We had a great week here as family of 4. The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped. We liked the conservatory and the back garden. We enjoyed the location as it was close to all the sights and beaches but in a quiet hamlet. Bircham stores very handy too. Photos on website don't do it justice. Karen from Edinburgh (05 August 2017)
All around wonderful. Dean from Loughborough (29 July 2017)
Being dog-escape-proof takes a considerable weight off ones shoulders. local services are not local and you have to travel for most things but you can't have everything. . the cottage and its owner are beyond compare but please don't book it solidly next year because we will almost certainly wish to go there again. . sorry, although taking thousands of photos and loads of videos in my time, I haven't done so here. I really ought to! David from Croydon (08 July 2017)
Lovely cottage well equipped for a toddler and dogs. Clean and tidy, travel cot, stair gates and safe garden. About 20 mons drive to old hunstanton beach which is probably the best and closest,25 mins to wells next to the sea, which is a great day out. Don't miss visiting bircham windmill in the village, lovely tea room, you can climb the windmill and a few animals for little ones to see. A great few days, thank you Gemma from Newark (23 June 2017)
Got back and booked up again for 3mths time. . really find it very relaxing and tranquil . . my dogs think its home from home. . its a great place to recharge your batteries in this hectic world. Gary from Thurrock (17 June 2017)
We had a lovely week at apple tree. The village is lovely, very well located for most of our needs and interests. The cottage itself had a great garden, perfect for sitting out..fabulous birdsong...we really relaxed and felt refreshed by the end of our week. Elizabeth from Rochdale (20 May 2017)
Overall good but cottage could do with some finishing touches. David from Malton (01 April 2017)
We had a lovely time at apple tree cottage. we took all our 4 dogs and it was ideal for them. Close to shops by car and close to beaches which we all enjoyed. It was great watching our new foundling rush into the sea then wonder where her feet had gone! great holiday, weather was kind, very thoughtful and friendly owner. Highly recommended. Carole from Shropshire (18 March 2017)
Apart from the deluge on arrival day had a full week of sunshine so able to enjoy days out all along the coast. David (08 October 2016)
A very nice place for a quite rest. For me this was an ideal place to use as a base to do lots of beach walks (all a few miles away) nice tidy cottage dogs loved it and quickly felt at home. I hopefully will book to go here again. . g&c Gary from South Woodham Ferrers (01 October 2016)
Well maintained cottage. obviously looked after by the owner directly. Driving required to visit anything but that is what one should expect in the country, John from Leeds (24 September 2016)
This is a great cottage and the landlord is very pleasant and easy to deal with. . during our stay we had appalling weather so were unable to use the garden except to let the dogs out a couple of times - so no bbqs even though the equipment was there. . there is a nice pub / hotel round the corner (30 mins walk, kings head), but other than that not a great deal in the village. . . furniture was very comfortable, although as i'm on the tall side i'd have been more comfy without the footboards on the beds. . power shower was functional but gave low throughput, but that was not a real problem. . overall very comfortable place and i'd recommend it. Chris from Cheltenham (02 June 2016)
Basic but comfortable, location was ideal for exploring the coast of norfolk, the cottage was basic , could have done with making the kitchen utensils and pans better, also mattresses could do with improving, apart from that we enjoyed our stay. Sandor from Nottingham (24 October 2015)
Excellent in all respects Barry from Southampton (12 September 2015)
Comfortable cottage in driving range of a number of good beaches. Owner very helpful on arrival. Stephen from Amersham (04 September 2015)
Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in apple tree cottage. Lovely accommodation, very pleasant and helpful owner. Perfect for a quiet break with easy access to north norfolk. We took two greyhounds and they were very happy with the secure garden and local walks. Paul from Chesterfield (20 June 2015)

A little shabby in part and needing to be redecorated and thoroughly cleaned. Jane from Stratford Upon Avon (11 April 2015)
Alittle bit lacking in cooking utensils and we had to wash cutlery and dishes. Before use. Shower could do with upgrading. A lot of dogs hair on sofa and chairs. Overall quite good in other ways. Raymond from Wadebridge (20 March 2015)
Lovely cottage. Owner very friendly. Good location for beach. would definitely go back. Kids aged 7 and 3 loved it. Even our 18 month old husky enjoyed herself. Iona from Welwyn Garden City (30 August 2014)
We really enjoyed our stay so cosy and in a good position to get to places. Maggie from Dunstable (12 April 2014)
The cottage was very comfortable it is unlikely we would go again as we have been to norfolk lots of times and as we get older will need to go where the shopping facilities are on hand Shirley from Oundle (21 September 2013)
A good base as we wished to go out every day Christine from Weeley Essec (07 September 2013)
This has to be the best cottage we have ever rented. Cleanliness was amazing, the equipment was comprehensive and the quality excellent. The owner was more than helpful but was never intrusive. I would recommend apple tree cottage without hesitation. David from Wootton Bassett (31 August 2013)
Brilliant and friendly welcome when we arrived, without being obtrusive. The cottage is ideally located for exploring the coast or villages inland. It is brilliantly equipped and had everything we needed for a lovely stay. It is really spacious and well laid out. We made good use of the conservatory and garden, and bbq was fab (weather permitting). large modern tv and xbox good for quiet night in too. We would definitely stay there again. It was a home away from home. Great for family with children or parties/ couples who love having space. Darren from Nottingham (24 August 2013)
Well equiped, nice friendly wellcome and all you need for the week. Milk and coffee a nice touch. Loved the wildlife in the garden loads of birds. Good base to explore the surrounding area. None Tony from Merthyr Tydfil (03 November 2012)
A lovely cottage, a real home from home in terms of things provided eg the white goods in the utility room, kitchen utensils etc. It felt more like a home than self-catering accommodation. Well thought out. The best cottage we have stayed in. Michelle from London (14 July 2012)
Had everything we needed and was a great place to stay Robert from Kent (21 May 2012)
