Absolutely lovely place to stay, clean & tidy, everything you'd need for a week or two away from it all. If asked would I stay here again it would be a definite 'yes'. . it's location is only a few miles from falmouth and other places to visit - st.ives 20 miles, st. Austell 22 miles, lizzard point 20 miles, new quay 23 miles. Falmouth itself is lovely, lots of activities to do, lots of shops & eateries ( our favourite 'amanzi) south african restaurant has food to die for & you need to check out the cocktails too!. anyway back to croughy barn, its definitely worth a visit and the owner janette was a very welcoming host who explained everything we needed to know about the barn. Would love to go back next year!!! Jason from Oldham (05 August 2017)
Couldn't ask for better Denise from Colchester (13 May 2017)

A well maintained cottage in a very quiet location. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this and would visit again. Alan from Redditch (24 September 2016)
Lovely cottage in a rural setting, slept well due to quiet location and very comfortable bed. Falmouth nearby with lots of shops and resturants. Very good location for the south west of cornwall able to do something different everyday with out travelling far. I would recommend this cottage to any couple who like peace and quiet. Peggy from Cambridge (17 September 2016)
Great location about 15 minutes drive from truro/falmouth/redruth. Good for exploring lizard, tintagel, eden, st michaels mount, etc Martin from Leeds (10 September 2016)
The hoilday was perfect the weather brilliant but what made it better was the barn clean in great location and the owner of the property was kind very helpful and friendly it made our week Michelle from Eastbourne (13 August 2016)
Beautiful peaceful location. well equipped. Pleasant and kind host. . . the only minor criticism was the tv was too small for the venue. A decent full size tv in the main room would be a very welcome addition. . cornish arms 20 mins walk away was a great little pub with decent food and a pleasant host. . . ideal cottage for couples / partners. Philip from London (06 August 2016)
The location of the property was perfect for exploring cornwell Graham from Berry (30 July 2016)
Very comfortable and clean. Welcome tray, flowers and milk etc much appreciated. Situated within easy access of many attractions, n.t. Houses, coast etc. Had to drive to the pub as 15 minute walk was not an option for us however when we. Got there the food was excellent with many choices. Philip from Churchdown/Gloucester (21 May 2016)
The owner was very welcoming and the barn is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. situated approx halfway between truro and falmouth it is a perfect base for discovering cornwall. We had a very full week and would definitely use the barn again. Lesley from Isle Of Man (23 April 2016)
Cottage was well equipped but small problems lighting in kitchen cast shadows over work places when cooking and microwave need to be larger. Tv was small for size of room size of a computer monitor Derek from Norwich (10 October 2015)
Excellent accommodation, very handy for anywhere on the south coast. Very quiet spot. Comfortable, clean, everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Would stay again. Marilyn from Wolverhampton (29 August 2015)
A lovely place to stay and thoughtful welcome tray on arrival. Well-equipped and spotlessly clean. . mobile internet coverage in the area very patchy, so wi-fi in the cottage would be a wonderful bonus. (i had to keep in close contact with elderly parents whilst staying there). the televisions could also do with an upgrade. Would certainly stay there again if in cornwall as it was really nice Christine from Hampton-In-Arden (01 August 2015)
Great cottage and super host but not much in the way of things to do . Peter from Solihull (18 July 2015)
Very nice quiet spot and well located. could have been a little cleaner (we had to clean the shower head) and wifi would be a good addition. . that said, it was very nice and we would recommend to others. Steve from Macclesfield (11 July 2015)
Internet reception, or lack of it, was the only irritation. The cottage was fantastically well-appointed and we were made to feel most welcome both there and in the superb local pub, the cornish inn, where the beer and food were both first class. Richard from Sunderland (30 May 2015)
Very nice accommodation and location. Perfect for seeing cornwall's nt properties, beaches and galleries in st. Ives and newlyn. cosy and warm cottage with a great kitchen. Jane from Worcester (09 May 2015)

The owner was very pleasant .the cottage was in a great setting being very quiet and peaceful. Philip from Grimsby (26 July 2014)
We have been visiting cornwall for over 30 years and have not found any where as lovely as this cottage. The owner was helpful and welcoming, but also discreet. The cottage was extremely comfortable and had every thing we needed. The outside patio and furniture were a treat, and some where to relax, at the end of our days out. The cottage is in an ideal location for exploring the north and south coasts and we really enjoyed the cycle trails all linked to enable us to ride to the sea!!! we are looking forward to returning soon. Rhodes from Northampton (31 May 2014)
Good location, very comfortable, well equipped, owner very pleasant and helpful. Smashing local pub - cornish arms. Susanne from Kidderminster (10 May 2014)
Faultless accommodation with little touches that make a big difference. David from Bristol (09 November 2013)
We had a fantastic holiday in cornwall and this lovely modern cottage made everything just perfect....... Pip from Winslow (07 September 2013)
Lovely little cottage which was well equipped and the location was ideal to get to surrounding places. There was a lovely welcome tray on arrival and a fresh vase of flowers which made the our arrival very welcoming. . only downsides were there were alot of spiders in the bedroom, no sooner would we get one out and another appeared. Also, there was mouse or some rodent either in the walls or under the floorboards. Every night we heard it running around. It sounded like it was in the room but there was no way for it to get it. It would be interesting to know if anyone else hears it? Jennifer from Northampton (03 August 2013)
Lovely cottage, very quiet and in a wonderful location for both coasts lines. Sally from Hailsham, Sussex (20 Jul 2013)

Excellent accommodation in a quiet location within easy reach of the West of Cornwall. The owner is welcoming and has done that bit extra to make her property special. The area is great for touring, both town, country and coast. Plenty to do and visit. The local pub provides a great welcome, decent food and beer just a fifteen minute walk away. This property has an excellent kitchen, if you want to self cater. Highly recommended. Customer 45 (May 2011)

This property was possibly the best cottage yet. Everything needed had been catered for. It was immaculate, peaceful but close to main roads to get about. The owner was welcoming and was able to give local information when needed. Fantastic. Thank you Customer 50 (June 2010)

Comfortable, well-equipped and remote! Customer 55 (July 2009)
The property is of a high standard and in a peaceful location. Customer 56 (May 2009)
Very comfortable with all the ’mod cons’. We felt very much at home there. Great base to travel around Cornwall. All the equipment was of very high standard + little extras left for us by the owner like: fresh flowers, milk in the fridge, ground coffee, Cornish cookies etc were much appreciated. Having good weather this time of the year was a an unexpected bonus. We hope to re-visit in future and will definitely recommend the barn as well as the whole brochure to our friends and family. Customer 57 (November 2008)
The property itself and the location were both excellent. In particular, the bed was large and very comfortable. This has not always been the case with cottages we have rented as some owners seem to think a rock-hard mattress is good for paying customers. We have never returned to anywhere with a hard bed! Well done this owner! Customer 58 (August 2008)
Crougy Barn is a very stylish barn conversion, quietly located and well-placed for visiting a good range of Cornish gardens. We would recommend it to friends. Customer 59 (May 2008)
Quiet location but close to all main attractions, lovely attention to detail by the owner. Customer 60 (May 2008)
The property was well cared for and the owner was an excellent host even though for her it was a very busy time. We would recommend the property to friends and have already given details of the website to work colleagues. Customer 61 (May 2006)
