The owner was very abrupt when we arrived, her english was non exsistant, so she says . the tv satellite card had run out and they tried to charge us an extra 4€ to get a new one, their english was fine then. We had been charged 60€ cleaning charge, but the git had cobwebs all over the place . the cooker was very slow to warm up. And the man hole cover at the back of the house kept on coming up and flooding the back patio, when the toilet or shower was used, it stunk, it was horrid . the toilet inside the git didn't flush properly . the double beds were very hard. If a little bit of money was spent on it, I would of given it 10/10 . oh the advert says that their is a stream in the back garden, there isn't one . . thanks Caroline from Hitchin (29 September 2018)
Stayed here in june toured all normandy ww2 sites. . local village as a bakery and they will do you rolls with various fillings also a corner shop. . also although we can't speak french or very limited every one was friendly and got on well. . cottage in great location for all our needs. Stan from Cannock (09 June 2018)
The cottage was in a very quiet spot,it was clean and comfortable. In the village was a local shop and bakery they were mostly helpful.the location was ideal for our need for touring the beaches and cemeteries of ww11.also bayuex tapestry and cathedral.would recommend it highly. Stan from Staffordshire (10 June 2017)
Holiday cottage clean and tidy ideal for sightseeing around normandy lovely garden with cows looking into the kitchen . one problem was with the heating it wouldn't stay on so for the first few nights we were very cold indoors indeed. In the cottage you can only have one item on at any time cooker, washing machine or dishwasher otherwise it blows the electric. . my only other thought is bring your own quilts and pillows as the french have blankets Yvonne from Plymouth (01 April 2017)
This is our second visit to la cambe, the cottage is well situated for visiting normandy d-day beaches. It is very comfortable in a lovely rural setting with easy access to nearby villages and towns and the seaside, has everything you need and the owners are very helpful and friendly.
