Great place. Very good value for money. Bed wasn't the most comfortable and the wifi needs improving as we couldn't get any reception there and wifi was exceptionally poor. However lovely place, great location and would stay again. Hannah from Hove (28 July 2017)
We had a very comfortable stay and wouldn't hesitate to book this accommodation again. Emma from Sleaford (24 July 2017)
Well situated ,nice large comfortable flat, well equipped and bonus of wifi in kitchen dinner area Sue from Nottingham (09 June 2017)
The apartment is located in one of the best areas of sheringham close to the beach & the main shopping areas. The weather was superb whilst we stayed in the last week of may-2017, this always makes one's holiday so nice. . . there was a few negatives, 1). the electric shower was not efficient on maximum setting,. 2). the hot water tap of the bath did not work properly, . (hardly any flow). 3). the apartment is located right next to an "old peoples" residential home with the flat directly below being part of the residential facility, but I must state there was no noise or problems encountered with this. Mr And Mrs Bell from Ely (02 June 2017)
This is our second time at bethel cottage this time for 2 weeks. All was fine and we found the flat more or less how we expected it. However the description of a fridge freezer is a little misleading as it's just a fridge with an ice box. Otherwise , no problems. Jones (26 May 2017)
We had a good holiday, despite bitter weather. The cottage is comfortable, cosy and well equipped, and the location is very good being close to the promenade, the high st and the railway station and coasthopper bus stop. Christine from Woodhall Spa (28 April 2017)
Enjoyed the holiday very much. Lots of places within easy reach. Went to jazz at little theatre. Visited two stately homes. Plenty of walks. Christine from Manningtree (31 March 2017)
Lovely little cottage/flat to stay in for our long weekend in norfolk. Good base for exploring the area and lovely and warm and cosy to collapse in at the end of the day. Jo from East Midlands (20 March 2017)
I would stay again as it was nice to have the freedom of coming and going as I pleased as opposed to a b&b. if I didn't want to get up I didn't have to and if I wanted to veg on the sofa with my foot up I could. so for me it was actually ideal for peace and quiet and independence through the day although I was down for a family visit. . stayed for four nights in march. unfortunately, due to an accident, I was on crutches and did not have the active stay that I usually enjoy so spent more time in the property than I would normally. I like to walk, cycle and swim and was unable to do any of these. on this occasion, I could definitely say that I would have enjoyed myself more if the property had wifi and a full selection of tv channels on freeview - but that is only because I was more housebound than originally planned. Please note, there is an older gentleman that lives in the flat below and someone comes in to check on him every morning at half seven - not sure if the gentleman is hard of hearing but the visitor was audible and woke me up each day but I am a light sleeper. Lose the fuffy bath mat - that was awful. had to go out and buy an additional towel to step on when coming out of the shower. also the shower wasn't the best and was temperamental for temperature control unless it was on eco which then meant that it wasn't very powerful. Had no problems with stripping the bedding off the bed before I left. I now hope to come down for a week's visit next year and this will be my first property of choice. All in all enjoyed my stay. Carol from Edinburgh (09 March 2017)
Loved it, had a lovely christmas here. One to remember. Look forward to staying again soon. Michelle from Sudbury (26 December 2016)
Bethel cottage which is the top floor of a house was, on my visit, warm, quiet an clean. the cottage is owned by the care-home next door, the staff I dealt with when obtaining keys etc were pleasant and helpful. the only thing it lacked as far as I was concerned was wi fi access. Steve from Somerset (02 December 2016)
Very enjoyable, Marjorie from Holbeach (06 November 2016)
The flat was lovely and spacious. It was clean with everything we needed. Lisa from Leicester (17 October 2016)
While simply listed as 'flat 2' in the directions, bethel cottage surprised with both its interior size and supplied equipment, especially given the price paid. The kitchen and living rooms are separate and both quite reasonably sized, and a dining table is present as well. The oven is modern and most standard cooking equipment is already present. The bathroom was clean and had a modern electric shower that was warm and satisfying, particularly after a long day walking. The living room had many leaflets providing information on local events and locales, as well as books and games one happens to be in the mood. The double bedroom is a good size and has blinds as well as curtains should you want a sleep in. The smaller bunk-beds in the other bedroom are fine but are only suitable for those of a shorter persuasion! the house is approximately three minutes walk from the sheringham coast. Overall, a pleasantly good surprise and very good value. Richard from Wellingborough (09 September 2016)
Great place to stop, close to beach and town Neil from Cambridgeshire (05 September 2016)
I found the first impression of the flat pleasing to the eye. The flat was light, airy and spacious. . there was no welcome pack and the only greeting was a compliment slip from the nursing home. no instructions on the use of any equipment ie combination electric cooker or shower. yes these were basic and we managed to work them out but frustrating none the less. . on unpacking we noticed there were no safety bars on the top bunk so due to this being a safety issue my son who is very tall had to sleep on the lower bunk. . unfortunately I was very unhappy to find the flat very dusty especially in the bathroom and kitchen. I found that the blind in the bathroom to have a thick layer of dust all the way along which doesn't amalgamate in one week. the skirting, tops of tiles and ceiling were also dusty. The kitchen had a huge cobweb hanging from the ceiling. We found that there was no washing up bowl or baking tray and the cooker drawer full of crumbs and bits. . the windows opened lovely and wide but unfortunately they were very sticky with black mould round the edges, which is very worrying. . we found it most frightening to have someone in the flat below at midnight who then slammed the front door shut and made us all jump. . . the final item which to me adds insult to injury was to be asked to leave the flat as we found it and to strip our own beds!!. . I always leave a place clean and tidy but to be told! Customer 16 from Bedfordshire (12 August 2016)
Overall we liked the accommodation. Bunk beds would not suit everybody and a separate freezer would be useful for self catering. the freezer in the fridge had not been defrosted. These are small points . everything else was very good and a minor problem was dealt with quickly. P.s. One outer door shuts rather loudly! Brian from Northampton (05 August 2016)
Lovely apartment, excellent location, really well equipped with everything you could need from kitchen equipment to books, games, puzzles and even buckets and spades if you have young children. Its really spacious and the photos don't do it justice. Would definitely book again in the future. Debra from Kings Lynn (18 July 2016)
We come to sheringham every year to dance in the lobster potty festival. We often camp but couldn't this year because my husband has recently had a new knee. I booked bethel cottage to stay for a week to help him recuperate. The festival, as usual, was wonderful. The cottage was very near to the start of the procession, which was great as I had a lot of our group's kit. We had a lovely few days afterwards. The flat was very comfortable, and the staff next door were lovely, and helpful. The flat is also in a very convenient location for beach, town, buses, and trains. Thankyou very much. Bridget from Colchester (08 July 2016)
Bethel cottage is comfortable, good room sizes. It has what you would expect from accommodation these days, a well stocked kitchen although some of the crockery was dirty, a tv and a dvd player. The tv had no freeview options available, a bathroom with shower yet the shower was very poor only a drizzle and the mixer taps on full pelt didn't improve the pressure anyone with a full head of hair would not be able to rinse out the shampoo. Michael from Manchester (24 June 2016)
Nice place to stay and near shops, railway and sea. Confirmed Guest (15 April 2016)
A perfect property for a short break by the beach in a lovely location. parking is on street but we had no problems, the garden is just a small patch out front but you are less than five minutes' walk from the beach and a playground so that really is all the outside space you need. the bunk bed is ok but our six year old was a little nervous about sleeping on a top bunk with no guard rail. kitchen is fine but lack of dishwasher and washing machine might have made a longer stay slightly problematic. overall, a lovely stay. Jeanette from London (28 March 2016)
Well appointed, comfortable and attractive, inclose proximity to sea and shops .the toys were a lovely touch. Marjorie from Holbeach Lincs (11 December 2015)
A nice flat in a nice town. close to all that there is in sheringham. nice and warm on the cold wet days. all the equipment that you could want, though an easier to get right shower would have been helpful. Chris from Gloucester (08 November 2015)
We had a great holiday. The location is perfect and the cottage itself is well equipped and neat. It would really help if there was a full length mirror in the cottage. The one in the bedroom is a chest tilt type, but as the chest is very heavy and is against the wall, the only things you can see in the mirror are your knees, unless you go down onto your knees! we would definitely go back! Christine from Woodhall Spa (18 September 2015)
Very well equiped tea, coffee & sugar where there together with tea towels and washing up liquid. Felt a power shower would make it 10/10 for comfort and equipment. The only thing for us we felt could of been better was the tv was very limited on stations to view, as we did not go out in the evening for drinks and after doing lot of walking all we wanted to do was chill. Bridget from Gayton (11 September 2015)
Excellent location, accommodation met expectations, very comfortable lounge. Ray from Ossett (07 September 2015)
Nice place in good location Paul from Portsmouth (21 August 2015)
We had a great time the flat was brilliant and had everything we needed, the videos and books were an added bonus. The location was great just a short walk to the high street. We usually stay in b & b's but it was lovely to have a the extra rooms, lounge and kitchen made for a more relaxing break. . if we had to give a negative it would be the lack of outside space, although there wasn't any it didn't spoil our break and we would definitely book the same cottage again. Wendy from Leicester (06 July 2015)
Shared garden, it would have been good to have had information in the flat on how to get into the garden, it looked lovely. good location, easy to get about without using the car. Sally from Nuneaton (29 June 2015)
Great location lovely seaside town, 5 minutes walk from beach and walking town. Buckets spades and bats. A once touch for kids Jacqueline from Barnsley (26 June 2015)
Overall very clean and comfortable. But would benefit from a new / more comfortable mattress, a more powerful (electric ?) shower, and a full length mirror. Excellent location for sheringham, close to town centre. Easy free on-street parking. Lots of neighbouring towns and villages to explore. Cromer to the east, and a bit further afield, sandringham to the west. Thought about hunstanton but time didn't permit. Wroxham to the south allowed hiring a motor cruiser for a couple of hours on the broads. A very enjoyable week. Chris from Whitstable (05 June 2015)
Apart from lacking a washing machine; the flat had every thing needed for a comfortable stay in an excellent location, close to shops, the sea and transport links. Pam from Leeds (01 May 2015)
A great location . lots of dust and cobwebs in the bathroom though. A radio would have been great. If we knew there wasn't we would have brought one but it meant we enjoyed the peace. It was also very hot and no instructions how to turn heaters down .people should be aware that there is a residential home next door and the carers did wake us up in the night and early morning being quite loud but that's gheurjob.good selection of entertainment Sylvia from London (10 April 2015)
A very good, spacious, well maintained flat in a very good central location to the town. Richard from Northants (19 February 2015)
We enjoyed a fantastic weekend here in february. The location was perfect for exploring the stunning coast and town and travelling on the steam railway, all within a very short walk from the cottage. We hope to return for a longer break and would highly recommend both the area and the accommodation to others. Lesley-Anne from Essex (16 February 2015)
Lovely place to stay - very clean and warm (we stayed december 2014). would go back. Andrea from Loudwater (03 January 2015)
Surprised there was no welcome pack, every accommodation we have booked there is always a welcome pack of at least tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. There are two entry doors, it would help if the keys had coloured fobs to distinguish outer and inner doors. Annette from Huddersfield (26 September 2014)
