the perfect grilled lobster and baked crab. Customer 60 (April 2012)
Superbly well appointed apartment. Every kitchen utensil & plenty of household stuff. Everything we needed was in there. Very spaceous with lovely decor. A little late night noise from passers-by but not nearly enough to negate the great apartment. Situated in the centre of this little town. Customer 61 (June 2011)
The flat was very comfortable and despite being in the main street in Wells, was relatively quiet. We really liked the location and it was nice to have the small terrace to sit out on in the evening sun. Customer 62 (June 2011)
Fantastic location and a very clean comfortable and well equipped flat, just need internet access!! Customer 63 (April 2011)
Fantastic appartment, our second visit, street can be noisy, last thing at night and first thing in the morning. Great walks, and good pubs to eat at. Walks to Holkum and Stiffkey are fantastic. Customer 64 (March 2011)
A spacious apartment and everything you need for a pleasent stay was there. Customer 65 (August 2010)
A really stylish property in a central location. Lovely well stocked kitchen, modern bathroom with plenty of DVD’s for those wetter days. Customer 66 (August 2010)
Furnished to a high standard. Customer 67 (July 2010)
Very clean and spacious. Well located in the town centre. We had a really relaxing week there and that was a lot to do with how comfortable we were in the accommoadation. We will definitely return to Wells and the Crown and Ancho. Customer 68 (July 2010)
We loved the property and the area, however the street it is on can be noisy at night and early morning so take earplugs. Customer 69 (April 2010)
Flat was well appointed, comfortable beds and furniture and centrally located. Customer 70 (April 2010)
The location, being only 100 yards from the quay. Customer 71 (March 2010)
Did not feel like holiday accommodation, but a luxury home. I was very impressed by the standard of furniture and appliances. Customer 72 (March 2010)
Very well appointed and in an excellent position in Wells. Customer 73 (January 2010)
The lounge was of excellent size and well furnished. Good storage space in the bedrooms. Customer 74 (December 2009)
An exceedingly well equipped property. However the stairs from lounge to bedroom/toilet were very steep. Caretaker/owner not seen. Customer 75 (September 2009)
Excellent location. Fabulous property, very well-equipped. Customer 76 (September 2009)
Terrific for long walks through the pine woods to Holkham and back to Wells along the waters edge. Crabbing from the harbour at high tide keeps children (and adults) amused for hours. Excellent meals available from the two pubs in the town, Ollie’s and the Globe Inn which also has live music and a covered patio area. A fantastic snack bar is located directly under the apartment and they even take orders for picnics! The accommodation was wonderful, inviting and extremely comfortable. It had a lovely homely and welcome feel to it. It was particularly nice that the owners had left little personal touches with jigsaws, games and a draw full of "useful" things. Reluctant to recommend it to others as we want to keep it secret to ourselves! We had a thoroughly lovely two weeks and will certainly consider staying there again. Customer 77 (July 2009)
