A beautiful cottage. Fantastic decor and cleanliness. Good location for all the local attractions. shops in caernarfon adequate for all daily needs. We had a great stay. Thank you. Val from Newark (07 July 2017)
The soundproofing between the cottage and the next door house appears to be non-existent and every word and sound could be heard in our bedroom. The bathroom was small and the toilet was so near the bath it was impossible to sit down without sitting sideways on the seat! the cottage was well appointed to a high standard, but was at the back of a semi derelict house and the surrounding area needed to be refurbished. It would have been impossible to sit outside as the courtyard was very untidy and run down. . what a shame, as overall the cottage was situated in a perfect location for touring north wales. David from Pembrokeshire (16 June 2017)
Beautiful cottage with top quality fittings. A little isolated . met the owner on arrival who showed us around at this point she mentioned the lock on front door was not working correctly but after a lot of twiddling it would lock. Unfortunately, this created a issue for us as for the 3 nights we where there we could not lock it and felt uncomfortable going out each night with only a interior door locked with no alarm and all our possessions in the cottage. The hat stand in the hall was used to push up against the door at night. So to summaries issue involved did not make the package value for money. John from Liverpool (31 December 2016)
A great house which has everything you could need and more. Very good quality and lovely design. . . sandra was very helpful and provided a nice welcome tray. . . plenty to do in the local area close by. . could hear next door on one occasion but not for long. . . would love to visit again another time. Gill from Nantwich (08 December 2016)
Good property for visiting north wales. easy to visit all areas. The property is good to come home to after a day's outing. The neighbours were pleasant. If you like it quiet, this is the place for you. We would definitely return again. Sandra from Maltby (02 September 2016)
An excellent location to holiday in north wales. We used this as a base to walk snowden and visit barmouth and betws-y-coed. Bangor was a short drive to satisfy any shopping and to visit the national trust penrhyn castle. The cottage is in a quiet location and is great for a couple. Steve from Nottingham (26 August 2016)
Upon reading other reviews we agree strongly with all of those who enjoyed both the property and the location. The welcome not only from the owners mother, when we made arrangements by telephone for the keys, but our way in which we were greeted by the owner herself, set the standard for our stay. Yes you could note the size of the bathroom or the sound proofing but neither detracted from a very comfortable holiday. The weather! it rained every day -but that was not the fault of our hosts and so we have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending bwthyn bach Lawrence from Staffordshire Moorlands (15 July 2016)
First impressions are important. We found the pot holed courtyard and scaffolding on the adjacent building off putting. The damp, musty smell on entry never really cleared from the kitchen. The wafer thin wall between the bedroom and the next door neighbours meant that we were aware of them talking and could clearly hear their music. We liked the location and size of the rooms but would not say it was a cosy cottage, more part of a large country house. Roger from Maidstone (08 July 2016)
Brilliant holiday Bethany from Spalding (08 April 2016)
Pros:. lovely cottage. convenient location. great facilities with every conceivable appliance provided. . cons:. shower headroom and positioning of loo probably wouldn't suit a large person. . slightly noisy neighbours for 1/2 an hour each evening, but they can only be heard in bedroom. Potholes at entrance to cottage are to be avoided where possible and are deceptive when filled by rain. Angharad from Cwmbran (01 April 2016)
This cottage is a great little cottage to spend a few days away. Everything you need a little home from home.. will be staying here again! Steve from Ribble Valley (29 February 2016)
Fabulous place to stay..could not fault the accommodation..fully equipped with everything that you require..would recommend it to anyone and would certainly stay there again Alison from Cambridgeshire (13 November 2015)
Hot water supply in the bathroom was not good at all.. otherwise everything was great! Kasumi from Oxford (02 November 2015)
Worked well for us, toilet was a bit of a challenge Confirmed Guest (16 October 2015)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed the location and look forward to seeing the progress of the works. Julie was around most days working hard on the grounds. We were blessed with beautiful weather, so were able to explore to our hearts' content. Mary from Thorngumbald (02 October 2015)
Lovely cottage. Bathroom a little cramped, but the rest of the cottage is very spacious. Lots of storage space for walking and cycling gear. Loved the upstairs lounge. Great location, just outside caernarfon. Very easy to get to snowdonia, anglesly and all the other great places in north wales. The main house is undergoing renovation and with a little imagination it is easy to see how great it will be once completed. Debbie from Boston (28 August 2015)
The standard of the cottage was very high. We loved it there. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. And the lady who looks after it was so friendly on the phone. We toured around and it was a great base. We have recomended it to our friends. Pamela from Swansea (08 May 2015)
This was our fourth visit. The cottage is perfectly located for our needs and is extremely well equipped. The only downside is water pressure and no dishwasher but these are minor inconveniences. Christine from Cheltenham (08 December 2014)
The accomodation is generally excellent with a large kitchen/dining area, a magnificent bedroom (with vast wardrobes) and a very spacious upstairs lounge area. The only drawback is the positioning of the toilet which is so close to the bath that people with long legs (like me) have difficulty in sitting down! Mike from Chichester (17 October 2014)
Very disappointing. the attached house is derelict. courtyard is broken and potholed. no useable "private sitting out area". the grounds are not being maintained and are therefore not accessible. the grassed area by the line post is not private. Party wall between bedroom and next door's living room is paper thin. we spoke in whispers to avoid being overheard. . although well equipped with top of the range gadgets, a sink plug and a good pressure on the hot water tap is more useful. the shower is inadequate because of the low water pressure. . bwthyn bach does not reflect the standard we expect from your company. Pamela from Swansea (19 September 2014)
This is a nicely appointed cottage in a good location. We wouldn't go back simply because we don't do repeat visits. . as you see from above, it has much in its favour. The problems are -. 1) a paper thin wall between the cottage bedroom and next door's living room. 2) we were unable to establish any sort of internet connection. 3) less seriously, we'd have loved a dishwasher! Stephen from Beckenham (29 August 2014)
Accomodation spoilt by noise in bedroom from next door. Big house ajoining and grounds in poor state Elaine from Leicestershire (22 August 2014)
Beautiful cottage and very well appointed. High chair, cot and stair gates were provided and all looked brand new. Good location to access anglesey and snowdonia. Would go back again. Duncan from Burnley (15 August 2014)
Lovely cottage to stay in, well equipped for all our needs (and beyond). situated perfectly for being able to travel to sights and attractions in snowdonia. June from Canterbury (27 June 2014)
Loved every minute of our holiday and would certainly go back to bwthyn bach Glenda from Harmondsworth, Middlesex (06 June 2014)
We have stayed at this cottage three times it is an ideal location for us. It is always clean well equipped they provide everything you could need. We will definately book this cottage again when we visit this area. Christine from Cheltenham (02 May 2014)
Bedroom could do with sound proofing as you can hear the neighbours very clearly especially at night Pete from Ellesmere Port (24 March 2014)
Spotlessly clean cottage but locked, cold and unwelcoming on arrival in march after 250 mile journey. lavish fittings and equipment but not cosy or homely. Hot water system is insufficient to provide a reasonable bath and barely reaches the kitchen tap, we would forego the chandeliers in favour of hot water for the washing up. Lynn from Hunstanton, Norfolk (21 March 2014)
This cottage is the best we have stayed in. It equiped with everything you could possible need. We have stayed ther twice and will definately stay again when we are next in north wales. I would highly recommend it to others. Christine from Cheltenham (10 February 2014)
Excellent place to stay and would recommend to anyone. The standard of equipment was high and had a lovely outlook across the rear of the property. There is a much older property on site that is undergoing refurbishment but this did not cause any issues during our stay. We look forward to returning again next time we visit wales. Mike from Cheltenham (29 November 2013)
Lovely cottage - spacious, very well equipped & beautifully decorated. It's in a great location for exploring north wales. Nicky from Southend (23 August 2013)
Really enjoyed staying here as lovely accommodation and very well located for day trips around north wales. Craig from Formby (16 August 2013)
A beautiful place and very well equipped Jacky from Chepstow (26 Jul 2013)
Couldn't fault the accom. Top quality everything you could ever need and more to make it a wonderful break. recommend newborough arms for a meal - turn right from property to main road turn right to traffic island take the turning to pwhelli - pub on left hand side. Londis shop in the filling station just down the road Pat from Nottingham (10 May 2013)
Spacious and excellently equipped. Well located within easy reach of a town and snowdonia national park. Peter from Farnham (15 February 2013)
Very clean, modern and comfortable. Fully equipped and everything we needed was there. Excellent location, close to town centre, snowdonia & seaside Phil from Chadderton, Oldham (05 November 2012)
The most comfortable and well equipped cottage we've stayed in, good quality furnishings and a really warm welcome Frank from Halesowen (07 September 2012)
All the house equipment you'll ever need. Confortable, clean. Close to caernarfon centre (3-4 minutes by car). easy and plenty of parking. Ideal location for anglesy and snowdonian national park. Martin from Wetherby (31 August 2012)
Very comfortable accommodation. The kitchen has everything you should need. The quality of the fittings is excellent. We will definitely consider this property again if we are in Wales. Customer 39 (August 2012)
Outstanding comfort and every possible piece of domestic equipment you could ask for - amazing kitchen tools. Bedroom decor was like staying in a 5* hotel. Able to access north coast, lleyn and snowdonia. Brilliant local shop 5 minutes away. Spotlessly clean - we hope to return at some point. Sarah from Bristol (27 July 2012)
Bwthyn Bach was a wonderful cottage with everything you could possibly ask for. Very well equipped, comfortable, clean, peaceful and in a superb location for visting North Wales. It is on the doorstep of the Snowdonia National Park. Customer 41 (June 2012)
Exc equipment Perris from Bolton (25 May 2012)
This cottage is the best that we have stayed in in over 40 years of self catering. The furnishings are superb and the kitchen equipment was spotless, the bedroom is very nicely furnished with plenty of wardrobes. Terence from Ferndown (18 May 2012)
Everything was superb - including the weather. Customer 44 (May 2012)
We have been on self catering holidays for about 40 years and have to say that this property is the best that we have ever stayed in. The furnishings are really good and the facilities excellent. There is plenty to do locally and if you don’t mind a short drive there are excellent walks. I would recommend that a local O.S. map be purchased prior to arrival so that footpaths can be determined. Customer 45 (May 2012)
Extremely spacious and well appointed cottage, beautifully decorated and well equipped. Situated in a quiet, rural location, perfect for visiting north Wales, Snowden and Anglesey. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Bwthyn Bach and hope to be able to visit it again. Customer 46 (April 2012)
Beautiful cottage in a lovely area of Wales, we had a lovely stay here. Will definitely return. Customer 47 (February 2012)
Lovely accommodation, very spacious with good facilities. Good location for visiting Caernarfon & coast. Warm welcome. Customer 48 (February 2012)
Bwthyn Bach was in a fantastic location for us as we planned to do some cycling and hill walking. The accommodation was very close to the cycle path that takes you along the coast, and only a short drive to Snowdon. The property was very spacious for 2, with lots of modern appliances in the kitchen. Customer 49 (February 2012)
This cottage is a lovely place to stay, comfortable, clean and very well equipped. We loved every room, elegant bedroom, well equipped and modern kitchen, compact bathroom with everything you need, and the upstairs lounge was charming. All fixtures and fittings were of a very high quality. We were made very welcome and there was even a welcome pack of tea, coffee, and Welsh Tea Cakes. It was the retreat we were looking for and we would love to visit again. Customer 50 (November 2011)
An excellent venue, convenient for many interesting places to visit. Customer 51 (October 2011)
Generously equipped and very well-furnished. An attractive and immaculate cottage very well situated for exploring North Wales and Anglesey. Customer 52 (October 2011)
We have been visiting cottages throughout England and Scotland for many years, and have rarely found such an ideal cottage. It was perfectly located to visit North Wales and Anglesey and was very comfortable. Often cottages for 2 people, with one bedroom, are very small , this was different , it was spacious and very well equipped. The owners were very helpful and friendly and we had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We would recommend it to other couples. Customer 53 (August 2011)
